You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is nearly the highest, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the rating is very accurate. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Italian restaurant.
We enjoyed a late lunch at Angelo's Civita Farnese yesterday. I started with a bowl of yummy pastine soup. We shared a provolone and olive plate. I LOVED the eggplant parmesan with homemade pasta. My lunch guest thoroughly enjoyed her …
Dining here is a family tradition going back 50 plus years. I hadn't been here in some time but I was glad to see some things were unchanged, like the soup, the big corner booth, and the menu posted to a column. There were some changes but none of them regrettable.
Old school, red gravy Italian place on Federal Hill. If you dig this kind of food you can't go wrong. Great menu and wonderful people along with really good pricing. Go for the valet parking at the rear of the building to ease the parking issues
Angelo has been a family own restaurant for 95 years. The food is excellent. If you want to sample taste some food, just ask. The meatball sandwich is tasty. I will be back.
Awsome service food was amazing
The staff was amazing and the food was delicious, very nice place, I will be returning.
Came into Angelo's for dinner yesterday. Lindsay was our server and she was very pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent, as always, and service was great. My family and I will definitely be back.
Fabulous food fabulous service!!
real good in special the service the Erika
We love this place. Everytime we come to providence we eat here. Comfort food at it's finest
Awesome food. Great service. Kim & Erica were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great dinner.
One of the best Italian places in the city.
I was very disappointed. My vegetable lasagna was suppose to have all kinds of vegetables in it. I found one slice of carrot in it. It came to my table cold, and the sauce was very bitter. Don't think I'll be going back any time soon. Coffee was good !
That plate of Fries, Sausage, Meatballs with pasta couldn't be split, needed a full order of each to get both. No bread offered. Cost quite a bit for food shown. Very tasty Calamari and main courses.
I have been going for years. My favorite on Federal Hill. Simple Italian. Love the 1\2 orders. Try the veal & peppers.
Great local Italian spot with outstanding service and a large menu
Aways great food!
Great food & fresh and home made!
One of my favorite restaurants on federal hill. I've been going here since I was a kid. Not the fanciest place but it never fails to hit the spot when I'm craving Italian food. Friendly wait staff and family friendly. I can also highly recommend the Amaretto cheesecakeif they've got it. Delicious!
Veal parm like no others been eating there 50 years.
Classic Italian fare. A go to with any of my friends visiting PVD!
While visiting New England, my family and I visited Angelo's. We are a family of seven. Five kids, two adults. It was the most comfortable, friendly, inviting atmosphere we visited to date. The food was AMAZING! If ever we return, we will definitely be dining with Angelo's!
Been going there for 30 years and would recommend it to everyone
How can you not love Angelo's?? Great comfort food, fun specials, and spaghetti donuts!!
Interesting and nice a lovely place with good food! I would strongly recommend going there with the kids.
The service was great in the food was delicious always fantastic going here. I always enjoy a nice wine with my lunch and the selection is fantastic I love the home style food. I had the breaded mozzarella, and was not disappointed!
Excellent. Legitimate quality Italian. Bolognese was magical. Very good value.
Always amazing food and service in an Italian family atmosphere.
Great food and excellent service!
Family oriented atmosphere best attribute is the fresh pasta sauce. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is casual. Be prepared to tip the valet if you go during peak hours.
Fantastic food...... The best...!!!!!
Phenom pasta. Delicious. Fresh. Cooked perfectly Yes......
Great food and outstanding value
One of my familys traditions to go here for my wifes b day.. my son who only 4 say it's his favorite restaurant. Pastime soup and meatballs. I go for the specials as usual. Very family oriented. Seating for 2 thru 15 ish.. The train goes around and the kids got nuts. Very eclectic patrons. But every one acts like family here. Bar area separated so everyone is happy.. dont miss Rhode islands best....
Nice place. Nice staff. Good food.
A little expensive for the quantity and mostly food but excellent!
A Federal Hill Institution. If you haven't eaten here, you're not a real Rhode Islander. All the Italian comfort food you could ask for and more. Great location, cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Amazing food. Very authentic atmosphere and Italian food.
Great classic Italian. Was so happy someone had suggested this spot for dinner. Have to do the spaghetti with gravy - even though it's super simple, it's WONDERFUL. Snail salad was also delicious - was tender and not too chewy. Will definitely go back when I visit the area again.
Very friendly staff and very delicious food! Might be a small menu, but what I had was wonderful!
The food and service was exce just as I remember it 40 year's ago. I will definitely be back. .
The customer service is A+. The food was delicious!
