I have an absolute love for Thai food so I always seek out these restaurants in new towns. This place was delicious, it seems that you can find quite a few great places like this all over the northeast. Naturally I am almost always going for curry, today was the red curry with eggplant. Fantastic rich flavors galore. Cute place, very clean, fast and friendly service. I absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Good food. I didn't find many options on the menu that looked good to me but the curry I ordered was wonderful. The main reason for the low rating was service. It took almost 10 minutes to get water and have them take our order. The food came quickly but then after that it took a long time to get someone's attention to ask after the restroom and get the check.

Thai Cuisine is a nice small restaurant with good food but spotty service. Not bad, but not as consistent as I'd like. But is is small and I think family run, so depending on who is there serving that day, you may get a pleasant smile, or none at all. Anyway, the food is consistently delicious. I'm not a Thai expert and not super adventurous, but the usual dishes taste good to me. The prices are in line with this type of place, not rock bottom Asian, but not pricey. If you're looking for decent Thai food while in Newport, give this place a try.

Fish Cake App FANTASTIC!!! Watch out for green curry, very very spicy without warning. I like spicy foods, but I couldn't even finish this. Wish I had a Chang beer to cool down, but they were out both times I ate here. Tofu dishes were decent, nothing special. Tables need to be fixed or replaced. Otherwise place is decent. I love thai food, so I'll put up with a lot to enjoy it.

Had delivery from here today, chicken tasted old Besides ordered the Chicken Panaang mildly spicy ( on a scale from 1-4 I ordered it to be 1) and they ignored it, was spicy as hell. Never going to order from here again. I'll stay with Bangkok City.

Ordered the shrimp pad see ew lunch combo, and it was great. About $13 for entree, soup, salad, and 2 pieces of crab rangoon. Everything was great. The shrimp was very fresh- no fishy taste. And it was equal part noodles and veggies. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again. Restaurant is fairly clean with a good bit of seating while you wait or dine in. Ordered to-go and it was ready within 12 minutes. Note there's a $15 minimum if you plan to pay via card. There are a couple of free parking spots right in front of the restaurant if you go on a weekday during the off-season.

We loved the food here and being a vegan they were very accommodative to making my pineapple curry without any fish or oyster sauce. The other dish we ordered was drunken noodles and the spice was perfect. It was post lunch when we came here and there was hardly any crowd. The place is well maintained and staff are friendly.

Okay Thai food but a little too much sugar and alot of green and red pepper. Calamari was tender and crispy. Mussels were a bit over cooked and not that flavourful in a fair tasting water based broth, which would be much better with less water and some cream of coconut. Just didn't seem as good as my past visits.

This quick review is in regards to a delivery: Pros: Whomever answered the phone made the ordering simple. Delivery was quick...about half the estimated 1 hour. Cons: Overpriced...over $30.00 for a rice with shrimp, side of fried wontons, and a small soup. All of the food was very bland and needed additional condiments...actually worst impression of Thai food I have had. No condiments were given with the order. The delivery person just left the bag on the door...glad for this one actually because I would have been a bit upset if a tip was given. Do yourself a favor and just order from a local chinese spot if ordering delivery.

I work five minutes away, so it's an incredibly convenient place for me to get lunch. Fortunately, this place has easily become my favorite restaurant. The drunken noodles are incredible, and the curry is a close second place. The interior is nice and the staff are all great people. I would eat here every day if I could. But really, get the drunken noodles.

Expensive for low to mediocre quality food. Visiting from Baltimore where there is just about every kind of authentic food out there including great Thai food. This was listless with seemingly little to no authentic Thai flavor. Look elsewhere.

