This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Indian restaurant.
They made it spicy to my liking to perfection.... Definitely better than persis....imo
This place is amazing! It is my favorite spot for Indian food and may be my favorite restaurant is Columbia. The people are always very friendly and very attentive. You'll have to try their buffet but my favorite dish by far is the lamb saag!
Best Indian buffet!
First time we had Indian food. I loved all the curry dishes.
The worse service ever. I strongly suggest not to go there. Diffrent subjee with same gravy. Subjee came one hour before naan. We ordered paneertika but it was burnt. All customers were complaining.
Food was good and they were one of the few places opened late into the evening.
Best Indian food in Columbia. The food consistently tastes delicious and is served in generous portions. I stick with ordering the basics since I crave it!! 4 star butter lamb with an order of garlic nann. Wow! This restaurant continues to be a date night go-to.
This is the best Indian food you'll get in Columbia, SC. I'm knocking off a star because while it's the best you can get in Columbia, you can get far better in Greenville and Charleston. Both the buffet and the menu services are pretty good, but the staff/manager can be very difficult to get a hold of.
Extraordinary menu, the best garlic naan I've ever had. Plentiful entrées. Good service too.
I love this place. Best Indian food in Columbia!
Unassuming place that packs a wallop in terms of taste. Truly the best Indian food I've even tasted. I recommend the lamb and chicken pepper fry. Both dishes are not on the menu but are too die for.
This is a good restaurant to go to. They have really good food and good service. They gave us several recommendations when we asked for them.
I am new to this restaurant but I have been three times in two weeks. The food is awesome. The buffet is good and not too spicy. But since I love spice I order off the menu and use a spice level of three or four which is perfect for me. If you want the buffet, they told me they will explain how to spice it up yourself. I just love this place. It is my new favorite place!
My wife loves this place. Whenever she craves Indian food we come here while in columbia. The flavors are on point, the meats are perfectly cooked, the place is very clean and service is exceptional. I would highly recommend coming here for a meal. You will love it as much as we do.
Best curried chicken hands down, and the tandori was great too
We got in late (2pm), and as such all the good buffet stuff was low or out. Bless them... they were kind enough to make new meals to ensure we we're satisfied even though they were getting ready to close for their afternoon break (they open again at 5:30). Buffet is 11a-2p on weekdays and 11a-3p on weekends .
Food was good and spicy!, just how i like it.
Probably will never go back again. The customer service is horrible. They don’t know how to treat a customer or speak to a customer. The paneer was hard/dry and tasted old and then they made excuses about how it’s supposed to be hard. Then he said why didn’t you send it back... well because not a single time did someone come to my table to check if everything was alright. The owner didn’t have 1 minute to come out and talk to me because he was apparently too busy working in the kitchen. The employees are rude and they have this food runner who thinks he knows everything and everyone else in the world is stupid. They refused to take a single penny off of my bill. This is America, learn to talk and respect your customers before you try to run a business.
I was there with my husband for the first time this week. We were really looking forward toward finally being able to come to this restaurant. We love Indian food. However this restaurant left much to be desired. The food was not hot. Some of the items in the buffet were look warm at best. The food was kind off watery. Every vegetable dish was extremely soupy. The taste of the food was not great. Our stomachs did not like it either it seems. Oh well.
The food was very good. Lots of variety. The waitress was very nice and answered any questions that I had. Food was not too spicy. Very tasty.
Great menu, nice variety excellent service.
New management maintaining food tasty Nd quality.
Good food, good service. Disappointed I was not provided an itemized receipt. I was on a work trip and could have expensed the food, but it was denied because I only had the credit card slip. :(
Had an evening with a group of ladies.
Excellent, I had the Lamb curry with mango lassi.. mmm Delicious. Awesome staff and clean
This was my 1st time visit to 2Gingers. Went for a Wednesday night dinner buffet. To begin with; the ambiance was good but the restaurant staff is too busy to be nice to you and were lost in much of hustle and bustle. Although the buffet menu was extensive; each of the food item failed to meet the satisfactory levels. The veg biryani was too salty; the curries were too bland; the naan container was most of the time empty and when they got it; it was cold and rubbery. The sweet dishes were'nt fresh. In short; the dinner was a disappointment for me and my family.
