Fun atmosphere, interesting walls, good service, cozy booths. The salad bar was fresh and full, appetizers were huge! And our cocktails were great! Would definitely try again. It is also in a very interesting part of town that I would love to check out during daylight hours.

The nachos were Amazing!!! Very large portion, and no shortage of meat. I forgot to take a photo of the incredible nachos. I wish I lived near by so I could eat here again. The service was great. Even though someone forgot to put beans on our nachos, they made up for it by giving us an amazing dessert!

The food was OUTSTANDING. Lobster bisque was wonderful, Cajun chicken sandwich had perfect seasoning, fried prepared flawlessly. My wife's burger was grilled to perfection. Our freshly prepared New York style cheesecake with fresh blackberries, red raspberries, & strawberries was wonderful, and 2 pieces were served with a single order. Be sure to ask for Elizabeth, because she is a cheerful, efficient, nice & very friendly server. You won't go wrong with her,and she offered excellent suggestions! I can't think of one thing this place could do to improve!

Very casual dining. Ordered poke bowl with quinoa, it’s delicious, not the authentic poke bowl I expected, but I must say it is delicious. The place is noisy, so if you are looking for quiet dining this is not your place. Television screens are around to catch up some sports event. It’s a fun place, it’s so alive. Location is perfect. Buffet style is also an optional.

Burger was decent. 3l4 of the burger, was more juicy than the other. Chips that came with it were mushy. Located directly beneath the burger. That made no sense. The other chips at the side were crispy. Not everyone there is on the same page as others as far as the menus. I got incorrect information as far as what food was available between the two floors, from one of the hostesses, which really set me back going up & down the two floors as time was running out on my parking meter. Had expressed what I thought about the inaccuracy being given me to a manager by the hostess without vulgarity. Was actually called an a## by one of the workers who was "friends" with this other hostess. He made his statement walking away from me. I'm not a professional eater, but this is supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL establishment. Noone should be talked to that way. Had I used vulgarity, then all bets would be off and I'd be making an issue over tissues. I felt after talking with a manager that he would address it, but I also feel he tried to cover for the worker's improper language. I would not recommend, nor would I tell people who are looking for a place to eat of this restaurant. My job is such, that I eat out three times a day. None of my future experiences will be done here.

We were in Newport R.I. for the St. Patrick's Day Parade this past weekend and stopped in on Sunday(actual St. Paddy's Day) and there was a line to get in and at least a 30 min wait so we went elsewhere. We were leaving Newport knowing we were going to try again and I am so glad we did. I looked at the menu and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw short ribs. My wife and I both ordered them and what we got was pure heaven. The dish had 5 big chunks of meat that was so tender you didn't need a knife to cut it, you almost didn't need a fork...you just look at it and it breaks apart. the ribs were in a brown gravy( not my favorite) on garlic mashed potatoes. I have never had short ribs that were so amazingly tender. EVER!! I've made short ribs before and use the low/slo method but I guess mine could go a lot slower. The Brick Alley Pub was a real fun place to eat. It had a decor that was reminiscent of old garages that held onto history. We will definitely be back when we come in the fall.

This is a very nice restaurant with great interior. The vibe inside is really great and the food itself is also tasty. I went with 2 other people and we got a bucket of beer and the main entree with salad and all. I got the Jumbo Shrimp which was amazing in taste. Definitely would recommend it.

Brick Alley Pub is a must visit for myself and my family every time we're in Newport. The portions are plentiful and the food quality is excellent. Mixed drinks are incredible also for the price. Waitstaff are friendly and attentive, even when it's super busy-- and it almost always is. Love this place!

Food portions were hefty, with the price tag to go along with it. Our bill with 3 people & 3 drinks was over $75. The golden chicken sandwich was very tasty & the blackberry sangria was amazing! Would definitely recommend & return when I'm in town again.

However the Mac n cheese was stellar and the drinks were on point. You’d have to ask a local about the clams and the chowder. We just tried them because were tourists. Great device!

If you are visiting Newport make sure you check out this restaurant. I got the chicken Parmesan and my friend got the braised short ribs. The food was delicious and the wait staff was amazing. I would highly recommend eating here. There's a lot of shopping around the area as well. Enjoy!

