I have lived in the area for a few years but haven't tried this place yet until tonight. It is a small but clean restaurant, the server was friendly and attentive, and most importantly, the food was beyond my expectations! Delicious! I already cannot wait to come back.

Notice that the most detailed reviews are the 1-star reviews. Table of 2, really simple order: 2 water, 2 miso, 1 gen tso & 1 sesame chix. Miso never came. Food was so bland, sauce was clearly very watered down. Meat was so spongey, didn’t feel at all like meat. Several charred pieces of food. The whole thing was barely edible. I see now why we were the only table in the place.

They have good customer service, food is always how I want it to be and for a reasonable price. I guess it all depends on your taste. I prefer this place over any other Chinese in Johnston/north providence.

I was skeptical about their ratings at first, but after we dined in, I'm confirmed this is a real jewel in the rough. The sauted vegetables were really good, lomen (stir fry seafood noodles) was delicious! Prices were very reasonable. The owner was very friendly. Overall, a very good dinning experience.

Ok the food was horrible. I got Generals tso, the pork fried rice, crab rangoon and a vegestable soup it was all bad. I gave some to my mom and sister and they didnt like it neither.apart from that I ordered over the phone and was told 10 minutes. When I went in to get the food there were people prior to me so I waited like any normal person. They didn't even acknowledge that i was there, I had to call one of the boys over so that I could pay. I wanted hot sauce and they wanted to charge .75. I get this for free at any other place. OMG this place is bad all around. Save your time and try Golden Palace on Branch Ave. Better food and always great service.

Best Chinese in North Prov. imo. Was eating nasty Golden City and got tired of bad food and service. Just had my first delivery from Best Eastern and I'm utterly impressed. All the food was cooked perfect, tasted awesome, not too cold or hot. Ordered the General Tsos, Beef Teriyaki, chicken lo mien & crab Rangoon w/ wonton. Best Chinese food experience in years and will be ordering from Best Eastern from now on.

Best Eastern? More like Worst Chinesefoodever Ordered later in the night (but still a good 2 hours before close) and everything was burnt (except for the sushi, which was poor quality and tasteless). Possibly a fluke, but regardless, there was no excuse to send out inedible food. Waste of money.

Bland food, overcooked. Got the "crazy tuna" sushi and it was neither crunchy nor spicy. Boneless spare ribs were completely burnt black on one side. Even the Philly roll was bad. How do you screw up something as simple as a philly roll? Literally fed it to the strays behind shaws and they didnt finish it.

I ordered 3 large rice with other items and only one of them came. i called and explained we had ordered 3 and only received one, the woman who answered was extremely rude and she was talking so fast no one could understand what she was even trying to say. After going back and fourth trying to understand what she was saying she said we had only ordered one and we’d have to pay for the other two, trying no to make it a big deal we said ok she said it would be 17 dollars when we received the receipt it was actually only 13 and suspicious we checked the other receipt which clearly had on there 3 rices so they charged us 17 extra dollars and when the delivery guy came BOTH times looked at the tip and said “thats it?” “more?” We werent cheap with our tip btw& when youre scamming people 13 dollars trying to say its 17 they really shouldnt have deserved anything. worst experience

My fav go-to on saturday night stay in and order. Fast delivery, great food, good prices. Once in a while we eat in there. We are usually the only ones there--- because patrons mostly call in or pick up. Nice, clean place. The family really do make an effort to please. Best Chinese around the area. Try it. You will like it.

This is an unassuming little typical Asian restaurant, with friendly and impeccable service...whether eat-in or takeout. My husband and I wanted something new, and decided to try this place. Our appetizers were great; he had the steamed dumplings, and truly enjoyed them...especially the meat stuffing. I tried the scallion pancakes, which were well done, WITHOUT being greasy from overfrying! And we shared a bowl of the dipping sauce, which was enough for bith of us...most places skimp on this side! I opted for the Chicken with Cashew Nuts, abd it was bountiful with marvelous flavor. My husband got the Lemon Chicken, which was the only disappointment, as the chicken came with a thick heavy battercoating; ge enjoys it more with the lighter batter that he's had elsewhere. BUT....we'll still come back here again; the food is well-priced, and worth your sampling!
