As of day this firm has a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 592 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is practically the best one, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we may say that the assessment is very credible. If people have bothered to give their score when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Korean restaurant.
We've been here a number of times. It is a very casual neighborhood atmosphere. You're given a menu on entering and asked to find your own seat. When you're ready to order you go up to the counter place your order and get a number for your table. Food is brought out to you as soon as it's ready. We have always had a great experience. Food is good, service is excellent, staff is super friendly, and atmosphere is nice. The staff are super helpful at explaining the dishes and offering suggestions. Don't let the fast pace stop you from asking questions. The only real downsides are that the acoustics in the place make it very loud and parking is tough. Neither should stop you from this wonderful experience!
Best Korean food in Providence.
Really good gyoza and ramen. Great price. Atmosphere is is pleasant as well.
Excellent food, reasonably priced n good vegetarian options....must visit in Providence
Good food..Friendly staff..love the place.
Good Korean foods with modern twist cater to non native. Long wait around dinner time. Good services.
Food very good and Amazing hospitality
This is a pretty solid korean/japanese spot in Providence, but coming from NY, I've had better of course, so my expectations for korean and japanese food are a little higher. I gave this place 4 stars, because it is an establishment in Providence and I think they do very well for this area, but I would not give that if they were in NY. Main course: Beef Japchae: decent, but I've definitely had better. I feel like I could've cooked this japchae myself. The truly disappointing thing is that the beef in the japchae was horrible. It was SO tough and dry. My friend who go the hot stone bibimbap with beef had the same issue. It was tough to chew. The noodles itself is fine, but I feel like it was just drowned in some sauce and was slightly overcooked. This dish also comes with rice, which is strange, but not complaining. Spicy Pork and Squid: Now this dish is what made me raise this 3 star place to 4 stars. This was the best dish of the night. It was cooked VERY well with the spicy sauce. The squid pieces could've been a little larger, but it's okay. Pork belly melted in your mouth. You are going to need a lot of rice with this dish though. Thankfully, we had a bowl of rice that came with the japchae to help us out. Appetizers: Den Den monkey balls: they were very good and unique - it had spicy tuna and mushroom in them and fried on the outside. Seafood pancake - I've had better for sure and larger amount. It should be out on a big pan and crispy filled with seafood. But this wasn't bad either. The sauce was good on the side and it was still a decent pancake. Overall, this is a solid spot and if I lived in Providence, this would be one of my go to spots for asian food.
Very good good at a great price! Super friendly helpful staff. Very clean. I had Yaki Soba and it was fantastic!
Amazing fresh food!!
After our lunch here (bibimbap and albap) we get why this is so popular. The food was delicious! During busy lunch hours, the food takes up to an hour to be ready. They informed us of this before we placed our order so we were prepared. They assign you a table when you walk into the place, then you have to go order food and drinks at the counter and it's brought to your table as it's ready. Everybody who works here was really friendly.
The noodle soup is great for its price. The Udon is reasonable for its size.
Free Parking, amazing food, good prices.
Great meal and parking was good to
Best way to sum up my experience is that I've never regretted spending my money here. The food is so flavorful but also presented beautifully. When you walk in you're greeted by a delicious savory aroma too, so it's pleasing to many senses :) Of course my go to here is the 비빔밥 bibimbap with beef and a fried egg. It's a very fun experience eating out of a hot stone pot. I especially enjoy the sizzling sound. The japchae is also delicious, very flavorful. Overall haven't been disappointed with the food yet. I'd recommend the tofu kimchi app if you love kimchi, and the potatoe twister for the comfort food lover. Den den monkey balls are yummy too. Another great aspect to this place is the service. Food has always been served quickly and staff are attentive to needs. I also enjoy their process of ordering and paying up front, and then sitting down. You don't feel hurried along by a waiter bringing a check or go through that little inconvenience of splitting the bill. Only criticism I could think of is their banchan. Maybe it's because I usually go on Sundays, but the side dishes are always the same. It would be nice to experience a greater variety of the many different korean side dishes that exist :)
Fantastic food, very healthy, high quality and flavorful. Staff is warm and friendly. Atmosphere is great.
