Solid American/Italian casual fare. Pizza to subs to pasta. The lunch fare includes belly filling subs like a house specialty Chicken Cutlet. Make sure to get the in-house chips with ranch (it is the south). This is a great choice if your in Salisbury.

Great Dinner and Service!! We ordered two entrees from their menu and enjoyed both dinners. One was Chicken Francese which was just perfect and Chicken Parm with Fettuccine Alfredo and it was also delicious. We have not tried this place before but we were extremely glad that we did....they have two new fans and we will be back. Service was also excellent and very attentive. Just a wonderful experience.

We get the cheese pizza which is fantastic! Its taste reminds me of New York pies...the crust has a delicious flavor and great crunch...the marinara is fresh and tastes great...the cheese has a nice saltiness...price is great for the quality...we love this place!

I went there for lunch and it took over 20 minutes to get the food, even though they weren't very busy at all. Ended up being late getting back to work because of their slow service. The stromboli was really good though, but the marinara sauce is truly awful - it tastes like canned tomato paste with some salt and pepper added. EDIT: I added a star to my rating after reading the owner's reply. Oven problems can't really be avoided so that's fair. There is still room for improvement on the sauce, though.

Good full menu, good selection of starters, all pasta types, specialties, desserts, drinks. Food was great. There was a mixup on our order, nothing major and it was dealt with quickly. Process seem a little high to me, but not terrible, and not enough to complain. Have been many times and will be back!

I have read the other reviews and wonder where I ended up dining. My experience was much different. First of all service was top notch. These ladies are pretty good; but the devil is in the details, my food was way below expectations. The bread they served was not baked all the way. Doughy in the middle. The bruschetta appetizer was hard as a rock with tomatoes on it. I had the "taste of Italy".It looked and tasted like it had been reheated from frozen. The other party tried the eggplant. It was over cooked...almost burnt and slathered in red sauce. When we asked for a knife to cut it with I had to do a double take. Broken handle, broken rivet, loose blade in the shape of an s. My to go order had fries in it. I got warm, limp potatoes instead. I'm scared to ask about the veal sub.

Yummy made to order pizza. This was our second visit to Il Colosseo. Friendly waitress, clean restaurant although it was a little cold temperature wise for me. Ordered garlic knots for an appetizer. They were delicious. Our pizza was made as ordered with generous quantity of toppings & flavorful. So much better than going to CiCi's like my son wanted!

I would give it a 5 if not for 2 things . 1 consistency ..we get basically same pies ordered same way as our friends, often as many as 7x a month combined between us . And it's never the same it's either crisp or soggy , messy or absolute art .... it's a crapshoot what your gonna get . Taste is generally always good ... 2nd ) the Cannolis arent right , buy better or make better please ... and MAKE powdered Zeppolis... Fix this and you got the best 5 star reasonable Italian resteraunt and pizzeria in this state imo and I look n try any one I find .

If I could give a zero star I would. Came with my family tonight. Had my 2 year old with me. I ordered a stromboli. Steak special. Was feeding my kid and just decided to take mine home. Just found a piece of WOOD inside my stromboli. WOOD. I HAVE PICTURES. NEVER GOING AGAIN.

Everytime we eat there the sauce is different. A few months ago it was so salty we couldn't eat it. Last night it was orange. Looked like wing sauce! It was ok but not great like it has been in the past.

Wouldn't normally be in Statesville, but it was conveniently located halfway distance between my girlfriend's cousin and us. It was a great choice, really good Italian food, service was fantastic. Nice place to just sit and linger over good food.

We where traveling and stopped to stay the night at a exit north of this restaurant. I looked up restaurants and reviews near by and came across this wonderful place! This was the best Italian food i have had in a long long time! If we come back by here in a week on the way home we will stop again for sure! If you find yourself looking for a great place to eat at a great price THIS IS IT!! Order the garlic knots! We had all diffrent stuff off the menu and every bit of it was delicious! I have been going to Il Colosseo for years and find the food, the staff, the service exemplary! I have many favorite dishes, but perhaps the Vegetable Lasagna & Lasagna Classico are my two favorite meals. As long as the doors stay open, I'm going to keep visiting one of the best eateries in Salisbury!

Just went there and ate dinner. It was not what the reviews said. The sauce was hot and never told now hot it was. It is not a place if you have an ulcer or GI issues. We all got spaghetti, one with seafood, veal and sausage. The sausage was plain tasting, the seafood from frozen no way fresh... and being from an Italian family, it was NOT what my Italian grandmother would serve. Tea was good, bread was amazing and salad, but the food was horrible.

Not great. No kid's menu and my lasagna had weird colored meat that looked expired and I didn't even eat over half of it. Romano's is where it's at and not far from there *edit* I apologize, there is a kid's menu, it just didn't have cheese pizza on it. Sorry for the mix-up

I actually really liked the food here. I am a bit picky and have extremely high standards, especially when "New York style" is on the signs. The food was good, the waitress was attentive but not overly so which I loved. The atmosphere was nice and even though the tables are close together you still felt privacy. The decor could be better, but I was there for the food, which did not disappoint. The prices were reasonable, also. I definitely found my new pizza place.

Any time I am in this area I always stop here to eat. The food has been fantastic every time. The pizza is fresh and delicious and they never go skimpy on the toppings on the pizza or their other dishes for that matter. The price is reasonable and there are options for just about everyone.

I'm originally from New Jersey and if you don't know we take a lot of pride in our pizza. So upon moving to N.C I knew pizza would be a challenge and......It was. Until II Colosseo! This pizza is FANTASTIC, they 100% could rival ANY pizza parlor from N.Y or N.J no question. Not only is the pizza good but dinners are just as good. Orders are made on time and never have to wait, unless your in line to pay. Sometimes that may take a min because it seems most locals have already uncovered the secret.... THEY ARE AWESOME! Also very clean and friendly environment to sit and eat at. If you follow my reviews then u know I don't give 5 stars out to anyone but the Cream of the Crop. Ladies and Gentlemen this place is just that. This is a place if your just passing by or in a 50 mile radius u go out of your way for! Love the place and if you go I'm CONFIDANT you will too. Discloser: I am in NO WAY affiliated or know any the places I give my reviews to. I'm just a guy that writes my thoughts on each place I visit nothing more,nothing less.