Chicken 555, lamb rogan jost, tandori chicken, and 3x naan. Best with a power cool. Great food is worth the wait.
Food is excellent, made fresh, and pleasant atmosphere.
My first experience with Indian food and it was a good one. I would recommend this place.
One of the best Indian buffet around. Separate vegetarian buffet. Very good.
Excellent food.... Excellent fast services....
Lovely place. Our first time eating Indian food, very interesting experience. We will definitely be back to try more. We may not have found our favorite item yet, but with so many menu options we're sure to find a great meal. Service was excellent. Can't wait to come back.
I went to lunch buffet. Food was very nice and they had lot of varieties in veg, nonveg and dessert as well. It was completely satisfactory visit!
It was okay. First time trying Indian food. It didn't wow me. It was hot thou. Service was okay. I guess if u like spicy food then this place is it.
I really recommend the dinner menu here. They even let you pick how spicy your dishes are made. Get the kashmiri naan. The lunch buffet it really solid, too. The wait staff is very nice and helpful.
I absolutely love this place. Extremely affordable. Great selection. Cozy environment. A must try.
Wed night is special - a comprehensive buffet plus one of 12 variety of dosa (all for $12.99). I thought the food was excellent. The enthusiastic server who insisted I try their dosa (included free of cost with buffet)made the experience better (I also noticed another server who looked quite tired). My wife ordered Mysore Masala Dosa-- which was good. Seating environment is modest--nothing special there.
Very nice restaurant. Only had 1 bad experience with a young waitress, perhaps she was new and learning her job.
Great food, prices and service. Cannot say the same about the cleanliness of the restaurant.
Giving 3 stars I ordered from Uber eats and got it delivered food arrived without any napkins, fork or spoons. Food was authentic but for a that reason you get 3 stars! Common sense should be applied if it was a delivery it may mean that somebody might be at work and don’t have access to utensils!
Best Indian food in Columbia. The flavors were complex and sophisticated but also like a homey feel good meal. I’m definitely not going anywhere else for Indian in Columbia.
Good food and service.
Amazing. Two trips in 3 days, both just great food. Helpful staff that works together to make sure you have what you need. Will go back soon!
Poor quality of food and service. There are lots of flies...no cleanliness
Food is simply delicious
My boyfriend and I are regulars here. We always receive the best service. We would recommend the Mango chicken dish with the side of rice an garlic Naan bread. Always delicious and perfectly cooked. Best indian cuisine I have had to date.
2 Gingers is great place for Indian food. You will get the best of both South and North Indian food. The staff is good and they explain and recommend about their Menu. I loved it.
A fantastic selection of dishes for the lunch buffet at a stellar price ($11!!!). By far and large the best Indian restaurant I've found in Colombia! Food was flavorful, but not too spicy. Will be trying dishes made to order once I visit again!
Simply it is a Junk Food Do not spend you money in this place. You will eat non fresh food by the end Food quality is so bad and they are just hidding the bad quality using the spices Will never come back again
I went for lunch buffet. Food was below average with some dishes undercooked or with more spices. Biryani was also dry. I could only eat custard. I won't go there again
Good food. They were able to accommodate my severe onion allergy.
Rice pudding - rice wasn't cooked properly; pakora was cold even though they said it was being cooked; goat meat wasn't cooked till tender;
This is a very nice place! The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent as well. Will definitely be returning for another visit insh'allah!
Great authentic food. Nice wait staff. Clean.
Food was amazing. Staff is nice a friendly. Top ten Indian places I've eaten at around the world.
The staff was very helpful. Took time to personally show me which food combinations were meant to pair well with each other. The flavor of the food was on-point. I sampled the buffet on a Tuesday night, the food was fresh and you can tell that high quality ingredients are used in the preparation. This place is a must-taste! I don't usually review restraunts, but felt this little gem was deserving.
Best Indian food I have ever had. The smells when you open the doors are heavenly! I recommend this for lovers of savory foods, spice and also vegetarians!
Always a hit. Great food, fast service, the buffet has awesome selection. If you like spicy, eat here soon.
Dosa night! Next time will try ordering from the menu. Thanks for a great birthday dinner.