Modern Korean cuisine that we enjoyed so much. Welcoming restaurant staff made our days. We ordered rice cake with Korean spicy sauce, fried chicken and beef bulgogi soup, every dish is so yummy!! Would definitely revisit next time in Providence.
Great place for Asian food
Stone pot bibimbap was delicious and the portions are great!
If looking for Korean food in RI, this is a must stop. There are a few favorites dishes amongst the crowd, but you can trust that every dish is done with great quality and amazing flavors. I also enjoy the relax atmosphere, how helpful the staff is and that I can grab a glass of wine or coffee.
Awesome food!
We were able to get table quickly. The food was amazing, even the appetizers had our taste buds dancing. The staff was super friendly, monitored if we needed drinks and 3 people bid us a fair well. Great place, good service, casual attire and food is phenominal!
Delish! Great Asian food. Our RISD student eats here when he can and better yet takes us here when we visit.
De best! 100% recommend.
I met the owner. And had a chance to work in the kitchen(doing plumbing)... i can tell u this is a very clean and well run establishment . the owner is very particular about the food and overall reputation of denden.great style and .i would eat here any day ... 2 locations also.
Den Den Cafe is quite simply good. This is excellent, reasonably priced Korean food. The restaurant itself is a comfortable space, somewhat small but well-used, making this a great date spot. You walk in, get seated, but order and pay up at the bar. Wait staff bring you the meal. This catches some first-time visitors off guard sometimes. The menu isn't the largest, but often I think that's best. A place can't really be good at everything. You're bound to find something on the menu for everyone. The kimchi pancake is one of my favorites. I always and readily recommend Den Den Cafe when anyone is looking for Korean or just a good meal.
Great food. Casual dining
I’ve eaten here more times than I can count, for years. But about two days ago I came here for dinner and had a great time. Wasn’t until about midnight that I felt very ill and caught food poisoning. I’m not sure if it was the appetizers or my bibimbap but how sick I am now is insane and I’m so upset it’s from one of my favorite restaurants.
Came here for the last 4 times. It's pretty affordable and the food is great! The Korean ramen is so good! It's a very clean establishment, very chill atmosphere. A great place to hang out and have a drink with some friends. The staff are so nice and patient. One waitress discovered I was accidentally given mushrooms in my ramen (I get a reaction, I get rashes on my cheeks, no biggie. I let them know but it was a busy night I guess so maybe they forgot, it's cool!) anyways, the waitress gave me a bowl of ramen on the house when I told her about it. So SWEET. I'll always appreciate that kindness. ❤
Absolutely fabulous. My vege tofu stew was served piping hot and was super spicy. Came with a fresh egg that I cracked into the bowl, where it cooked. Waitstaff were friendly too :)
Great service. Pay upfront then your order is served to your table. Clean large relaxing place to eat at. Will come back again.
Best Korean food in Rhode Island! We split the Korean beef fried rice and spicy barbecue pork, both are bursting with flavor. The staff is friendly and timely. The floor needed to be moped and was a bit sticky.
Nice place. Clean. Everyone is attentive and nice. Food is all delicious. Fast service. Variety of food and desserts
What a unique and awesome menu. Customer service, especially when they aren't mobbed and have time, is great. Hot bowl is outstanding.
Came here a couple of times when I had a craving for Korean food. Noodles are good, kikimbap okay. Friendly staff. Nice location altho a bit far from brown campus.
Service was not very warm but the food was great
Excellent fresh tasty food with unusual flavors. The place is a little loud, they don't have enough soundproofing
I’m from Denver and I came here while visiting, the best dumplings I’ve ever had. I’ll be going back again while I’m in town.
Fist time at a Korean restaurant. definitely didn't regret it .we'll be back.
Great atmosphere, great food with great presentation.
Great place to have a good meal.
We came here for dinner, and besides it being rather warm inside, the food was delicious. The service was also really great.
Bibimbap with chopsticks is a meal and workout. Don't reccomend if you have carpal tunnel syndrome otherwise frickin amazing. The bowls are hot! Don't touch the bowls!
Very friendly workers and an amazing food and drink
Nice, peaceful, laid back kind of place. Food was hot, delicious and lots of it!!! Soooo good.
