The food is delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful, you can feel positive vibes the moment you enter inside. The restaurant staff are friendly and always smiling. Expect small wait that's only because this guys are just too good on what they doing. keep it up. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants Indian food.

What an amazing evening! Outstanding food and even more outstanding service! Our hostesses Siri and Christina went out of their way to make our group of 10 feel so special. From clicking group pics to always being available to add to our requests to a detailed explanation of every individual exotic dish - they were absolutely perfect and well coordinated ! And then throwing in the complimentary desert completed a great experience! If you want an opportunity to do Indian food with an unexpected twist and an incredible experience, head to masala and ask for Siri or Christina to manage the evening!

Great Location. Very near to popular resorts and Myrtle Beach. Free Parking. Food was okie ( Taking about What I ordered). Ambience is great that might be a plus point but taste of food was not so good. Also noticed some uncleanliness where I was dining. Like spider webs and so. Service was fast. Great collection of drinks as well. No free Wifi. Friendly staff.

Date of Visit: Friday, 09/13/2019 Guys, It was a shockingly pleasant surprise and wow , what a food the Chef ‍ made a totally customizeduyyyy fare. We stepped in to this restaurant with a little hesitation for its relatively low key appearance from outside, tucked up at the end of a walmart plaza, but the moment we stepped in the whiff of aroma gave us a hint of what's about to come. The ambience is so great and is one of its kind. Just as a part of casual chit chat with fellow diners to seek their inputs on the quality of food they had, they had nothing but praise the the food they were having. We (3 of us ) ordered Pakora, Gobi Manchuria - spicy and ordered Samosa Chat also..Lo, here we have the most satisfying , mouth watering YUMMY food we ever h. ad. My friend ordered a repeat of Samosa chat - it was so good. For the main course I ordered Shrimp Kadai Masala, Mughlai Chicken Korma and Lamb Kashmiri - and trust me, - an avid traveller and foodie, who had tasted the food at various restaurants across USA - I would probably rate this at a high of my TOP 3 best indian foods I have ever tasted. The chef takes utmost care and attention to the detail and the items are let cook taking their own time and not rushed with flash cooking with premade sauces I believe. Everything takes the natural cooking time and hence the orders just do not keep coming flying. Have patience and allow the chef, the time and you'll be all set for your culinary orgasm. The chefs wife explained that it was a curry night for a huge British group of 25 and orders will take time. Wait staff are so polite and so affable and they oblige every request with a heart warming smile, which makes your dining experience even more pleasurable. I strongly recommend all the food lovers to experience this amazing food. Take away from the experience - NEVER JUDGE THE BOOK BY ITS COVER I feel very sad that I don't live in Myrtle beach and being a resident of Dallas TX, I wish we had this hidden jewel in Dallas too.

The food is amazing. Feels like home . The extra spicy choice was bit of mistake, it was really max spicy. But we managed it. The menu is complete, was everything on the menu which I wished to eat. Paneer was tasty and serves two. Chicken Biryani serves only one person with good appetite. Chicken chilly won the competition. Would recommend for all.

We are amazed and thankful that Myrtle Beach has such world class Indian food. We will certainly be back for more. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine.

The lunch buffet was very good at a reasonable price. Authentic Indian spice. Wish they had a little more variety for the buffet. Mostly chicken dishes. Bread was freshly served and delicious. Next time I will probably try something from their full menu.

Don't be put off by the fact that it is in a run down shopping plaza and the windows are dark. It is very clean and quiet inside. A great place for a date with your husband when you want food with amazing savory flavor. You can't go wrong with butter chicken or mahkani sauce on your meat. Try the mango mousse! There is also a buffet on certain days.

We really like the food and service at Masala. My wife and I are vegans and with my gluten sensitivity their vegetarian menu offers a lot of delicious options. One thing I like the most is their spices leave a wonderful aftertaste that lasts long after the meal is done.

I have eaten at Indian restaurants all over the world including India. This was the best. I am very allergic to MSG and always have to ask. I called and a very polite lady answered . She not only knew what it was, but also explained that they do not use it except in 2 Chinese/Indian dishes. The other place I had called had no idea from his answers and was difficult to understand. From the time we called and entered this place, everyone was warm and accommodating. The food was wonderful at the lunch buffet. The salad was simple. I will be returning to this establishment when I am in the area and would highly recommend to everyone .