The tag line of restaurants “ Authentic Indian cuisine” can’t be any more far from reality. Food lack all taste and all of dish were tasting as they has same curry base. Avoid at all cost if you really want to eat some Indian food. I would rather go to other indian place in the town.
the best indian food yall will find around here. do not sleep on this restaurant.
We order mutton biryani for the second time as first time when we ordered it was good but now second time it’s worst. They have mixed curry gravy & served it as biryani. And the same goes with tandoori chicken . Second time order of tandoori also tastes bad. Totally spoiled our dinner
I don't really rate places but thought this was worth it. The food tasted great. An hour and 15 minutes after we ordered. Under no circumstances do I find that acceptable.
Best authentic Indian food I've had since coming back from India. Hands down my favourite restaurant in Columbia.
The flavorful vegetarian options make me(a meat eater) realistically consider becoming a vegetarian! The complex savory flavors in the vegetarian dishes are like I’ve never experienced before! This restaurant executes every dish with FLAVORFUL PERFECTION! All of the meat incorporated dishes are expertly tender and seasoned by the hands of what I assume to be an Indian grandmother! I can’t rave about the place enough! The Lunch Buffet is a must try for any lover of food!
Very good Food. Friendly Staff.
This food is just barely passable. For a really good Indian buffet try Delhi Palace.
Absolutely the worst service I've ever received in any establishment. I'm sitting here inside the place wondering why I didn't go with my first mind to get up and walk out. We were damn near treated like we were invisible. Work on your customer service please.
Probably the best Indian food in Columbia! Me and my wife love going here on dates, and always enjoy the food. The only reason for 4 stars, was the service speed. It seems like they are getting more customers, and need to hire more staff. Our drinks ran dry 2 or 3 times throughout the meal, and I had to go up front to get a box for myself and get the check. But, you can't argue with that wonderful taste!
The food was quite good. The staff, however, I would describe as "stiff". Communication was very minimal and straight-to-the-point, which some people may prefer. Also, the setting, while comfortable, isn't what I would describe as "warm". Also also, as someone who knows nothing about Indian food, more in-depth descriptions of the items on the menu, and perhaps even pictures, would've been great.
It's okay. I went for dinner. Extensive menu. The high point was the mango lassi, a fantastic yogurt drink that they do very well here.
Excellent Food! We had some egg curry and Dal Fry and some Naan. It was delicious and I highly reccomend it. The chef came out to ask us how was the food and asked for an honest review. Me and my uncle really enjoyed the food and service.
The food
We had to wait a long time for service but the food was great
Service is good. Food can be improved little. Overall okay
Staff is very good and welcome food was amazing testy!! Really I love them chicken and goat meet food it’s yummy
Great place for lunch, was busy which is a good sign. I had my share of plates from the lunch buffet, which was really great. Even though I came in towards the end of lunch, all of the food was very warm. I have had several people recommend this place for years, finally happy I decided to pay it a visit.
Love the food, the music and the workers are fabulous! So Yum!
Food was ok but seems like the manager was a biased.. He was more tending to his Guji people than anyone. When a request to fill the mango icecream was made, he got rude and said the kitchen is closed but he kept tending to his guji people. Not fair. Very biased and discrimated.
Best Indian food in Columbia! I love the buffet❤️
Food was fantastic, quality was exceptional. Customer service was amazing. New management have stepped up service and quality all round. Great selection on both meat and vegetables on buffet. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Would reccomend to come by and try. Definitely best indian food.
I take a break from work and eat Indian food for lunch. I love it and with near 3 Indian restaurants. Lately, 2Gingers has become my favorite. Not only have they remodeled the restaurant but they have added many raw, fresh, healthy foods to their lunch buffet. I start each meal with a fresh salad and fresh fruit. I like that I can get those healthy foods in during my lunch and still enjoy fabulous Indian food.
Home made curry goat!!:-)
Best Indian Lunch buffet in SC! They have vegan and non-vegan options. The staff is friendly. Plenty of parking spaces and seating options. My Indian friend recommended this place and I have been hooked ever since! It's not the best in the planet, but good enough for the price for SC.
Outstanding buffet. Not too crowded, and excellent food. Good for vegetarians. They have entrees, desserts, and naan bread. This would be good for groups and families. Easy parking outside in the parking lot, and easy to get into from the street.