Good but not wow. Great fun, good lighting. Love the scallion pancakes. Bibimbap delicious.
Lovely food
This place is SO good. The food is truly incredible. I have never enjoyed fried rice so much in my life--I get that in a place like this you wouldn't expect the review to be about fried rice, but I think that such a basic and simple dish was done so perfectly speaks volumes to all their food--ITS GOOD!
Their signature chicken is good.
Great food, friendly people
Great food nice people..little hit in side but well worth it...Bibim-Bop is a must..
Not crazy about the "pick your drink by yourself". Service is questionable and it can get pretty busy too.
Great korean and japanese food in Rhode Island. The japcae and eel dish are very good.
Great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices!
Quasi Asian Americana style. Nice fresh options to mix and match
This place was the best. The bento here is so pretty. They also have delicious ice cream. I really wish I could go back, but I took vow to only eat at any resturant only once. Alas, I cry bitter tears at the faustian bargain I have entered. Look at me and see your fate if with the dark powers you bargain.
Great restaurant! Authentic Japanese/Korean food and friendly staff.
Outstanding! This is one of the only restaurants that I can play "menu roulette" and never go wrong. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. This one, the one off Benefit has a nice casual cafe appeal to it whereas the other one near Thayer is much louder and cafeteria like.
We were so so excited to visit Den Den and hugely disappointed by the food. I ordered a chicken rice bowl, the chicken was boiled and had a disgusting smell, no flavour or taste. I wouldn't even give it to my dog. Also tried the korean BBQ which was below average and nothing special.
Great food, great service. Very busy! Go before 6 or after 7:30. Udon noodles were amazing :)
Tasty lunch, quick service, nice and casual
Great Asian food on College Hill!
The food was decent at best, took about a whole hour until it actually came and it was cold. The waiting staff served the rice about 20min before the actually entree came out and seemed too busy to update us on if there was a delay on our food. Not sure if I’ll be coming back here.
I have been here 3 times now. This last visit was a bit of a let down. The price has always been on the higher side. This time I felt the quality of the food was lacking and some of the dishes had been changed. I am not sure I would go back. The food quality definitely no longer matches the price.
Came for the first time on a very busy night. Everyone from host to person who delivered our food was delightful. Let us know they were running a little behind and we’re extremely apologetic. Told us this is not usually what people expect or what they expect. Super attentive. GREAT food. Will definitely be back!!!!
Amazing starters.... Den den monkey rolls are the best here
Always a pleasure. Don't expect the same wings as their thayer street cousin but do expect many other delicious options. Get the green tea ice cream!
Den Den offers consistently good Korean/Asian food (not the usual pan-Asian stuff) in an informal setting. I recommend the yaki soba and bbq chicken/pork as well as the two gyoza options, but many other good things are available.
We really liked this place. The staff were friendly, informative and efficient. They had a separate vegan menu which was great for some members of party. Very comfortable setting. Will go again when back in Providence
Great fast service and amazing flavorful food. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Best bibimbap I’ve ever had and I really can’t understand the flavors in every dish. Wish I lived in providence I’d go every week.
Really enjoyed this place, order and pay in advance at the counter then sit down. The woman at the counter was very nice and friendly and there was great service in the restaurant. The food was very quick and the presentation and taste was great for a quick lunch if you’re in the area. It’s definitely a favorite in the neighborhood as the place is always full and a favorite among the brown students.
A chic industrial vibe surrounds you once you walk in. The service is also very friendly. You are acknowledged right away as you walk in. The food is really good. We had the spicy chicken and tofu stew. We saw other tables getting some really tasting looking dishes and can't help want to to try those as well. Maybe next time.
One of the best Asian fusion restaurants in the city. Their fish Kushikatsu is simply phenomenal. I strongly recommend this place. It is usually busy and not a great place to sit down and work. I think "café" is a misnomer. This is more of a restaurant than a café, but it is a really excellent restaurant.
Delicious Korean/Asian food on the cheap. Large servings and liberal application of spices.