Always a good place to go in Newport. Stick with downstairs.. The upstairs bar which is guess is a separate restaurant is very odd, you pay and order at the bar, get your own drinks, get your own mayo/blue cheese/mustard, get your own take-away containers and it's pretty expensive for having to get most things yourself.

TLDR; If you like good food, and a team that cares about your experience, you will definitely find both here! This place has the best restaurant service I've ever experienced. Not just for the amazing quality of their meals (which by the way this place has in my opinion some of the best food in Newport!), but what really sticks in my mind is how genuine the service was, even after the experience was over. I went here with a group of friends for a bachelorette party, and after having an amazing meal in a great environment I responded to their customer service survey... and a few weeks later I get this in the mail a (see photo). Though I'm states away and may not get the chance to visit RI again, this gesture made my day. It brought back the sweet memories I had in Newport with my friends, and reminded me of one of the best meal experiences I've ever had! Thank you Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant team for the work you're putting into this excellent service!

The restaurant charged me full amount even though I told them it's worst veggie food in any pub I had. So if you are a vegan or vegetarian - Avoid this place as if it's plague - literally

I come to brick Alley pub every time I come to Newport. The food is absolutely out of this world I've never had anything bad there and I've gone there so many times now. The atmosphere is really kitschy and the people are really nice and it's just a really great party atmosphere but with fine dining. You don't have to dress up its elbows on the table but it's gourmet meals. if you want a wonderful meal this is where you go in Newport

Great food and service. We had the fried cod and shrimp pizza. We also had the clam chowder. All of them tasted great. The portions are relatively large. Beware that if you add something to your food you may get charged without knowing how much. Like we asked for sour cream and we paid $1.50. We added chicken to kids menu nachos and got charged another $5.95.

I absolutely liked it. The grilled swordfish fish with shrimp and scallops on the top is really good. The drinks are good but it didn't wow me. I tried Margarita and the mojito. I think the frozen margarita was better. The timing between appetizers and the main food is really good. The staff members are friendly. It is really big restaurant with verify of food from simple american food, healthy meals. Seafood, pasta and steak! I definitely recommend to try this restaurant!

Absolutely fabulous bar service. The bartender was attentive, always there when we needed her. I would highly recommend the jammy burger, as it was not overpoweringly sweet, and balanced against the savory meat flavor well. The huntsman burger could have honestly had more blue cheese. It tasted like a solid cheeseburger. Still, no lasting complaints. I would definitely eat here again.

I chose to have dinner here last night and it was definitely below average. I sat at the bar due to limited seating. Service was poor. I ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer and it had absolutely no taste, let alone the presentation wasn’t that great. In fact, there was a lady beside me to comment to say that the spinach dip did not look good and that she has seen it look better. Next, I ordered the Georgia wings (6) to try out and they were actually good. But because I was given attitude about not liking the spinach dip, it made me not even order wings to go. So i ended up leaving the restaurant still hungry. I will not be returning here.

This was a great find dor lunch while in Newport. They are known for their nachos and after ordering them we know why. Everyone agreed these were the best tasting nachos we have ever had. Great spot to eat, reasonably priced and in downtown Newport near a lot of great places to shop. Always busy and the line is usually out the door waiting for a table, so make sure to plan accordingly. Other than that, the food is always amazing and the service is great! Green fried tomato wrap is seriously so good. A wide selection of southern food in new england. Their fried pickles were subpar but I did like how they used sweet pickle instead of the classic vinegary ones. The prices are harsh so be prepared. Will be visiting again. Great food

We always enjoy Brick Alley Pub! It's a staple of Newport and it's definitely worth the wait. My favorites are the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and the salad bar. There's usually a place to sit by one of the many different bars in the building. Be aware that you might have to wait a few for a table.

Great service at the bar. Drinks were well made and service is quick! The Porteguese clams were great! Bon Appetit says its 1 of the best 13 recipes they have ever reviewed, and I can't complain. Rich, flavorful, right amount of heat. Certainly worth a visit! Bread portion was small compared to what I used to, but nothing wrong with it as they will give you more if you ask. I can't argue with not being wasteful! Good luck finding parking this time of year though....

