How have I never rated Capriccio's? I've been to Capriccio's a million times. You don't have to pay to park. Parking, in this area, can be difficult and expensive. Capriccios has free parking, AKA complementary. Just be sure to tip the valet guy at least $10, $20, (or more). You would have had to pay that to park anyway and to walk. They do park your car and pick up your car and then pick you up at the door and drop you off at the door, in the rain, in the snow, in the Heat! Tbt Capriccios is a one-of-a-kind restaurant. I don't know any places who do flambe, tableside, in the East Coast. You will receive top of the line customer service. Every customer is treated like a prince or princess. If you like wine.....this place has the best wine selection in the entire East Coast. Every single wine lover will find something they love. Other drinks are strong, good, and locally priced. It is an old Mafia / gangster / well,, movies are still filmed here in 2019..... Very old school Italian/ Mediterranean restaurant. Meaning they serve French food, etc.....and Italy from top to bottom. Yeah, but the best food only. They actually do serve really good food! If you know food, taste theirs and you will know it's REAL and fresh. If you're not used to eating the top-of-the-line ingredients and the freshest food around you will still like it. You will like everything about it. In my top 3 favorite places!!!

Again Capriccio'sis a great place! What can I say about the brunch except it is excellent. You name it they offer it. The food and service are excellent! The seafood dish which includes lobster, scallops, crab, clams and shrimp was delicious.

Went there for a date night on a Friday. The service was great. My wife requested olive oil for the bread on the table and it was delicious. The calamari was fantastic. Overall just a very good experience. Would recommend if you haven't been.

We found this place thanks to Google search and we were so happy to try the great, delicious food options. The wine list is impressive, the staff is extremely nice, quick and knowledgeable. The wine director personally made sure we have great time and we are enjoying our bottle of wine. Overall you can be sure you will have amazing time in Capriccio.

The worst experience ever! We made a booking for a table. They said ok and never informed us of any cancellation charges during the time of the booking! My aunt for whom we had made the reservation fell sick and we had to cancel. It was unfortunate but the extremely rude manager made up and charged us a $300 cancellation fee!!! He was so rude, so adamant, and I've never had to deal with such an unpleasant person in my life! Please NEVER give them your credit card details or you'll be charged with insane fees like this. This is absolutely ridiculous!! We're not interested in eating at your restaurant so you charge us $300??? This is plain extortion!!

It was my first time going, and it probably will be my last it wasn't as good as I thought it would be we had a chicken dinner which is really good but the appetizer wasn't that great and we had the shrimp and it wasn't really cooked very well and the tiramisu was just so so the service was also just so so so it was very disappointing. And my friend said every time she was eating pasta it had some hard stuff in it

An off-night for them on Feb 9th: slow and inattentive service, food not up to its usual high standards. The beef Wellington's crust was soggy, the osso bucco arrived cold. Disappointing, given that it was a special occasion evening. The restaurant's ambience was otherwise excellent.

My husband and I walked in , granted without a reservation. We were seated by the very busy kitchen door. The wait staff seemed excellent, however, we were seated with a young waitress who was clearly new. The dish I thought I had ordered was not at all what I received. I had asked for a light pasta dish. It mentioned prosciutto and veal and cheese. This plate was heavy with basically ground beef ( veal) and sauce. Overpriced and underwhelming. When I very delicately inquired, they accommodated with a bowl of bolognese and pasta, but the entire attitude changed. A new woman came out of the kitchen who took the dish and got us out quickly. My husband and I enjoy quality dining, and do so often, however this experience was a complete disappointment to say the very least. If you’re used to great food experiences, I don’t recommend this restaurant at all !!

It was my first experience in Providence. I went with my daughter expecting an outstanding place! It was actually, normal. The ambience is old fashioned. Dried flowers baskets around the place. Looked more like a ski resort restaurant. Food was decent-nothing outstanding. The waiter was friendly. I wouldn't go back there. It looks like it's made for older people. I'd rather a young place with a modern vibe. I'm luck I didn't get a Beatle in my food!!!!

If i could give this place less then 1 star i would.i was so up set an diaspointed.First new years with my boyfriend i had a reservation at 9pm i was seated fast but our waiter didnt show up for 45 minutes an the food took another 45 min when we did order ..plus they sat us in the back smh cut into my time & ruined my plans after.The owner never even came around to make sure his customers were good .Horrible service.Ill never go back!