Den Den Cafe Asiana is churning out the city's best Korean food. Do you have any friends you're looking to introduce to Korean food? This place is the spot. The giant hot stone bibambap bowls are piled high with an oozy eggs, veggies, rice, kimchi, and your protein of choice. Be sure to mix up the bowl so can have some of the crispier rice in every bite! For apps, the gyoza, scallion pancake, and shrimp shumai are sure to please everyone. If you're super hungry I'd advise trying to go at an off-peak time--there can be a wait, but the staff are super wonderful and will take the time to answer any of your questions about the menu and Korean food.
Great food!
Fantastic food, great service. Went at a busy time but still got a seat and food came out quick. Will definitely go again.
Great service and great food, nice atmosphere. You get a lot of food and leave full
Best fried chicken I've had in RI. Dont recall ever having seeing cheese on a Korean menu before, but the cheese smothered KFC is a game changer
Cozy atmosphere.
Loved the meal and the atmosphere of the place! Definitely will be coming back. Staff is very nice.
Very good, casual dining experience. Can get in a great meal and good conversation, works perfectly after a long day's work
Good food, great price!
Great food and service. Really good, I'll definitely be back.
Food is fresh and well prepared. Cool and casual ambient. They also serve coffee.
Totally missed the fact that you have to go up and order, no one will take your order at the table. The food smelled amazing, though. Three stars for not making it clear that you order up front and just letting us sit there for 15 minutes, till we got frustrated and left.
Great food and really kind chill staff!! Also good drinks!
Wonderful food and even better staff
Great food, friendly staff. The portions are a good size and the prices are very reasonable. It's also very tastefully decorated in my opinion. Nice place for lunch or a date. Probably not the best place for a large party.
A good comforting korean/japanese eatery. The tteokbokki, japchae, kimbap, and stews are very good. Prices are decent and portion sizes are good. Location is a nice area as well which make it easy to get to.
Ok so ive been sitting on doing a review of this restaurant pretty much since it opened but i think its about time. Den Den to me is as close to a perfect restaurant as you can get, the food is always great I think the sign of a great restaurant is the consitency of their product and after being a returning customer for years i can say everythings tasted the same since day one. the service is always great theirs rarely a mistake but the second one does happen the staff is quick to act and fix it especially hye-won(sorry if i butchered your name) they have made us feel welcomed and taken care of since the day they arrived at den den. The space itself is very warm and comforting with its darkred brickwalls and wooden tabletops, it can be very packed but with its new side room waiting a long time is never an issue. If youve read this far please give den den a try i promise you wont regret it.
Excellent food!
Good fast casual dinning that is decently priced
Great food at incredible prices. I like their seafood fried rice, unaju, among many others. But I have to say the tuna salad is the best I've ever had (see pic). I'd eat at DenDen every single day if it wasn't for the steep hill I have to climb.
It is a busy place but I have to give only 3 stars because the food is not as good as I expect. It does not have enough Korean taste on my dish. I ordered squid and pork belly stir fried and it came out with a lot of chunk fat and onion. The place is small and I dont have enough space to put my winter jacket. I really like the design of the restaurant, the tuna kimbap but I dont think I will come back because of the taste of the entrees.
The best Asian food I've had in New England. The pork belly is to die for. It just melts in your mouth. The soft tofu stew and jap chae are also fabulous. You order at the counter, but they bring your food to the table, which is nice.
Squid and pork belly BBQ, OOOOOWEEEE GET OUTTA TOWN Friendly staff, pretty speedy service. Big fan of paying at the counter then table service, leave when you're done.
This is my favorite restaurant ever. Great prices, excellent service, I drive from north attleboro once a week for it, and it's absolutely worth it.
I gave them a four because I almost never give five but their food is delicious and authentic. The crew is nice every thing on the menu is good I usually stick with one the I really like a big
Always delicious...Bibimbap for the win.
Delicious and tasty. You will find all the signature Korean and Japanese dishes. I had the beef bibimbap with fried egg and it was delicious. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere is great! Somewhat unique with a coffee bar in the front, which is where you order once you're seated, and a separate additional dining area. The decor is very clean with a lot of beautiful exposed brick, in fact the separate dining area looks like it used to be an alleyway interestingly enough, if you pay attention to that sort of thing it gives you a little history in a way. Lots of college kids here, likely due in part to the pretty reasonable prices. The food itself was fantastic! We got the hot plate bibimbap and the soft tofu stew and both were true to Korean recipes but very clean compared to the Korean food my girlfriend grew up eating. The bibimbap included summer squash, radish, spinach and kale as well as the beef that we chose as the meat. The vegetables actually worked very well with the dish. Side dishes of kimchi and garlic broccoli also got the seal of approval.
