The appetizers were good and came as expected after reading all the rave reviews. However, my friend and I both ordered the Pacumuto Skewer and despite ordering the steak portion medium rare, it was served well done. The chicken thighs were overdone as well and not even edible let alone enjoyable except for maybe a bite or two in the middle. And the Chorizo seemed to be store bought kielbasa which was a let down as well. My friend's skewer was overdone as well. I'm now looking up ways to use up dry chicken as I'm not throwing away $30 worth of meat.

What great service and food! We sat outside on this cool Fall weather and I was personally impressed with the heater lamps that kept me soo warm & cozy with a wonderful view of the pond. The waiters ad staff frequently made their rounds to make sure everything was good. Such wonderful service!

Don’t be fooled by the neighborhood and outside facade of this restaurant. Waiting for you inside is excellent, friendly service and one of the best meals we have ever had! We were in from out of town and did not know to make reservations....a must if you want a table (long wait without one). We opted to sit at the bar and had outstanding service, plus got to watch them make all of their interesting and yummy cocktails. We are now big fans of Peruvian food! Wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars!!

Wow!! Sat at the bar for dinner after picking up my son at the train station. Los Andes was recommended by a friend. Meg was our bartender and server. She was friendly, professional and super knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients. Huge portions and the flavors were amazing. I had never had Peruvian food before, but will be sure to return.

Impressive. Luckily I made a reservation for 7 at 5 P.M. on a Friday. The bar and restaurant are always packed and once you have experienced it there is no question why. Large portioned savory plates that are prepared in a timely manner but doesn’t degrade the final product. Highly recommended.

Here's the deal. This place will wow you and service is immaculate. The problem is that the food is nothing to talk about, nothing to stand on. They took plebian indigenous food and made it very expensive. For example the Bistec (bitoque) can be had at a local Filipino or Portuguese restaurant for $9 with much more taste (rice with garlic as oppose to just plain rice) Seriously. The chicken roll was bland. They use french fries and bland white rice as side servings. We were carbohydrated and didnt eat any of it. We dont mind paying for espensive dinner restaurants but I'm afraid that the place spent way too much focus on the wow factor rather than the taste of their food. Sorry but we will pass next time.

This place is ALWAYS packed, and you'll see why when you eat here. Amazing food, reasonable prices, and big portions. Don't be fooled by the outside of the restaurant. Inside, it's fully renovated and very nice. If the weather is lovely, ask about sitting outside on the patio! There, they have live music, cute and cozy string lights, and a koi pond. Your date will be impressed.

There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. Our server Mandy was excellent!!! She took her time to explain things thoroughly to us "newbies". She never rushed passed us and continued to check with us even when she was super busy. Food was awesome as well. We will definitely return!

Love the atmosphere, made me feel like I was at home. Im from North NJ and was up in Massachusetts visiting my girlfriend’s family so we searched for a restaurant to eat at and found this great location. Los Andes feels and looks like the Latin restaurants from back home. Once we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a host who’s ready to sit you down. We had drinks at the bar and were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered the Ceviche Martini and I can’t express how delicious it was. Our entrees were even more amazing and we’ll definitely be coming back the next time we visit.

So good that I can't believe it is in the US. This restaurant would be not good but great in any Latin American country. Not only was verything we tried good, but every dish we saw pass by looked great. The customer mix is also quite amazing. Service is also very good, especially when all the waiters/waitresses seem happy. This was a Sunday afternoon with lots of families (very kid friendly). From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once you step past the narrow bar entrance you are in an oasis.

The last 3 times I visited Los Andes service and food have been a disappointment! It seems they have an apprenticeship program in the kitchen and the waiter/waitresses are lacking the proper training, I think since they have expanded so much what made them the best is shrinking a lot too...

First time trying ceviche and it was excellent. Rest of the food was great, too. Also, if you have a picky toddler, they have chicken tenders ( not on menu, but readily offered by the server). We went with the kids and they loved the music and koi pond. Definitely worth the trip!

