By far the best Indian restaurant in town. Don't let the decor fool you. This restaurant is authentic through and through. The menu is pretty much geared toward comfort food and the proprietors are equally fine with sit down or take out. Best part: the prices are stuck in the early 2000s! A veggie samosa with three chutneys is $2 and change!

This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. It could be worth going an extra mile to get to Rasoi which is in the same vicinity. To share my horrible experience, I need to warn future customers that cookware to serve dishes are untidy, based on reviews I ordered Biryani but to my surprise they served us uncooked Boneless chicken, oh what a sorcery, no words to describe a watery malai kofta. Added to that, an inviting 15% service tax for service, may be one should keep a timer and you will be amazed to be in A.D from B.C. Horrendous evening to spend family time over here.

The place is pretty bare bones and it seems like there wasn't a lot of passion or thought put into making this a good or efficient restaurant. And I'd probably say the same about the food. I've been to dozens of Indian restaurants with many subcuisines, but this place ranked in the bottom quintile for the preparation and taste of the food. That said, it's not terrible, just fair.

I've been waiting so long to check this place out. I am not disappointed either. First off, I love the name , 'Not Just Snacks.' There is a lovely dining area inside and some tables outside as well. The hand painted murals are unique and wonderful conversation pieces of art. NJS has a great menu list and I can't rave enough about the actual dishes. Presentation and taste. The ladies are genuinely beautiful waitstaff with complete knowledge of everything on the menu and the shop as well. NJS is now my favorite place for authentic

I go to this fine restaurant once a month and love everything about it. The food is extremely flavorful and the wait staff are very friendly. This establishment does a fair amount of take out. So happy we don't live far from it. Keep up the good work to make it a most enjoyable visit.

A hidden gem! We have three Indian restaurants in our neighborhood and, though it may be the smallest and least flashy, this one is our favorite by far. We get takeout here at least once a week! I am not Indian and I am new to the cuisine, so I can't speak to the authenticity, but I love everything I have tried here. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous (especially if you eat in), the service is great, and the food is delicious.

Wow, over the years the quality dropped alot. Tires would've been better than their meat. Curry was horrible, when we asked to change it they said you ordered it you eat it. It was nothing like an edible dish. We ended up throwing away the entire food. Never again-!!!!

Food is 5 stars, prices are 5 stars... Takeout queue is what kills the rating. Great food, BYOB if you eat there. Carryout gets a little crazy on a weekend and the pickup time is rather lengthy when you can see your order cooling on the shelf.

I am Indian and I travel to Providence every week for work. I eat out 6 meals every week and at least one of them is always at Not Just Snacks. My colleagues and I randomly discovered this place and decided to try it out a couple months ago. We loved it so much and are there every week. The food tastes like homemade Indian food and the portion size is ideal. The paneer karahi with the cauliflower paratha (gobi) is a must try. Their thali (lunch platter) was also good.

A quint little restaurant and I have never noticed it until I searched for India restaurants nearby. The service was good and the food was delicious. The portions were on the smaller side but it keeps you from overeating which is always a good thing. The naan was very good as the various sauces we had in our dishes.

We heard about this place from a friend. The food there was great. We ordered the chicken masala and chicken vindaloo. The vindaloo was very spicy but both dishes were great tasting! They have their own food available to take home, especially the appetizers and some desserts. They have some tables and chairs outside, but they have bigger ones inside as well.