Great place!
The food is amazing, and the service is great! I'd recommend the soft tofu stew.
Such fantastic food! Clean, great staff.
Loved the Korean hot pot
Fantastic food in a very modern and comfortable place.
Good vibe but really awesome spot if you like a double black diamond menu and food that takes an hour too cool down to safe consuming temperature.
Den Den is overpriced with poor standards of cleanliness and poor quality of food. From the moment we walked in, we could tell that we'd chosen the wrong place. But because Den Den had been recommended to us -- and also due to its 4.7 star rating on Google -- we decided to give it a chance. On arrival, we chose a large table in the corner. But they made us move because the table was "reserved for 'large' [i.e. six people] parties." Instead, we got a table that had just been cleared...and hadn't been wiped. The table "reserved for large parties" remained vacant for the hour-plus duration of our visit. The floor was sticky as well. We ordered their "signature dish," the Korean seafood pancake, for an appetizer. It was more of a squishy mixture of flour and little else -- including a shockingly few and tiny pieces of seafood for a "seafood pancake" -- than the proper seafood pancakes you find in any authentic Korean restaurant. "Seafood pancake" my foot! The entreés only confirmed our suspicion that contrary to its label as a "Korean" restaurant, Den Den is Americanized Asian food. The yaki soba and yaki udon were cooked in an overpoweringly sweet and decidedly un-Japanese sauce, which left an unpleasant lingering taste in my mouth. Several times I looked down at my plate and wondered what the heck I was eating, so unlike real Asian food was the food. In an attempt to dispel the taste of the sauce, I drank some of a companion's tempura udon soup, which, although not sweet, was the wrong degree of saltiness and also decidedly un-Japanese. Our free water glasses offered the only recourse. With a $40 bill for one underwhelming appetizer and three low-quality entreés, Den Den was a terrible experience. Those of you who understand real Asian food: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Den Den is a disgraceful purveyor of Asian cuisine and one that DOES NOT merit all of its various accolades.
Excellent food, great concept. Theyre like really busy and the service seems to reflect this.
Need to return to try sweet potato noodles
I thought the food was excellent and the staff are very friendly. I think they should consider full table service. The ordering is somewhat awkward because you can't have a tab. So my friend and I wanted a glass of wine to start so we paid for that, then we decided on dinner so we went and ordered that and paid for that. I wasn't sure if I should tip the regular 20% so I did. Other than that part it was delicious.
Absolutely delicious food! I went with my family and everyone had a lot of fun trying all the new and exciting foods!
Very good The food is awesome
Delicious, so good. Any opportunity to return I look forward to. Trendy but worthy of that label. Would recommend without any reservation, so good.
The food was EXQUISITE! I had a Seafood Yaki Soba with an iced ginger tea and it was so good. I couldn't eat it fast enough! The atmosphere is casual but the food is top notch. It can get a little loud inside the restaurant and it's rather small but it's a local student hang out, so it's understandable. Prices are worth it, believe me!
Their food was authentic & restaurant was very lively & young feeling. Loved to be there. Their hot pot Bibimbob was huge.
Good vibes! Good good and love the chic brick walls. Good date spot
Can't go wrong. Good selection and atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Responsive staff, didn't have to wait to be served, really good food, what more could you ask for?
Korean food was much better than the Japanese options
Absolutely love this place! My go-to choice to pick up a quick takeout meal.
Super friendly staff that greet you at the door. Wonderful drinks too.
Loved it. Lot many veg options too. Ice cream was awesome
Really good food, can be busy at times so make sure you call in advanced. I had their Garlic Friend Chicken bento which was great, but if I had to order again I would've got the bibimbap (looked really good)!
Good Korean food, including a few things beyond the basics. Feels new/trendy inside. Nice staff.
Definitely a new favorite place to study. Wonderful service and relaxed environment. The service is deliberately amazing. The food is delicious and filling. The ingredients are fresh and full of flavor.
