I was thrilled to discover Papis while I was in Connimicut today. Food was delicious and prices are excellent. It wouldn't be my first choice for a sit down meal on a hot day due to the poor air conditioning but otherwise it was wonderful.

Papi's big burrito was LARGE with 2 meat choices, lots of beans, rice, guacamole, cheese, sour cream. Filled up my 14 year old!!! I had the shrimp fajita burrito and it was very tasty. Great staff, awesome 1st visit and will be back! This is the one in Warwick.

I used to eat here at least once a week when I lived in Rhode Island and it was my all time favorite. I miss this place with a passion. I highly recommend eating here, especially if you’re a picky eater who needs custom made food because they will cook it how you want it—for example, if you want black beans and cheese only in a taco, they will do it with no issues or attitude. I highly recommend eating here! Very kid friendly as well as vegetarian friendly. Miss you Papi’s!!

Love this restaurant ! They have taco Tuesday special 3 for 5 dollars ! Any kind hard or soft shell and with any meat. They have empanadas and chicken wings that aren’t on the menu. Empanadas are 2 for $3 chicken or beef. Chicken wings with or without fries , and with your choice of sauce buffalo or barbecue or both. Also served with ranch or bleu cheese

My friend and I tried here on Cinco de Mayo. We were promptly attended initially, though we got the impression the waitstaff were annoyed when we came it. Then, almost 45 minutes passed before I mentioned to our waitress that we hadn’t recieved our drinks. They apologized and admitted they completely forgot to put our order in. The food was ready within 5 minutes and was quite delicious and fresh. We had margaritas, tacos, a roll up and fried plaintains. They apologized for forgetting us and gave us free T-shirts. They would get 5 stars, if not for forgetting us.

If you haven't tried Papi's Tacos, you've missed a great eating spot. The prices are amazing. You can easily leave, full, for $10 or less. It is Mexican themed but you control the spice level. I visit the Conimicut site as often as I can. They have beer, wine, and mixed drinks, but no coffee. I love mom and pop spots and this one is excellent. If it gets busy, your food could take more minutes than expected. It is NOT fast food. Most will be glad to vist Papi's. Enjoy.

I went to try the food here in search to get something quick to eat and being told it was very good but it was the total opposite. I don’t typically write reviews but this was such a huge disappointment that food of such low quality is sold to the public with this company name behind it. Salsa was for sure Tostitos, Guacamole was store bought as well, the taco shells were all heated and not made in-house, Jamaican meat pie was bought frozen and reheated, and to top it oss the chorizo seemed a little raw the chicken also tasted like slop. There was not 1 positive thing to say about this place it is not authentic at all this is one of the biggest disappointments I’ve seen in a restaurant thus far. Don’t waste your hard earned money !

Love finding small local places like this off the beaten track. Tacos are some of the best I had and their homemade hot and mild sauces are top notch. Great place to grab a quick meal close to the airport. Only negative is eating too much before having to hop a flight. Good job

Could so easily be a 5 Star Cheap Eats. Everything I've had there is 5 Star delicious. Seriously good hot sauce that's not hot for hot's sake but packed with flavor. The salsa is one of the best I've had, everything in it does a solo, the fresh, ripe tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, etc. The burritos are fantastic, plantains fantastic, nachos are crunchy and delicious. Here's the problem, you ordered and paid for the plantains and guacamole, but it's not in the bag. Lesson learned, so the next time you ask, "Read through the order and confirm it's all there." You're assured it is,...it isn't. It's busy when you're picking up your dinner but the only way to be sure you're getting what you paid for is to have them unpack everything right there and risk being lynched by the hungry mob forming behind you. I love independently owned local eats, I wan't Papi's to be successful so there's a solid alternative to the chain stores but I really don't want to drive across town and back home to find I've been screwed.

This is my go-to taco place because it is located about 5 minutes from where I live. Apart from the convenience factor, the food is really good. I am a Los Angeles transplant and I can say I know my taco, and theirs rank among the good ones. Traditionally prepared, big servings, priced right, and served by efficient staff (not always the friendliest of them), they have yet to do wrong in my book. I've ordered to go, for pickup and even dined in on some Friday evening. There's margarita or beer to enjoy with your food. My favorite is the shrimp fajita burrito that comes really loaded and with large shrimps. On other days, not very often, I like that I can opt for a combination filling of carne asada, pulled pork, chicken or just double up the shrimp serving on the Burrito Gigante. I've also ordered the Fajita plate and the Jamaican Pie. This is a small place that packs a punch.

The old adage that "you get what you pay for" does NOT apply to Papi's! The cost of the meal is nowhere near the excellent quality of the food. After my first visit, it immediately became my go-to neighborhood spot. I've brought many friends here and everyone has been in complete agreement... I LOVE THIS PLACE!

On a road trip from Canada, we stopped off in Rhode Island. Found this place and I have to say their food was divine!! Super delicious, had the guac and chips, ended up taking the chips as they were fresh and really nice! We ordered their soft and hard shell tacos. This place is authentic and delicious! We even met Papi himself, great guy! Will definitely come back here on our next road trip.

Service was AWFUL!!! They brought out 1 person's meal and 20 minutes later when asked about the rest they said they hadn't even started it. The waitress was rude. She didnt even apologize or offer a discount on the 1 meal that they did manage to make. Other people walked out and everyone in there was complaining about how long the orders took and that the staff had NO clue what they were doing. How do you even bring out just one meal and forget the rest. I will never go there again and would never recommend that anyone else does.
