My sister and I went here a couple times for breakfast. The first time we just got coffee, but the second time we had a real breakfast, and let me just say, their French toast is amazing! Just the perfect amount of powdered sugar, syrup and strawberries! I haven’t had any of their lunch items yet, but their breakfast is great. It’s a nice quiet place where you can just go to have a meal with family and friends. I would definitely come here again. :)

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Great homemade type food! Love the fried okra and vegetable soup. BLT was awesome, made with fresh ingredients. Fried chicken is very good. Hamburgers are awesome. Salad bar is also very good. Cole slaw is bland but everything else is wonderful. Enjoyed dining there, will return!

On 11.26.2018 I had ordered an all you can eat Alaskan fish for my mother...the waitress had misunderstood what I had said but quickly fixed the problem by dealing the cook...well the cook started yelling so loud I could hear him in the dining area by the bar that was uncaused for smh worst experience ever there

the breakfast was fine but the chocolate syrup they use to make chocolate milk didn't dissolve in the milk and it was kind of grainy.

Breakfast was good, plentiful and a great price. Service is always quick and friendly. We have not tried it yet for lunch or dinner but breakfast is solid. Nothing fancy, just a good down home breakfast.

Just moved to the area and have been looking for a good down home place to eat well after being disappointed with all the others i figured i would try this place as always i read the reviews and the were good but in this area I have learned that the reviews don't mean much because I have tried a few other spots and they were horrible but I was pleasantly surprised with this place the food was made from scratch everything the waitress was very nice and pleasant the prices were very very good the quality of food was excellent and I can only say good things about this place will definitely be back

2 stars because the waitress was very nice and the burgers were huge. Mashed potatoes were garbage! I'm not a picky eater and I never throw food away but I could not eat them! Rice and gravy is mushy yellow rice with one drop of gravy on top. I never received my biscuits. They don't have coke products. Webs growing in the windows.

I am here around Duncan fairly often for work and am always in for some good down home cookin... This place doesn't disappoint. I ordered the hamburger steak with the mashed, mac n cheese and fried ocra. Everything was served quickly but was very fresh and hot. Ill be back often.

The food was horrible the salmon we ordered tasted horrible and we took two bites and the owner refused to let us swap it out for something else. I'm not sure how this place is still open, it's barely a restaurant. Do yourself a favor and and never eat there. I would have rather have eaten McDonald's fast food over this garbage.

Nice, quiet restaurant. 2 adults ate lunch for just $17. And it was ALOT of food! Service left a little something to be desired, but was friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the onion rings. Went on a Monday in May 2019 around 1-1:30. I will definitely stop in again if ever in the area. I live about 200 miles from here and drove up because of a work related reason.

Service and food were horrible. The waitress we had had only been working there 3 days and every question we asked she said she didn't know. No one was shadowing her. Then the sign says kids eat free Wednesday but when we got up to pay they said it was with a paying adult of $6.99 or more, this was not made known up front. Both mine and my husbands meals were less then $6.99 a piece so we did not get the kids meals free. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant.

Got daily special country fried steak with 3 veggies coleslaw beets and mac and cheese. The salads looked food but the mac and cheese bland kind of watery not cheesy. Coleslaw dry . The country fried steak was just ok . I might visit again but dpubt it food just wasnt that impressive

My girlfriend and I arrived at this restaurant on a Monday night. We were greeted with smiles and seated. The nice Spanish lady that works at the front was our server. She was very nice along with Nick who is also a server. We ordered the all you can eat seafood and we at allllllll we could eat. I didn't realize until we paid and left that we had arrived 15 mins before closing and we didn't walk out until 8:45 or so......we felt sooooo bad we had kept them late. I had no idea what time it was when we came in. What was most surprising was although we were sitting, laughing and eating no one ever said a word about "we're closing" or gave any attitude indicative that we were being rushed. This place is top notch in service! I honestly would have not let a customer order all you can eat with 15 mins left until closing or at least made them aware that we will be closing shortly. Nicest people in the world. I hope they read this and accept our apology. Give these folks your business. You won't be disappointed.

The owner is a personal friend of mine and might I say this is one of the best places to eat in the upstate. The staff is very friendly and very clean. I know the chef personally and he takes pride in his restaurant and his food. If your looking for a clean friendly family oriented place that serves good down home country food you gotta check this place out!!

Good old fashion down to earth food served in a bright, clean establishment. Took a large party for Sunday breakfast, 12 people. We called ahead to let them know we were coming and they had our table set up when we arrived. Service was quick as they split our party between two servers. They went out of their way to make a fresh pot of coffee when I complained about the first cup being very weak. I would recommend this restaurant for a good meal.

Yes. Square. And quite possibly the worst banana pudding (pudding is a stretch) I've ever had. It all points to cheap ingredients to hit a low price. And, it's smokey. So, if you are short on cash and taste buds, and in the Duncan SC area, stop on by the Duncan Family Restaurant for some 3rd grade everything. The wait staff is friendly and courteous.
