Notorious Chace

This is such a great venue for outdoor dinning and cocktails. If you arrive after 8:00 the food production seems to slow and you end up waiting way too long. I'll return but before 7:00 enjoy the atmosphere and views of the Bay.

Such a great place to spend a hot summer Saturday late afternoon. We sat at the bar upstairs where Melissa made us some fabulous drinks. Clamcakes and Steamers for an appetizer - both were excellent but the steamers were just a little sandy. Split a summer salad and a burger with my sister and it was plenty for both of us. Perfect medium rare. Great spot to watch the band and relax. We never felt rushed and everyone was really friendly. We will be back.

It's bigger than I expected and the wait staff are not only nice but work together! I'm not a die hard seafood water so it was tough finding a choice. I read menu several times. But I chose the grilled chicken with avocado, smoked bacon and I asked for cheddar cheese. My drink was the mint cucumber

Its more water adjacent than waterfront. Don't come here expecting to be eating with water views. They do have outdoor seating on the second floor where you can have that view but the majority of the seating your view is of boats. Now that doesn't mean that this place isn't good to go to. They will have bands perform from time to time and up to 2 outdoor bars.

Beautiful and relaxed setting. Great outdoor setup with a two- level deck, and big fire pit. I had a shrimp Caesar salad and it had a good number of large shrimp. Really tasty.

Beautiful place..our first time there to see a local band, The Sun Kings. I had the clear chowder and clamcakes. Very good..almost as good as my mother's..lol Others in my party had the baked scrod and that looked very good too. Another had the fish tacos and my husband had the ribeye steak. We also had dessert which had blueberries, strawberries & bananas..HUGE slice, glad I shared it. Deck on the water was very nice. Plan on going back in the future. It does have a different menu than the other Chelo's I've been to. Good food all around!

This was hands down the WORST restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. I went in with my wife to grab lunch and was seated a table for two. My wife ordered some sort of sandwich, I can't remember what she got exactly, but she said it was ok, nothing special. My lunch,... an absolute train wreck. Let me start off by saying I never send food back, I usually complain by not going back, that's it, but this was beyond bad. My waiter was some high school or college kid who plainly didn't care about anything. He was off chatting up the girls working there with him, just very bad. I had ordered the stuffed scrod with broccoli as my side. When he brought the plate out, the broccoli was in a plastic bag on the plate. So that means the cook microwaved a bag of broccoli and didn't bother to take it out of the bag, he plated it that way. Who ever was running the pass, didn't do any quality control, and the waiter carried it out from the kitchen that way and didn't notice, disgusting. I pointed it out right away and the kid was like, oh, sorry I didn't notice, and walked off with it. He came back in 30 seconds, clearly all he did was dump out the microwaved broccoli on my plate and came back. What kind of restaurant microwaves their food? This isn't Applebees here I'm talking about. Next the scrod, omg, barf. It was slimy and immediately tasted off. Aft two or three bites, I had to call the kid back and asked him to take it away, I was done at this point. I did not want anything else and was disgusted. I waited while my wife finished her sandwich, and became increasingly more sick to my stomach. I paid for the sandwich only, to their credit they did not attempt to charge me for my meal. I ended up in the restroom as I left and vomited. This place made me sick within 20 minutes of eating there. I have never got sick from a restaurant and like I said don't send food back, but this was the exception. I can't stress this enough,.... DO NOT EAT THERE!! It is literally the worst place I have ever been to, and I would never go back even if it was free, or they paid me! The other Chelo locations are fine, never had a problem. This place is the pits, gross!!!

Place was fun, only problem there was a lot of police and bouncer presence at this place. Which only tells me that people must get very drunk and stupid. Plus a lot of weird people which makes it fun if you like to people watch. Food was ok, not great. Live band that night was excellent, had everyone dancing including myself.

Chelo’s is fantastic. Great for any kind of occasion and it’s reasonably priced compared to the rest of East Greenwich. Parking is abundant and they also offer valet. Chelo’s also have a great “back yard” by the yacht club dock. The yard and board walk are a great place to hang out after dinner, especially when there is a band playing.

Great view (half the marina, half water). You can grab a drink and sit at their garden which has a fire pit. Food from Chelos is always good. You can never go wrong here.

I went a private function upstairs after the public restaurant was closed for the season. The room was big and lovely. The food was good and varied, and the drinks were strong and reasonable. All told I had a very good time. I would highly recommend it for all you party needs.

