We went here for a bachelorette party made up of mostly vegetarian girls. The chef/owner Daniel was SO attentive to us and tailored everything for us. The pizza crust is vegan and they made a great cheeseless pizza for us. They also have very fresh veggies for their salad. Food came out very fast. There was a fantastic jazz band playing too. Very much recommended!

Nico Bella's was recommended for us for breakfast by the Concierge at Omni Hotel. The service was friendly, fast and pleasant. Our server was attentive. The breakfast was delicious. The food was flavorful, fresh and unique. We will definitely come back here next time we are in Providence.

Nico Bella's is a family run restaurant, serving Italian and West African fare. The menu has some staple items and some that varies which is an interesting concept - for me I think it will encourage trying different dishes .The food is very good and the atmosphere, like the menu, is vibrant and eclectic. Family run front end and back end... Danny, and Brian run the kitchen, their wives Debbie, and Nancy and their kids are the heart of this place chatting up folks, making coffee, drinks and serving customers. Oh and the art, by AS220's own Bert Crenka, pieces adorning the walls gives it a mini gallery vibe. Stop in for a good meal, a nice glass of wine, a cappuccino... give it a try I doubt you'll be disappointed!

Took our RISD student and a couple of his friends, a short walk down from 15 West door to this cute place for lunch. I had a small pizza with caramelized onions, bacon and blue cheese. Excellent. I had to bring half of it back home as I was full from three slices. A few at the table had sandwiches with the special hand carved spa ham which was also excellent. Nice touch was being able to get a nice little salad with the sandwiches instead of chips. Friendly wait staff! Over all great experience. Glad we tried it as they have breakfast (all day), lunch and dinner - not all the restaurants downtown are open on the weekends for all services and it is so close to RISD so we'll be back sometime to try breakfast. I look forward to returning.

Don't waste your time. Slow, poor service, inaccurate menu, and horrible food. I went against the reviews and stopped in to get a burger to go. The menu says it comes with fries. It took almost 30 minutes to get it and there is one other person in the place, then I get to my hotel and no fries, just the burger. So I walk back and they say to pick a bag of chips, no apology or care, just say they don't serve fries, so I pick up the menu, and sure enough, it says it comes with fries. So I take chips I don't really want and walk back to my hotel. The bun on the burger is rock hard, the burger is really dry and bland. I threw the garbage away and spent more money for dinner. Just don't.

Was looking forward to a local family restaurant breakfast, it was well recommended by locals, it took a while to place an order (two omelettes) and it appears that our order was not placed by waitress. When I inquired (about 25 minutes after order was taken) she fluffed it and stated that she could not rush it, nor could she cook it?? Waited, finished my coffee tried to pay for the coffee and unfortunately left without having our breakfast. Not impressed with this restaurant's service, a bad day? short staffed? I had to go and lost my appetite, 45 min and attitude not for me.

When I visited Providence in October 2016 I came to the restaurant for a bite to eat. I was not disappointed... excellent service, friendly staff and wonderful food. I shall be returning to Providence again this year, and I shall be definitely dining here again when I do :)

Went for brunch on a Sunday and waited over an hour for our food! Restaurant wasn’t even full. No updates from waitress. We had to ask about our order. Several other patrons left because they were tired of waiting. Although the food was good. It was cold. One of our plates was taken away before we had a chance to finish.

Its so small that its impossible for it to be too busy to provide adequate service, yet we had terrible service. The waitress forgot part of my meal and I had to ask for it twice then she never rang up our card. Another waitress finally took it after walking past us waiting several times.

If I could give no stars I would. I am the Nico is nicobellas his own daughter and he owes my husband and I plenty of money never mind the food is absolute trash and most of these good reviews are people he knows. The reason the service is so poor is because he had young or inexperienced people in there because paying experianced people is not in the character of Dan Crenca. Good luck if you go here better off spending your money at burger king where people actually get paid.

Would not recommend. The management and staff seem to be all over the place. The cook appeared to be taking orders from random tables which was bizarre. Worst of all, it took over an hour to receive our food and the place isn't even full. IT'S BREAKFAST FOOD! It's not like they are preparing a steak dinner, how long does it take to make eggs... Absolute worst experience. The bacon was disgustingly burnt.

