Husband and I went on a Sunday night, so it wasn't busy. But the owners and staff were amazing. My husband cannot eat gluten and they did just a wonderful job accommodating his needs. We both enjoyed it very much!

I've eaten at plenty Italian restaurants and I must say I wasn't very impressed by the food. Second, before I visited I called to make sure they were open since this town closes everything rather early or are not open at all. As I arrived, it took a while for the host to greet me, then they informed me that the place is only for reservations but if I wanted to stay the only available place for sitting was in the bar. It was our anniversary dinner and we had ran out of ideas of where to go so we decided to stay. The price was decent, but the atmosphere made us feel out of place rather than welcome. Would I dine in here again? Probably not.

It was wonderful. Food was great and service was excellent. The area is quaint and charming. We were a party of 10 so there was a variety of items served. I had the pasta special which was stuffed with pear and gorgonzola cheese. Meatballs were great. My husband had the veal picata and a few others did also. The drink selection was massive so everyone was happy. Habersham was a charming area. First time there.

The best Italian food I’ve ever had. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and conscious of our needs. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The atmosphere was so enjoyable and relaxed. Stefano and Salvatore are incredibly sweet. This is a must try restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

omg...I can’t believe!!! This restaurant is amazing, the colors between red and white is perfect combination and the beat part of this place is obviously the food: I suggest to try beef carpaccio like appetizer and “linguine seafood” for main course! Italian music is the cherry on the cake! I can’t wait to go back

Delightful food. Quaint dining room. Attentive servers and support staff. Our only qualm was the salad could have used more tomatoes and dressing. The restaurant is situated in the Market area of Habersham, a beautiful residential development just outside Beaufort, SC. Magnificent homes nestled under majestic oaks. Worth the trip.

Outstanding New Year’s Eve meal! Our 13 year old daughter enjoyed Beef Tartare and Fish Ravioli for the first time. She wants to go back for Spaghetti & Meatballs. The Calimari salad was awesome as was the Lamb Shank. The owners and staff are first class.

I would give this place 5 stars, but we had a difficult experience here. We vacationed on Fripp Island recently, and drove to Beaufort every night for dinner, about a 20 minute drive from Fripp. This charming Italian place is located a few miles from Beaufort in a small apartment neighborhood called Habersham. The first night we came here, the food was delicious (especially the meatballs and homemade fettucine!), we had a newly acquired waitress named Blaine who was fantastic, and the atmosphere around us was perfect. It was such a magical experience! Since we loved this place so much the first time, we decided to return a few days later. When we did, the restaurant seemed much more tense than before. There were a couple of families arguing around us and the waiters weren't much better. Our waiter seemed snobby and asked if I had an allergy to marinara when I asked him to leave it off of my fettucine noodles. Everyone else in our party felt similarly about him. When our food came out of the kitchen (a fairly long while after we had ordered) my pasta was green with no flavor, and I had specifically asked for no sauce on my pasta, but that I would like sauce on my meatballs. Our waiter also debated with my grandfather about whether they had Grand Marnier. Possibly the worst second-experience we've had at a restaurant!

This was a great Italian food experience. Having visited much of Italy such as Capri, Sorrento, Napoli, Roma, Fiorenza, Milan and Venice food tasting as authentic back here in the US and expecting anything even close just doesn't happen often. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and more importantly the food. Go and enjoy.

Appetizer was salad and bruschetta bread. The bread has the really stiff outside, not my favorite, but I'm like the atmosphere is nice so whatever. Tap water for drinks. My wife had the cheese ravioli and I had the lasagna. The lasagna was really great. 55 bucks for the meal. Not a bad price and I felt like I went to a very expensive restaurant.

We really enjoyed our time at this cozy place. We began our evening with some wonderfully prepared cocktails by Connor the mixologist. Our dinner was well prepared, served at the proper temperature and seasoned to perfection. Cory was wonderful and made us feel welcome. We'll definitely be back soon. On a side note, be sure to make reservations as it is cozy.

It reminded me of dining in the classic trattorias throughout Italy. We came in, were offered a glass of proseco while we waited on our table. As soon as we sat down, Stefano came over and told us he’d go ahead and bring out some spaghetti and meatballs for the kids so they didn’t have to wait. We noticed this was always done wherever we ate in Italy and makes dining with kids so much easier than most places in America. We then had the burrata cheese plate, a salad and the lamb ragu for me and carbonara for my wife. Panna cotta and tiramisu for dessert. All were excellent!! Great wines as well. Servers were very energetic, attentive and paid close attention to details. The little details (in addition to the food!) are what made this place stand out to me above other Beaufort restaurants. Stefano and Salvatore have done a great job training their staff. You’ll enjoy a very authentic Italian experience at Salumi e Formaggi

Service and pricing are excellent. Ambiance is top notch. Wine temperature was a bit high when served. My party of eight had differing views on the veal. Perhaps you might try something else. Other entrees were well received.

Let me clarify this rating. I’m a Habersham resident and have visited Salumi A few times for dinner. The food is very nice and priced well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I would have let it go at that, however. I visited recently for cocktails meeting a few friends at the bar. I ordered 2 Dewars and soda and when I received my bar tap it read (24.00 plus). You scotch drinkers out there know Dewars is a good bar scotch normally priced in the area of (6.50 to 7.50) per drink. I would have been more understanding if I had ordered any of the “Glens” which usually sell for (10.00 up) anywhere else. I don’t know who is in charge of pricing at Salumi, But he is doing a disservice to the restaurant. If I wanted to pay (12.00) for a Dewars I would do so in Manhattan. I will return for the food, but I will not order drinks. I have been involved in restaurants for much of my life and learned early that you make money at the bar not in food. When you come off as being greedy, it sends a bad message in a small town like Beaufort.

Hands down the BEST Italian in Beaufort! From starting with the beef carpaccio through ending with the limoncello shot, it could not have been a better meal! The menu is not extensive, and that's what I like about a smaller restaurant. Know what you do well, and do it to perfection! Will definitely be a regular here. Waiting to sample the brunch menu too. Fabulous and authentic Italian food in the Habersham neighborhood. If you have been to Italy you will feel right at home. The ravioli is light with a delicate flavour. The meatballs are to die for. Try the braised romaine salad. Delish.

Went there for "brunch". Be careful when ordering coffee. Unlike 99.9% of restaurants who serve brunch this restaurant charges by the cup. Server didn't bring this to my attention...

These guys know what they are doing and it shows. If you want to experience authentic Italian cuisine with out crossing the ocean I highly suggest you try their restaurant.

If I could rate just the staff it would be a 5. They were wonderful. The food, not so much. My lasagna was lukewarm and pasta was overcooked to the point of being the consistency of paste. The bread was o.k. but not what you would expect at a fine Italian restaurant. The meatballs were delicious but the sauce was lacking any seasoning. Spaghetti was cooked perfect. The staff was exceptional.