I went with a friend to the restaurant at 4:45 and we had an incredible dinner there! The food is just outstanding. We followed the advice of the waitress as we wanted a variety of starters and mains . We started with drinks from the bar , and they are just incredible. We followed on with some very nice starters and mains and shared a desert . Everything was just incredible. I can only recommend to the beach traveler with a refined taste to go there and try it out. great food and service we visited last night along with my brother ,they welcomed very warm and friendly even though there were tons of takeout's going on the front station and was busy with lots of tables . no doubt bcz the food is great that why a lots of takeout's. haha i do remember my brother told me good choice bcz of lots of takeout's he said will be better food. We waited at bar and had few drinks before getting a table. then we ordered ghost shahi korma , was great , not spicy but had great flavor. . and some lamb vindaloo,butter chicken and garlic nan and spicy nan . and our waitress was soo good to explaining us and they took care us great... After writing this review I'm going for lunch at masala before we leave...

Last week we had a chance to be in Masala restaurant in south Carolina. We tried a few dishes of vegetarian and non vegetarian. Out of that tandoori chicken was so delicious. We recommend this restaurant for all.and we wish to visit again ... Thx to the chef who made this.

I loved eating at this place. The atmosphere is great because of the decoration of the eating area and the music. When you enter, you're immediately hit with the smells of spices. The food is amazing. You can order a variety of dishes to share among your group. Some of my favorite appetizers were the Veggie Samosa and the Gobi Manchurian. Some main course dishes I would definitely recommend are the Butter Chicken, Tandoori Mix platter, Chicken Hyderabadi. Also! Don't go and eat without the naan, I recommend eating the Garlic Naan. :> I haven't tried many of the drinks but I really loved the mango cosmo, it's a pretty, light yellow drink made with vodka triplesec n mango pulp

Great authentic Indian food. Very nice atmosphere. A real asset to the local scene. The tradituonal Indian dishes are hot. If you order them with zero heat, they are still hotter than the hottest thing you can get at Taco Bell. So if you can't stand the heat, order something that is not hot by definition. And when they ask if you want medium heat, they mean Indian hot, not American hot.

Rustic, Elegant and classic three words to describe this restaurant. Newly opened at new location is much better than what they had before. We visit myrtle beach very frequently and regulars of masala for few years. We were disappointed when they were closed for 6 months in the process of building new restaurant. But , I think its worth the wait. As usual food was great and wait staff was attentive. Only one suggestion to the owners - " you guys need to do lots of advertising so that it will payoff all the efforts you guys put in to build a beautiful place".

Very good authentic food, not the sweeter version of Indian food like any other Indian restaurant. It’s definitely a place to go if you crave for Indian food during your vacation or like to taste the real Indian flavors. If you ask any dish spicy it’s really spicy suitable for Indian palate, so please make your choice as needed. And the girls who served us are awesome, very nice and friendly!!! Keep it up.

We like Marsala and have been going there for a few years now. The best Indian Restaurant in the Grand Strand area. Their lunch buffet is always fresh and delicious. They have 4 veggie entree choices on the buffet along with the chicken ones. They use to bring naan to your table when you arrived but now it is on the buffet, so it is not quite as crunchy, but good. I took off a star because they close promptly at 2pm. I wish they served until 2:30.

Me and my wife went to this restaurant on our wedding anniversary. Trust me, we both got really surprised with very high qulaity food. We ordered Malai Kofta and Mughalai Chicken korma, both were perfectly cooked. The curries had a nice texture and aroma. Tandoori wings quality is good and tasty , not greasy at all and naan was excellent. And finally thanks for the excellent service and chef came and apoke to us about the food, which i felt really warmth. I would love to revisit again.

Sublime! Masala was such a fabulous experience that I would give it an additional star if I could! The decor, service and presentation was fabulous. The pairing of different flavors was outstanding. This is not the greasy, cream laden food that has become synonymous with Indian cuisine. This is as authentic as it gets, its the best Indian dining experience I've had in the US. The drink selection was good, we had the Duckhorn Cabernet which was rightly priced . Some of my favorite dishes were Triple M, Pineapple Chicken, Lamb Gustaba (which was melt-in-your-mouth), cheese Naan. We did eat some familiar dishes such as Seekh Kebab, Lamb vindaloo, Goat biryani (highly recommended) and Garlic Naan which were fantastic, however my recommendation is to not go for the familiar but try the exquisite pairing (fusion) of different foods instead. You will not be disappointed. Clearly one can see the passion and thought that has gone into creating this restaurant, a true labor of love. Wait staff mentioned that chef is the owner. No doubt ,The chef/Owner has not succumbed to cutting corners and settle for the safe and familiar, rather he has been bold to not compromise on the spice, flavor and texture. Masala has spoilt it for the other Indian restaurants, because once you've eaten here, you will keep coming back for more. P.S.- Our Family of 6 traveled from Charleston as we had heard rave reviews and it was absolutely worth it.

