My mother and I had a wonderful lunch here! We both had half a sandwich and a side, she got soup and I got a salad! The price is absolutely right at $5.99, you cannot go wrong! And it is plenty of food! This restaurant had very clean bathrooms, and our waiter was wonderful! The music playing in the background was great too, it was an overall great experience!

I give it a 3 minus because I had to wait 10 minutes after we were seated and then I had to go back to Hostess desk to get a waiter. Then after I got my salad I had a molded tomato, and when I did get my entree my fries came after my meal was gone. Out of all of that the waiter actually was very good and sharp. Afterwards I asked for the Mgr and shared my experience and he appeared genuine in his appreciation of what I told him so much so he gave me free desert, I would still go back.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon. Chris was our bartender. Very pleasant. Best clam cakes we ever had. Chicken wings very flavorful. We lucked out with it being 1/2 price apps. Enjoyed quiet relaxing seat at the bar. Hate it when you go somewhere and all you get is loud obnoxious people at the bar.

Last time for me! Ordered appetizer sampler and not only did it look gross in the box, but only 1 sauce was included. No sour cream, no blue cheese! And, the sandwich ordered fell apart in the box. Chelo's has gone downhill and I am not goung back to the Providence location again.

Still same Chellos, great food and service. However the renovations to open the bar up and join it with the seating area not so good. The bar is made larger, however there policy on serving alcohol is a two drink maximum in most cases, so why encroach the area into the dining room.

I see the critics but it's unfair. I know the owners and the food is of the best quality and the seafood have awards, well earned. I prefer the Silver Spring location in Providence. Half million upgrade new look too! Also, prices are reasonable and they have really nice lunch specials.

Fun, clean restaurant. We ate later at night, and the place was pretty busy for not being a sports bar or pub. I'd classify it as an updated diner, with a bar, a dessert display case, and a list of seasonal food and drink specials. Instead of the counter, they have a bar top. Our dinner came pretty quick, and the food was pretty good. The staff was friendly and the service was good. I'd consider going back here for lunch or dinner another time. It's also one location of a chain, with a few around the state (RI).

Has always been my favorite of all the chelo's. Waitstaff has been the best since I was just a kid. The remodel is very nice, really like the new layout. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the quality of food has consistently become worse everytime I visit. My husband and I ordered specials, I had fish and chips he had the rib eye. His steak looked, smelled, and tasted as if it had been warmed up in a microwave. My fish and chips had such a strong taste of nutmeg or cinnamon I'm not sure which but it was so sweet I could not eat it. We order appetizers too, potato skins and mozzarella sticks. Potato skins hardly had any bacon on them, and the few pieces that were on there were fatty and inedible. Mozzarella were fine. Drinks were good. Waitress was nice. Food was not good. Will return but will stick to what I love. Chicken pot pie

Looked at the menu online last week and thought they did a nice job with it and had about 5 items I wanted to try. 3 of us went. I decided on the buffalo fried chicken mac & cheese. Was a little taken back by the oval casserole dish of my meal was in, most places use a large bowl to make it look bigger than it is. It was ok. The turkey dinner was very short on turkey. Manager did make amends to the original 3 to 4 ounce portion it came out with. The chips and salsa were a joke. Chips were hard and again a very paltry amount of them.

We hosted a baby shower in the banquet room and overall it went great! The room wasnt setup properly when we arrived and they had already poured the champagne toast 2 hrs early.
