It's been a very long time since I've gone to Macaroni Grill. Food, staff, and restaurant was horrible. I'm glad I took a chance and went back. The cooks did an amazing job with our food. Everything was great. Our server Katie was phenomenal!! Great recommendations when I had questions on which would be the better option. Great sense of personality and overall made the night very enjoyable. Overall the restaurant was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was great. Good job improving this restaurant. Currently I will recommend Macaroni Grill.

Fantastic! Food was delicious. The meals came hot, on time with a smile, prompt service, our server Katie was the best. She was prompt, kind, attentive. She was very pleasant will certainly go back to this fine eatery. The manager Kris came by and made sure all was well . He was very attentive to making our stay pleasant. This establishment is rated all 10's.

This visit to Macaroni Grill reminded me how long it has been since I've dined in one and what I've been missing in not doing so. This place has some of the freshest and tastiest dishes on this side of pasta! Even the kids meals are quality fare. I ordered the ravioli prepared w butternut squash and ornate cheeses. OMG!!! Melt in your mouth goodness. My husband had the traditional linguine and marinara that he said had enough flavor to make him think he was in Italy. My son's kids ravioli impressed his well developed palate too. Coupled with fresh bread and olive oil, the meal was delicious. Viva la Macaroni Grill!

My group was seated and I feel as though we waiting a long time for everything. I almost felt as if we were inconveniencing the waitress just by physically being there. I got a to go box for my meal. When I got home I decided to finish the meal...there was a roach in it. I did not see it until the end. It was cooked. I was getting sick immediately. I called and they gave me a refund. (Very thankful for that.) DHEC has been called and I do not believe that I will ever go again. That was too much for me. And reading the comments below it appears they have a roach issue. I will be following up with DHEC. I want to see businesses and restaurants do well and I hope they make some major changes.

We were seated quickly but took 15 minutes to order drinks and she took our food order then too. Took 15 minutes again to get the drinks waitress even asked if we were the right table who ordered 2 waters. I got the fattiest porterhouse steak I have ever seen I think the took a meat tenderizor to it it was torn to shreds and over cooked. Wife chicken was so chewy she could not finish it. It was our anniversary we went there cause about 10 years ago we ate there for our anniversary and it was good then. Probably never go back. On a bright note those Brussel sprouts are amazing that alone got the extra star.

My favorite restaurant. Healthy options and the food is absolutely delicious! Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There needs to be more people to greet you and help you find a seat but overall, it's such a great place to have dinner at. Restaurant is beautiful and maybe a little hard to find in the back, but it'll be worth coming here!

VERY VERY HORRIBLE. The portion is VERY LITTLE for the VERY EXPENSIVE PRICE. I could have spent $8, LITERALLY EIGHT DOLLARS at TROPICAL GRILLE and be way more full and satisfied in both PORTION AND FLAVOR. Not to mention, I'd have way more money in my wallet afterward. I'm never coming back to this place or ever recommending it to anyone again.

We always make it a point to stop at this location whenever we are in the area. We love the fact that a new bottle of wine is opened at your table, you only pay for the number of glasses you drink, not the whole bottle. We really miss having the veal parmesan. It is no longer on the menu. Please bring it back. It was to die for on the taste. Overall it is close to the hotels and the food is excellent.

Delicious food, what else can I say! My chicken fettuccini Alfredo was on point, as well as my toffee caramel cake dessert and mac n cheese bites appetizer. Love having the paper on the table and colors, kinda gives us something to entertain ourselves while we wait.

It's been years since I've visited this restaurant. Had an early dinner with a friend and the food was still just as delicious. The butternut squash pasta entree is absolutely delicious. I love butternut squash and it's not often that you see it on a menu prepared to perfection. Great dinner and service from our server Ginger.

It was my Hubby’s first time at any Romano’s, not mine. They did not give us wine glasses for our wine, a bread knife for the loaf or a spoon to twirl my pasta. I did get a piece of birthday cake to take home. The waitress was friendly. I will go to Charlotte next time!