New Owners!! Delicious Thai. We had the Duck Choo Chee and the Coconut Shrimp with Pineapple Honey Mustard Sauce and Thai Iced Teas. The new owners were very friendly and talking to everyone. Note: if you are worried about spiciness, gluten options, or vegetarian options just let them know and they can accommodate your preferences. Next time I will get it a little less spicy for me and keep it normal for the hubby

I have had it delivered multiple times to multiple places and it has exceeded my expectations. I had the spicy wings, chicken pad Thai, and the beef drunken noodles. All three dished were outstanding. The only reason I keep getting take out is because the food Is delicious.

I've been a huge fan of getting delivery from this place for the last year and a half. However, yesterday, I come here to dine in for lunch for the first time and had a completely different experience. My wife and I walk in to a restaurant with only one other table of customers. The host/waitress yells across the restaurant that we can sit wherever we like. We then sit for 5 minutes without ever getting greeted, getting menus, or getting drink orders. We eventually leave, because if I can't even get a menu, how long will it take for me to get my food? I hate to say it, but I probably won't go back, even though I love the food.

Food delicious. Service was less than stellar. Slow and not very welcoming. Arrived first customers of the day and were barely greeted. She actually just unlocked the door and left it ajar in our face instead of holding it open. She then took 2 phone orders before we were even given water. She never checked on us or cleared plates. She didnt talk to us much at all. We were the only customers...another 2 customers came in while we were there and she was just as cool toward them. Maybe she was in a bad mood but it spoiled the experience. Food was tasty and different from most Thai restaurant offerings where we are from.

The best I can say about this restaurant is that it delivers. Unlike the many other Thai restaurants I have visited, over the years, the food here is oily and minimally seasoned, and the vegetables are soggily overcooked. Better quality dishes, by far, are available just a few miles away in two Middletown restaurants. After three attempts, I say, "No thanks."

Pardon me if it's a cultural thing but the waiters and the service providers can attempt a smile once a while. Great place for Thai cuisine and for groups or individuals to dine at.

First off, the food is good. In fact, it is the best Thai food on the island. That is the nicest thing you will read from here on out. My wife and I, along with friends and family have eaten here on a few occasions. This evening was the last time. The service is consistently horrible! The waitresses are rude. It took over twenty minutes for them (yes, there was more than one waitress that ignored us throughout the evening) to take our order/check on us. At one point, I contemplated calling in an order, picking it up at the till, and sitting down to eat it...just to make a point. One of the waitresses on two occasions, walked away from the table when we were still placing our order for appetizers and the main course. Needless to say, they messed up both. They do not care one bit about the customers that come into the restaurant. It is safe to say that they make most of their money from take out orders. I can say this with absolute certainty because I have eaten there a few times and have seen the take-out orders stacked on a table. I could go on and on about the reasons I am so disgusted in the service, but nobody is interested in hearing the ramblings of a disgruntled customer. I will leave you with this thought: After this evenings stellar performance by the waiting staff, they had the audacity to add an 18% gratuity (AFTER TAX) to our party of four's tab. Had I not been concerned about ruining everyone else in the restaurant's dining experience, I would have given the waiting staff and manager a piece of my mind. Hopefully, this review will discourage some people from eating there. That, oh that, would be sweet justice to me.

The prices are pretty reasonable, especially for the area we were in. I had a basil chilli sauce mixed with seafood and vegetables. You can order your food with a spiciness of 1 to 5 "chilis". I got a 4 and it was pretty spicy. I like spicy things but still want to be able to taste the other flavors in my food. Four (4) "chilis" might have been a little more than I would've preferred but the food was good. The seafood was all cooked properly (i.e not overdone but not undercooked). The squid was a bit chewy, but I have yet to find a place where it's not chewy. I can only assume that it is just the texture of it cooked. The vegetables were still quite crunchy. Some people don't like it when their cooked vegetables are this raw. Most Asian restaurants do do this. So if you are accustomed to your veggies having some crunch in them, I would say this place has a bit more of a crunch factor than normal. I like it that way, so I was very happy. The waitress was very attentive: brought us water with lemon without prompt, and refilled our glasses without us having to call over or wait, and considering how often I was chugging my water down I was impressed how often she came over without even having to look for her. If you enjoy Thai food, or just healthy Asian food, you can't go wrong here, especially if you are on a budget.

