I came from India.. Enjoyed the food served hot. Ramen Reigns was so delicious and I liked the house made vegetarian stock.
Love this place great atmosphere and great beer and ale choices
Before heading to Revival today, I perused the reviews and was struck by how great some were and how terrible some were (namely the hipster Daria review). We went with lukewarm expectations but were happy to encounter super friendly, attentive staff and delicious beer selections. I kept saying to myself, our server is way too awesome to be “Daria” but got a good laugh out of it when I realized she actually was. I can only guess that a.m.’s sense of humor didn’t jive with hers, cause as a very uncool, unhip, hetero white female, she was courteous and sweet and totally not condescending or patronizing. She was quirky and has an affinity for finger guns
Ordered the Chef's burger of the day and was not disappointed. Beers were tasty. Music was tasteful, good movie playing on a big screen. Nice hall with plenty of space for larger parties
Horrible service horrible food somewhat decent beer.
Terrific place... diverse demographics.... good brews. Good eats. Maybe music was too loud. Otherwise ideal!
My boyfriend and I were denied services because management thought our IDs were fakes. We are both 23 years old. It was incredibly frustrating because we had been there before and had no issues when our IDs were checked. The waitress informed us that since they had have a lot of fake ID problems, that’s they did not feel comfortable serving us. I have a Rhode Island drivers license and my boyfriend had a Connecticut license. They appear to have issues with the staff not being properly trained in identifying fake IDs from real ones. We were very unhappy with the service and will probably not be returning.
Great beer selections
Good food. Lots of room
Is this my favorite place because the short rib empanadas are bangin' or is it because of the amazing street artwork outside or is it because i love the can designs (rose ipa im talking about you) or maybe its because Julie is my favorite manager at the bar? I dont know, but Ill keep coming back because Brutopia/Revival is hot.
I go here all the time with friends and family. Amazing spot with good folks and even better beer. A must go if in Providence!
This tap room is spacious, comfortable, & has some of the best food I've had in a brewery! The beer is also great!!!
Friendly service, great choice of beers, food was delicious. Live music.
Beers great. Every other aspect of this place needs work A child's birthday party at brewery? Hard no.
Nice vibe excellent service good food very satisfying
Great place. Great beer, always a fun time.
Loved out waitress Stephane, keep her don't let her go back to Florida
Great tasting IPAs, BBQ and awesome service.
One of our favorite breweries in Rhode Island. Great food upstairs at Brutopia. Fun board games to play with your friends. Pinky Swear is definitely one of my favorite summertime ales ever!!
The tasting room downstairs has Excellent beer selection and service never had a bad experience there. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about what they're serving. all around great experience!
We had a wonderful date at revival! The beer was truly awesome, and we ended up taking some home as well. Our service was also excellent and our bartender was quite attentive. We will be back for sure! Loved this experience =)
A gem of a brewery in North Rhode island. I've been trying to visit from CT for months and when I was in the area I jumped on the chance. Great bar area, awesome food and wings, great music piped in, and of course the beer. Your usual flagship styles, and plenty of canned 4 packs to go. Easily one of the best breweries I've been to.
Been hearing a lot about this place and as a restaurant professional I had to check it out. The place is huge. It’s got a nice big bar in the middle and lots of TVs with the sound on which was a surprise. The beer is awesome. We had 2 flights of 4 beers and not a bad one in the bunch. It was meatless Monday and the menu had some great options. The Brussels sprouts were the best I ever had. The zucchini tacos were bomb and who doesn’t like a good fried pickle! Kid friendly during regular dinner hours for sure. I’d never bring a kid to a bar after 8. Server was fantastic. Answered all our stupid questions. Can’t wait to go back.
Stay away from this place!!! I had a Groupon for a flight of beer for four people. I was told that I had to give my credit card in case I purchased anything. I did not want to give it as I was not ordering anything else. They said it was policy. When I left i I asked for a copy of my credit card receipt was a zero balance since I didn’t buy anything. I was told that there was no bill because I did not purchase anything. A day after my visit there was a credit card bill put through. I was not even there the day my card was used. They held onto my credit card and put a charge through. What restaurant asks for a credit card before you purchase. Shouldn’t that be after you buy something. Beware of this establishment!!!
I truly don’t get the idea behind the restaurant. You walk in and don’t know whether or not you are waiting to be seated or seat yourself. The menu was extremely small and on paper that’s dirty from everyone’s hands. We are college students always looking for a cool place to go out drink and eat. We ordered the burger special and the Mac and cheese. First, when you bite into that burger you can tells a frozen patty. Let’s not even talk about the Mac and cheese; it was watery and had soup like consistency. I don’t like the idea of having to go up to the bar and order. Now that leaves us the question of if your guest should tip? I’m guessing no. We spend more money than going out somewhere nice in downtown providence where the atmosphere, customer service, quality, and pricing is better. The original restaurant was amazing before Revival came in. The beer is still just as great as it was before. We are just wishing the quality of the food was the same.
