This was my first time visiting, but certainly will not be my last. Richard was an excellent waiter. Made awesome suggestions, delivered the food at a great pace and never let a drink go dry. The food was surprisingly delicious. Soups were fabulous and not salty. Every course was superb and not at what I expected. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a culinary masterpiece that does not break the bank.

So glad I found good Italian food on my vacation. I got a seafood and pasta dish. The fresh pasta soaked up the sauce fantastically. The rice balls and meatballs where awesome as well. Our waitress was more then good. Kept my drink full, and kept our food coming.

I have been to this restaurant and take out many times over the course of many years and they simply have all that you need. Service is always top notch wether you sit down or take out. Had dinner here for my daughters 9th birthday our waitress was very nice and attentive we informed her it was a dinner for my daughter she treated her very nice. When dinner arrived I ordered the lobster ravioli and the middle was cold. The waitress took it right back the manager came out took it off my bill and gave us all free desert they also sang happy bday and made my lil ones day!!!. I wrapped my meal as we were there for a while and ate it when I got home the Ravioli was amazing and cooked well!!!! I would definitely return and my family all loved thier meals!

Luigi's Restaurant has always been a pretty good place to get something to eat. But I was there for dinner(buffet) on Tuesday afternoon. The meals were: salad(huge amount), penne all vodka, chicken marsala and fish. There was a lot of salad and the chicken looked as if only 5 cutlets had been used and cut real thin. The penne alla vodka was very good(but you really can't screw up penne). I will think again about going to Luigi's again. Maybe next time I'll just order off of the menu. The drinks were very good. The bartender was very efficient-nice pour in my Bourbon the rocks (Again how can you screw that up). I'm giving them a 2.5 out of 3 stars.

Food is great ask for Jamie or Kim they are amazing. Always have the answers to any questions. they get you in and out quickly and always have a smile to greet you with. The Chicken escarole soup is a must they sell it by the gallon if you want to bring it home for the family. No meal is a bad meal here. I highly recommend. It's always busy that's how you know it's good.

For a restaurant that is well respected and provides flavorful food I was very surprised and disappointed during my visit this evening. I ordered the pasta with white clam sauce. The entree was $16.99 with your choice of pasta. This dish is traditionally ordered with spaghetti and that is how I ordered it. When it arrived I noticed that their wasn't a lot of spaghetti but the clams were plentiful and the flavor was very good. When I received the bill I noticed that they had added an additional charge of $1.50 to the entree bringing the total to $18.49 when I asked the waiter what the extra $1.50 was for he told me it was because it was made with "home made" spaghetti. I reminded him that the menu states "choice of pasta" there is no mention of "home made" pasta or that there is an additional charge for such. I asked him who choose the "home made" pasta since I did not ! Of course he had no answer. Please understand that I am not trying to be petty or cheap but I am annoyed and disappointed that a place like this , that brags about their history and better quality, would resort to this petty scam. Classless ! Business must be bad when you have to resort to concealed charges to make and extra buck.

This place was awesome. The help was great, the dining area had plenty of room, there were TVs for entertainment, and the food was amazing. Best of all, we didn't have to wait a long time for our food to be prepared. I'm so glad I decided to give this place a chance for lunch, because it was so good that we ended up ordering dinner to go for later as well.

The restaurant is meh, but the express is awesome! It's my husband and my go to place when we don't know what we want to eat. Favorites are: chicken franchais, beef stew, beef barely soup, Mediterranean salad, the American chop suey, limoncello cake, alforno.

First time eating at this restaurant. Very pleased. Baked stuffed scrod was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. Prices were reasonable. We waited 45min but it was mothers day. Very much understood. Staff was nice and attentive. This will be my go to when my wife and I want to dine out. Will be back more than once.

I was there this Easter it was terrible my husband ordered the ham dinner you would not believe it it looked like sliced coldcut I ordered the pork shank over popadell past was hard and the pork was dark brown and tasted old I should have sent it back I was the fool do not go there on holidays this ruined my whole day never again

Went for the first time I had a craving for chicken marsala and my husband aways orders veal. Very disappointed, chicken were two pieces of hard very white flat tastless chicken. The first bite did not taste good and food was cold. My husband was also dissatisfied, sauce was very sweet and no flavor. Waitress was ok she served us and that was it. I'm sorry but first and last time I visit. Sixty dollars later not worth it.

Great place for lunch! The portions were generous and staff was nice. I had the Luigi's Cuban and it was fantastic. BBQ was perfect and the ham was delicious!! Bathrooms could use a bit more attention....sink and toilet were dirty.

Horrible experience. We went for Easter dinner and we were massively dissatisfied. Granted it was a busy holiday time but our service was horrible. It started with a dirty water glass with food stuck on it. We we're never greeted by our waitress just a quick be with you soon. Many minutes later she came to take our order for dinner. There was no offer to get us drinks at all. Food service was super slow. It took about 20 minutes to get dinner salads. And it took over an hour after we sat to get our entrees. My beef medallions looked more like shaved steak and the eggplant on top was so overcooked it was hard to cut with a knife. And throughout the dinner we were never asked if we wanted drinks at all!! Just a bad experience all around.

