Kiki’s Chicken and Waffles is the best. Their food thus far has not disappointed. The long wait times is so worth it. It’s like having the best alternative from grandmas cooking that you grow up and love. If anyone is in the area, it is a must that you dine here. Anytime I’m in Columbia, they are always on the list to eat.

Couldn't decide on which vegetables so I just ordered a veggie plate. Everything was delicious. Both the classic and red velvet waffles were amazing. The chicken was well seasoned. The music was great. The waitress was great. Wonderful atmosphere. We will definitely return.

One of the best Southern food establishments in South Carolina. Everything is done fresh and to order. Something you don’t always see in places that serve a lot of fried food, this place is exemplary. Great ribs too! If you have a single dinner in Columbia, this is the place you should go to.

My mom and I went to this restaurant today. We had an excellent experience. We had the most professional, polite, and fast service. The waitress name was Karley. She was fantastic. She made our experience one to remember. We will definitely be back and hopefully she will be there again. I hope her manager give her promotion. Kudos to Karley !!!!!!!!!!

This was our first time here. This place has potential, maybe it was just an off night. Our food came out as if it has been sitting all day. The mac and cheese was so old, the cheese was hard and some of the noodles were crunchy. The fries were rubbery. The fish was not fresh. On the other hand, my wife's grilled pork chops were tender and flavorful, and she said the collard greens were amazing. So, there is some potential there. We look forward to the new location and will give it another try.

Their food and service was wonderful. I have never had shrimp and grits the way I got them here and they were great. I got so much I had to take half home with me. Absolutely no complaints. They can get real busy real fast though.

Just tried it this weekend after a friend recommended it to me. I am so glad i went. I had the wings with collard greens and sweet potato souffle. Absoluetly delicious. Ive told several other people about it. Wish there was 1 near where i live in Georgia.

Got the bbq chicken with eggs and rice and gravy. Was served baked chicken which was wrong order and was just ok. Eggs were great. Rice was not cooked all the way.

Service was absolutely horrible. Waitstaff brought out partial order. Walked by twice without acknowledging the fact that we were still waiting on our food. We watched people who came after us eat the same food we ordered. Can't comment on food because we never ate. Extremely disappointed!

I always order the soul food plate. I believe it comes with 3-4 wings and 2 sides along with cornbread. I tend to get macaroni and collars with an extra side of fried okra (don't judge me). The food truck also comes out to my job but of course the menu doesn't have a wide variety but you still get what you pay for.

The food was so delicious. And the service was outstanding. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. The smell of food hits you as soon as you walk in. The server and supervisors came frequently to refill and have a nice conversation while the order was being prepared. The chicken and waffles were definitely my favorite dish. So much that my friend and I both ordered a 2nd waffle for all the chicken we had left. We appreciate the amazing hospitality, we felt very welcomed. Thank you Nicholas and Carly for an amazing experience I'll never forget at Kiki's chicken & waffles.

I decided to try the restaurant last week. I had only heard good things about it. I got there after lunch time so they didn't seem busy. When I walked in, no one came up to seat me or ask me if I needed anything. I kept making eye contact with people but no one would assist me. Finally someone saw me and asked if I needed anything and I told her that I had a call in order. She said okay, but that was it so I went to sit on the bench and wait. I waited for probably about 20 minutes. After a while a hostess walks up and asks me if anyone is helping me. I tell her I had a call in order and she said oh your food has been waiting. And so I said, well no body told me anything and I've been sitting here. Then she said oh I'm sorry. Come on up and you can pay for your food. I was overly excited about the restaurant thinking it would live up to the expectations. But my chicken wings were fried too hard. Macaroni was good. Rice and gravy was good. My experience was okay, but it could have been better.

This was my boyfriend and I first time here. The food and service was not good. I recommend bar rescue immediately for this restaurant! Our eggs were cold we sent then back came back cold again. Our waiter kept forgetting what we ordered, then she tried to talk to my boyfriend right in front of me. She said and I quote are yall splitting the bill. I said no sis did we ask for two separate checks from the beginning? I bet she wrote his name down off his card. You know I was truly excited moving here and trying new places. This place was a true eye catcher but hey don’t judge a book by its cover!

I loved this place and frequently went. On Saturday, my grits were cold and lumpy, fried okra was rubbery and greasy, and my Mac n cheese was dry and not cheesy at all. I was extremely dissatisfied and they weren’t even busy. This was the first time out of maybe 4 do I will go back, but I will complain and escalate if it’s not right. Next door, My House, has the BEST grits!

