Food was very average and seemed like it didn’t have any taste, flavor or seasoning at all on the chicken tender meals. Mac n Cheese looks better than it taste, but the people there are cool and all. I’d compare the food to up scale cafeteria food. The price wasn’t bad either. Not coming back here due to the lack of flavor in the foods

We had a great time at K and W Cafeterias. The food was good and appropriately priced, and the service was great too. I'm disabled and carrying my tray to the table would have been difficult, and they already rang a bell to have a member of the service team carry my tray to the table. That level of service will have me returning.

Simply amazing! K&W has a very friendly and helpful staff. everything on the buffet from one end all the way to the other was cooked to perfection. Mouth watering entre's, sides, and desserts fill the buffet line and dont forget the soft dinner rolls and there delicious sweet tea to wash it all down with.

I had the Roast beef and it was so tough that I couldn't cut it with a knife. The woman serving it was very rude. My server took it back and brought me ham instead. Not only was the ham $1 cheaper but I got 2 paper thin slices. I would not reccomend this place to anyone. The best part of my experience there was the server I had. She was great.

Our family stopped at this K&W location during our vacation to Myrtle Beach. The a la carte line was confusing with staff that told us how they had a combo meal for a certain price and a kids combo for a certain price. We followed the guidelines but then when our receipt was printed it was not as they said it would be. The food was not great. Meatloaf was not done, chicken was super greasy, other food just lacked flavor. Staff in dining room was very helpful and friendly.

It's quick, the food is good and servers are very attentive. Only downside is they only have 1 checkout area so if a customer has an issue with their bill (as happened on the day I went) you could stuck behind someone waiting to check out for awhile (which I did)

Sweet tea was amazing best I ever had. It was listed under buffets online and it is not at all a buffet. Salad wasnt good like it sat for awhile and baked spaghetti wasn't very good. But everyone was super nice.

The staff there is wonderful! The food is always on point. They even have good deals and promotions. The restaurant its self could use a make over, it's slightly outdated feeling inside. But otherwise a great place to eat. I break for lunch here about 4 days a week.

Food is delicious always but the girl in the "ToGo" part is very impatient and never smiles. My father is 93 years old and has been going in the south kings hwy location in Myrtle Beach for 30 years. He has a routine where he likes to look over everything before he makes up his mind. That girl in there is so impatient with him acting as if she's in a hurry but there will be no one else in line and she acts like that. I don't like her!!!!!!

I had the liver and onions. The server wouldn’t give me the couple pieces left in the pan because they were over cooked. The two pieces I got were perfect. The dinner roll was not warm and a bit hard but the mashed potatoes and green beans were good. The staff is very friendly and they have a great selection. I’ll definitely go back.

9/2018~~Stayed one night in MB a few days before Hurricane Florence. Always always always have to eat at the K&W! Been eating there since the 1950s when my family lived in Greensboro, NC. Great portions, love the iced tea, pies, salads and veggies. Yummy yam souffle. Mondays and Saturdays there is a special for now. Any entree, 2 veggies, drink and dessert for 2 for $17.99. K&Ws could use updating esp on the outside. Nothing expensive maybe nice landscaping, flower pots and more. But go for the food and it is still family owned. Enjoy!!

I'm giving it 5 stars but one night when I was eating dinner the girl walked over to me and said you know we work for tips you know and I says I don't have to have you tell me that you work for tips I already know that but since you asked me for a tip I'm not going to leave you one you don't do that I love the food the food's great they have a good selection chicken roast beef Saint Patty's Day they had corned beef and cabbage all kinds of pies milk tea ginger ale whatever but when someone tells me that I have to tip them that turns me off and they need to tell the employees not to ask for tips because when someone ask me for something like that I get a bad taste in my mouth and it also upsets me because some nights when I come in I just have enough money to get a meal I'm lucky to have a little money to go out to eat sometimes I don't have money to tip so as far as the waiters and waitresses I'm sorry if I don't tip you it's not because you didn't do too good service it's because I just have enough to eat and I go what to eat over tipping you the waiter so I can pay for my meal if you don't understand that it's too Bad The atmosphere is nice except for the waitress asking for a tip they play music not too loud just right and when you get done do you pay your bill and you can tip them if you want to or not but not if they ask it's very rude

K&W has been here since the seventies! Not far from mbafb we went here every friday for lunch! Steamship round was 1.60! They carved it right in front of you! Full meal with dessert cost you less than 5 dollars! Miss those days!

Whenever I come to Myrtle Beach, I have to visit this restaurant at least once. It is a unique dining experience reminiscent of the school cafeteria days, but with extra yummy food. Southern cooking. Friendly staff. Choose from salads, entree, sides, bread, dessert, drink. As much or as little as you want. Dont miss out!

K&W is a good cafeteria with a few exceptions. It is a clean restaurant. The presentation of their food is attractive and I enjoyed some of their dishes like fish and their pies. The slaw I had was nothing but cabbage, no seasonings or mayo; some of the vegetables are not seasoned and the chocolate cake is very dry. Of course, this is just my opinion.

K&W will always be one of my favorite restaurants. You just can't beat the quality of food at such a low cost. Their variety of southern home-cooked food should be enough to appeal to nearly anyone. I usually leave with a full belly and a bill under $10. Including desert.

Tried this location as the closer one to us has been closed for a year. We were very disappointed when we found that out. Everything was great until the end. We got a pudding for our child, which we tasted first and it was spoiled and sour like it had been sitting out for a while--I was disappointed in that as it was my first time experiencing this location and we received bad food. However, the other food we had was fine. Our server was excellent! She filled our teas when they were only half full and was very attentive to our needs. We wanted to give her a nice tip, but was not able to due to the fact we did not have cash on us. The lady at the pay desk was not very friendly, just "matter of fact" and then told us its cash on the table only after she swiped my card. They did not have a place to put a tip on the credit card slip which is very odd for the year 2019. The lady at the desk could care less, she did not say sorry or anything. This is a horrible disservice to the waiters and waitresses at K&W because not everyone keeps cash on them anymore. So this wonderful woman who waited on us with 100% top notch service, didn't get the tip she deserved. I will not be returning to this location again, unfortunately.

The last time I was here I had a awful fried chicken which was swimming in grease and a serious mold problem in the ventilation, but since then they have purged the cafeteria of the mold issue. I arrived here around 5:20pm and was out of line and eating by 5:30pm so starting out with a 10 minute wait in line is nothing to sneeze at. The lovely staff were polite, sweet and kind. And with always asking if you need a refill or if you were enjoying your meal they are exactly what a cafeteria worker should aim to be Being a cafeteria means you ask for what you want and head out to get seated One of the things I had asked for is what ended up being the highlight of my meal, the chicken & dumpling stew and it was slightly thick and quite creamy with tasty dumplings and chicken that melted in my mouth; in reality it was nothing short of amazing and with an exquisite flavor In short: This particular K&W Cafeteria is one of the better locations I have visited. With lovely music, a quiet atmosphere and pleasant staff this K&W is a memorable place to be sure.

We've been coming to K&W since the 70's! The baked spaghetti is awesome! Good hush puppies, mashed potatoes, corn bread and their desserts are too die for. Sweet tea is also not too sweet which is the way I like it. The picture sums up how good the food is! Insider tip, they have a $4 kids meal that is the best bargain in MB.

The manager on August 15, 2019 I went to this K&W Location I got there about 7:55. Yes I know that they where to be closing at 8pm. But it wasn't 8pm yet. The manager told me that they where closed. And rushed me out the door. I will never go back to this K&W every again. I've been in retail and restaurant work all my life. And the customers are who we are to please. And we always try to believe and make them happy.