Don’t get takeout from this restaurant until you’re prepared to unpack the entire meal (including entree boxes) so you can tell the staff what they’ve forgotten. On 3 separate occasions, the balsamic glaze was left out of my caprese salad. On another occasion I didn’t even receive my entree in the bag...but fear not. I did receive a random container of oily lettuce so that makes up for it I suppose. And another time my dessert container included about 10 small plastic lids. Yes. Just plastic lids. Steer clear of this place.

Absolutely horrible. Ordered on line to have order ready by 1130am. Got there at 1139. Not one visible person in dining room or cook line. After 4 minutes host showed up and asked if I was here to pick up a togo meal. She made the salad got the lasagna and sat it on a counter, saying nothing to me. After another 5 minutes two servers came out of the back with a mgr and she asked me if I paid on line. They gave me my food which lasagna was cold. I said this is horrible service and no one apologize. The manager completely clueless.

The food is okay but not great. They changed something not sure but it doesn't taste as good as it did a few years ago. The service is good but the food so so. The fish is from frozen and I don't think it's real mahi mahi it's way too thick . If you know your fish it just doesn't add up.

We arrived at 11:15 today and were promptly seated as we had beat the mother's day crowd. We waited almost ten minutes to be greeted by our server but no worries. She was very friendly so we weren't too bothered. We finally ordered and were just enjoying the day. Then we waited and waited and waited and no food. An hour after we ordered I started to become concerned. I'm a server so I cut restaurants and other servers a lot of slack but this was getting ridiculous. The table beside us complained and the manager who said she had just arrived (what?? A manager, the ONLY manager I was told, arriving after noon on mother's day??) and was trying to fix the issues. As the table tried to relay how upset they were she just stated that all the tables were upset. Well ok then! Our server had seemed to disappear by this point as I'm sure she was horrified and who wants to face a bunch if angry tables. But I asked another server if she could send ours over. She was really rude but did have her come over. I explained that we had been there for an hour and forty five minutes, had not received our food and were leaving. She was apologetic and embarrassed. I tipped her $10 anyway since I knew she wasn't going to make any money on one of the biggest days of the year the way this restaurant was being run. We used to be regulars years ago and still made this our mother's day lunch spot. But we will never ever be back after this. My kids and I were extremely upset by the time we left. The manager never came to our table to address anything which to me was the most unnerving thing of all. This restaurant has declined over the years and is being run very poorly now. I predict they won't be in business much longer with very many days like this. It's a shame.

Even though it was not busy it took 45 minutes to get luke warm eggplant parm and Italian sausage build-your-own-posta-bowl. We asked the waitress to heat the meal. A waitress brought the plates back saying numerous times not to touch the plates because they were hot - too bad the food was colder than before. We asked for a manager but never saw him. Several other people complained about their meal.

I can't tell you how disappointed we were in this place last night. Well I'm about to try. We had 10 people going for mine and my daughters birthday. We had a 7:00 reservation. When we arrived at 6:45 I was told we were going to have a wait, I said I understood because we were early. I then asked or do you mean we'll have a long wait after 7 and she yes probably 20 minutes. We waited, and waited, and waited until I finally went back up and asked when we were going to be seated. She said they were waiting for a group to get up that had been there since 4:30. 3 hours can you believe it? After watching for quite some time, it was a group of 40 and they hadn't even been given their check! And here we were mad that people were being so inconsiderate knowing there are people waiting. At this point I've called next door to see what their wait time was in case we decided to walk out. A few in our group had gone to the bar and discovered the bar tender couldn't keep up, she was in tears and one of her tables wouldn't even talk to her. We also found out the company sent 3 of their mangers to a training and left only one there. Why on earth would you do this on a holiday weekend? Evidently they were also short staffed in the kitchen and the bus boy didn't show up. Servers were overheard complaining that they were losing out on tips and customers were walking out due to the wait. I know a group of 23 that had also made a reservation walked out as well. However, I guess they did it in an ap, not directly with the restaurant. After being seated I will say our server was terrific! She immediately brought our granddaughters food out and ours came shortly after. Having said that, some of the food was good some was mediocre. This is not the Romano's I remember and can't say we'll be back.

Tiramisu was luxuriously delicious, even if the presentation may suggest differenty. I had the Mama's Trio dish (chicken parmesan, lasagna, and fettuccine Alfredo), which was average, but apparently the seafood is delicious. They cook all food with the right amount of seasoning.