I had been trying to get to this restaurant for months and it was worth the wait. We all had the chicken and waffles. The Red Velvet and Sweet Potato Waffles were awesome. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection. We had no wait time and the staff was very concerned about us and took great care of us!

The red velvet waffle is the best waffle I’ve ever had!! I prefer their boneless chicken breast over their wings, the seasoning is really good. The wait time was exceptionally long to the point we had to switch it to go since our lunch break was almost over. I’d go back, just not on my lunch break.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. But, the atmosphere was a pleasure. The waitress was nice and offered some suggestions about the menu when asked. I found the restaurant on online and read the reviews and decided to visit. There was no wait for a Saturday nite. The food was phenomenal and so was the service. I'm definitely revisiting the restaurant again.

Me and my best friend and my Goddaughters always come to this place the MAC-N-CHEESE is to DIE FOR!!!!!! Overall the food is great.... the customer service is spectacular. My best friend and my two Goddaughters ( keep in mine one is a toddler and the other at the time was an infant so both need there attention and one is very active) were at the table and we were battling trying to feed both. The server saw us struggling and offered his help to us. He warmed up the milk for us and got a nice cool beverage for my toddler Goddaughter. They go above and beyond the call of duty and I love it.

I walked in not expecting it to be as over the top like it was. Excellent service from a very understanding waiter, excellent food that was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I had the Kiki's chicken and waffle. Waffle was almost as big as the plate, with two fried and seasoned chicken breasts propped up on the sides. The atmosphere was really nice too. Had a sort of safe feeling to it. They had some paintings hung up, good music, the works. Definitely coming back here if I come back to South Carolina.

I was so excited to eat here after hearing all the reviews about the food but I can say I was very disappointed. Poor customer service from the younger male host. We were seated as soon as we arrived. And we had Jasmine as a server (she was great!!!she picked up were everyone else slacked off) We had a party of 4 and ordered buffalo wings (they were drench in sauce) the wings had a few feathers

Excellent choice for lunch today. We got the fried okra for an appetizer and the spicy chipotle mayo that they have is phenomenal. In true southern fashion I added a bit of hot sauce to it just to top it off but it wasn’t necessary. I ordered the chicken and waffles and upgraded to the sweet potato waffle and added brown sugar and the sweet cream to it. If I’m being honest the brown sugar made the waffle too sweet but it was still delicious. The chicken was very good and I rarely eat chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing! We were a party of 10 and ordered a variety of dishes. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Chicken n waffles, smothered pork chops, shrimp n grits, fried fish platter, sweet potato fries.... we had it all and all was delicious!

Had dinner here last week. My server was great, he was polite and didn't waste time. I ordered the salmon patties, my waiter advised against it based on how late it was and the effort involved. I did it anyway (my mistake). They ran out of the mixture to make the patties, no big deal, I asked if they could just substitute a wing for the missing salmon patty. They did and the wing was good. The salmon patties were about a 1/4 inch thick and maybe two inches across, it was like they tried to stretch the ingredients instead of make more or notify me that they ran out. I think they were deep fried which is not how I remember them. The saving grace was the chocolate chip waffle and vanilla ice cream! Spot on amazing! The lesson, this is a chicken and waffle place, stick with chicken and waffles and you won't be disappointed.

Our sever was very impatient with our party, frowning, answering with short unpleasant tones, etc. in addition, the menus on our table were barely readable in some sections and they were dirty. The table was sticky as well. Our wait for food was a bit long as well. Many in my party commented on the taste not being up to par.

I don't even eat waffles and I'm giving this place 5 stars! Their fried chicken was some of the best I've ever had (although I recommend bone-in always). My wife and son absolutely loved their waffles. They said they were airy and crisp. I'll have to take their word for it since I think bread is gross (except, of course, for breading). Friendly staff, nice place, and they serve mimosas!

Today was my first time here. AMAZING!!! The food was phenomenal and the service was bar none. I went with a friend and they ordered the half chicken and a waffle. There was a 7 minute wait on the half chicken so they brought out fried wings for the wait... NO CHARGE! Our waitress Tika was the best. She made awesome suggestions and was very attentive and polite. I will definitely be back.

Went to Kiki's after graduation with family and friends...a party of 12. We were promptly seated and served with kindness and excellence. All the food, appetizers and entrees were hot, fresh and delicious. Everyone in my party was very happy and enjoyed the experience. I'd give this places 10 stars if I could! The fried chicken is like no other chicken I've had before. The batter is full of flavor and so crunchy, the chicken is juicy! The sweet potato waffle was crisp on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside and truly tasted like sweet potatoes. The wait staff there is so nice, lunch came out in no time . Try this place for the soul food, you won't be sorry!
