Food was good. Poor customer service. The older lady who was our waiter was drinking at the bar. Did not tip the waiter her attitude was not pleasant. I forgot my card she came out the restaurant waving the card at me with a attitude and basically threw my card at me.

I called this place, spoke to Angelo as I was wondering if they had shrimp curry. I don't think it was on the menu, but they were able to make it. Also got sesame chicken. Great food, good prices, and really friendly staff.

One of the better Chinese food places in the area..the food is always perfect, just as expected. Out of all the Chinese restaurants, this one has hands down the best pork fried rice. The portions are huge and the prices are better then any other Chinese restaurant in the area. Also, the staff are always so friendly and will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else for a great meal when it comes to Chinese food!

I'm being completely honest with this review. I have found a need to double check my take out orders at this restaurant. At first I discovered minor errors with my take out orders, nothing serious but for example a missing item or the wrong type of rice. It hasn't happened in months so maybe it was just a temporary situation. With that said, China Gourmet has by far the best food, I love this place. Their prices are just a little above average but well worth it. You get what you pay for and as far as we are concerned it's well worth it. The distance from my home takes me 25 minutes round trip, but China Gourmet is my first and only choice for Chinese food. I always get Chicken Chow mein combo and my wife gets Orange Chicken combo. Both are excellent and we keep going back for more. We are so happy that we found them 6 months ago. Well done and keep up the good work. Thank you!!

Truly mediocre Chinese food. The steamed pork dumplings were the big tip-off. 10 pounds of dough and some previously frozen pork interior. Go anywhere else. Like maybe home to whatever is in your refrigerator. Very nice family but they do not make up for disappointing meal.

I have been a customer of Asian taste since they opened. Over the last year they have changed their recipes on chicken fingers and spring rolls ect. They now use corn dog batter. Very greasy. I have stopped going. Been looking for a new place to go. I have found it. China Gourmet is delicious. Build your own Combos are loaded and worth the $$. Will definitely be a returning customer.

The tables and general appearance need help. The service sucked but after one request it improves dramatically. The food is phenomenally good. The prices are equally good. Was skeptical about going back for dine in service, but takeout is the best I've had.

I've been here on several occasions and always enjoyed the food & atmosphere. Unfortunately I will not longer come to this restaurant after today. We walked in, and the woman at the counter was taking what seemed to be a personal phone call. A man was folding boxes in the dining room. She seated us, while on the phone and continued her call for another 5 minutes. She came to the table, apologized and took our order - 2 soups and some entrees. Several people came and picked up there food. 10 minutes went by, and nothing. The owner(?) Seemed to start quietly arguing with the woman who was on the phone previously. 20 minutes went by. Still nothing. No one even checked on our table even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. After 30+ minutes and still not even a check in or even the appetizer of soup we ordered, we got up and left, extremely disappointed. I always made excuses for the extremely poor service we've previously received because it was mildly busy, but this is inexcusable. We will not be returning, and can see why the restaurant is not doing well.

Yummy food. Had the vegetable lo mein, a couple of sushi rolls, and some crab rangoon. Veggies tasted fresh, noodles were cooked properly. The crab rangoon are really really good. They're crispy and the filling was really nice, if a little stodgy. My only real complaint is that the rolls were pretty small.

China Gourmet is one of only two Chinese food places we like in the East Bay. It's usually really good Chinese food, and this meal was no exception. The combination plates are really good and filling, and the price is right. The fried dumplings are really good also. The pupu platter is a little different, with coconut shrimp and boneless rib meat cut into bite size pieces instead of real ribs, but still good.

As they say don't judge a book by its cover obtains to this restaurant, as it may not look appealing on the outside the food is pretty delicious as we had experienced so far. The prices are fair for most part. The crab Rangoons are probably the best we have had out of all asian restaurants we've been to. Another plus is if you are in their delivery area, it is free over $20 which of course we always exceed.

Decided to try a new place for Chinese food. Glad we did! China Gourmet had excellant food with good prices! The waitress was very personalable and helpful, the restaurant was bright and clean. We will be visiting again and will be sure to get take out during our fishing time at Sabin's Point.

The beef with garlic source was very good. The meat was nice and tender, the sauce flavorful, and the vegetables cooked perfectly (not too hard, not too soft). The crab rangoon was good as well. They have a slightly sweet flavor to them though. It didn't make them bad, just a little different than what I'm used to.

This place has some of the best Chinese food around. All the food was fresh and it came to our table piping hot. For appetizers we had crab Rangoon and beef teriyaki. They both were awesome! The make the best crab Rangoon. They serve them nice and hot, they were crispy and stuffed full of cream cheese and crab. The beef teriyaki was excellent also. They use thicker cuts of beef and they were juicy with great flavor. For the main dish I had General Tso's chicken with fried rice. It was spectacular!

The portion sizes are very generous and very well priced. Their sushi is fresh and well prepared. They also have a fully stocked bar if you need to pair your food with a drink. Their combo platters are the best option as you get to pick three choices out of at least 10 with a side or rice and your choice of French fries, soup, or egg roll for around $10.