Great chicken parmigiana. I get it every time I come here.
Lots of room for improvement n service if your paying good money u want hot food n good service
The best veal parmigiana ever had
Nice place, nicer people.
Always enjoy there food and company amy was great
The food was delicious and the service was great
The garden salat was not fresh The waiter brought me just a vinegar bottle. I had to ask for olive oil and sone bread. The olive oil was cheap and bad. My parents were from Rapallo, Liguria. I learnt about better culinary habits. The tripe was too salty and not really spiced. I was very frustrated and I asked for Tiramisu as a dessert. The waiter said that they did not have Tiramisu. The Chianti did not have "body", it was cheap. Anyway, the staff was really nice.
The service was good but the food wasn't. Meatballs are small and ravioli tasted frozen. I hate to say it but the meatballs from cheese cake factory taste better
Authentic, quality Italian food at the right price. Can't beat the service and the family business old-school vibe!
I would rather eat at the Olive Garden. Food was way below average. Service was so so. We ordered a few different plates to share. Eggplant Parm had incredibly thick breading and was full of seeds. Side of pasta was very small. Garlic bread was just plain terrible. And we ordered a portion of Vegetable Lasagna. Me and 2 other people split the portion between us. We all realized that the lasagna was ICE cold and could not be eaten so we put it back on the original plate it came on. Informed the waiter, he apologized and took it back to the kitchen. He comes out with the same plate! They just reheated what we put back on the plate and didn't even give us a new piece. Unreal! Like I said, I would rather eat at the Olive Garden than Angelo's. Absolutely terrible food and service.
Absolutely appalled by my experience here for take out. I ordered a $14 salad with grilled chicken. It was all lettuce with 3 bite sized pieces of chicken, a few green beans, one piece of broccoli, and a small sliver of tomato. When we called they said they would make note and take "a few dollars" off of our next order. We also got a half order of meatballs and french fries which came with 5 soggy fries. If you want a decent meal and good customer service, look at the abundance of other quality spots in Providence.
The service was very good as was the pork chop! The house salad was nothing special, mainly lettuce, 2 olives and a slice of cucumber. I found the pastine soup overly salty and the Tripe mushy with to much salt. The bread that was served again was boring. I’d be hard pressed to go back. No fish dishes on the menu and they ran out of the roasted chicken. Very inexpensive. Much better restaurants on Federal Hill.
I originally wanted to go to the Wise Guys, but they don't open till 3pm so I went next door. After all this is Federal Hill and any place here should be able to make a ham and salami grinder. Or so I thought. Upon walking inside the place …
Always a great meal. I had the linguini aglio et ollio. Try it Alice style. Delish.
Taste of the food was good, but nothing about Angleo's made it standout from other local restaurants. Not a bad experience, just not great.
Need and update Too dark They don’t have olive oil. How can this be??? An Italian restaurant !!! stratialeta ice cream no good at all (taste and look cheap) Steak absolutely flavorless Garlic bread dried and bad presentation. Service was ok but the waitress didn’t know the menu.
I loved my food but my boyfriend thought the sub he got wasn't worth the money
I had the need for a vegetarian eggplant parm. The wonderful owner Bob made the dish himself. It was fantastic. Great service!
Great Food, Great Service, Great Prices! Best Value for the money on Federal Hill
If there was a choice for no star i would havr done it. This place should never be attended during a special occasion becuase they have 0 customer service skill. They allowed my uncle and i to sit there for 20minutes with no water bread or even a hello. Worst fathers day outting ever espcally since it was my dads fav place as a kid and wen i was a kid loved this place . mind you my father passed 2 weeks ago. went down hill in the many years. They never even brought a glass of water in 20 minutes so we left. 0 stars
Best Italian in years!!!! So glad we hiked to federal hill for dinner...they were very friendly and helpfulix Alfredo sauce and house gravy for amazing dinner
My favorite red sauce. A long histoy of high quality, well deserved. Look at the old message board menu.
Used to go out of my way to eat there. Now? Meh... not so much. Side salad was iceberg and half a thin slice of tomato. Service was never the point at Angelos, so a drop off in food quality is a killer. To be fair, though, the pasta dishes are still worth a visit.
Guy went here and they have the great Italian foods and deserts
Baked chicken and broccoli with olive oil....delicious!
It was fantastic the food was fresh and the service was great! The staff was very friendly! Best food !
We just had a great lunch at Angelo's! Veal parm, chicken parm and eggplant parm. All delicious and good size portions! Great service too!
Excellent food. Sit at the bar and Amie will treat you tremendous.
