The service was slow, and after watching other tables seated after us receive their food, we finally cornered our waitress to ask when our orders were coming. A few minutes later, she brought two orders of chicken Alfredo that were not even lukewarm, the specialty of the house chicken dish which was barely warm, and a bowl of soup and a wrap sandwich. Although everything was flavored well, it appeared that everything had been sitting long enough to get cool before being served. Consequently, the sweet potato fries were cold and soggy, and mashed potatoes and the soup served barely warm. A good point was that the salads were cold, crisp, and plentiful.

It was a quiet, comfortable, casual place with relatively simple decor yet spacious enough for everyone to have room to breathe. Our service was consistently punctual and attentive and provided several timely refills on drinks. We ordered the Jalapeño cheese dip with chips for an appetizer, which was certainly a good choice. I found the choices on the menu to be rather plain, and it was difficult for me to find anything that really stuck out or sounded particularly good. Nevertheless, I chose the tuna steak salad. I was pleased that they happily replaced the fried onion straws with fresh red onions. The tuna steak itself was seasoned well and cooked according to order. What was most disappointing was the lettuce of the salad, which seemed wet, as though washed but not dried before being put in my salad. The best thing was the honey-glazed croissant, which was the best croissant I have ever had. Overall, a decent experience for lunch, although the the menu could use a little more excitement.

Something has changed. We use to love this place but now after 2 times going for dinner we were very disappointed. House salad has changed, not as good and not as much on it plus the shrimp was so hot couldn't eat it and the club sandwich was bland ! Probably will be our last time going !

Well, of course this is five stars, I mean, it's J Peters after all so it's not too surprising. Had the Prime Rib. Soooo much better than the prime rib I had earlier in the week at another place (sounds like Charlie's). Everyone at our table loved their dishes. Even the salad was great, and I hardly expect a decent salad from anywhere anymore. The atmosphere is classic and elegant. Great menu. As a restaurant they are doing everything right.

Likely the best restaurant in Ft. Inn, if you aren't from around here its a small town. The decor is minimalist but don't let that turn you off. Their menu boosts lots of items with bacon and ham. They have large salad portions that each come with their famous honey croissants. My husband boosted that it is the best french dip he has ever had. My salad was a decent size but the chicken was slightly under cooked. The had lots of taps with local brews and a drink menu with a variety of other choices. Clean restaurant, clean bathrooms.

I was placed on hold for exactly 20 minutes trying to order food. Then when I finally decide to call back I’m told well the bartender is busy. I’ve worked in customer service all my life and that was unexceptable not because they were busy. But how I was made to feel as if I was bothering them. The appropriate response would have been “I’m sorry mam we are extrememly busy at this time, let me get you taken care of” and not “I mean we have a full house”. 20 minutes on hold??? No I was forgotten about thats all. My money and time was just as good as everyone else’s that was dining in.

Very nice waitress named Abby!!! Came in and got seated quickly. Took drink orders and came back quickly. The order was taken and didnt take that long either. I finished my side salad just as my blackened salmon came out. Nice sized portions. For the price I can imagine why. Food was cooked to perfection. I recommend this establishment as a good first date or a nite on the town.

Always have a great experience when I go here. My only problem with this place is I can never decide what to eat with out regret. I literally love everything on there menu and haven't found anything that us bad. One thing for sure is that I always order the BBQ Chicken Nachos and there is usually an order for me and my wife and an order for the kids. Wait staff always does a great job and offers good advice when trying to decide what to eat.

This place is wonderful. The food is outstanding. And they have early bird specials until 6:00pm and early bird prices are $10-$16, depending on what you want. The atmosphere is delightful. The waitstaff are nice and very courteous!!! Parking is very easy too!!!!

Good burgers ! We eat here a couple of times a year. So far everything we have tried has been good. Most of the visits we have had the service was good too. My only knock on JPeters in Fountain Inn is the noise level can be higher at times due to the layout and openness of the restaurant. Otherwise it is a very good option for dinner in an unlikely place.

Haven't been here in about a year. We did family dinner there for a get together was about. 12 of us and I was really looking forward to it. Well they lost my business after last night, food quality was lacking on the prime rib, the salmon looked like half the portion it used to be only recieved 6 croissants for a dozen people, service was lacking. At the end we dumped bout 300 not including tip and after payment n tip made we we left alone and no one finished clearing the table til my father had to literally pick up himslf from tsble and then someone took them but there was still things left on table after that. I had heard bad things bout the fountain inn location and sad to find out its true. Rather go elsewhere and pay more for the service.

Ohhhh my goodness!!!!! Delicious!!! We had the regular burger and prime rib. As another reviewer stated the burger alone is worth the drive from Greenville! Prime rib was heaven...the entree salad with house salad and croissant is a meal itself. Please do yourself a favor...try the house dressing!!!!! Our waitress,Jennifer, was attentive and super friendly! We will most definitely be going back!

As good as it gets. Prime rib done right, juicy & hot. Savory she crab soup was delicious. Fried flounder was nicely breaded and crisp but still moist. Better than basic tossed salad and the baked potato was just right. Service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Prices were reasonable. (We were there for the early bird specials.) Who could ask for more?

