One of the best pies I’ve ever had. Crust was crunchy, yet doughy and delicious on the inside. Pepperoni cupped nicely and the sauce tasted extremely fresh. Only complaint I have is the beer list, as it would’ve been cool to pair a local beer or two with this delicious pizza!

Great ambiance but the pizza is obviously the best part. I sat in the section overlooking the prep area. Dough, I’m told, is made in-house and fresh every day. Just a great taste between the dough and saints. Cool joint, but for someone who appreciates high-end pizza, this is the place to go. Pizza was delicious! Drinks were very good. Service was super nice and prompt. They were busy we had a reservation for 13 people. Table was ready and lunch was delicious!

The pizza was excellent. The crust is crunchy on the outside soft and airy on the inside. (Probably using 00 flour) Nicely seasoned fresh tomato sauce, quality cheese and the key to any real pepperoni pizza, small thick natural casing pepperoni that curl up the way it used to be. The wings with onions are ridiculous. The homemade desserts are also very good. Had the butterscotch pudding, brought me back to the old days, definitely not the commercial so called butterscotch pudding of today. My only complaint, portion is a little small it's so good it's just a tease.

Loved it!!! The food, ambience, service, quality, you name it and these guys excelled in everything. We went on a Sunday afternoon. It was not crowded and we got a nearby street parking without much hassle. We did notice some nearby parking garages too. Getting seat was easy. My wife and I enjoyed a pair of Caesar salads at Coal Fired Pizza. I had the entree size with chicken, she had the side salad portion. Both were substantial. My chicken had unusual seasoning on it; it had hints of Indian flavors. Good overall. The dressing and greens were solid, but not fantastic. I'd eat it again, possibly, but wouldn't go there for it specifically. I would, however, go back to try out the balsamic wings with onions piled on top. They looked both popular and tasty. Service for out brief visit was ok, but not great.

We came in with a party of 12 and were very rushed the entire time!!!! They even offered to buy us a drink or dessert if we moved to separate tables after we ate. We just wanted to enjoy a family dinner without someone cleaning up plates while we were still eating. Very overpriced for mediocre pizza. I dont even know what they had for dessert because we weren't given the option to order it unless we moved. Only 1 valet driver on a Saturday night so we followed the gentleman (who was very nice) to get our own cars because it would have taken forever!!! We will not be back and will be sure to let people know not to go in with a reservation for a larger party. We were very disappointed.

Been here a couple times while visiting the city. Seems like our "go to" spot when we want a chill night rather than a dress up fancy evening. We tend to sit at the pizza bar and watch the food being made. Usually the staff making the food will engage in conversation. The waitstaff has always been great to deal with. Pizza has been exceptional each time. We like to try different appetizers and are never disappointed. Parking is convenient and the location is handicap capable.

Best wings. When I first read the menu, I didn't think wings covered in onions would be good, boy was I wrong. I even saved some onions to throw on the pizza afterwards. So yummy!

Ordered a pepperoni pie based on the overall great reviews on Google. Unfortunately, the pie was very underwhelming. About a quarter of it was burned but the bottom of the crust was soggy (looks like they had turned up the fire in the oven to try to get orders out to meet demand - in all fairness, the place was packed). However, this in inexcusable as I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my order so there shouldn't have been a need to rush the cooking. And the pepperoni is extremely salty. I wish there were more cheese instead of pepperoni, as opposed to the ratio that actually came with my pie.

Delicious and fast. Went in to order and the pizza came out in 10 minutes. The pic attached is the Meatball pizza. Was so delicious that we ended up getting a second. The pizza is big but the crust is so thin that half a pizza didn't fill us up. Will definitely return.

Coal fired pizza and chicken wings are special. The menu does have other items as well which are all prepared well. Atmosphere is open with high ceilings, huge bar area and mix of high top and standard tables. Prices are reasonable and staff is welcoming.

Providence Coal Fired Pizza offers a decent pizza, but in a town with so many excellent dining options, including pizza, I think it should be better. Especially for the price, Coal Fired Pizza misses the mark. If you're in the area and looking for an easy spot that will make a large group with varying tastes happy, this is a good spot for you. Like a mediocre pub, Providence Coal Fired Pizza delivers what you're expect from the name a little more.