We went at noon on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was almost empty. Waited a while to be seated because no one was at the door. They asked if we needed kids menus and said they'll bring them later. After we were seated and got drinks I asked again for the kids menus (had 4 kids) and the waiter went away for 5 minutes to come say the manager said they didn't have any, but that he knew what was on the menu. While he was gone I searched for the kids menu online, so the kids knew what to order before he came back. Bathrooms were clean, but they were red and black like they belong in a different restaurant. I have been to several other locations and have never seen a bathroom like that at a Macaroni Grill. They had a big fan on the sink. They also had a big fan in the restaurant area. Spinach and artichoke dip, was very very watery. Also a couple of the pasta dishes the creamy sauces tasted and looked very watered down, not the quality of food we've experienced at other locations. Service was good and the restaurant was clean, but very disappointed on the food quality.

Honestly, not too good. Out of a party of nine, one got the wrong meal, one couldn't eat his, the meatballs on a sub where burnt, and a third person left well over half of his meal, being too polite to say why. The wrong meal was replaced with the correct meal, but some chicken pieces where hard, some where only just cooked. The other six in the party had no issues. The ones that did have issues had their bills adjusted. Would I go again, probably not.

Romano's has a nice wine selection and decent atmosphere when it comes to a nice Italian dinner. The meals are typically nicely cooked and dressed well with sauce. I had this last time scrimp scampi with a nice New Zealand white wine which I haven't had in a long time, they were both delicious! I think this place is a nice quiet local to have a quieter family dinner and I prefer it to Olive Garden simply for that reason, the seating is more separated and discrete which allows for more conversation and being able to hear those across the table from you. I'd go to this location again and would recommend it for a nice family dinner or dinner for two.

I had the shrimp scampi it was very good. The service was great and the restaurant had a clean feel and appearance and j could really relax while enjoying my meal. I definitely recommend this place. It is a little pricey, but it's definitely worth.

There was a problem with the wait staff. It took 45 minutes to just order our drinks. Even longer to get our meal. I ordered the Lamb Shank an it was mostly fat. They had roasted potatoes but no mashed potatoes. ?????? This is a poor management problem. The staff were doing the best they could.

It’s not worth eating here because you don’t get what you pay for. I had the truffle Mac and cheese and was shocked how little bit they gave me for $15! It was such a thin layer of pasta on the dish that they served it on. I could barely taste the truffle oil too. Nothing truffle about it...just a Mac and cheese I can make at home 5 times the amount. Never going there ever again because it’s a waste of money and I wasn’t satisfied by their little portions. I was even thinking about ordering another dish because I was still hungry but it’s too expensive. Rip off...

Service was non existant we had a party of 7 celebrating my daughters birthday. We were one of maybe 5 tables. The waitress was slow taking the order and barely came back to check on us we had to ask for refills. Food was just ok not up to the standards I expect from this price level of restaurant. This used to be one of my very favorite chain restuarant, so I was super excited when the gang wanted to come here. We went at lunch time and were seated right away. The waitress was kind but scarse. There are lunch portions of alot of the dinner menus and plenty of choices. The prices are reasonable for a better food choice. I did not get everything I ordered, the waitress wasn't bothered by it, guess it only affected me!

We love Macaroni Grill! The first time the host said it would be a 20 minute wait and we were seated in 5 minutes which was opposite of what most restaurants do. Just last night we had a question and the service manager came out and made it right for us. Ginger was an awesome server with patience and willingness to make our experience pleasant. Cierra did what most managers wouldn’t do just to make sure we had the best experience possible. This is why we have made Macaroni Grill our new go to date spot!!!

I had the Parmesan crusted Sole last night and WOW wasn’t it phenomenal along with the fresh corn chowder soup. The manager Amy was awesome in making sure our dining experience was top notch. Our server was JD and I highly recommend him. The restaurant is under new management and it definitely shows. Romano’s Macaroni Grill is becoming a must go again.

Was here at lunchtime, very few people here on a Thursday. Employees are friendly. The meal came hot and ready to eat. I had meatballs, spaghetti and hot tea. The restaurant was clean as well as the rest rooms. There are plenty of drink options and checkout was quick and painless, enjoy!!!