This is our second visit to this restaurant and we love the food in here. Ambiance, service, food everything is so good. Especially tandoor platters, you don’t want to miss it. Prices are sooo reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants. A must try. We will visit again.

Firstly the outside of the location does not give the slightest clue to the inside of this well designed restaurant . We came in and was sat very quickly! Our appetizers was served quickly and freshly cooked to perfection. Every spice is tasted. Two courses was ordered Shrimp by my wife and I the Lamb . I was truly surprised at the tenderness of the lamb and how flavorful the sauce was. I’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants but none have given this level of food quality. 5 Stars is earned and deserved.

Waitress recommended biryani on first visit and it was so good and consistent , I ordered it all 3 days. This place deserves full rating!!!Came in on a busy night but we were still seated right away. The wait staff there was attentive, yet not pushy. Our waiterress was well-informed on the menu items, which was helpful. The atmosphere was calm and the decor was beautiful. If you are in Myrtle / visiting Myrtle , this place should be on your cards. Even though the portion size and ambiance has mix of Indian and Western hints, you do get the authentic north Indian flavor in the food..I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely come back given the opportunity!

We absolutely loved eating here! We are from out of town and were just looking for a nice bite to eat that was different from what we can get at home. Man were we pleased. The service was great and the food was even better! The way everything was set up was very intimate and relaxing to sit down and enjoy our meal. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it was actually really pretty inside- clean and nicely decorated. The lunch buffet is small, but the food is authentic and absolutely delicious! Reasonable price-12.99 for the lunch buffet. We would definitely go back

Although we had to wait for a table for 10 min, the wait was pleasant, at the bar with drinks. Atmosphere and decor are great, staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is amazing and perfect for sharing. The best Indian I ever had, we were both delighted. For a plus, they have a good selection of Indian beers on offer. Highly recommended.

We went here to celebrate a birthday dinner with a family of 4 and this restaurant with new location is outstanding! The food is really high quality and presentation and service were off the charts. I would normally expect to pay double when compared to many restaurants - well worth the price. The lamb chops and paneer were delicious. Try the mango cosmo cocktail, It is outstanding felt like I’m in Hawaii Great place for authentic Indian food with attentive staff. The owner/chef even came out and wished us happy birthday!

2nd visit to myrtle beach and after 1 day of my visit, cravings for Indian food started .. During Last visit we ate at Masala chai , but they were closed on Tuesday so after lots of debate visited Masala bistro......Fantastic food and hands down the friendliest staff out of any indian place we've ever been. Very Skeptical about trying cocktails but my waitress made an amazing long island ice tea.

Could have been 5stars .. hope the owner gets this message.. we wanted to go at this place over other Indian restaurants in the area. We made a call around 8:40 and should have reached the place around 850ish, after confirming the availability at the restaurant THEY CALLED US BACK AS THEY WILL BE SUDDENLY CLOSING EARLY TODAY AS THEY WILL HAVE SOME CLEANING COMPANY COMING.... Lost a business, we went to Nirvana and had a great dinner.

Visited on a busy Sunday and waited 15-20 minutes for table...we were so tired and hungry but once seated we got fast service and got to enjoy great food with cocktails. Definitely a high end restaurant with decent service

I lived in Boulder Colorado for twenty years and Indian food there is a much more well received and appreciated- thus there are many very good establishments. Masala is as good as any Indian I have ever eaten.The korma and tikka masala are absolutely amazing!! Not to mention the very friendly family who own and operate Masala. Do not miss!! Truly a Myrtle Beach hidden treasure!!

If you got from 11am to 2pm, it is "all you can eat" indian buffet for $15. If you are an indian food lover, that's where you should go, very spicy, friendly staff. However the ambiance is not the best, dark place, buffet doesn't have many varieties, and table service and waiters don't serve you often. In the evening it is ordering from menu.