My boyfriend and I showed up very late to this restaurant kind of already knowing the kitchen would be closed, but as soon as the manager saw us, she said she could still make us pizza and a sandwich. Everything was delicious, there was a band playing and I loved the artwork and environment of the place. They got me just by the friendly service, but everything else made it to a great experience! I’m definitely going back so I can try the food when the kitchen is open!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. If anything, the waiter was fantastic and he earned them the singular star. I ordered linguine with grilled chicken pesto. The pasta was undercooked and drenched in butter and what seemed to be dried oregano and basil pieces, aparentally they have no idea what pesto is. That was in no way a pesto sauce, an incredibly simple thing to make. At first, The meal didnt come out with chicken on it (not the only mistake in our party) but the waiter promptly noticed it and kindly fixed it. When the chicken did come, it was simply four frozen pieces, microwaved and thrown on top. Not grilled, not even attempted to be pan grilled, no pesto or flavors on it. If thats not bad enough, it cost me $17!! I wouldnt reccomend this place to my worst enemy. Such a shame.

Breakfast was amazing!!! Had the eggs, with sausage and potatoes. The sausage is real Italian sausage cut up into bit size pieces and the potatoes are perfectly seasoned with rosemary. Highly recommended Nicole Bella's. The staff were very friendly.

Is it Friday or Saturday yet? I love going to Nicobellas for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The Food is delicious and yummy too. Saturday Night I had one of the specials, Prime Rib, which was so tender that I really did not need a Steak Knife to cut it. Do not get me going on the wonderful and yummy desserts. Now I wonder what are the Specials this week.

Waitress was very nice and the place has some funky artwork. Comfortable seating arrangement inside. Good for families.

Perfecto! Went to Nico Bella's for the first time tonight and will definitely return. If you want an authentic Italian dining experience with authentic Italian food then this is the place for you. This is a true family restaurant with food that is comparative if not better then most restaurants on Federal Hill. The entrees are excellent and the dessert are unbelievable. They feature local Italian legendary fare along with classic Italian staples. Have not been for breakfast or lunch but I plan on returning for both. No need to dress up. Like I stated earlier this is a true Italian family restaurant. We had very young children dinning with us and they treated us like family.

I give 3 stars on the Operation Manager's personality and attention to my needs. Nico Bella's restaurant was closed for a while. I was upset at that as I heard how good they were. I just happened to go by that way this morning during my morning walk and noticed them open. I was told it was a soft opening. Either way I was happy. I just left there after ordering a 2 egg sandwich and iced coffee. The Operations Manager was very nice, so much so I thought she was the owner. My server was nice enough too. I did notice something with him that I am sure he will correct as he is in training. Now having been from the restaurant world in my past some things just stick out more to me than it would to others. However, I am not sure that anyone would not have noticed. He kindly went out to get cream since the restaurant was out. He walked back in and completed my coffee. He never went into the back, just dropped his book bag and continued on with out washing his hands. Now, if you know downtown Prov then you know if you touch handles of any kind the first thing to not spreading an illness is to wash your hands. I was too embarrassed to bring attention to it and hopefully he corrects that behavior. On to the food...You can see the pics. I ordered a 2 egg and crisp bacon sandwich on buttered toast. Is burnt toast the norm nowadays? I also do not see 2 eggs even though I paid for 2 and that bacon is far from crispy. Not a good start to a returning restaurant. I even gave 18% tip for a pick up order. Do better folks. I won't go back until they are established a little more and work out the kinks. Since there was only 1 other customer and I saw his plate come out with nothing burned, my order should have been perfect. Can not give a proper review on the food since toast and eggs were burnt and bacon not done. Waste of my hard earned money.

Came here because the hostess at Rogue Island made us wait 30+ minutes to seat us and when asked to sit at a table that was open she replied "There party is 8 and you have 6 so that's for them." When we were there way ahead of time and the table wasn't reserved. So we walked past this establishment and didn't really expect much, but we were on a time crunch since we wasted 30+ minutes already. I had the cheese ravioli bolognese, and my friends ordered their pizza. When the food came out, we were really surprised at how good it was. The cheese ravioli was perfect and the bolognese had a good flavor. Pizza was great as well cheese was just the right texture and the toppings were on point. The service was really homey and they made us feel like we were at home, which imo makes up for anything lacking in the food department. All-in-all, solid place to visit for a quick bite (especially pizza) an enjoyable atmosphere, and overall good time.

My wife is unfortunately the daughter of the owner. We worked there for months trying to work for them and all they did was not pay us and put out incredibly poor food. Why support a business who doesn't care for the guests, employees or even their own family. They exploit loyal hard workers but are sure to never really put them on the books or better yet just hire kids. Don't waste your time or money.

This is a gem to be discovered! The food was oitstanding. The dessert was divine. The portions we're large oversize family sized portions that your grandmother prepared. The Saturday night jazz band was equally outstanding and made for an even lovloer evening. The owners Daniel and Debbie made us feel like family and even said we we're now family. We came in from Maryland and will be back! You should definitely come and enjoy the food, atmosphere and people.
