Best authentic, fresh Italian food in the area, worth an hour's drive! Excellent apps (highly recommend the asparagus), tons of entree choices, and desserts were delicious. Our server Brooke was attentive, with a great personality. Look forward to going back to try more dishes!

Came here with a group of 7 for my sister's 58th birthday. The service was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the coffee they served with the heavy cream with the cake rounded out the meal perfectly. We tried lasagna, manicotti, calzone, stromboli, salads, and I don't remember what else but everyone was happy with everything served. The chocolate cake was amazing and the coffee with the cream was perfect.

We have eaten at Da Vinci’s on previous occasions and the food was good but not exceptional. Went tonight with friends and my chicken parm was inedible. The chicken had a “nuked” flavor and texture and the breading was completely soggy and tasteless. Angel hair was tepid, and marinara was flavorless. I was completely surprised since the appetizers and other dishes were good according to friends. The greatest disappointment was that the manager nor chef seemed to care enough to stop by our table to apologize. Our server was great and did her best but she cannot make up for the kitchen. No more Da Vinci’s

Really enjoyed the ambiance, food is actually a lot closer to authentic Italian than you'd expect. Great pasta and pizza! You'll look out of place if you show up in Pajamas or athletic attire.

We are from the northeast so Italian food in other parts of the country doesn't always measure up. The food here comes close but I ordered a scallop dish which turned out to be a pasta dish in which they added one sea scallop cut up into small pieces, disappointed.

I got an order from door dash, simple spaghetti with meatballs and a side of garlic bread. The delivery was fine but they took a really long time making the food and it tasted so sour that I couldn't even eat it. They wouldn't give me a refund either. I don't think I'll be eating here again. I didn't even want to feed it to my dog.

BEST ITALIAN! This place is so wonderful, I was extremely thankful to find it when I moved to Hickory! They have excellent traditional Italian cuisine and amazing wood-oven pizza. I eat here several times a month and have loved every single thing I have tried. Chicken Parmesan, pomodoro pasta, primevera pizza, and the tiramisu are just a few of my favorites. Absolutely go here and take all of your friends!

Good service can make or break an experience. Let me explain why I think so. We decided to spend a long weekend in the area doing various things for my husband's birthday. We had researched several restaurants and decided that Da Vinci's might be a great place to have dinner. When we got there, the server appeared to be inexperienced but nice. She did not let us know about the nightly specials and could not answer questions about their wine. Still, we are fairly easy going. Her suggestion for an appetizer (calamari) was good and we enjoyed it. The wine? Not so much. It tasted old like it had been open for several days and had an "off" taste. I left most of it. Later, as I tried to order, I was told that I could ONLY have spinach with my salmon since I did not want pasta. Ironically, my husband was offered several choices, including asparagus with his steak. Later when we got our bill, we noticed that I had an upcharge for the spinach. Why did I have an upcharge if the ONLY thing I could order was spinach? I would have much rather had asparagus if there was an upcharge. Later, the server disappeared for awhile. Finally, I noticed her coming out of the employee section. She appeared upset and perhaps even angry. From then on, her demeanor appeared to be sullen. She was not rude but it appeared that she had other things on her mind. We felt like an afterthought. Summary: We were in a good mood when we arrived for our reservations. When we left, we felt disappointed. Salmon: 3 - 4 out of 5 Steak: 5 Calamari: 4 Wine: 0 (tasted off, as if it had been open too long) Service: 2 - 3 Overall: 3

The care and authenticity of the food and environment is paramount. And the friendly and atmosphere and staff Bring it all together. Prices are out of this world cheap. I mean $10. 50 for a veal marsala platter with a salad and pasta, no one can beat it. This is a must eat kind of restaurant. You wont be sorry.

Best bang for your buck Italian in town. Great atmosphere and food. Stop in and try it. Get the bruschetta all fongetta or however the heck that's spelled. Appetizer, little toasted bread Slices with cooked garlic tomato and egg plant (yes, egg plant) among other things. Delicious and I hate egg plant.