I was there this past Saturday 8:00 reservation for a Birthday celebration. We have been there many times over the years and love this place, but this Saturday was very disappointing. The service was slow, and when our meal came out they served my boyfriend first then wheeled up the cart to prepare by sole. This was around 6 or so minutes later. In the mean time his food was sitting in front of him. Then when I ordered a second glass of wine the waiter picked up my glass and poured the new wine into it. I thought for a minute I was at Applebee's. Very unprofessional. But the most disappointing thing is that he requested a desert with a candle for me and they never brought it, just the check. Needless to say we won't be visiting Capriccio's for a long time.

First of all, I haven’t rated Capriccios for some time now. The good news is Capriccos hasn't changed....... Great Food & Outstanding Sauces / The Staff To Me Is One The Best Trained In New England / Atmosphere, Noise Levels While Eating all adds up to there 5 Stars If you haven’t been there and enjoy fine dinning you have to put Capriccios on your list.

Dinner meeting event in a far back room...air system quite loud, as were the people at the bar outside the room. Food was OK. The calamari appetizer was the best thing I ate. Staff was attentive, but I was glad I wasn't paying the bill as everything was just OK.

This visit to Cappricio, our favorite restaurant in Providence, was a surprise birthday celebration, and what a wonderful evening it was! Six of us had a quiet table, enjoyed escargots or pasta appetizers, scallop risotto or baked stuffed lobster. Desserts were wonderful, with all of us taking tastes from each other. Perhaps the highlight was the crepes Suzette, not for sharing! A birthday to relish!

Our food was excellent, our server was excellent and that is where the excellence stopped. We went in 30 minutes prior to our reservation to have a cocktail at the bar. The bar was almost empty (and now we know why!) The bartender was oddly rude and hostile. It was very strange. She was curt and disrespectful and was slamming objects and cabinet doors. My first drink was good but my second drink was undrinkable (but I said nothing about this drink). What was more disappointing is that when we were seated at our table, I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came to our table, I began to discretely explain what a strange and unpleasant experience we had just had at the bar. He was very short with me and pretty dismissive saying that he was "sorry about that but would give her (the bartender) the benefit of the doubt (whatever that was supposed to mean). He then quickly walked away from our table and never even checked to see how the rest of our meal was. We will not go back based on that bartender and the manager.

A fabulous experience. The food was superb! I got a fish dish on the specials menu. Two of my guests ordered risotto made especially for them and both loved their dishes. The wait staff was exceptional! I would definitely go back... Again and again ❤️❤️❤️. P.s. if you are looking for dessert, we ordered one of everything, and it was all amazing! No pics of dessert because we are it too quickly

Over the last 15 or more years my family has celebrated birthdays, holidays , anniversaries, and special events here. Last night, New Year’s Eve , my family of 3 went for a 6:30 seating made back in November, expecting a great time! It was horrible! We were seated at a table at the bottom of the stairs with the freezing wind blowing down the stairs on us. When asked to move, we were moved to the table next to it facing the kitchen door with every waiter in the restaurant passing by us and the wind still felt on our legs and bodies. When asked what could be done, no response! If parties of 3 are not wanted, the reservation should not have been made. New Years Eve was ruined! Very disappointed and an old tradition is now gone! I won’t be returning because of the poor management! I won’t be recommending Capriccio to my friends in state or out of state in the future! What a shame since this could have been so easily corrected!

My husband has wanted to try this place for years. We went with my 2.5 year old and my grandmother. We didn't know that it was underground so there are a lot of stairs. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The atmosphere was beautiful. Waitress was very difficult to understand and seemed to be new, as she struggled with simple menu questions. There were two other children in the restaurant while we were there and 5 more walked in as we were leaving but there is no children's menu. My son was using the decorative Capriccio plate for his bread and butter and the waitstaff kept trying to take it and put it on the small bread plate, we told them to leave it. We went to the restroom and they moved the bread onto the small plate and took his bigger plate! My grandmother ordered the veal parmigiana and it came out badly burnt. Our waitress was no where to be found so we had to ask the waterboy to get us someone. I told the guy it was burnt and he said it's just a little crispy. He then said "what do you want a new one" I thought that was rude it was clearly black. Food was okay, but definitely expected more from Capriccio's.

Up scale dinning for sure. The food and drinks were excellent and what you expect from a place like this. Our server Will did a great job. All around very nice place. Two things negative I would say. One the atmosphere is a little louder then I expected it to be, not obnoxious just a little more chaotic than I would have expected. The second is they make you ( or at least us on this night) feel rushed a little. The staff was great just a little on the hyper side.

Atmosphere is lovely. Its underground though so if you cant do stairs you cant eat. Great menu but nobody in our party was impressed with their meal. The pastas were all dry. The lobster was tough etc. We were very excited to go but honestly for the money i would not suggest it and im not planning on returning. Sad but true
