Ordered grilled swordfish A very thin piece of swordfish came It was over grilled so it was dry and at a cost of $20 Way overpriced Vegetables were better tasting but again overcooked. This restaurant was referred to me with high praises but unfortunately did not pan out to be that good. I will never come back for dinner again however their sandwich menu may be a better choice

Have been there three times now. The food is good and the service has been excellent. Last time I was there I had the Pirates Cove Seafood pasta and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. All of the seafood was good, but the scallops were amazing. Gonna get it again soon!

I've only been here one time, but based on my experience I probably won't be coming back anytime soon. To start off, our table was given away to another group, so we had to wait for another table for our group of six. OK, minor annoyance, that stuff happens. We get seated and it seems we've already annoyed the waitress by our mere presence at her workplace. We get an attitude for no reason. OK whatever, everyone has bad days, I'm not going to let this ruin my night out. I've heard the food was REALLY good. I ordered the Chicken Mozambique...or some interpretation of it. It arrives and I see what appears to be Chicken Mozambique soup. "I love that Mozambique sauce" I say. I'll use my fries to sop it up! Then I ate it... Have you ever drank Frank's Red Hot straight up? Neither have I. But that's what it tasted like, over pasta, with chicken, and Frank's. I'm not saying don't ever go to this restaurant

We just had an amazing meal at Sakonnet Grille. As always, the food was delicious and obviously fresh, and our server was amazing. But what was remarkable this evening was the kindness and attentiveness of the manager Kayla who seated us promptly since we had our 95-year old father with us. A delightful evening.

Went for a special occasion order the crab cakes they came spread on a leaf of lettuce and just dripping in grease wasn't even possible to try to enjoy them they were super thin nothing that I expected they would be. Very disappointed.

This place was good but not 5 star good. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. I expected a bit more from the Cowboy Burger. The tumbleweed onion rings sounded like thin crispy onion rings I have seen on burgers before but these not like that and not that great. They did nothing to add flavor or texture to the burger. Fish fry was OK but the batter was nothing special. A friend ordered hot tea and was offered more hot water but an extra tea bag cost $1.85. Just seemed a little odd.

Terrible service. Didn't even stay because of how terrible the waiter treated us. He had an attitude when answering our questions and slammed our drinks on the table while he dropped the straws down as well. I think he was racist. I noticed him speaking very nicely to another group of caucasians at another table. We walked out. It's so sad people can treat others this way & get away with it.

First Time coming to this restaurant on a gift card. Looked forward to having the baked stuff scrod . Portion was good But overcooked. The vegetables soggy. Staff were friendly and efficient however Too high priced with the cost of $19 Ended up a big disappointment

I met a friend there this evening for dinner. I was a little early but the hostess was willing to seat me at a booth. Given past experiences meeting friends, I decided to wait until my friend arrived before being seated. She actually was on time and arrived about five minutes later. We were taken to a booth, greeted by an Associate, and introduced to our waitress (Dawn). Service was prompt and, we were given ample time to review the menu and place our order. My friend ate light. She ordered an appetizer bruschetti (? spelling) which she shared with me. Absolutely delicious! She also had a cup of clam chowder that she very much enjoyed. I had a full meal of chicken breasts with feta cheese and spinach. For my two selections accompanying the meal I picked the vegetable of the day and rice. It was served nice and hot and tasted very good. The atmosphere was cozy and was a great place to talk and catch up on details of happenings in one another's lives. (No overpowering music that makes conversation difficult, if not impossible). Although we didn't avail ourselves, there is a beverage (alcohol) list and an extensive dessert menu. The price range is moderate to slightly expensive, depending on selection.

Have been here many times but this was the most awful experience we have had at a restaurant. We were able to get 4 seats at the bar and the bartender got an attitude because we asked 2 men if they would mind moving down. There were happy to do so. My sister and her husband were just coming into the parking lot. Once seated the bartender told us we could not save the other 2 seats for them. I told her they had just pulled in and she said we couldn't save them and proceeded to give the away. She had such an attitude about it we got up and walked out. There was no way we were going to put up with that all night. We left and called 15 point road restaurant and the owner very nicely saved us 4 seats at the bar. So instead of spending $200 at the grille we gave the business to a much better restaurant with a wonderful staff. The bartender is the reason we will never go back to Sakonnet River Grille.

Very sorry to report a disappointing takeout experience with fish and chips. I rushed home to enjoy them while hot, just a mile or so from the restaurant. First I had asked for extra lemon-NO LEMON. Next when I put my fork into the large piece of batter fried fish, it completely separated from the coating leaving a pile of soggy batter and what amounted to under-cooked tasteless white fish. The skinny fries were standard commercial fare. The cole slaw however was tasty. Not much incentive to return. For folks who want to give it a try, the dining room was pleasant, their hours are good, and perhaps a sit down meal would be a better experience.

I have eaten here 4 or 5 times and the food is always ok to good but the service needs lots of help. Food Service is a dying art foam but the little teenie boopers at the grille are doing nothing more than a 2nd grade finger pairing.never got my salad food came no butter for my baked potato and has to get up and ask the bartender to get someone to come check on me after having my food for almost 10 minutes. Btw this was at 830 on a Friday night. The servers were to busy bullshiting at the other end of the restraunt.

Our meals were not great nor were they even good. I never have left a restaurant sending not only my meal back hardly eaten, but another as well, no doggie bags. I did end up disclosing the dislike in my meal, but not the other. I felt like one was enough to critique. The waitress deducted the cost of our shared dessert to compensate. The Big Apple Pie wasn't even close to being big. The salmon and time with my daughter were the only positives. We still have money left on our gift card, but won't be returning for a meal. Maybe drinks will leave us with a better experience. Unfortunately quite disappointing.