There is literally no service here. I waited a few minutes for the hostess to even acknowledge me. She was also the phone receptionist, and was taking a to-go order. I was finally showed to a table where I waited for about 10 minutes before a passing busboy gave me some warm water and that was the only service I got! I helped myself to the buffet and then had to wait again to pay, as no one was at the counter. I told them that I never got offered any fountain drinks, and they said that all they had was water. I've never seen a restaurant that only served water! The meat dishes had way too many bones in them. Someone's going to break a tooth one day chomping down on a bone. This place has potential, but also a long way to go to be top notch. Service is totally expected in the restaurant business, but is non-existent here.
A place where both vegitarians and meat-eaters can have a delicious, healthy meal. Excellent service and tasty dishes. Mmmm.
The food is great. The service isn't. They are slow and inattentive. Recently my wife and I waited over an hour after ordering and still didn't get any food--and this was after we had already waiting about 25 minutes to even be able to place our order. Then we had to flag down a server to try and find out what was up. Apparently our order didn't get printed out in the kitchen...but our server didn't think it was unusual that people who had arrived after us had finished eating and were on their way out and we still hadn't gotten anything? We were fed up and hungry, so we went next door to Chic-fil-A and our food came out before we even made it to our table. That was our worst experience, but if you go for dinner, you can usually expect to wait around for a while wondering what's going on. Stick to the buffet and you won't be disappointed.
The service was worst i have seen in sometime.I ordered carry out and was told the wait time is around 20 -25 mins. Guess what I had my order completed after 1 hr and 25 mins. I was told all my items were packed. Checked and I was missing an order. Then another 30 mins later no update, I asked for a cancellation and then the order i was missing was cancelled. Horrible experience.
Great food... Love this place and persis up the road too..
Always delicious! Love the staff and food is amazing!
Always delicious. The staff is always efficient and kind as well. I love eating here. The paneer tikka masala is my favorite.
Unusual and hot my Kind of place
Fantastic place to get authentic Indian cuisine. Their menu is huge, and offers a lot of options for vegetarians.
Solid. Quality is very good. I'm happy they have a pm buffet. Staff is super nice too!
The food is always fresh!! The buffet items are always piping hot and I like almost every item on it!! It’s always packed there, so parking could be tricky. I have loved this place for years and it’s the only Indian food I will eat!!!
Really enjoyed myself awesome atmosphere, fresh food
One of my go-to restaurants. Love it
Great selection of Indian food.
Have eaten here multiple times and every time it has been amazing! They have a large selection of vegan options (especially for a restaurant in the Columbia area, in my opinion). Hot, fresh food and amazing service every time makes me want to go back as much as possible! Haven't tried their lunch buffet, but if it's anything like their regular, menu/order-based dinner it is most definitely worth it!
Awesome place for fresh and delicious Indian food. I dine here every time I visit Columbia.
Delicious loads of flavor. Lot of heavy food. Balanced with pretty light desserts. Definitely worth 11-14$ even a herbal digestive treat as you leave the place :)
Everything was great. The food was some of the best I’ve had. The service was great. I highly recommend it.
Really delicious. Great service
First time visiting but won't be my last time. Food was VERY delicious and the waiter was extremely knowledgeable and recommended some taste dishes.
Some of the best Indian food in Columbia. The paneer (cheese cube curry) is so good, your mouth will shake your hand in thanks!
The best buffet-style Indian restaurant in the area with plenty of traditional food options to choose from. I grew up eating Indian food, and I noticed that there was a lack of diversity in the types of dishes they serve, but that doesn't mean I won't come back again.
Went for buffet.. Had good options for vegetarians too.. Medu vada with sambhar was too good.. If you want to taste authentic south indian dishes then this is one of the best!
I find myself absolutely craving this delicious spot multiple times a week. I can’t comment on the dine in experience because I only order take out... but who doesn’t love quick app ordering and DELICIOUS Indian food to consume on your own couch!
Waste of money Never go in this restaurant , no service, no tast at all Very bad experience... “””””top # 1 WORSE INDIAN RESTAURANT “””””
Indian food with variety! Loved it
Authentic Indian food and it's delicious.
Best Indian buffet in Columbia.
Based on food quality, it is an average oe below average restaurant. Service was good.
