The bangers and mash are frozen breakfast sausages with mashed potatoes. I think there was a pea in it. When serving beer you should use a pint glass not a water glass. Especially when a beer convention is in town. Other then that not a bad place. Close to the convention center and open late. Not too noisy and good music playing on the tv's.

Beautiful little pub in the centre of Providence, RI. It has a little something to offer for everybody, having a beautiful blend of Irish and American foods and drinks. A lot of the people who work here are Irish as well, and have some of the greatest Hospitality I've ever encountered.

Stopped in here for apps and drinks one Saturday evening. Food was good and portions were huge (we got nachos). The waitstaff were all very friendly, never pushy and came by at good intervals. It was the Saturday before Halloween and my husband and I were dressed up so we even got a few staff members in addition to our waitress that came over to compliment our outfits. We were day man and night man from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Quaint location with pre-lubricated bar staff? The food took forever to come out... Fish and chips should not take an hour. I was with people else I would have left. The bar tender was friendly and helpful. A little on the dingy side but it may have been night lighting. Not a food destination. The food met minimum expectations. The rest of my party enjoyed their food: pub grub and that paired well with their consumption for the night.

The waitress we had was excellent at her job. She made us feel like one of the family. I had one of those signature burgers. My wife's fish dinner was slightly overcooked but the staff went out of their way to make up for it at no charge. The food menu was not overly complicated or under written the beer selection was just right. My five stars are for the excellent service that they provided and the food was good too.

Food was good, had baked scrod, mashed red potatoes and carrots. Main dish was piping hot, sides were luke warm. Atmosphere was dark and dingy and very warm. No fans or air conditioner on even though it was hot and stuffy in there. Waitress was very good and pleasant. Didn't linger for dessert, couldn't stand the heat in there.

Really fun and authentic Irish pub. Guinness served at the right temperature and if you're lucky you'll even catch a waitress with a real Irish brogue. Shepherds pie and Irish egg rolls are on point!

Perfect place to stop on our way to the airport. We were traveling to Ireland. Now that I have returned, Murphy’s is a classic Irish pub just like we experienced ( minus the Guinness not being as good). Rachel our server gave us some tips on our travels ( she is from Belfast area). Service and food were great! Would definitely go back!

Do NOT go to this ersatz Irish bar. The (non-Irish) owner insists that customers can only talk about weather. Best part of this bar - staff and Liverpool fans. Liverpool will soon be EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS. They'll never walk alone.

Went here twice in a week with some guys from work, after an event at the near by convention center. Got food and drinks both times. The food is is better than average but nothing special. Bar service is great, definetly a good place to get drinks. The bar tenders are fun to talk to and make great consistent drinks, and they keep em coming! Would recommend for drinks.

That corned beef sandwich is really good. Nice portion of very tender meat with a crisp fresh slaw. Side salad fresh too and homemade potato salad. Comfy Irish pub that feels welcoming to all. The Banana bread pudding was not my favorite, too dense... will have to try something different next time.

I have a special place in my heart for Murphy's. Everyone has a favorite bar and this one is mine. I love the Rubens and the house pickles that they give you for free. Great selection of beer and it's right next to the dunk so you can always get a pre and post game drink.

Really cool place to check out, definitely has an old school meets new school feel. I liked the menu for its unique options as well as it’s normal Irish/American deli staples. My 3M got corned beef with pastrami was delicious but the cole slaw was pretty bland. My girlfriend loved her meatloaf grinder and so did I (definitely enough to share). I definitely recommend this place!

Food and service were both good. I had the clam chowder and the stuffed clams. For a beer bar, they really lacked knowledge of what beers they were serving. Tried two different beers and in both cases they failed to identify the beer at a level sufficient to select in on Untappd. They also do not maintain their Untappd venue. Not a good plan the week of HomebrewCon!

Excellent. Authentic. Delicious. This bar is a gem. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area. The bartender Dominiq (I hope I spelled that right) is a genuinely honest and pleasant man. I stopped in during the 2019 Evolution conference to watch a World Cup game. Dominiq was helpful and accommodating, even during a crazy lunch rush. He made sure I was taken care of. Loved the experience so much I had to come back for a second time during my short stay in Providence. This time I brought friends. We had an excellent time. Please support this incredible local business- I’ll be telling my friends in Texas all about it.

My husband and I came in to providence for the weekend just for fun, this was the closest place to our hotel and it was the perfect way to start our weekend! Bartender was great, friendly, and had wonderful food suggestions. The maple bacon wings were awesome and the eggrolls delicious! We would definitely come back next time were in town!

Outstanding Reuben...strongly suggest this sandwich...matches perfectly with their very good house made potato salad. Comes with their own dill pickle/ seasoned cucumber. Nice folks...cool interior. Highly recommend!

We were there after my daughters cheer competition on Saturday. It was horrible. The waitress and service were more than poor, food was awful. We sent back appetizers because not fully cooked and they brought back same dish that we had bitten into just recooked!! We travel a lot for kids sports and by far worst place I have come across in a while. I don’t even usually review restaurants good or bad but I felt like I needed to let people know how bad of an experience it was from service to wait to food.

First time was great! Exactly what you would want in a place you can call your spot. Service was on point, food is authentically inspired and delicious. Drinks are fairly priced. Second time...service was HORRIBLE. We were only there for drinks and atmosphere; service was needed and it was lacking. All in all, I highly recommend Murphy's as a night out or your Go to Spot. Oh!, they have darts!

Atmosphere was fantastic and the service was also great. But the food was less than stellar. I had the fish and chips and my daughter had a burger. We shared our meals. The fish was tasteless and the burger had a very different taste that I wasn’t fond of. The fries were the best part of our meal. I’d go back to have a pint at the bar, but that would be it.