Revival Brewing took over the restaurant at this location. Previously the restaurant was not worth visiting, but now that the same folks who make the amazing beer at this place are making amazing food, it is now well worth the trip. I’ve been both nights since they reopened the restaurant that Brutopia shut-down and have had great food both nights. The menu was limited but I hear they will be showing off a new full menu in the weeks to come.
Great beer and Boomer is the best at skee ball.
Food is amazing!!!! Also all good beers. Great bartenders too!
Great atmosphere and excellent beers. Not a bad tasting beer on the menu! Been going to Revival even before they took over upstairs!
Beer was flat and food as absolutely awful.
Beers were amazing and brisket was well worth it
Great spot!
Beer was very delicious. Bartender was rude, sarcastic, patronizing, condescending, etc. Everything we said was met with a sarcastic tone. It was like hipster Daria tending bar, playing Bon Iver, which was hilarious. She could control the digital menu on the tv with a laptop and my brother says “you guys are high tech” and she responds “yea power point, state of the art” and gives him this stupid thumbs up. So rude. My brother didn't notice but I did. Just cause you wear a beanie and a cool tshirt and work at a micro brewery doesn’t mean you're better than anyone. We'll take our business elsewhere. Obviously we're not cool enough to drink your beer.
Great food and the beer is out of this world!
Friendly place with good beer and food.
Beer was great. Service was okay -- our beer orders kept getting mixed up even though there were only a half dozen customers at the brewery.
Food was way to spicy for me an im not a hops fan so didint like the beer either.but if you like hops then you will like this place.but the place over all was very clean an nice
Awesome basement vibe! Great beers!
Good beer
Stopped by for RI Food Fights. The burger was amazing and the staff was great!
The beer is okay, some is a bit too hoppy for my taste but it's all pretty alright. The service is atrocious here though, absolutely horrid. The bar tenders are too busy flirting and making friends to notice people with an empty glass, and if you're waiting for 10 minutes for service, that's almost a fast wait.
Best tasting beer flight I've ever had. I could spend all day and a paycheck here.
Excellent beer. Great food. Great service. Had the mussels and the spicy cauliflower delicious and all of the beers I drank were delicious
Still a fan of the beers, but I'm not impressed with the take over of the new space. Music was loud, food and drink menu seemed limited, and the food was bland (you own a smoker..you should use it). Will probably still pop by for beer, but it's sad to have lost a good place to eat and hang out.
Revival needs a revival. I wont go back until they fix their situation.
Great staff and great beer!
Terrible . Bartender was in a t shirt and sweatpants. Calamari burger and ramen. Poor quality, very basic. Waste of time and money.
Nice lively atmosphere with a large selection of their in house brewed beers offered. Good sized outdoor patio with games and seating. We did experience some issues regarding service. It seemed like all the wait staff was simultaneously working tables and the bar. We were originally seated outside and it took almost 15 mins before we were first approached by staff. 20 mins went by before we ended up moving inside to try and order food. It wasn’t busy at the time but all the staff seemed to be constantly in a rush and overwhelmed. My suggestion would definitely be come for drinks and atmosphere but maybe skip on trying to get food. And as always keep patient if service is slow like we experienced I would definitely like to go back again and give it another shot.
I really enjoy their beer, in fact, would have enjoyed more than one had anyone in the place noticed my empty glass. Food was decent and had it not been for the extremely SLOOOOW service, I would come back. To me, it seemed like no one had clear roles. Who takes care of the customers at the bar? The tables? It was not busy at all and I noticed several other customers get up from their tables and approach the bar to order. That is not table service. I have been in the restaurant business for 20+ years, I understand the difference between lack of awareness and being very busy and in the weeds. This was a case of the former. Place needs some management and structure. Really too bad.
Beers are pretty good. Food over priced- $20 for cheeseboard with materials from stop&shop. Service disorganized.
This brewery has an excellent selection of beers in a wide range of styles. The staff is very friendly. Check this place out if you are ever in the area.
Revival is the brewery I've frequented the most in RI. The range of styles here is extensive, and the quality across different types of beers is fantastic. Want a sour that'll knock your socks off with how tart and wonderfully refreshing it is? Meet "Pinky Swear" which is a Berliner Weisse made with raspberries and blueberries. You'll want to bring a cooler full to the beach. Want a complex imperial stout to ponder when the New England winter will end? Go for the boozy, darkly roasted, imperial Russian stout, Juliet. Regardless of what you choose, the can art is always something to appreciate too. Honestly don't think I've come across more beautiful beer cans. In the basement they had skeeball, board games, old school arcade games and more. They've even brought in live music on some weekends that I've been there. Service has always been excellent. The bartenders are super approachable, down to earth, and knowledgeable about the beer. They'll let you try something if you're not sure you want a full pour! Now that Brutopia on the first floor closed , Revival has moved up from the basement into a much larger space on the first floor. There's definitely more room for tap lines, and they now offer food, but I still haven't gotten used to the new space yet. It doesn't feel as homey yet, but maybe it will in time. Regardless, you should get yourself over there for a Pinky Swear pronto!
