Best hamburger in North Augusta except for the onions they use. I would give 5 stars, but the onions are too strong. I don’t want a hamburger without onions on it, but last 4 or 5 trips, I had to take them off to enjoy the burger. They were so pungent and strong they literally made my eyes water and stunk up my car. I’m not saying the onions are spoiled are anything - just way too powerful. Gary - I know Vidalias cost too much, but find a good deal on some Texas sweets.

Outstanding chicken biscuits. Unlike other resteraunts it's real chicken and the biscuits are made from scratch. Drive thru was long. Seemed like everyone is thinking the same thought when at Gary's. When passing by the drive thru is full. Good food brings the crowd of people. There was another lady on the drive thru some time back. She was good. She could move those crowds. If chicken needed to cook she pulled that car over and got tge cars moved. When chicken ready it was out to the parked car hot and fresh. This one doesn't pull the vehicle to the side instead everyone stays in line till the food is done even if it must cook. At least, its fresh and it's real and not imitation.

One of my favorite quick stops for a classic burger. The fries aren't always the best, but the fried onions are usually good. Gary's hamburgers are usually a solid burger choice at any of their locations in Augusta. There's only a couple of places that beats their burgers in my opinion.

What a friendly neighborhood burger joint should be. Sloppy juicy burgers with all the fixin's you could want, and a large mound of fries to go with. Try the chicken fingers if you are not in the mood for beef. Maybe the only caveat about the place is that sometimes you'll go in there and it'll be pretty messy in the dining area. But that's just a byproduct of how many people have been utterly enjoying themselves.

Needed a late night burger fix and stopped here. Takes a little longer because it is cooked fresh right to order. Got a double cheeseburger loaded with the fixings and it reminded me of homemade 4th of July burgers. Best thing is it's not expensive at all.

Food was good but cashier was very unsanitary!!! She was handling EVERYTHING with NO gloves!! Trash, money, drinks and BAGGING!!! If the cook wouldn't have personally put our food in the bag (he had on gloves) I would've acted upppp in there!! Do better!!!

Burger is good but for some reason the coleslaw tasted like I was eating someone's cigarette ashes with a spoon. It smelled like cigarettes and tasted like them. It basically caused me to lose my appetite and I threw everything away. And I dont smoke.

Great food. Horrible service. Very slow. This could be a great establishment but lacks correct management. Every time I go my order is messed up and it takes me over a hour to get my food corrected. I don’t order anything special so I really don’t understand. If you ask the staff they seem annoyed that I asked about my food 40 min after I ordered it.

I have not seen any updates inside or out in my 35 years in North Augusta . Staff is not always friendly and there is no Southern Charm there anymore . Hello McDonalds

Gary's serve a great Homestyle hamburger, each Burger is individually cooked and made by hand. In my estimate much better than the ones you get from the fast food joints, the price is very reasonable.

Had nice breakfast at the Evans location and was in North Augusta for breakfast. Went into Gary's and asked if I could still get breakfast. Girl said no, it stops at 11. Looked at my phone, it was 11:06. So I went across the street to waffle House and couldn't even park. Ended up at sunrise grill which was also packed. There was no one in your store. I guess your business is ao good you can turn away customers just want something to eat.

I went here with my friend's mom to celebrate my birthday and their burgers and fries are AWESOME!! Everything in there is home and handmade, including the fries, burgers, and ranch (omg you have to try it.) I can't remember what exactly the price for the burger is, but it was somewhere near $6 or $8.

I have driven by this place for years, and never stopped in. Went to p/u lunch for some co-workers is what finally made me stop in and try them. I read various reviews and some were not so good (to say the least). The outside tables are a good idea when it is warmer because the inside seemed a little small and cramped. The people were friendly and the service was pretty quick. I called our order in 3 burgers, chicken sandwich, and large fry and onion ring as I was leaving University Hospital and I only had to wait to get to the counter when I got there, the food was being bagged up ad I walked in. The only complaint/down point was they said were out of dessert (I had a pregnant co-worker I was picking up for, so dessert WAS important!). Then they said they had been out of dessert for 2 or 3 days. Hmmmm..... None was made or what? Otherwise, the food was what it was supposed to be. Bacon was good and crispy on the burger and the grilled chicken was a good size piece too. Not my favorite place, but a good option!

After all the hype I've heard about this place I was looking forward to trying it. I doubt I will ever return. My wife and I got there around 10:30 AM for breakfast. It took 25 minutes for two chicken biscuits, pancakes and a hash brown. The food was so bland, and the chicken looked like it was fried in old oil, because it had all those tiny burnt pieces stuck onto it. The hash brown was of the McDonald's consistency. At least the pancakes were ok.

Consistently the worst run restaurant in North Augusta. The chicken fingers are the best I've ever tasted, but most days not worth the hassle at all. Staff always seems completely lost, rude most days, 30+ min waits on 4pc and fry combos, will charge for a cup of water while waiting on your $50 order, the issues are endless. Like I said with those chik fingers, could be an amazing place, but always leaves a lot to be desired. Seen people try to bring issues up to the owner Gary, he seemed more concerned with people parking in his parking spaces. I truly hope one day any of this will be fixed, a lot of wasted potential.
