Shady Acres.. a family fave. Good food, good menu, good prices. Not anymore. My son and his grandmother went there yesterday. His favorite place to eat. He loves his chicken fingers and fries and his chocolate explosion for desert. When they got there, during conversation with the waitress, they were told the place is under new ownership. Big changes, too. Much smaller menu, smaller portions and bigger prices. Not sure of the quality of food, but these 3 things don't sound good. Shady Acres has been around forEVER. Always a place for the locals to hit, and not-so-locals, too. With the current changes they've made, I'm sure it won't be around much longer. I know I won't be going back anytime soon. My son and Gramma are going to try it, again, in a couple months to see if they backtrack on their changes. Hopefully they will. Would hate to see another local long-time establishment close due to greed.

The food is good the prices are right a little bit above average. Staff is friendly in this country style restaurant. Recently I had their hotdogs and beans it was a good barbecue Bean and the hot dogs with saugies.

Amazing experience. Even though we got there close to closing the waitress was in such good spirits. We decided to do breakfast for dinner and the food was amazing. The eggs Benedict was the best I’ve had in a long time.

Wife and I were on a motorcycle ride and stopped in for lunch. What a treat. Great old time diner atmosphere and hearty comfort food lunch offerings. Wife commented on how nice a friendly the waitress was. So happy we found this place. Not many like it still around. We'll be back ,for sure. Thank you Shady Acres.

Our family was driving through on a trip to the Northeast from Tennessee. The service was excellent with a friendly server and the food was great. It was well worth the stop on our first time in Rhode Island.

Nice quaint diner. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Service can sometimes be slow and forget some items. They are accommodating and helpful. My friends and I stopped there while on the North South Trail and it was exactly what we needed. The diner is directly on the path.

The food reminded me of eating on base in a military chow hall. Now with that said, I like chow hall food, and I gained 50 pounds in 6 years eating in the military chow halls. The $$ was about right and the atmosphere was 1970 dinner. All And all I will go back.

Our first and last visit. Not impressed. The overpriced omlete $6.00 for a two egg ham and cheese with toast, no home fries. The home fries we got did not seem like they were cleaned well since they tasted like dirt. The omletes looked like scrambled eggs with a lump of ham in it and cheese on top. My wife's English muffin was placed on top of the cheese so it stuck to the whole bottom of it. If they care so little about what the present to their customers I would hate to see the condition of the kitchen we don't see.

A little pricey for a very small omelette charged xtea for the cheese, extra for ham!!, 22.00 for the 2 of us. I will have to stick to our local breakfast spots where we get great portions, eggceptional quality and exceptional service!

I go here for breakfast at least one a week. The veggie omelet is great, so are the pancakes and the steak and eggs, but I absolutely love the Greek Eggs Benedict. Great, no-nonsense diner with good food at extremely affordable prices. Coffee included in the price of the meal!

I can't drive by here without stopping in. Food is great, as is the service. Wish I lived closer, but every time I go to RI I have two routes to choose from and Rt 6 is usually my choice so I can stop at Shady Acres!

My favorite spot for a fast home cooked meal. Mostly locals or travellers, everyone gets a good hot meal. Try their steak sandwich its teriffic. My favorite is their tuna sandwich. Simple and very delicious. Soups are teriffic, especially the chowders. Friendly casual atmosphere. Fast competent service. In 6 years ive never had a bad meal. Oh! Eggs Benedict is great and very well priced.

Sat for an hour and a half, 2 people out of our 10 did not even get served until the rest of the party was finished eating, so they took it to go. Terrible service, no water refills. Several people got the same order, only few actually got to eat in the restaurant. Waitress was flippant and did not care, that we never got served. One in our party asked for a box waitress yelled yup and threw the box at her. We will NEVER eat here again.

A true diner. Love the homestyle good. Great little place to stop in. Hours have changed. They close at 3pm Mon.- Thurs. Breakfast served all day. Open later on weekends. In Dec 2018 they were used as a site for an upcoming vampire series by Joe Hill, novelist Stephens Kings son.

Stopped by on the way home from shopping at Logee's Greenhouse. Awesome diner feel, the Shady burger and tuna salad club with curly fries were great. Finished with a 'scoop' of black raspberry ice cream all three of us got to share. Quick service and a great price.

Place is a bit small and could use some new seating, as it is old and worn. It gets real busy Sunday morning and you can be forgotten on coffee refills or just to see a waitress after your food is delivered. The food is good for the most part.
