Excellent location, quick to get into, food takes a bit of time as it is freshly prepared. Service is efficient and friendly. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. It's a great location to get a nice sit down lunch. If take out, call ahead.

The food is very good. The portions are well beyond what I could eat in one sitting. The house salad dressing is great. I wish it was bottled. The staff was very pleasant.

Delicious Italian food and great service. We had the fettuccine primavera and anchovy pizza and it was very good. Madison, our server, was very sweet and accommodating. She made our visit awesome!

I’ve been here twice. First time was awesome. Went back a month or so later and it wasn’t the same experience at all. Pasta hadn’t been drained, the sauce was off, and the chicken tough. I’ll give them another chance in a while and hope for the best.

Pasta was al dente, and the sauce was fresh and delicious. Their bread is also really good! The tiramisu was ok, but much better than other places I’ve tried around here. The service was also very friendly and efficient. Overall, I highly recommend you check them out!

The fettuccini sauce needed more seasoning, it was pretty bland, the garlic bread with cheese was very good, and the salad was small but decent. I will give them another try.

We went on a Wednesday evening. It was relatively quiet inside and not very busy. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our food came quickly and was excellent quality. The only improvement I could say would be a slightly larger portion, but I'm a glutton. Excellent experience, will come back

By far one of the worst experiences of going out to eat. Half of my party arrived and got seated. They were told that when everyone else arrived they would "figure it out". Judy the manager is the one who told them this. Once the rest of us arrived there was no way to fit us all where we were originally sat. Judy wanted to seperate the party. When myself and others tried to give a solution she snapped at us and told us to let her do her job. Judy is not a very pleasant person. Our server had to many tables and was not able give us the proper attention. Our food did not get rung in till almost 20 mins after it was taken. My father was beyond aggravated and didnt even order or eat anything. Half of us are from out of town so luckily we will not have to deal with the lack of customer service, rude management, and poor quality food.

I sincerely wish I could give this place a zero star review. The only reason it got a star was because i had to give it something. For starters, we walked in, ordered drinks, and the waitress spilled one of our drinks on us. I then ordered a side salad for an appetizer. The salad consisted of romaine lettuce and kale and some shredded carrots. I got some ends of some onion and maybe a teaspoon of ranch dressing. The whole salad was $7 and it was a pathetic excuse for a salad. A $7 salad should consist of more than a pile of lettuce and some shredded carrots. Then our dinner came. One of our pizzas were burnt and the grease was literally falling off of it. We spoke with the owner and she only offered to get us another one. Why would we want another when we were unsatisfied with what we had to begin with?!? Insane. It was only after we insisted we were not paying the whole amount that she offered to take half off. She was not very nice at all. The only positive thing about the whole night was our waitress. Besides spilling the drink, she was very nice.

Stopped here for lunch on a road trip. My hubby got chicken parmesan and I got linguini with mussels and red sauce. Everything was overcooked. The mussels were gummy, the chicken was dry, even the box pasta was overdone. The red sauce tasted slightly burned and greasy, and even the basil chiffonade on top was wilted, bruised, and unappetizing. I wish we'd gone to Olive Garden instead, and we tried this place because Olive Garden is so mediocre.

Food and atmosphere was nice. However pricing was a bit odd. Six dollars ($6) to add about a third of a pound of boiled chicken to alfredo was a bit crazy. Fortunately for the restaurant it was Valentine's so I didn't take the blow to heart that bad. Pizza was really good, although the crust could be a tad bit thicker to support the great toppings provided.

The original owner and Chef Rosario Pugliese died several years ago in Italy. The people that took this Restaurant over still use his name. But, the food is nothing like it was when Rosario was alive.

This is the best Italian food in Upstate S.C. The food here has always been amazing through all the years I've eaten here and the staff are as nice as the food. They love to make conversation as they serve you your fresh food which, may I add, is some of the best I've ever had. For example, their bread? Served hot and the best. And their salad with house dressing? Oh, it is the best. From seafood to pasta and pizza, this restaurant is one of the top in Spartanburg and is pretty underappreciated if you ask me. Eat here... You will NOT regret it!

Went to La Taverna and was treated like dirt. The food was flavorless and we didn’t eat the food and was still charged then the manager took $15 off of food we didn’t eat. Soraya Valenzuela (manager) even told us not to ever come back. Food was nasty as heck and everyone who knows me know I will never blast a company but I must this time! I asked for the person about hers number to talk about my experience and she gave me her personal number and had a man pick up the phone to act like he was the owner!

Absolutely awful! I wish I could give it a zero! Rude hostess....said they were closed because of " no power' but the power was on with 2 hours to go. We called on our way from out of town for reservations which they didn't take and weren't told that 30 minutes out. We asked to see the manager, to which the hostess refused. She then yelled at us. Seriously! What gives her that right. Folks next time take your cell phone so you can post the amazing service that could be possible here. What you doing here? Run a proper restaurant with the right staff or close it down! Your customers deserve better and so does your brand. I will never eat at any one of your restaurants again. From the comments I've read, I'm not alone.

My veal was fatty. Veal cutlets shouldn't have fat. There was no crab meat on top of the dish so i pointed this out and the waiter said they mix it in with the sauce. I call B.S.

I have never been a fan of Italian food but after being brought here by my girlfriend twice I can definitely say that if I want Italian food this is the place to go. Better than Olive Garden.

Today is Mother's day.. The restaurant was not crowded, but for some reason the waitress did not serve us did even ask if we wanted water... We left, never will I ask for some restaurant to serve me.. The waitress served everyone else... No good

I know everyone doesn't like seafood but my plate, with clams, shrimp, scallops, and a lobster tail with home made marinara, was absolutely beyond delicious! Home made cross between French and sourdough bread and a homemade Maple cheesecake slice made from heaven. Don't waste your time standing in line at the chain Italian restaurant in town. Walk right on in to a quiet relaxed atmosphere, sit and eat a feast! Chicken, seafood, veal, pasta! All homemade from handed down recipes! I cannot say enough about La Taverna! It's a wonderful restaurant!
