It's ok. Food was good, but - burger was over cooked - ordered two medium rare, got two medium well. It was still a very tasty burger. Also ordered the fish and chips. Better value at Flo's for this. Chowder was good.

There is only street parking available. This place has a neat atmosphere. The food is alright, but it is not tavern food. The food is quite pricey. My friend ordered a shrimp cocktail and he only got 1 shrimp, and he had to be explained that they charge $2.75 per shrimp. So it is pricey food in a tavern setting.

Popped in today with my guys for Sunday Brunch. We were greeted by a very cute young girl. The restaurant was fully occupied, still we managed to get 4 seats. All waitress were taking orders from other tables but nobody came to take our order after being sitting there for 25 mins. A family came after us and the waitress took their order first and also served their order but nobody cared to ask us for even drinks. When I told that young girl that we are ready with out drinks and food order. She went inside but didn't cared to tell us afterwards that what's happening ? Whether somebody is coming or not. At the end, we left the restaurant without giving any order. Pathetic experience.

Lobster bisque was awful!! It was brown and tasted nothing like lobster. Quesadillas had over powerful flavor of thia seasoning . Shrimp Mozambique, sauce was good along with the naan bread but didnt flavor the shrimp. Burger was good, hot pastrami was good. I would just say be selective with what you order. Beer was ok.

Active restaurant and bar. Lunch and evening menus are both great. Reasonably priced foods and drinks. Staff constantly asked if service was needed, which was great even during the busy evening I was there. Plenty drinks to chose from as well. Staff did add erroneous drinks to a friend's tab, which was fixed. When asked why they were added, they stated "the other bar tender told me to add it." Call that what you want. I will be going back because of the service and food. I hope not to run across that issue again because the establishment was outstanding.

Food was not worth the price paid. Kitchen staff forgot to put cheese on my wifes salad my wife said something and our server said oh yeah. There was one strawberry that was over ripe and paid additional 2 dollars for a little bit of chicken. I got the bbq sandwich which by all means was not worth 14 dollars.

We had a great lunch at Tavern today! One of our vendors hosted a lunch and learn so there were at least 20 of us. Service was fast and friendly and the food was great! I had a large salad with salmon, others had a yummy Fish and Chips, Burgers, or a roasted vegetable panini. A nice experience on a blustery rainy day.

Had an amazing appetizer that was very unique with smoked chicken, Brussels sprout leaves, corn bread and a poached egg. Sounds odd, but was delicious! The lamb burger was wonderful as well. The food and service were both great! Highly recommend this place!

Food is terrible and the service is even worsehe owner is a drunk and harasses the clientle and employees, even has is documented. I saw him yelling at an employee in front of the whole restaurant in November, such poor taste for what is supposed to be a classy spot.

Clean place! I visited on a Monday with minimal business. For what it was worth I wasn’t blown away by the service. Besides the two other people in my party and myself I think their were total of 3 occupied tables in the place. Waiter forgot a beer order after brining two cocktails to my table. The food was great! Enjoyed the fig pizza and wing deal.

Fun atmosphere when we stopped in on a Saturday mid morning to get our oyster crawl started. Great raw bar setup and staff was very engaging. Big windows brought a lot of light into the space, which was nice to have a bright bar to drink at on a Saturday morning.

The BEST oysters! Dutchies and Duxbury were offered the evening I went. Both were incredible, deep cups, medium size, fresh and ice cold. BEST in Newport. And the shucker...8 seconds per oyster. He is a beast! Side of a dozen garlic wings. Cold local Whalers beer. What more could one want on a cold winter night.

I had the burger. The barn is done perfectly. The cheese was exotic but not anything you only have once I'll definitely go back for this meal. But the next time I go I want to try the pulled pork. I hear it's one of his things. The chef that is. I got a rewards card but to be honest I don't go to this bar often it's not a young seen I mean it is a young scene and sometimes I feel not as cozy as I wish I could be but the food was damn good and the bartender nice

Overall great place. Tried the clam chowder, very good. My mom had their watermelon cold soup, she loved it. Calamari has a great Thai flavor and the the shrimp Mozambique was amazing! Ordered the Cuban sandwich, smelled amazing but was so full of the rest of the food. Great local food deals all week, 4-6pm half appetizer, Wednesday 5pm $1 oysters. Such a great place and not packed! Staff is super friendly.

This isn't a great place for vegetarians, or people who like good service. Our waitress disappeared for about 20 minutes to flirt with the bartender. The rice and beans were quite bland, and the Asian chopped salad was really just a large bowl of glorified coleslaw. My friends had the french dip says it was just average.

Could have been an off night, it happens... I will give them another shot and update later 3 of us arrived and only wanted drinks, they were kind enough to grab a extra chair for the hightop. The server disappears and a second server dropped off menus. It was a good 10 minutes before a server showed back up to the table. We ordered and it was another 5 minutes before a different server walked over to ask if we were ready to order. We finally received our drinks. Our server walked by several times without any interaction. Long story short, the bartender actually picked up my empty glass... The place looks great, food looked good - I will at least give them another try.

A wonderful pub menu with a huge selection of beers on tap and by the bottle. I had a wonderful local porter. The classic house burger and the lobster roll were what we sampled and both were great, tasty and ample. We were there not at peak time, but there still were a lot of customers, so reservations might be a good idea. We ate outside, which was dog friendly.

This place is perfection! We went here because the corner cafe was too busy and jammed with people. Boy am I glad we did! We went on Sunday 5.31.15 the weather was a cool 72 so the wondows were open so we got a window seat. Ally, the waitress, was fantastic and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The decor and music could NOT be beat. The owner even came out to check on us! I would go back in a heartbeat! You CANNOT go wrong by choosing this for food OR drinks!