Food is great if you can figure out what is orderable. The place is highly confusing. Stuff behind the counter you can order some you can't. Drinks are a different place. No idea what kind of coffee you can order. You need to "know a guy" there to make it easy. Stay away if you don't want agravation.

Luigi's food game is on point when scouting out good restaurant recruits in the Johnston area. It takes up enough of a strip mall to give it some gravitas, but doesn't have the feel of comparable food places. You got a take-out deli with standup tables, and a restaurant that you'd be 'gagootz' to miss. (That's slang for 'crazy in the head.') Their Amalfi Coast menu in the restaurant section has indicators of what is gluten-free and has nutritional stats on the food. They have a surf-and-turf that beats a lot of the downtown Providence prices. Their plates will have you bringing a doggie bag home, unless you have two stomachs. Overall, Luigi's is a wonderful experience. Check this out if your traveling down the I-295 or Route 6 corridor.

Food was good service was OK waitress had no problem getting to the table quickly for the men but a little slow on us women. I would return prices are average from 15 to 25 approximately. One review said the tables were not close however they are if I had a migraine I would not be in the main dining Room. Of course there was a large party taking up the entire side that we were on so maybe on a different day it would be quiet. Would I recommend this place Yes as there was no problems with the food and they will substitute if there is something you don't like with the entree like the risotto can be substituted for potato and vegetable.

Table was ready on time. Service was prompt and friendly. We were a party of four and everyone was very happy with their food. One of us has to eat gluten free and was very impressed with the menu choices. The bill was very reasonable. Definitely will frequent this restaurant more often.

Went in for dinner tonite Steve greeted us so warmly and is so knowledgeable when we asked about gf menu. Our waiter Richard is top notch friendly knowledgeable accommodating made us feel right at home. The service was so personable. And the food was amazing the gf chicken parmigiana with penne is the best I have ever had you would not be able to tell if you weren’t gluten free The portions are great we will definitely become regulars. Oh and thanks for the cookie A must try establishment

The food was very good but the waitress left a lot to be desired as did the miserable hostess. The waitress seemed in a hurry for us to order, eat and leave! I am a slower eater than my friends, and unfortunately I put my fork down to answer my friend, when my plate was whisked away to be boxed to take home! While we were all talking the waitress did ask if all of us wanted one check or separate checks. It came on one when we realized it should be separated, as some did not have cocktails. I called to the waitress who ignored me so when the hostess came by I asked her if she would do it. She said sure but will charge each one of us 25% gratuity! Gee all this time I thought gratuity was something I gave for excellent service which I surely didn't receive tonight. So if it's more than just you eating at Luigi's, I suggest you get separate checks and add your own gratuity!

First time visit, fantastic menu, atmosphere and waiter, Richard was very attentive to all our possible needs and had great suggestions. Food was fabulous and fresh with hand made pasta available. This restaurant has premade food available to take home and warm up and ready for takeout. There is also an Express side available to get your food and cafe style seating to sit and eat. Excellent experience and enjoyable meal. Glad we went and can't wait to go back.

Foods really good for prepared food that has to be reheated. Only problem is I try to get my favorite thing which is the stuffed chicken every time I go there and it's always sold out and they have no more left. Shouldn't that tell them it's a hot item and maybe they should make more? Other than that there are very few places you can get a healthy home cooked meal on the go and this is the closest you will get to a home cooked meal.

Charged me 17 dollars for lasagna and 2 meatballs. Then served it to me cold. It was lunch! So. Did take half home and had lunch the next day. The lobster claw dessert was very tasty. Coffee was delicious too. Will definitely give them a full 2nd chance!

This was the first time I ate there. My waiter Richard was top notch and I drink around 5 glasses of water during dinner and I never had to wait for a refill. The food was all cooked to perfection.I had Prime Rib ( excellent ) 2 others with me had Chicken Parm also excellent. They handled the easter rush with top professionalism and satisfaction. I would eat there again. And if you want great service request Richard for your server .

Huge variety of fresh and healthy salads. Had the lentils, corn, peppers, onions and cucumbers salad and the chicken I picked was so darn tasty. It was an unexpected surprise. Not sure which one it was, it was grilled and did not have sauce or veggies with it. Their small chocolate chip cookies are amazing and the service at the takeout counter is always good! 5 stars for cookies, chicken and service!

Had a craving for some spagehtti and meatballs and I was right around the corner from Luigi's so I decided to stop and have dinner. It's been a while since I've been to Luigi's but not much has changed. Still great food at reasonable prices. Also, very generous portions. I ate only half of my meal and brought the rest home to enjoy it again the next evening.