We order a 2 small pizzas, the size of them were perfect for sharing between 2 people. The pesto pizza was a bit disappointing, first of all it has a lot of oil in the pesto making the dough a bit soaky, and the chicken was totally without flavor. By the way the Conrad pizza was really good, nice crunch on the dough and the sausage had a great flavor and a perfect combination with the onion and red pepper. The price was a good deal with 10$ each pizza.

We were visiting Providence and this was a short walk from our hotel on a cold night. The clam pizza was pretty good. It was strange because it had potatoes on it, but there was an abundance of clams. I have had better clam pizza, but this wasn’t bad. For an appetizer, we had baked goat cheese. It was very good. I highly recommend it. The service was good.

When I visit a place for work I like to try and get out to the local favorite restaurant and stay away from the chain restaurants. This place came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. The pizza was superb, the wait staff friendly. Go, you'll love it.

Should really do something about your skinny long haired valet driver calling people on a public sidewalk "queer bags" and using vulgar language towards them. Bad way to have your business represented. He may be young but he needs to learn while on the clock hes a arm of the company. One infected arm can cause the whole business to die.

Service was excellent. The decor creates a nice atmosphere, you could come for a casual or semi-retired romantic dinner. The food quality was very good and the price was fair for the location. They managed to cook a split pizza perfectly which isn't easy as one side had a lot of toppings and the other had none Because of how it's cooked there is some char to the crust which for me personally makes it way better. I will definitely come back here soon!

It's a really great place for brick oven type foods. Never had a dish I didn't like. Drinks are always good as well. Only reasons it doesn't have 5 stars for me is because there's no parking and because in the summer it's so hot due to the ovens. They no A.C. and there's no which is probably help regulate the heat of the oven. And there's no parking (weekend valet)

Can’t believe that at 5:30 on a Friday with 15 open tables they can’t seat a family of 4 with 2 toddlers. The “suggestion” was to sit at the bar... yup a bar seat with a 23 month old and a 3 year old. #greatIdeas. I wish you could sell back gift cards so I could never give them business.

This place has good pizzas. It is just over-priced for the food quality they offer. I ordered a pizza with prosciutto crudo and it just wasn't fresh enough and it was almost half-cooked instead of raw.

Coal fired pizza was wonderful however it should come with a warning. "The food you are about to eat is super duper hot". Result badly scorched palate with skin peeling and 24 hours later still hurting. I had ordered cheese pizza and the hot cheese just stuck on to my palate and the damage was done. I am not going to be eating pizza anytime soon. Pizza 5 star hot temperature 0 stars.

Ordered from this place tonight and really wished I read the reviews before giving them my business. I would highly advise against eating here. Our food arrived cold the the portions were outrageously small. I have never been given such a small amount of food before (mac and cheese, spinach dip) The pizza (barbecue pulled pork) was also on the smaller side. And for the price we paid for everything, cannot believe it. We reached out to the restaurant and they refused to help. For real, do not go to this place. The food wasn't even good, at all. We barely ate it only cause we were starving from having to wait forever. Definitely go somewhere else. Apparently coal fired pizza just sucks overall

Providence Coal Fired Pizza is consistently churning out great pies. If you don't want to wait you can snag a reservation on OpenTable, otherwise it may be a while because it's pretty popular. I love that they're so flexible with their pies--want to do a half white mushroom half margharita pizza? They'll do it no problem! Want to take a white pie and make it red? No problem. It makes it easy when you have a group and everyone wants something a little different. Pro tip, if it's cold out and you're starving they have a delicious tomato soup to start with. If you're sharing a salad to go with the pizza they have a house-made herb vinaigrette which is SUPER fresh and helps revitalize you with energy to finish your pizza (which should be why you're here in the first place anyways!) :P

Went during lunch on a thursday and it was pretty busy. Split a large pizza with a friend, it was pretty good. The pizzas aren't round NY style but more neapolitan. I think it was a pretty good deal. The setting was pretty modern. The bar like seating near the pizza ovens looked pretty cool.