The was my first time trying Korean food, and I was impressed. Tried lots of different items, and the flavors were crazy good. One of my favorite dishes was the ramen, which had a really tasty broth. Very good
Great value, superior service, and excellent food with fresh ingredients. In my party of 6, several of the dishes were delayed to the table because the Denden staff felt they had to remake 2 of them because it wasn't to their standard. The employee was very apologetic and offered several options as a consolation. The remade food didn't take long to come out at all, but we all appreciated how conscientious and sincere the restaurant was over what was actually a very minor inconvenience. The food was hot and fresh and tasted great! The vibe is modern and atmosphere is good. Second time coming here and would come back without hesitation!
Very good. Best iced London fog I have ever had. Bimbimbop also very good
I only tried the kimchi pancake, kimchi was lost in the pancake.
Great food at reasonable prices. Always have a good meal; love the bibimbap
I absolutely LOVE this place! I've ordered different things the few times I've been here and I've loved all of the dishes! Presentation and taste is amazing! Their drinks are good as well! I recommend their honey Ginger tea to tea lovers! There's a particular worker who's petite with short hair and takes orders who delivers EXCELLENT customer service! Very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful when trying to decide what to get and cheerful! Parking lot is small, so be prepared to park on the street. Even if you have to walk a bit, Den Den is worth the walk!
Serve mostly hot Korean and Japanese food. There is no table service here which is a little annoying but process isn't bad. Just walk up to the counter to order your meal and then a server will be bring it to your table. Besides that, service is fast and food is great. Lots of food and good to share!
Place is great. Spectacular array of originals and fusion. Unique take on staples. Full coffee bar for after your meal.
Yum...loved everything I got
Good monkey balls and noodle dishes. Interesting menu.
Great Korean food for a great price, would definitely recommend.
Yummy yummy yummy a most when in Providence ☺️
Recommended. Great Korean food. Great meal for the price. Would definitely go back again and again if I lived there.
Dumplings were delicious.
The food here is always good and the staff is so friendly! Don't pass up the mochi, it's hard to get good mochi in the US.
Good food.
I have been here twice now and both times I left very satisfied. The seafood scallion pancakes are a must! Staff is friendly and service is quick. I will be back for more
Amazingly delicious food, and the staff was awesome!
Very good and clean with a variety of different food tastes and preparation techniques. Reasonably priced.
We were looking for a place to use the potty (pregnant wife, so it’s about every 30 minutes), so we popped in here real quick. No intention of sitting down but the aroma was overpowering as soon as you walk in the door. Decided to split a Bibimpap with spicy chicken and it was off the charts delicious. It has a really good kick and the flavor is just fantastic. We would go back in a heartbeat if we’re ever in the area again. Highly recommended.
Very yummy food and big portions!
Great food. Cool decor and unassuming environment. I’d want to try everything on their menu.
Wow, incredible food. Prices aren't bad for the portion you get, the food is fresh as ever and the staff members are great. A really unique, fresh option that I wish was nearby me. Highly recommended.
A nice vibe to the place complementing pretty good Korean food. No you won't find hardcore Korean dishes here but then again, this is more of a casual bar that also happens to serve good bibimbaps. They opened a new wing next door that showcases a quieter seating area. While their parking lot is small, lots of street parking available in the area. Good service. Reasonably priced.
Great food and atmosphere. Price is a bit high but totally worth it.
I was very impressed with their menu variety of Japanese and Korean dishes. I want to come back and try everything. I ordered the pork Katsu donburi (rice bowl). Loved it! I also tried my friend's spicy Korean BBQ pork, which was delicious. Even though you order at the register, you still have servers refill your water giving you the feeling of a full service restaurant. Would recommend for lunch or dinner.
Best Korean food I've had in a while. Great portion sizes at a reasonable price.
The food was AMAZING. Was it worth the wait, first outside for a table, then inside at the counter.... I'll venture yes.
I love this place it so good. I love going to this place with my mom because they have the best gluten free option and taste wise is exquisite and delightful so if you want to have real authentic Korean food I would recommend to go and try it
Fantastic food! Excellent staff, quick service, and delicious recipes. Can be busy on the weekends, but you don't typically wait long.