Decent Indian / Desi restaurant/ standard buffet and food made when ordered is always better. Good portions for the price paid
Good Indian restaurant in Columbia. I've only had the lunch buffet and it's good. It's really easy to overeat because the food is that good. My only complaint is that sometimes they don't replenish some of the items on the buffet quickly. Other than that, I highly recommend.
Best Indian food ever. Try the lamb or chicken pepper fry. Neither is on the menu but it has to be some of most delicious food I've ever tried.
They have a really good food but the service is really bad. I went there more than 7 times because my friends want to eat there but I hate the way of serving by some staff
I love Indian cuisine and I am extremely happy with the variety of dishes here. They always have friendly, prompt and Amazing service!!!
Great food, friendly staff
Food is good, wish the one who waited on me spoke English, 2:15 could only get carry out, very expressive for a senior, didn't get a lot, but tasted good...
For East Indian food, okay.
Not a pleasant experience, food was below average. Lot of options but not worth. Dal was too salty, who serves cold gulab jamun, dry Naan.
Great fresh food. The mgr was on the floor talking to people explaining things which was awesome CS. Can’t wait to do the Wednesday special
Had the worst experience at this restaurant. We had to wait 30 mins for them to bring more food to the buffet. I asked a few times and every time I was told just few more mins and they will refil it. And when the food came out it was cold. The taste was not worth it. They also had a waitress there with short brown hair who seemed and sounded rude especially when I asked how much longer it would take to bring the food out. Long story short if you want good Indian food there are far better restaurants in the area. Even the food we ordered off the menu tasted terrible. I usually don’t bother to do reviews but it was so horrible this review was needed.
Everything was good.. though price for weekend buffet was on the high side. I am not sure its worth for vegeterians who obviously have only half the options.
Love the food, though i wish there was a menu option, too, rather than JUST the buffet. Tables too close together, but professional staff. Nice place to go if you want a fresh taste of something new.
The food is really good and Jose was the best!!! Definitely recommend trying at least once
It's fine. Were rushed out at the end of the buffet time. Not too cool. But the food is decent.
Ranjeev took great care of us! Food was amazing. Our favorite was the 2Ginger Curry.
It's okay to eat. It's a buffet what can you expect. The workers are very nice and helpful. Not bad on the price. It's only 3 stars because I've tasted better indian food, but once again it's a buffet what could you expect.
Not as good as the last visit, service not up to standards
Delicious food and everyone was very friendly, even when my young daughter was DONE.
Really like the food, and the owners are great. The only complaint is how inconsistent they are with the spice level. I order a medium (level 3) every time, and sometimes it's great, the next time it melts you're face, and the next you're having to add stuff afterwards. But still, one of my family's favorite places to eat.
The best Mediterranean/Indian food in the area.
I’ve ordered to go at this restaurant before and it was amazing so my boyfriend and I went for dinner on our anniversary and it completely disappointed. No definitive waitress, meals brought out at different times, mango lassi’s were warm and tasted like cheese, the Poori was super greasy and hard, the chicken tikka masala was sweet not savory, no one checked in after we received our meal, and they never even gave us more water. Oh and my boyfriend couldn’t even finish his meal before going outside to throw up by their dumpster. All in all if you want to waste $50 and have your stomach hate you, go here.
Fast and indian test
Always enjoy eating here. I live a ketogenic lifestyle and I can make it work here and enjoy some really good food.
Delicious food at very reasonable prices compared to other Indian restaurants. Their portions are well served too. The Only wish their speed was a little bit faster and streamlined so that you don't have to wait for food for long periods of time or wait for the entree for a good amount of time after your done with your appetizers.
Food was good and I like that the portion was just right, customer service could be better. It wasn’t many customers but everything seemed to take so long.
Better food and very good service.
Amazing! The Keema Naan is to die for. Highly recommended with great service.
Need improvement in food quality
They're very delicious, I went there once and the food was amazing. Great flavor and presentation. The employees there are very kind and make sure your satisfied.
Loved the food. What an extensive menu and we loved everything we ordered. We went mainly for south indian and it was fanatastic. A jewel in the south.
Authentic, spicy preference, and DELICIOUS! Good portions and good value
Great place for Indian lunch buffet.
Usually really good food but today many of the buffet selections were way too spicy. Home with stomach issues as I type this. Service wasn't very good. Sorry because you have been one of my favorite restaurants. No more.