We went to Chelos for a staff party of about 50 and it was amazing. The staff were super accommodating and helpful and the food was awesome! Our server, Eddie was awesome and took care of everything quickly and accurately. I was really impressed that he was able to remember what each of us ordered despite everyone playing musical chairs. Thank you so much for making our night out great!

Not great. Went there to get out of heat and humidity and when we got there they had the whole wall where the bar was wide open to outside. It was terrible. If we wanted to sit outside we would have gone outside. Wasn't smart on their part. We almost left.

Fun times. Bars covered so you're good in the rain n they have plenty of indoor seating. Views are great n live music in a covered pavilion. Dance floor a fire pit area are not covered but are great on a sunny day.

Saturday evening was really busy, the view was just right. Relaxing environment but a bit preppy, food was good very close to excellent. Parking is a bit tight, not enough self parking spot. Most likely needed a valley parking during the busy night, everyone there were so friendly.

This is the spot to be at along the water!! Food was really good. The service was amazing. They have parking, which can get packed because everyone was to be here during the warm summer months. They have a live band playing Friday nights. Clean bathrooms. Two fire pits outside and a nice view to watch the sunset. The outdoor eating area has two levels and you can eat at the picnic tables in the lawn as well. Outdoor area with limited seating. This place is fabulous. Shouts to my server Katelyn you are truly wonderful.

Fish tacos were fantastic. They were blackened offering the perfect amount of kick. They had numerous beers on draught, including one of the best beers in the country, Bell's Oberon from Michigan. My son loved the New England Clam Chowder! Service was fast and food was out quickly.

By far one of the finest restaurants. Immaculate facility, incredible ambiance, including an outdoor patio overlooking the water. Food is superb; be it fish, incredibly fresh and diverse salads, homemade dressing and wonderful desserts, always pleased. Staff is accomodating, warm, friendly and contientious. Highly recommended!

Good food and view! There's plenty of outdoor seating, but plan to wait for a table on a nice day. They will take reservations for large groups. They offer complimentary valet parking. The staff was really friendly and accommodating towards our group. The prices seem a little high for what you get. Overall a very popular place though!

This place has gone way down hill since I've started going there about 3 years ago. First of all it's very very expensive. I bought a magarita and it cost me almost $12! Rip off. The food is nothing special and also very expensive. But the one thing that really kills me is the service. The bartender's I've dealt with have all been absolutely miserable and rude. This is no longer a place I recommend. Until they change their act I'm not a fan.

Came here for my grandmothers birthday. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food and great drinks. I don’t often review restaurants, usually if I really liked it or really didn’t. This is definitely one I really liked. I would recommend this to anyone. Whether it’s a dinner event or just to grab some drinks after work.

Been to Chelo’s many times, but this is a bit different. A more seafood-oriented menu, on the warf. The place looks like a seaside restaurant, and has beautiful outdoor seating and bars. Campfires add to the overall experience. The food was good, and a bit more upscale, while still keeping the family favorites. The clam cakes, the steamers and even the fish and chips were great.

Atmosphere is the most important thing here. Dinner and drinks by the ocean, often with live music. There's 2 huge fire pits and an area where kids can run and enjoy themselves.

This is a nice place to visit when you want to dine Al Fresco and listen to live music. My friend and I like sitting at their outdoor bar. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They have a good menu and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s also family friendly so that’s a Plus if you have children.

Scenery nice in the summer, they have a bar. Great waitress. Pretty good selection of food. Gluten free options. Seafood and dessert options. You can not make reservations but you can have parties there. Wait time approx 20-40m on the weekends. Children friendly, they do have entertainment in the summer. Parking isn't always available.

I love chelo's! I love listening to live music. But with my hectic schedule I hardly ever have time. But Thursdays and Friday nights during the summermyself and my children always have a blast dancing and laughing and eating and having a great time. And the wait staff is always fun friendly and fast.

Highly lactose and placed a burger to go. Asked for no cheese and no butter on bun. Got home and cheese on it called and manager said we will fix it and deliver to you. Well he showed up i opened it and no cheese I said thank you well turned the bun over and loaded with butter. I ended up tossing it out. 2 strikes your out rule applied. Food allergies beware.

The whole place is just well run and well organized which makes for a great experience. Employees are all pleasant and busy and seem to enjoy being there. All together just worked. My husband and I sat outside on the lower level for lunch this past weekend with our 2 yo daughter and everything was great! We had a beautiful view of the water and the marina. We got there right as they opened, they were busy but service was quick and all the waiters and waitresses were both friendly and efficient. We got clam cakes and fish and chips and my daughter had plain chicken tenders. We will definitely be back, the food was delicious!