Loved this place for years. However I had an Absolutely debilitating 48 hours after eating here. I don’t think it was food poisoning I think it was plain poisoning. I remember the exact dish where it hit me. Specifically five minutes after a complaint to the server who is one of the rudest I’ve ever had a Newport. Shame. Also I wasn’t the only one in the party to experience this, furthermore I’m now hearing there is a history here.

Food was OK. 1/3. Decor is fair, except that two flies were around the table all the time. 0/3. Service is terrible. 0/3. I ordered a soda with refill. At the first time, the waitress brought me a cup of ice and a bottle of Sprite. But when I asked for the refill after I finished the first bottle (it was really hot and humid) and asked her for the refill, she brought me a cup of iced soda, not a bottled Sprite. I tried the soda, it was tap water with some Sprite added! And it might be someone's leftover. That was so cheap and disgusting! Avoid this place at all cost.

We are NEVER ordering from this place again! Over 3 times I have called and asked if they will deliver to Portsmouth and when I call back a couple minutes later to order, literally five minutes later, they can't deliver. The first time, I was annoyed. The second my husband said to not order from there again and this last time was the icing on the cake. I do not understand how they can say it was because the delivery guy called in sick, 3 times. If delivery starts at 5, shouldn't they know by 5 that their delivery guy isn't coming? Come on! We live less than 5 minutes from Middletown. This place is beyond ridiculous! The service inside the restaurant isn't much better. The food is really good, but we will never order from this place again and I hope no one will have to endure what we did from this place.

Atrocious service. The staff has asked to change seats several times. The tables were wet and everything smelled like Windex. We made an order and it was messed up. We tried getting their attention and no result. Ended up walking up to the waitress who has dismissed our request stating that Pellegrino is the same thing as Perrier. In addition, the lady who was folding napkins with silverware kept wiping her nose and then carrying on with folding napkins. Very unsanitary. Didn't even bother with trying the food.

18% gratuity was added automatically to our lunch bill...yes, we did see the warning on their menu but it says "could be added". Not once did the waitress come by to ask how everything was, and yet they think they deserve 18%??? Worst chicken satay we ever had, it was rubbery. Our main dishes came with chicken, which was really not cooked well enough. Out of everything we ordered, only the fried wontons and thai iced coffee were acceptable. Definately has gone dowhill since the last time we went there in 2010/11.

Giving 3 stars since food is good but the service is very slow. There is a chance you might arrive at this place and keep standing for 10 mins as no one will be at the front desk. This happened to me couple times. I keep coming back for chilli chilli fish but get disappointed when I just have to keep waiting.

So freaking good! I eat Thai food regularly and this place is in my top 3 of all time. I went in expecting the same old average menu. This place has dishes I've never seen before. We got mango fresh rolls and the shrimp Saigon noodles. The noodles seemed homemade and were so flavorful and perfectly pan seared. A good balance between authentic and Americanized. If you like Thai food you'll find this place to be refreshingly creative and absolutely delicious.

Food was okay, but the service was bad. We had to ask and wait for plates, after they brought the appetizers and entrees. Also, they automatically put an 18% "service charge" in addition to all the taxes, and still expect a tip with the bad service that they provide. On a positive note, the serving portions are HUGE. There is free refill for iced tea and iced coffee, one thing I did not find in any Thai restaurant. You can try this place if you just want good food and don't mind the service.

Used to go here at least once a week when I lived within walking distance. My husband and I went a couple of months ago and it has gone downhill, both in the quality of the food, the cleanliness and the service. Then we went again later to give it a second chance and it was worse. I suspect that it is not the same owners as when I used to go in 2013.

Never disappoints. Food is fantastic and delivery is generally pretty fast. However, if you can't wait to eat and they tell you a long delivery wait you can get the food in a fraction of the time if you pick it up.