When we walked in it felt like the heat was on and it was 97 degrees outside our waitress who also seated us was siting down and on her phone when we walked up to the hostess booth, she was so slow and never brought us a refill which with it being so hot in there was ridiculous, finally she took 10 mins just to bring me my credit card back for my check and I was seat right by the pay station will come back for what they charge for the food you expect much better service!!

Our waitress should not be working there. She "lost our order", had to come back three times to get our order, our entre sat on the warmer and the cheese was limp. After one hour we finally got our meal. Then one of the ladies that was with us never received her drink. To make matters worse, our bill was so mixed up, another waitress had to help her get it straightened out.

Evacuated from Darian from Charleston and found this fabulous place. We thought it was going to be like Carrabas or Olive Garden but WOW! This is many steps up! We were tired and hungry and came in late and Ramiro, our server smiled and was super pleasant. Now the food...THE FOOD WAS FABULOUS! Every bit worth the $. My husband, our daughter, my mother (who is very particular), and I enjoyed our meals. Oh ya, and the Prima Margarita was FABULOUS! I really needed that after the long drive! How can we get this restaurant in Charleston ? Oh, and we'd like Ramiro to be our waiter there too. ;-) Thank you! We will probably be back when we have to evacuate from a hurricane!

My wife and I won two gift cards to Macaroni Grill at an office Christmas party back in December and tried it out the week after Christmas. We were not impressed at the time with neither the service or the food. Finally, after about 6 month we decided to try it out again and use the other gift card. There was hardly anyone there at 7pm on a Friday (should have been a red flag). This time the service was okay - we were seated relatively promptly and the waitress was pretty attentive to our table. But the resteraunt was clearly overstaffed as a group of waiters/waitresses just kind of stood over in a corner giggling (but hey, I get it, sometimes it's just really slow). The food however was less to be desired - our appetizer was tiny (six tiny little mushroom for $10) which we thought might be better than the handful of calamari we had last time. My wife only had 4 shrimp on her salad, my steak was burnt to a crisp despite ordering it medium (also seemed more like a 6oz not a 10oz), and I had about 6 potato bites. The shrimp I also had to order because the food was so skimpy was $11 for 4 of them (although very delicious). I know this may be more of a corporate issue, but overall the quality and (mostly) quantity of the food is NOT EVEN CLOSE to being worth the cost. And no, neither my wife or I are obese, buffet eating regulars. We will not be back to Macaroni Grill (unless we win another office party gift card).

Roach runs across half wall on my left. Don’t mention it my wife. Still no appetizer. Food is bad. Bland. Probably reheated. Waitress returns asks if we received appetizer. No. Proceeds to tell us she has been there for nine hours only served two tables. Been dead for three days. Leaves to check on appetizer. Roach returns. Thump it away. Wife asks what was that. Beetle. I say. Waitress returns with appetizer after we finish meal. We never see her again. After we finish appetizer we wait 40 minutes for someone to bring check. 70 dollars for a 1 star meal. No manager to talk to about experience. 10 years ago this place was amazing. Its on its last leg and it shows.

Where do I start? First of all my husband and I got here a lil after 8:30 No one was waiting in line, we stood there for about 10 minutes when another couple came in and was approached by someone that greeted them and sat them. Then after 2 more minutes we were seated. Our waiter came by put some pepper in a plate and gave us a glass of water and disappeared. We waited for 30 minutes with no service. NONE! Three separate couples came and were seated and was served. We didn't even get bread. The worst customer service I ever experience. Needless to say we got up and left, our waiter saw us on the way out and walked right pass us. So we went next door to California Dreaming. Juan was our waiter, he's is the best. I will NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE!

This is one of my all time favorite cozy, romantic places to eat with my husband! The Lobster ravioli and pizza is incredible not to mention the strawberry shortcake and Spaghetti!! Best servers EVER!!! So attentive but not hovering! Love them! Thank you again for full bellies from delicious food!!

The atmosphere here is very peaceful! The service is great; very prompt, kind, and is around everytime you need them. The restaurant itself is always clean and the food is always great! I hope you go and enjoy a meal here, it's definitely worth a try!