When a Bolivian coworker heard we were going to Providence he immediately recommended Los Andes, we will do the same from now on as well most definitely.

This place is amazing. Always a great dining experience. The service here if impeccable. Servers are knowledgeable in everything on the menu and will offer great suggestions. The lobster paella is my favorite menu item. Not to take from any of the other wonderful dishes. Their ceviche is out of this world and they have different styles for everyone's taste buds. I can't recommend this place enough. When in Providence this place is a must.

Much ado about nothing sadly. Unfortunately, all the hype about this restaurant did not match the experience. Service was phenomenal and attentive - absolutely. However, the dishes were a huge letdown. The chicken dish we ordered was pitiful. It almost reminded me of a tv dinner meal. It was dry. Precooked and sat around maybe? The steak dish was very chewy but flavor was ok. The seafood special appetizer was good though. Overall, it was ok - just not up to the expectations I had going in. I would not come again though.

He treated us very well the whole staff give us a great customer service. Delicious food and drinks. By the way try their Lola's blue cabana mix drink. The staff was very kind and the wait during lunch on a Sunday wasn't long at all. This was my first time trying Peruvian food and I thought it was amazing! We had the cuñapo, the chicharron and the chicken with rice. The portions were very big and one dish was enough to feed two people.

Does the restaurant live up to the hype - ABSOLUTELY! First time here after many recommendations and there is no doubt why this is one of Rhode Island's best establishments. I eat steak 90% of the times I dine out and always lean cuts like filets. The 16 oz black angus prime rib would not normally be my choice but Marce made it sound very interesting. A 16 oz prime rib anywhere else is about 9 oz of meat and 7 oz of fat, not here, it is HUGE and almost all beautiful steak! The au jus and mashed potatoes are Amazing as well! One of the best steaks I have ever had. My companion had the 12oz angus top sirloin - "bisteca andina" and it was awesome. The staff was numerous, attentive, and always by your side when you needed them! This restaurant should be on everyone's bucket list. We will be back!

I have been here twice, and each time was extraordinary. I knew I was bound to come back. And tonight, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Not only was the food flavorful and exemplary, but the service was 10/10. Our waiters, Mamadou and Saint, were so incredible to us. They were extremely knowledgeable and so very polite - I will come back purely in the hopes of having them as my servers next time. I am also certain Saint will never forget the look on my face when my boyfriend stole my slice of chocolate cake, too! Haha. The seafood was fantastic and fresh, and my prime rib was outstanding. Thank you, to my lovely servers that took care of my boyfriend and I, and to Los Andes for it another fantastic and memorable meal!

This restaurant has a great ambience, perfect for anything between a lunch with friends to business meetings. The menu is quite comprehensive, containing staple Peruvian items as well as some Chifa cuisine elements. The heart skewers (anticuchos) are exceptionally tender and flavorful and the main plate portions are outstanding. Even though it is pricier than your regular Peruvian joint the decor, portions, presentation and service level make up for that gap. I recommend this place.

Stars are for the service alone. -Wait: We had reservations and still waited >15 mins. -Food: We ordered their two most expensive entres (at the waiter's suggestion), totaling ~$100. The lobster was overcooked, rubbery and not flavorful. The steak dish tasted like cooking fuel had been accidentally dumped into it. Even apart from the fuel taste and overcooked lobster, the rest of the dish was unimpressive. -Service: Excellent. Prompt, attentive, professional, very knowledgeable and made it feel like a real fine dining experience! Which, unfortunately, it was not.

Waited an hour and a half to get seated. The service and food was great once we were seated and certainly reminded me why my family and I love this place. However, if you are coming for dinner from Friday to the weekend, go with a snack and lots of patience.

Holy cow was this place amazing, way bigger inside than you'd think, I would probably suggest reservations for large parties. Our party of 2 waited 10 minute at around 7 pm. The food was delicious and the service was quick without feeling rushed and attentive enough you felt good to be seen, definitely will be back, oh and parking is kinda tight.