I was looking forward to enjoy Admin Professional day lunch our gracious boss offered but what a disappointment at least. We were pretty excited that there're hardly any people(more attentive service) but boy we're so wrong. Our server, Jeff, was slow as molasses, forgetful(did not even bother to bring us appetizers we ordered) and clumsy(dropped knife when pick up dishes from the table). The food was decent, nothing to write home about but O.K. "The top of the performance"-the Italian restaurant was out of cappuccino and desert baba, which our server apologized and we ordered different desert(took him another 15 minutes to bring(like he was actually cooking tiramisu and cannoli). Thank goodness we're patient people with good sense of humor and still had a great time but would not recommend to anyone and really don't understand how this restaurant can have highest reviews from TripAdvisor to cross the board(looks like paid reviews to me).

Ordered lasagna tonight and it was terrible. Some of the noodles on the bottom were burnt and the whole thing was bland. If this was the first time I've had a problem with the food here I wouldn't even be writing a review. But its been every time we've ordered food from here. Years ago the food used to be excellent. But the last few times we ate here my family has been disappointed with the food. I would rather pay the extra for Carrabbas.

As long as I've lived in Hickory, this was my first time here. The atmosphere was very warm and subdued. Service was very good. The food was outstanding! I had the Risotto with Mushrooms, peas and prosciutto..best I ever had..full of flavor. Wife had the lasagna which was enough for 2 servings. Only one issue i had was...I asked for a Kentucky Mule with Makers Mark and received a regular Moscow Mule. I will definitely return.

We had lunch on Wednesday, 4/24/19. The service was very slow. They forgot to bring the appetizer ordered. After lunch we ordered desert and Expresso, they were out of one of the deserts and completely out of Expresso. Not pleased.

One of my favorite places for lunch. I LOVE their philly cheesesteak and fries, that's what I go there for, its AMAZING!My only complaint and reason for not giving 5 stars is every time we go, we stand at the front door waiting atleast 5 minutes or longer before anyone shows to seat us and the restuarant could be empty. Once seated the servers are always nice just extremely slow.

I gave my experience today a one star only because there is no zero star available. Never in my life have I had a more horrible experience than today. I ordered pizza at this Italian Restaurant, easy enough right? I was looking forward to a lovely pesto pizza with chicken , fresh tomatoes, mushroom and eggplant. What I got was a pizza drowned in some sort of baby poop looking like greenish "past a sauce( per server)", didn't look or taste very much like pesto . But, ok, I'm hungry, so I take a bite. To my surprise, I taste bacon. I ask a server for a menu, I though perhaps it comes with uncooked bacon and I just overlooked it. Nope, no bacon. I take a closer look at the pizza and there was raw bacon pieces through out. I called my server over, and showed her the bacon and she argues with me about it. Now I know what I'm tasting and I suggest that arguing with a guest may not be the best thing to do. She walks away from the table and I commence to picking out the unwanted meat. The next thing I know, here comes the owner , asking rudely what the problem was. I told her and showed her and now she wants to argue with me too. At this point I had enough. I told her to just take the pizza back and bring me my ticket. She begins to yell at me, not to be outdone by the server, who had at this point stepped into this and put her finger in my face. My mind was blown. Who does that????? Acting like this towards a guest???? It was like something out of the Twilight Zone. Needless to say, I'm not going back there. So if you enjoy bad food and yelling servers and owners, this is the place for you.

We visited on Friday evening. Our server was very sweet but wasn't very familiar with the menu. We asked a couple of questions and she had to go to the kitchen both times. It was obvious there was a lack of training. She stated that she was fairly new. I ordered the misto di mare with the red sauce and a side of broccoli. They brought out everyone's dinner except mine, stating that mine had been given to another guest in error. I sat there with no food as everyone else ate. They finally brought mine out and it was in the white sauce. Because I didn't want to wait any longer I agreed to accept that dish and had the server bring me a side of sauce. When the bill came out I was charged 12$ for my dish and 7$ for a side of broccoli. I inquired about the price as I had gotten broccoli before for 2$ as a side. The server asked her boss Rosa and told me that because I had ordered an appetizer as my meal this time and not an entree that the price was correct . There was approx. 1/2 cup of broccoli. I also asked did you let her know that my dinner had been messed up twice? She said yes. It is obvious to me that customer service is not their main concern and disappointing to say the least.