Fun bartenders and a great place to mingle.
Excellent, if you've got the time try the restaurant upstairs as well
Great time, Good Beer, Free Skeeball Tuesdays!
Ok service, ok food, solid beer
We like coming here for both the beers and the food! Also lots of games to play and good service! Every time we've been there are tables available. They do flights of four.
Haven't quite found their identity. Seems they aren't sure whether they want to be a full restaurant or just a brewery. Didn't seem to be anyone serving so we just sat at the bar. If you're not getting an adult beverage then you have to walk yourself to a cooler for bottled drinks lol literally they have no drinks from a machine or behind the counter. Food was okay but nothing special for the price. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Good beer and good food
Amazing craft beer, nice people and a sweet dog.
Fantastic experience! We stopped by at 7ish on a Monday night and had a couple of beers in the Brutopia side, which was a mediocre affair. However, the downstairs area where we were directed to get our brewery passports stamped was excellent. We ended up staying for another round and the people and atmosphere made for a great time. The kriek-lambic was delicious as well. Highly recommended, just make sure you end up in the tasting room downstairs and not the semi-affiliated bar up top.
Terrible service. Terrible food. Great beer though
Great place with incredible brews.
This is an excellent brewery and an interesting space. I've never tried anything from them that didn't impress, whether it was a solid take in a classic like a stout or red, or a unique sour or infused beer. Every time I've gone, there is a cask ale with a peppercorn or other herbal/savory infusion, in addition to ten taps, some of which are nitro. There are a number of classic arcade cabinets and skee ball, outside food can be brought in or ordered from Brutopia upstairs, and a wide selection of cans with incredible art are always available for purchase to take home. I give a lot of respect to Revival for producing a beer to benefit Providence Pride 2018. There isn't anything not to love here.
Each person has to walk up to the bar to order, no table waitress. 1 menu at the table for 3 people.
Easily one of the best breweries in Rhode Island. The bartenders are super nice as well. You can order bbq from upstairs as well which is really nice.
Love your pinky swear pink beer! I'll be back for some bottles soon!!!! Kudos to you for a delicious raspberry flavored pink beer!! You're the best!!!
Great atmosphere, awesome brews, adorable pub dog!
Best staff ever. Hanging out here is so much fun! Skee ball, board games and beer? Doesn't get any better than this.
Decent food and beer. Large place. Nice staff. Good place to stop in and grab a bite and a beer.
Great beer, fun games, great prices and atmosphere. We always have a good time here
Fantastic!!!!
We visit Revival often and it's never disappointment. They are always brewing something new and delicious. We love that the bartenders are always able to answer all questions about the beers that they have. It's an all around great experience at the downstairs tasting room (not to be confused with the upstairs restaurant, they are separate).
This place has gone down hill. Beer is good but 9 dollars for a 12 ounce poor is reduculus especially i go to every brewery in RI and never seen this. Food was mediocre at best. Portions are for a mouse. Poke bowl came out with 5 pieces of tuna and a cup full of rice. Employees are non existent. There siting at customer tables playing on phones. İ use to like comming here I will not return I got my stamp no need to put myself through this type of service and prices again.
A bit hidden and tucked away in the basement of Brutopia but once you find it you never want to leave! The beers on tap are phenomenal and they have all sorts of games and activities you and participate in with friends if you haven't already gotten stuck in hour long conversations with other patrons or staff. They host cornhole for a local sports group which is pretty awesome.
Had food, beer & an awesome view of the Superbowl on tv! My wife, sister-in-law & I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Great beer & great homemade potato chips - what's not to love?
Slow terrible staff waited at the bar for over a half hour with no service wasn't even that busy
Sorry to say but worst service thus far on our vacation. Out waitress even left without telling us. No follow ups, nothing, not even a glass of water. First and last experience.
