So good! Such a wide variety of different food options and each one just as good as the next. Portions are huge, even the half portion is big but it makes for some awesome leftovers. Hubby hates left overs but he'll eat Twin Oaks leftovers anyday!!

I love how old school it feels. Including the rough around the edges non politically correct hosts and their rag tag bunch of teenage boys. You literally can't find a restaurant still operating like this anywhere else.

Don't bother reading their menu online. It's very old. I dont know why they leave it like that. Double the price when u get there. Some 3x more. Im sure their food is still great tho. We didn't eat. Thought they had prime rib on Saturday.

I know it's a Rhode Island icon, but in the 4 times I've been there, I've never been impressed with the food. It's not bad, but overpriced in my opinion. The service is good, but overall, in my experience, it's too noisy and crowded, and the food isn't that great to warrant the fuss. Now I shall hide from the lynch mob who will hate me for this ;)

BEST SHRIMP COCKTAIL EVER. PERIOD. Once you get shrimp cocktail from Twin Oaks you'll always be left disappointed when you order it elsewhere. Every thing on the menu is great, comforting, & delicious. Their cocktails are awesome too.

One of the worst meals ever. The ratings are terrible on all the review sites. Anyone who says the food is great probably lost their tastebuds and don’t have any idea what good food should taste like. The meatballs are we’re not edible. Hard as a rock. Send them to Fenway Park for baseballs. This place used to be great until the original owner passed. The chef ( using that term lightly ) has NO IDEA how to cook. He will run this place into the ground. Don’t think because they have been around for a long time that they can’t fail. Instant mashed potatoes. You can get those at KFC. Our service was good but there’s a lot of complaints about rude waiters. They used to have long wait times. We got a table right away on a Friday night. Shows how much businesses had gone down since the early days. The owners better read some of the reviews before it’s too late. I will never go back and have Fenway park baseballs served for food.

Lovely location. Friendly host and staff. I ordered the crispy duck and it was simply delicious. If you have money to spend for a couple of dishes, then its worth the visit. I give it three stars only due to two downsides: 1- very expensive and I do not see the reason for that. Humm maybe the location!? 2- The menu does not offer many food variaties. Limited.

The food taste good but it was cold. My waiter didn't come over till we were almost done and asked if everything was okay. At that point we didn't bother to ask for our dinner to be warned up. Again the food tastes good, it was just cold.

I was very disappointed tonight with the food quality,I ordered a fillet mignon 12oz and asked for it to be cooked Medium Rare and the chef burns the fillet mignon apparently he doesn't know how to serve quality food... I love this place but knowing the chef they have on board I won't be coming back... but I have to say my waiter had excellent customer service...what made twin oaks the best around since I was a kid because I been going here since I was a child and it was always a great high quality food that made me and my family and friends always want to come back but tonight I missed that...

1st of all, I just wanna say that the 1st server I had was pleasant to work with. He listened to everything we had to say, I have been frequenting this establishment for about 20 yrs or so, Last nite was the worst ever!!! 2nd We order appetizer came out great, not saying anything bad about the food its the service that really sucked last nite. The Server we had at first was so pleasant and kind and made us laugh. Now lets get back to the way the 2nd server treated us, My lady was celebrating her bday last nite and I wanted it to be a special nite for her, first dinner then maybe a lil dancing. So we order the entrees, she had the lobster tails and asked for real melted butter on the side. They came out with the lobster tails drenched in Butter and she is the kind of woman that will just take it anyway, but me im not so soft, I sent that food back, now its my turn. I ordered the Rack of Lamb roasted potatoes and sauteed spinach. I got the most Raw under cooked rack of lamb I ever seen, I was eating straight flesh... Disgusting!! I sent that back, and mind you I had the spinach not even touched, and the potatoes we both tasted a few. So I tell them I would like it to be medium well please, it comes back but now we both have a bad taste in our mouth, they never even put my spinach back on the plate, and the 2nd server starts to bad mouth the 1st server which was a total turn off! So now I dont even wanna eat there and were about to tell them give us 2 boxes to go please. There was another party next to us that was celebrating a older womans bday also. Here comes the worst part of the nite, you think this was bad so far? Yeah allright here comes the anchor! So a group of guys come out and start to sing happy bday, with a lil dish with a candle in it, we pay it no mind, but what bothered me was when I started to record, one of the kids was like he didnt wanna sing it on camera, this is someones bday, and you dont wanna sing? Continues to put his hand in his pockets and hides behind other coworkers.. no worries, they sang and left, so i said to my lady, they forgot my spinach, and she says look, they gave me a f***ing bowl of whip creme and a candle!! Now thats not it, so were gathering the bill together and the server comes rushing and says ill take that.. I said not yet.. he walks away and we gather our things and i leave a 2% tip, and thats only because of the 1st server!! I was so bothered by the service here, I will not be returning here ever again, and I didnt like the fact the lady had so much cake next to us...lol... I hope you are reading this and find a way to make your establishment a better place to enjoy a bday celebration!! P.S. Hire some woman servers they are sometimes more pleasant to work with!!

There is a reason Twin Oaks has been in business for so many years. The old style decor and candle light ambiance is just part of why this restaurant is so good. The servers are prompt, attentive and friendly. And the food goes without saying, but it's excellent and there is a lot to choose from.

O'my if you come to R.I. you need to Visit Twin Oaks. All male waiter which is the tradition here . The food is definitely Italian as well American. The waiter never use a pad. The portions are more than generous. They do not take reservations unless your a large party. A RI icon in the food business still family own. Expect a wait but that some of their charm. You never know who you will meet. Also, they closed on Mondays that's another tradition in R.I. Everyone needs a brake too. Also usually order day for the week. Located in Cranston , RI off Reservoir Ave. Use your phone map. They are located @ the end of residential neighborhood. Situated on a pond or lake. Good luck oh cocktails are very reasonable. My friends drink was $6.00 and a glass of wine starts around $7.50 by the glass. As they say in Italian Mongia and welcome to our home.

So, been going here 40yrs. House salad still amazing! Wanted chicken parmigiana. Menu had chicken parm and for a few dollars more fresh chicken cutlets with buffalo mozzarella and their own red sauce. Hmmmm. What's the difference? Asked the waiter. Yeah, okay. So he was pretty vague. Supposedly the fresh chicken cutlets are fresh and pounded thin. Sounds good. Not. First time out of the kitchen, thick and raw in the middle. Could tell they were not fresh Second time out of the kitchen thick,watery and greasy. Bottom line, order something else.