would not recommend dining here! last night a friend and i has reservations for 5:00pm. We were seated immediately and everything was going great! We ordered drinks, an appetizer, a pizza and some dessert. About an hour / hour and fifteen minutes into our time at Providence Coal Fired Pizza a young woman working there approached my friend and i informing us that there was a group that was waiting for our table that also made reservations. She basically told us to hurry up so she could seat her next party. I found this to be SO incredibly rude. Never has this happened to me at another restaurant. It’s not like my friend and I were just sitting there taking up space. We ordered plenty of food and drinks to make our time there worth it. How can you ask your paying customer to essentially hurry up and get out of the establishment so you can accommodate other guests that you clearly did not plan for? There were also 2 4 top tables available near us that I could see. I’m not sure why they specifically needed the table we were sitting at. In the end, the food is good and our waiter was nice but I will not be coming back here due to being rushed out by the hostess.

The pizza was great and the place had a cool vibe. Good place to stop on your way to or from The Malted Barley, which is a block away!

I've had a lot of good pizza but this place ranks near the top if not at the top. Prompt service, welcoming atmosphere and the food is tremendous. All ingredients are fresh. Flavors are perfectly complimented. I've never eaten this much pizza in one sitting.

Be prepared to eat cold pizza if you order online because they disregard the pickup time!! My sister was visiting and we wanted to have a movie night so we ordered takeout. I placed the order at 6:20 for a 6:45. It is less than a 5 minute walk from my apartment, so we left around 6:40 and arrived right on schedule. When I picked up the box, I could already feel that it wasn't hot like you'd normally be able to tell from touching the bottom. We were home by 6:50 (5 minutes after scheduled pickup) and opened up the box to find cold pizza. I was so disappointed and almost embarrassed making my guest have to heat up "fresh" pizza from a place I suggested. And beside the fact that I just paid for a cold pizza, it was overpriced for the size. This was my first and last time eating here. Not worth it!

Over all a good experience. Like most coal fired pizza, the crust is more to the well done side. The service was good with our food coming out quickly and the server checking on us with some sort of frequency. I think the crust edge ratio was too high and crust too thin in the middle. The pizza could not be picked up due to being too floppy.

We stopped by on our visit to Rhode Island. Food was great. Service fast friendly and efficient. We (two of us) started with the coal cooked wings and a Caesar salad. The wings were plump and juicy. They come covered in coal cooked onions which seemed a bit odd but surprisingly really worked well together. That was followed by the pizza. We had the Conrad. Sausage onion peppers and pecorino. Toppings were generous without being overwhelming. The crust is thin with a puffy edge. The coal gives it a slightly different taste than wood fired or gas ovens. The pizza is a good size. We couldn’t quite finish it and brought a bit back to the hotel for a midnight snack. Highly recommend this place.

An absolute gem. If there were a 6 star rating, they would get it. The service was reasonably fast considering the restaurant was crowded. So you may consider making reservations or you might have to wait to be seated. But the wait may be worth it. The starters were served fast, hot and delicious. The pizza was fresh and fabulous. The dessert was perfectly sweet. A very nice night out to eat. I will be a repeat customer for sure...I can't wait!!

The reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the food was actually very good, and it came out quick. However, the waiter deserved 3 stars. He pretty much could only remember one thing at a time, and we came to realize we needed to ask him for things periodically, as he kept forgetting to bring back everything! The pizza was good (crust was a little burnt, but to be expected in the type of heating element), and they even brought my mom a glass of champagne for mother's day. I think they need to train their staff better, as it's just a pizza joint, and not hard to be good at it, coming from a former server myself. We enjoyed the food, but wish we had gone somewhere else for our one night in Providence.

A great place for a twist on pizza! Several of my friends have been here and raved about it, so we finally made it over to check it out. This is a classy, beautiful pizza place; probably the most upscale one I've been to! Our server was funny and attentive, the pizzas were excellent, and we'll definitely be back.
