Root beer floats were good, the service was good but the food and drinks took awhile to come out but that was probably because we were there during a lunch rush. I got the clam strip roll and it was just awful, overcooked so much the clams were hard as a rock and tougher than rubber. But the ice cream was good.

Great food and service at affordable prices. Over 60 (I believe) soft serve ice cream flavors! Burgers are delicious as are the curly fries. Parking is super limited, so if you can walk here that helps. You can get sit down food service at your car or a table. Ice cream window is on the left side of the building as are the restrooms.

Only 1 other table when we got there. The person taking or order didn't seem to know the menu very well and took our drink order. Then neglected to give us cups for the self service station. The sweet tea was out, someone came out to correct that. The Pepsi was also out and when I reported it I got, "yeah, I know, it's been out for hours." Before the staff member wandered off. The ice was refilled with half of it landing on the floor, no effort was made to clean it up. The wet floor sign was already out so there's that... the paper towels in the restroom was also out. Didn't bother reporting it. I don't think we'll be back. Food was ok though.

The waitstaff is overworked, but keep on smiling and working their tails off...I should probably give them a 4 star rating just for making 2 women work like dogs out in the hot sun. Food was great and service was awesome. But management may suck about human rights, from my perspective.

Great little business keeping an old American tradition alive. The food is similar to what you'd get at Sonic's or Denny's, and the root beer floats are great. They still sell the mugs too. Whichever size mug you buy, they give you a mug of root beer (or a float) the same size, and you're given yours in a paper bag to take home. The souvenir mug is nicer than the restaurant ones too.

Literally waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes after I placed our order (just 2 floats). I would of just driven away, but was SO curious to see how long it would actually take for the THREE cars ahead of me to get their orders and drive away. When it was finally our turn at the window they didn't even apologize for the wait.

Food was very good for this style of restaurant. Service was questionable at best. Quite slow to bring menus and wait on a party of 4 guys, about 15 minutes. Once they took our order, food arrived promptly and was hot and very tasty.

It was great to see a Delorean outside! Our server was very helpful, and even went so far as to give us directions to local tourists spots (she brought us a map and drew the route we needed to take)! I had the scallop roll and it was delicious, the scallops were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. Of course the root beer in the chilled glass really hit the spot on such a hot day. We'll definitely be returning.

Wack. The burgers we're no better than burger king or McDonald's for a inflated price. Our soda cup was half filled. Sweet potato fries were limp. And forgot our coleslaw. Servers were really sweet and I like how the price with tax ends up being a nice round number. Wouldn't recommend

I hadn't been to an A&W since I was a child. Except for the service this was a great experience. One of the waitresses greeted us, gave us menus after we had sat and waited for 10 minutes or so and then ignored us. Another waitress finally took our order after taking the order of others seated after us. I would attribute this lack of organization to the level of busyness except that the first waitress explicitly told us how lucky we were to be there when it wasn't as busy as usual. But, the food and drink was great. My cheeseburger and onionrings hot and fresh, the A&W rootbeer served icecold in a mug straight from the freezer. My soft serve ice cream cone was a perfect ending to my meal. And, I love that the restrooms are not only open and available to anyone but were spotlessly clean.

Probably the last of its kind for many, many miles. Fun place to stop by for a quick bite and some great desserts. Only issue is the tables outside are a little dirty and greasy. Understandably, the waitresses are pretty busy to attend to all the families and clean the tables thoroughly, but it should be addressed.

I used to like Long John Silver's but the fish have gotten smaller Quality Foods not as good as it used to be. And for a place that's they claim to make their own root beer that was the nastiest root beer I've ever tasted in my life. I tried to go back several times to give them a chance but the quality of the food is just not there I don't think I'll be back again

I rarely come here because it’s so slow but today i decided to give them another change. It was around 2p so it was not very busy but that didn’t stop th from screwing up my order. They forgot two items on the order. I drove back up to get them made and while there another customer came up to get a refund for his bad food. This place has gone down hill and I don’t see how it is even open anymore. I would not recommend this locating to anyone. Go to cookout next door. It’s must better and faster service.

Usually I look forward to a stop at A&W with the kids during the summer. This trip was a exception. After being told to grab a seat anywere and waiting 20 minutes with no one stoping by to take a order we left. Worst part I tried to grab a waitress's attention and none seemed to notice.

A&W ROOT BEER is great . Only 2 left that I here been to. One here in Lake George,NY. The other on RT 44 in R I. I had a Double Cheese Burger and yes a large mug of ice cool A&W Root Beer. You can even get glasses to take home.

Food is not bad and prices are normal but the service is slow, especially in ice cream stand. Staff works very slowly, a lot of misunderstandings which is sad for a good place. Today I was only customer and needed to wait 10 minutes for icecream. Another time I gave up on waiting in line. Would reccommend to change something about it.

I've been here with friends or family several times. The frosty mug with root beer is the big draw. I add a side of fish and some good conversation with buddies, and it's an hour (and a few bucks) well spent. The 1950's theme and oldies music add to the fun for our informal "Root Beer Summits."
