They seated many people at once and our service suffered for it. the waiter was apologizing and the atmosphere was somewhat chaotic. The bus help didn't contribute much to the effort. It was like they were understaffed? Anyway, we did finally get a drink and ordered some calamari to try. It was fantastic and the banana peppers went well with it. My friend had the seafood special (raved about it) and I had the roasted chicken with spinach which was cooked great, taste great, and was almost too much food. Had to have dessert and enjoy it also. A bit pricey but the food is great and the portions are solid.

Didn't realize how high-end this place was until we walked in. The host took my coat over to the coat check area for me (a first). This place is authentic Italian cuisine at its finest. All-male wait staff (per authentic Italian custom), and the food was absolutely amazing. VERY pricey, but VERY worth it. The ambiance is excellent for conversation, since they didn't have elevator music playing while at all. The portion size was so big, our food barely fit on the table! I'll have to write a separate 5* review for the dessert alone! Mouth watering...pics provided.

A disappointing lunch here during restaurant week. An over-formal atmosphere that felt like the 1980s, a "sauvignon blanc" that was so sweet it had to go back, a caprese with a tomato that was not anywhere near red, looked like a hydroponic horror from a northern clime in winter and tasted, well it didn't taste at all, but it felt mealy, at a time of year when the local farmers markets are bursting with ripe heirlooms. The risotto was huge and as bland as bland can be. I know risotto is hard to make in a restaurant and I wouldn't usually order it - I make it at home and am picky - but as a vegetarian I didn't have options. No need to return.

We loved it here! We were in town to see the show shen yun! If you ever have the opportunity to see it... GO! We chose Camilles because it was close to the performing arts center but, it was FANTASTIC in every way! They have valet parking but, we were able to park right on the street without issue. It’s very formal inside but, friendly and welcoming. The waitstaff were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and attentive. The food wAs out of this world delicious! We had the cheese and meat board for our app, a nice bottle of Montepulciano d’abruzzo wine, the lobster casserole for dinner and the banana and Nutella crepes for desert! Every course was excellent! It was very clean and the environment was romantic and comfortable. We loved it here!

This Place is a local gem on Federal Hill in Providence RI. The best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. Very high class. The lounge is a great place to sit to watch some of the most amazing bands. Have fun dancing and romancing. Great atmosphere. Fantastic food and service. And valet parking is very convenient. I have gone here dozens of times throughout the past two years. It is my go to place. Most people I mention it to have either gone or heard of it. And have spoken about it in the highest regards.

Went to Camille's this evening for the fourth time. It's wonderful. Sat upstairs this time and it's beautiful, looking just the same as we imagine it did decades ago. Great food, great service. Even the valets were friendly and helpful! Highly recommended for a special night out.

A truly amazing experience! Had an incredible dinner for my brothers birthday. Amanda took wonderful care of us at the bar! We chose the bar due to being under dressed but still got treated with hospitality and kindness. The manager (John I believe) was very kind and welcoming. Both made us want to come back for more. The food was the best Italian I’ve had in my life, gravy to die for! Have already recommended to everyone I know!! My second time, and already can’t wait for the third!

Great restaurant but expensive! The food was amazing. I ordered the scallops with lump crab meat, topped with a bread crumble. And a side Caesar salad with a glass of Resling Moscato. As an appetizer, we had calamari with pickled banana peppers and mozzarella topped with marinara and prosciutto.

I had very high expectations going to Camilles. Everyone spoke highly of it, from word of mouth to review sites. I had reservations for 6:15 and showed up maybe 5 minutes early. We were seated immediately, with 3 other tables of at least 5. We waited for more than 20 minutes for someone to wait on us, and when a 7 top next to us was immediately waited on, we decided to leave. There was wait staff standing all around. The FOH manager offered little in terms of apology, the valet was more apologetic and shocked than anyone inside.

I was a bit skeptical about this place. Had visited it previously and wasn't that impressed but was in the dining room upstairs for a wedding reception. I wouldn't recommend going up there as it reminded me of a 1960s casino room but much smaller. However, went here for a mini retirement dinner and the food was great, the service was great and the price was about moderate for this type of restaurant. Love the decor in the main dining area!