When we got there it was crowded, which we expected. Waiting in the bar, the staff seemed in chaos. People were standing around who had been waiting there 10 minutes or more for drinks. They finally seemed to get it together. We were told our wait for dinner would be about 45 minutes, and when we checked about an hour in, they told us their computers were down and they were not serving any longer. No one in the bar where we were waiting was aware of that however. By then, it was late enough we were not able to get food anywhere else. And on top of everything else, my seat at the bar was under a dripping air conditioning duct.

Food fit for the bland at heart. Cornbeef Rubin with enoungh sauerkraut to fill a soda cap. Almost as much dressing. These restaurants at tourist traps have it made. Just have a front door and a couple chairs and BINGO.

Amazing soup and salad bar! Great variety of fresh ingredients to build your perfect meal, and trust me with everything here you don't need to order anything else! As a side note, they have a solid beer list as well.

The Brick Alley Pub is an excellent restaurant with great tasting food and good service. They often have a wait because they are always busy but they have a bar that they let you order drinks from as you wait.

Place looks like it gets full and busy pretty fast! When we went I felt it was early, and an off-night and there was a wait. Service was amazing though! Our server was always around for refills. Food was delicious.

Newport is a great town. This place is hopping and has a great vibe. Menu is extensive and reasonanlu priced. Be prepared for a short wait but we'll worth it. Salad bar plentiful. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is plentiful and made to order. The desert will amaze you. The blackout freshly made brownie and vanilla icecream, syrup and whipped cream is huge, definitely for two or more to share. The bar is packed and very lively Signature cocktails and drinks are affordable. A fantastvi time had by all.

Big portions, reasonable prices. Huntsman burger satisfied! Busy during tourist season. My party of 5 arrived a few minutes before the kitchen opened and we got the best seats in the house.

Be prepared to wait. ...but worth it. At least when it comes to the clam chowder! Not one gritty clam to be had. And the seasoning is spot on. At least the servers are hospitable and offer drinks from the bar while you wait, and don't make you feel like you've been forgotten . The chicken tenders and pickle spears weren't anything to write home about but very tasty none the less.

Standard issue food with service to match. Our server turned on the after burner when she brought the check, but it wasn’t enough to make up for lack of attention throughout. I did see several dishes go to other tables that looked great, so maybe we chose wrong.

Popular iconic place on the strip of heavy traffic. Classic vehicles and lots of local history. Food is clean and fresh and tastes great. Fantastic chowder. Fish tacos were very good. Scallops were delicious. Seats are a little dated, but seems intentional.

Brick Alley is a staple of our visits to Newport! But if you want to eat here, you better be hungry!!! They not only have a huge menu of (very delicious) entrees, burgers, sandwiches, etc., but they also come with a full soup & pasta & salad & bread bar! I did not partake in the bar, but I did have a very well-endowed fried chicken sandwich with bacon, cheese, and other sauces with fries on the side (yum!) and some great white wine. It's a really fun atmosphere and the building has some cool history!

On the weekends there is almost always a wait, but I promise that it will be worth it. Every dish I have gotten here has been amazing. The staff is super friendly and professional and I try to visit every time I'm in Newport.

Food is great, drinks are great. Reservations are recommended, but if you don't mind waiting a half hour for a table, then there's that. Busy atmosphere. I've never been to this restaurant when it hasn't been busy-- year round there is a steady customer flow, which is understandable because it is considered by some a Newport trademark as far as places to eat. Their salad bar is great, and the menu never disappoints. I recommend the nachos!

Blackberry Sangria was really good. Next time I’m getting the seafood / clam bowl. It looked really good and the locals were raving about it. Laid back and good service. Update: returned for the Portuguese clams..best I’ve had!

This is a wonderful restaurant with great food. It is kid friendly-ish (see below) with a decent kids menu. The wait staff is friendly and helpful and ready to offer suggestions, or bring napkins when they know that a meal is messy. The overall atmosphere of the place is cool. It is full of eclectic memorabilia that spans a range of topics from sports, politics, military, etc. it was fun to stroll around while waiting for a seat and look. They have a self service salad bar that looked good. Did not personally try it, but perhaps next time. The only issue I came across was the bathrooms. I don’t know that I would want to take my child into the bathroom with the suggestive posters that are displayed in the men’s room. Especially if I were not prepared to have “the talk” with them. That being said, it would be a conversation starter.
