Not bad food, but last two times there for my lunch hour (1:30-2:30), it took 20 minutes to get food. 1/2 Chicken salad on croissant and garlic asparagus (that was warm at best. 4 sprigs, tasted fine, good crunchiness, just not hot). Husband had 1/2 Main street club and braised red cabbage. It didn't appear that busy -- seemed like fried foods were coming out quicker.

Doolittles ("Eat - Drink - Do Little") is one of our favorite Anderson eateries and a definite recommendation. Everything on the menu is tasty and portions are large. Also, the wait staff is friendly and experienced... and a special shout-out to Amanda.

Slow! Don't go if you are in a hurry or want to be in an out in less than 90 minutes. I don't recommend a group of more than 5-6 because it gets even slower. The food is always good and the menu has a wide selection. Prices are reasonable for the portions too.

I love this restaurant!!! Huge menu & everything looks fabulous!! I was in town for the day from Spartanburg with my sister-in-law, googled restaurants from the car, knew nothing about Dolittle's, other than we knew the pictures on the menu looked great! And we were NOT disappointed!! There is such a vast variety to chose from. The Shrimp & Grits are the best I have ever eaten and my sister-in-law's Shepard's Pie was also just as delicious. Plus, the wait staff was very friendly, cheerful, & helpful! We will definitely make the trip back just to eat at Doolittle's!!!

Came in for lunch. Our server was great. I had the BBQ sandwich . My wife had the club sandwich. Her side order of fries were barely even cooked. My BBQ sandwich was a little wet and chewy as if it was reheated in a microwave. My wife asked for an extra little plastic cup of ranch dressing and they charged us for it. Not real classy for a $9 sandwich

I got the Carolina burger, it was pretty damn good. The chili and coleslaw mix was sweet and savory on a very thick beef patty. I feel like the portion of fries could have been better but damn that's a good burger. I can't honestly give it 4/5 because it was a great burger, but, John wanted pickled jalapenos on his nachos and fresh jalapenos are garbage. They didn't have any pickled jalapenos. Please get some pickled jalapenos.

I'm giving a 3 (mixed review) everything was good but my ribeye was rancid. I took a bite thought it was some kind of marinade till I smelled it. It smelled up our table. I had done gave my son several bites before I took one I ate. So hopefully we dont get sick. The waitress smelled my steak and instantly took it back. The 2nd steak was great. Didnt smell but was bit over cooked for my liking. Everything else at the table was amazin .

My workplace picked up a to go order for my birthday lunch and brought it back & they left out a side salad and gave us 2 raw burgers that were specifically supposed to be well done. Hopefully the dine in service is better. I used to love this place but after this experience, I’m over Doolittle’s.

The food was excellent, the pulled pork nachos and green bean fries in particular. There are some good craft beer options, like Bound By Time from Edmund's Oast. We immensely enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drink, and this is going to be in the top three or four places downtown for us to get a meal and a beer. There are also two TV's over the bar for watching football, or whatever sport is in season.

I typically get the same item each time I do but recently started branching out to new items and everything I have tried is wonderful. The atmosphere is cosy and there is outside seating if preferred. The menu has some nice selections and there are gluten free choices. My favorite is the shepherds pie. The beef and vegetables are nestled in a rich gravy and topped with a generous helping of mashed potatoes and cheese. The wait staff are friendly and courteous, and prices are reasonable.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, Good food, great live music. I went for a light dinner and had the steak and blue cheese salad and it was excellent. I believe all the dressings are homemade. Small bar with average amount if spirits. They do have a few beers on tap one of them being Smithwicks (fav for me). Live music Friday and Saturday nights. This particular night it was a solo guitarist. Easy tunes such as Eagles, James Taylor and the like. He had 4 guitars for the different sounding music and his voice modeled most of the original artists very well (never "killed" a tune) Everything complemented one another very well. Nice place for a date night or to get together with friends and family. Didn't give it 5 stars because I've had the salad.

The food here is delicious, and the portions are generous. You will not get a $14 salad with iceberg lettuce here. They use fresh produce from local farmers, and their salad dressings are made in house. The she-crab soup is amazing (be sure to ask for a little Sherry; it takes it to a whole new level)! The crab cakes, mussels, shrimp, and the scallops are exceptional. The burgers and sandwiches are yummy, and their steaks are always cooked to perfection. The service here is always friendly and attentive. Make sure to ask for Amanda, she’s amazing!

This restaurant uses to be a favorite. Quality of food has gone way done. The booths are ripped and patched together with duct tape, and the fries were soggy and cold. We were also the first customers in there for the day. Very disappointing.