Bf took me here for an early anniversary celebration. What a classy place! Just like in the old movies! Staff was courteous and very professional. Food looked nice and tasted even better. Totally well worth the price.

I've been raving about this place and counting down the days until we can go back since our first visit here last week. Absolutely impeccable. Service was great, food was top notch, wine list was great, desserts were hard just to pick one. The flavors in my pumpkin ravioli were to die for - wonderfully crafted with nuts and goat cheese to compliment and enhance the flavor of pumpkin and fresh pasta. I loved that I didnt feel rushed by the waitress and she was very helpful. I can't wait to return again.

The service was very good and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. For an Italian restaurant with homemade pasta I was pretty let down. The pasta was to thick, and in my opinion should have been rolled out thinner. Which left me feeling like gnawing a little to much pasta dough. The food was fine, but more expensive than I would have like to pay for the pasta. The meat portions were very large and cooked perfectly. The dessert was a little to sickly sweet for my taste. I understand the tradition that brings people here, but I think there are far better Italian Restaurants on the hill with better pasta.

I wanted to try Canille's during restaurant week. When I ordered from the special menu, the waiter ignored us. He also seemed bothered by us not ordering drinks. But neither of us drink. I still left a 20% tip but he didn't deserve it. I will never go there again.

This restaurant is steeped in both cultural and culinary history. Right in Federal Hill the portions are quite large but increadibly the quality is outstanding. We sat at the bar and Linsey took amazing care of us. I had the prosciutto wrapped Halibut and Lasagna Melazane. So tasty but what really makes this neighborhood gem so unforgettable is the people and their trueness to the culinary art that is homemade Italian.

Upon arrival I perceived this to be a fine dining experience. It was much less. I ordered an evening special, the stuffed veal chop, with fingerling potatoes, marsala mushroon sauce and arugula salad. The presentation consisted of half a plate covered in arugula with 3 beefsteak tomato slices that were not yet ripe. No dressing. The fingerling potatoes were scant and under the veal chop. The chop looked great and was covered sparatically with mushrooms and a watery sauce. The veal chop was tasteless and only overshadowed by the marsal sauce with tasted of straight sugar water. Completey bland. It was also poured over the rest of the items on the plate, thus ruining the entire meal. I took three bites of the veal hoping that the stuffing would change the flavor..but no. I sent it back. We continued with desert which was fantastic. When the bill came We were comped the desert but not the 49.00 veal chop. Oh well...never again.

Seafood was not that fresh. Scallops were the size of a quarter and over cooked. I had a Seafood dish that had one tough shrimp and one overcooked, quarter-sized scallop...See below. Although the host or manager told me they were real, the potatoes tasted like instant. The scallop dish was not much better. For the expense, the food was not worth the money. The best part of the meal was the wine. The server let me taste 3, and the one I decided on was the best I've ever had. The restaurant's ambiance is relaxing and beautiful.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!! went there to celebrate my husband's new job an him coming home from business after two weeks so we thought we would try some place new, on arrival it was beautiful place ordered the soup which was amazing but then it was all downhill from there, so first I ORDERED SHRIMP WITH CRAB STUFFING, waited the normal 25 30 minutes for this type of restaurant they bring out my husband meal an mine an it was wrong strike one they brought out SHRIMP DIABLO so I tried to tell the WAITER what happened an he was like " oh I'm sorry that was my mistake I wrote the wrong dish so I asked again for stuffed shrimp he's like oh we don't have anymore of that this evening so yes I was upset but I pointed to the porchini linguini now my husband's food is stone cold because we eat together so he's getting mad so another wait an the bring out the second dish....THAT WAS WRONG TWO!!!!! STRIKE 2 I was furious I asked for the manager an told him not one but twice my order was messed up!!!!!! He said sorry an nothing else we decided to leave right then an there our check was still 72.00 the manager didn't offer any type of complimentary drinks or appetizers during out long wait the only thing was he didn't charge for the two mess up dishes so we left hungry an angry will not be back GO TO SIENA so much better then here!!!!!!!!