Last evening I took my family there for dinner. My son had j peters burger and that was good. My wife and I had the j peters chicken, although it was tasty the chicken was severly over done. We even had a tough time cutting it witb a knife. Apparently they have a chef that doesn't care about his food that he prepares. No restaurant needs a chef like that. This is the fastest way to have there business ruined by putting out bad food. Hopefully management fixes this issue.

Actually this is from Dawn Holland, my husband and I went to the JPeters in Mauldin and it was fantastic. We had the best waitress, her name was Sonya. She was attentive and very sweet. We normally go to Rick Erwins Eastside but let me just say the food was very good. The filet was very good, the cheesy mashed potatoes, the mixed drinks and the salad was awesome! We saved money and the food was just as good if not better. We will definately be back!!

They have really good food here at this restaurant and excellent service. A very nice shoes an older downtown location for the ambiance. My only complaint is that it is a little too dark in the restaurant. However overall I do recommend this establishment for a good meal.

My first time at J peters was amazing i had a great server! So i decide to come back for my little sister's birthday. My family was skeptical about having her birthday dinner there but i convinced them the food was good & services was too! Well i was completely UNHAPPY about the second time eating there! We had a large group(11-13 people) the wait didn't take long to seat us. The serve we had refuse to tell us her name when she sat us ( i should've seen that was a sign to leave but i didn't make a big deal about it) She took orders for drinks, and did well with that part. Then it came to ordering the food SHE WROTE EVERYTHING AND REPEATED once she was finished. When the food comes EVERYTHING was incorrect! I didn't even receive a plate of food at all! we asked her to fixed the orders that were wrong and she didn't she still brought out the wrong food. then i let her know that i still haven't even received anything and she walked away and ignore me,i said excuse me miss did you hear me and she said yeah going to check on it now, well she came back and said i forgot what you order, i was like HOW? so i reordered.Another 30 minutes went by i still haven't heard anything back, so i go find her and she said the chef forgot this time, and said we are cooking now! at this point i'm livid !! and everyone else in the group are already receiving their checks, the double charged my cousin(whose pregnant, she didn't eat at all, her food was completely wrong) so i asked to speak to the manger to let her know my server wasn't great and i was dissatisfied with her, the manager didn't care !! I said well ill be calling corporate and letting them know everything about it ! she still refused to fix or help the situation !

Oh please! This place is soooooo overrated! Been here twice and both times were a huge disappointment. I guess this is the best this company can offer. They have a California Burger without avocado! Their salad is mostly iceberg lettuce-so cheap! The tomatoe they served was hard and flavorless-in the middle of summer! They were out of baked potatoes on a Friday night during a Fountain Inn Square event. The air conditioning was out, again during the summer. But the weirdest thing is they don't have an area to wait to be seated. You're either in the bar or you awkwardly stand at the hostess desk (in the way of people coming in and leaving). Never EVER again!

We always order salads. Tremendous flavor and huge size. You can choose steak or fish on the side of a salad. I bought the salad with blue cheese dressing and I loved it. Have a full bar, if interested. Definitely, you'll have a great meal.

Went there for the first time tonight and was very disappointed in the menu selections and the prices. Logan's has 16oz New York Strips and Ribeye steaks for what this place charges for an 11oz sirloin. If you want burgers or sandwiches you'll have a pretty good selection to choose from otherwise there's not a very good selection.

Wife and I had a great lunch at J Peters.. Very nice low key atmosphere..really like the tall ceilings and the way the kitchen is away from the dining area. Also the bar is partially enclosed which helps with the noise. Service was polite and attentive.. I hard the J Peters burger and the wife had the chicken wrap... Both were well portioned...a lot of food for lunch.

Good food, nice atmosphere, and this Fountain Inn location is in a very nice spot downtown. We had a great server who was able to do something nice for my fiancee's birthday without turning it into a big thing. Would definitely recommend and would like to go again!

I eat at J peters normally between the hours of 3pm and 6pm because they have a list of delicious items for under $10. This comes with a full salad, a side and a croissant. I normally order the fried shrimp plate. These shrimp are so big and delicious it's ridiculous. My side order is normally fries, but I have also ordered the collard greens and loaded bake potato. This is not the only under $10 dish that they have, its just the dish I always eat because I have never been disappointed. You're normally in and out in less than an hour. They get you seated very quickly and deliver your food to your table nice and hot. A family of five on this deal is normally $50. I make the kids drink water, it's good for you, plus I don't spend much more money! I'm on a budget! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they need to integrate the iceberg salad they serve to include maybe some spinach or other greenery.

Was just treated there for Mother's Day. I selected the steak. Juicy and tender! My son selected fried shrimp. I sampled one of his shrimp and I must say it was the best shrimp I have ever tasted! If you are looking for a decent restaurant with wonderful food I highly recommend JPeters Grill. A lovely experience!

Ordered a $12 prime rib sandwich and was brought the $24 prime rib plate. Was in too much of a rush to send it back and wait all over again. This place is always busy, and I have a hard time understanding why. I guess it just comes down to individual preference. Obviously a lot of people love this place, but not me. Just get a weird vibe and the food is average.