Looking for a local place to eat, we decided to eat here. Hostess was very friendly, server took forever to ask for the drinks, we were about to leave. My sons hamburger had not flavor at all and it was burnt. The other order, Reuben sandwich had like 10 fries only. We've order mac n cheese as a side because it says on the menu they were creamy and they weren't, they were dry. My chicken schnitzel had no flavor at all. Overall, sorry guys but we didn't like it. Poor service and bad food.

The food was excellent. I ordered a house salad which was smaller than I expected, but it ended up being the perfect portion size. My husband ordered the barbeque chicken stack which was also delicious. Anna was our server and she did an absolutely phenomenal job. We will definitely be back!

Very disappointed to say the least. We just ate here, and we couldn’t be happier to be walking out the door. First off, the hostesses never greeted us. As soon as walked in, we were told to follow. We sat in a very awkward table at the front of the restaurant. The whole seating situation was very awkward because we weren’t even greeted. If they removed this table, aesthetically, the restaurant would look great and no one would feel cramped by the constant people leaving and entering. There were perhaps 80% open seats and no reservation setups but we had a very awkward seat. The second part is that the online menu on the website is different from the actual website. Some of the things we wanted weren’t offered. The food itself would be rated a 0 if I could. $12 for 6 pretzels pieces and a crab pimento cheese. It was luke-warm at best, but it tasted as if it had been sitting out. This did foreshadow the meal unfortunately. I ordered the salmon. It was fairly OK at best. Not seasoned at all. A little undercooked, but I don’t mind it being towards the raw, fishy side (fish is delicate to cook so as a chef, I get that). However, very very bland because of the no seasoning. It looked quite naked as there wasn’t any seasoning or anything on it. Even fairly faint grill marks. Couldn’t eat the green beans as they were very crunchy (and cold). The mashed potatoes were warm and that was the best part. I also ordered a she-crab soup. It was at best, room temperature. My spoon (literally) stuck straight up. It tasted more like a loaded potato soup that sat out all day. We declined to eat this after a few bites. She ordered shrimp and grits. Hers as well was at best, luke warm to room temperature. It was OK but very mediocre. Very disappointed. Lastly, our silverware was dirty when we unwrapped it. So overall, it wasn’t a good experience. Maybe it was an “off” night, but a Saturday evening with not many people should provide ample opportunity to not “rush” food or let it sit out. From running a kitchen staff, the smaller things like just double checking temperatures make a world of difference. There’s a lot of room for potential. AH

I went for lunch. The service was very good. The food was average. I had the chicken salad cold plate. It was bland. It also came with pimento cheese. The pimento cheese had too much of a sweet relish taste and looked like a ball of shredded cheese. The fruit on the plate was adequate but the honeydew melon was not sweet. Also there were sliced black olives and a mix of diced green pepper and cucumber. It was hard to decide what and how to mix them into the salads. Not over priced considering the adequate portion size.

I been here before and gotten great service, but this time was definitely not great service. We ordered drinks and did not get them for 30 mins. Our waitress never returned. We ended up just leaving with no food or drinks. After I posted this review the owner reached out to me and and would like to provide a better experience. So I will be going back and giving them another try. Update, went back today and it was awesome. Our server was great and so was the food. Changing to 4 stars.

So, first time dining at your restaurant, not sure I’ll be back. My parents and I decided to come there on our way through Anderson after a long day of festivities. We ordered The Fish and Hand Cut Fries and we also ordered the Shepard’s Pie. The fish was raw with to much breading, the inside of the breading was raw and we could literally make a dough ball from the breading. The fries were decent, so not bad on those. The Shepard’s Pie was bland and tasteless, mashed potatoes tasted like three day old refrigerated potatoes, and were just put on top without baking them. Ever have Denty Moore’s Beef Stew, that’s what it tasted like. Awful! Now, we were told the chef was experienced, not sure I believe it. They comped the meal but never spoke to anyone, poor customer service.

This place has amazing food i got the Shepherd's Pie today and it was delicious,also recommend the chicken fried chicken,our waitress Amanda did an outstanding job taking care of us

First off I really want to give them a 5 star rating. The food was awesome, and the service was incredible, except for one crucial detail, I never once talked to a waitress or waiter or wait person... I guess because i was a party of one i wasn't worth their time, but lucky for me the amazing bartender picked up the sack and took care of me. Of course this experience is my own, and the last time I was here (with a bigger party) I had excellent service. I would enthusiastically recommend Doolittles for anyone, no matter how small the party :)