Having sampled their beer at another location, I'm not surprised at the broad range of beers available on tap. I am truly impressed at the level of dedication and passion that are infused into their brews, evidenced by the numerous galosh-sporting redwoods (read: tall people) wandering into the restaurant area for a cold beverage during the hottest part of the day. It is readily apparent to the experienced observer that these are brewers-turned-restauranteers and not the other way around. That being said, the food was excellent, with my only gastronomic-based criticism being that the house-made potato chips, though extremely tasty, were under-seasoned. I'd also like to see more beer-based choices on the menu. My only other complaint is that the men's room floor could use a good scrubbing (or outright replacement) and the hung ceiling is noticeably mismatched. Otherwise, everything appeared to be clean and freshly maintenanced. For those that get bored easily, there is also a billiards table, skee-ball, a hoop-shoot game, as well as an arcade game in addition to an outdoor courtyard. Located on Atwood Ave.(Rte.5) just over the border between Cranston and Johnston, across from Nino's Pizza, I recommend this spot.
Confusing format overall. A server told us to sit anywhere and handed us grubby paper menus. We ordered something right away and said we would be ordering something else soon. She dropped off a stack of cups and pitcher of water and a buzzer for our food with no explanation. We didn't see her again for awhile so we went up to the bar to order the rest of our dinner and were handed a second buzzer. Got the pork sandwich that was quite tasty. Menu seemed to have some unique choices overall. Also ordered the Mac which was definitely lacking in the quantity of noodles, seemed to have a pre made sauce taste. Wasn't that amazing. We were never checked on by the server or anything. Stopped at the bar to pay and ask if this was the standard format of customer service and he said they were still working out the details. Not really acceptable of an answer if you ask me. You should have assigned tables to servers when you have about 20+ tables or else a sign saying order here so people know it's counter service.
Great beers, comfortable relaxing atmosphere, a little to basement feel though for 5 stars.
Haven't been to the brewery yet but the beer is great. Will update after visit.
GREAT LUNCH!!! We were greeted at the Tasty Room by Liz. We sat our selves outside. They have shaded areas and plenty of seats our beautiful Sunday afternoon. The music was not to loud, could barely hear the traffic, and felt instantly comfortable. Each of us had a flight of beers. The traditional Rose IPA was full of flavor. Exactly what a beer should taste like :) The HAMR pilsner was also delicious. Very interesting were their experimental drinks, the Clever Girl, a greapfruit cherry kettle sour, and the Pinky Swear, a raspberry blueberry kettle sour. The pinky swear was tart and yummy. Could easily have had three of them. Then the food came. The appetizer was a street corn with just the right amount of poblano sauce and cilantro crema. The lime fresco crumble was delicious on top. The two main dishes were a tuna poke bowl with eda mama beans brown rice and just the right amount of Sriracha aïoli. It had a little bit of kick but wasn’t spicy. And the lobster roll was quite delicious. All in all we will definitely go back again next time we are in the area.
Kitchen turned around, but that doesn't mean the beer got any better
Excellent beer and food, service was a bit confusing, be sure to go to the bar and order before grabbing a table.
Excellent beer
Downstairs has several old video games and a skee ball machine. It's a very funky place for a great beer.
It was a good place, beer was ok. My Twins loved it!
Wonderfully friendly bartenders. Even gave them a book recommendation as they gave us another brewery recommendation. Tried a sample of all their
Great beer and fantastic food with lots of TVs to watch the games and pinball, pool and skeeball etc. Great place to meet with friends or have a party.
I do not recommend this place to anyone who values freedom and liberty. There are so many great breweries in RI that you can take your business to that do not cancel on commitments for events.
Beer is still awesome
Great brews, good food. Friendly helpful staff. I would return for sure.
This is truly one of America's top microbreweries! The beer here is incredible. The Brewmaster Sean Larkin is possibly the single most important person in New England Beer since Sam Adams. His staff is great, the tasting room is hip and should not be missed.
Excellent beer and service
The beer was terrible.
Terrific variety of beers on tap to sample (Irish stouts to fruity nonsense and everything in between) with an eclectic and tasty food menu. Board games, table games and arcade games in the back guarantee a good time.
This brewery came highly recommended. Not far from where I’m working, either. Ordered a couple of flights and really enjoyed the beers. Met some nice people at the bar, bartender was nice, too. They have a tasting room downstairs where you can buy singles of their cans. The can set is neat. I’m sure I’ll be back and would recommend anyone interested in craft beer put Revival on your list. Cheers!
Great Micro Brewery, with a nice selection right off the tap. You can do a flight get to try 3 brews and figure what ones you like best before buying a glass or purchasing some to go. Nice atmosphere to relax and chat with friends and you can even get some food from there sister restaurant upstairs to snack while your kicking back a couple. Plus there even on the micro brewery bus tour. The staff are nice friendly and helpful with brew selections. Would highly recommend a visit.
I love this place, we visit every few months. It is friendly, and some of the most interesting beers around. Last time we went there were 11 on tap. The staff is the best, and super knowledgeable about the beer and brewing.
Tasting room is in the basement along with barrels and beer storage? A little messy but staff are friendly and beers taste great.