This place was great... my girlfriend's dad who is 100% sicilian raved about this place and I can see why.... DEEEEEEEEELICIOUS
Underwhelming, at best. We were looking forward to a great meal after reading reviews on multiple websites that said that Angelo's was one of the best Italian restaurants in Federal Hill. And then we even found out that Guy Fieri ate here. Gnocchi and fettuccine Alfredo were good, not great. Chicken parm was okay. Smallest plate of spaghetti and meatballs I've ever seen. Prices seemed high for what we got (not the value other people have mentioned).
Been coming to this place for 10 years. The food is always consistently amazing. Great options on the menu. Small bar but not a huge deal. Very family oriented. The staff is super friendly. Portions of food are just right. Totally my first pick in spots on Federal Hill!
Great service. Distressingly average food. Above average prices. I have lost faith in Guy Fieri.
awesome food it has been for many years service was Excellent. Now It's entering It's 4th generation in business. 95th year. September 24, 1924.
This is a old favorite, truly can't go wrong here. Snail salad, for those that appreciate it, is excellent. Love that meatballs and fries is a dinner. My favorite is the chicken parmigiana.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere
Delicious food! Great piano player! Fun train running on track overhead. Back to the food....fabulous veal and peppers, calamari, braciola, antipasto, ravioli, and bolognese. Actually, it was all outstanding!! I have been going here for over 60 years, although last time over 20 years ago. Better than ever!!
Physical menu very different from online menu. The small shrimp in the baked stuffed was overcooked. Definitely would not return.
My favourite restaurant in RI so far!
Awesome place for a business lunch.
The veal plate is amazing.... service is excellent and valet is helpful.
Casual place, been around for 94 years. Nice small bar area.. They have good Italian beer , Sam Adams. I always get the chicken parm. The mini cannolis are good.
Wonderful place to eat. Excellent service
Great food and service. The veal parm is wonderful.
Get pasta aglio Olio it's awesome prices are good too
Very good chicken and veal parm
So good! I had the chicken alfredo with broccoli and my girlfriend had the lasagna, we split the two entrees and we're both very satisfied. I had a half craft of the house wine which was enjoyable with lunch.
Good food nice place
Perfect restaurant for two families eating with kids. It was just what we were looking for. Sauce was authentic.
Food was good. TV still not working at bar, seems like the heat was turned down.
The food here is traditional and basic. Because of that, you can expect a good "home-cooked" meal every time you go. The gravy (red sauce) is perfectly balanced and nor too sweet or salty. There are some handmade pasta options to try, and the meatballs melt in your mouth. Enjoy!
Food is average. Lasagna with bolognese meat sauce was lacking bolognese meat sauce
My 90 year old Aunt used to go to Angelo's when she was single! This restuarant has good food, fairly priced with great service. What more can you ask for?
The food is pretty basic. Tomato sauce was pretty good. Server's knowledge of the menu was not very helpful. Nothing special
Excellent thank you so much for the service and great food
Amazing food at a very fair price.
Great food, great service!
Kool good food cool staff.. great prices!!
Excellent food good variety great service. Great prices.
Great food, Very Friendly Lots of Speicial for lunch
Great place to go before a providence bruins game. Good food, great service
Food and wine great experience!!!
Great value.
The gravy is just like Nana's. I've never had a bad meal here.
Excellent Food Reasonable priced
good food great staff....a bit pricey....for what we spent we could have upgraded our dining experience....would I come again? YES
Valet parking is good. The staff that greeted me were inconsiderate at best. Granted I was 1st customer of day...last visit forever for me.
Hands down the best chicken parm in RI.
A place I really like to share with friends who haven't been before. Service is good and food is hot and tasty.
Food and service were good but just didn't have the wow, awesome food factor I was hoping for! The one thing that was odd is that we got an imitation butter spread with our bread. Had to ask for real butter. Surprised they didn't have olive oil and garlic to dip bread in. Drinks are really expensive too.
Excellent Italian cuisine
Angelo's is always a sure bet, very consistent, the staff is seasoned, the food comes out fast. The atmosphere is original. For over 40 plus years, I've never had a bad meal!
Always the best food and service also Valet parking
Chicken parm is the best I've ever had. Excellent service and consistency. Not easy to find. Keep doing what you're doing and we'll keep coming back.
Great service, great food.
Family environment and excellent food.
Food is still good and service is also, but they use to be known as good home style Italian food cheap. There prices are not inexpensive anymore your going to spend as much as you would at twin oaks or marchettis
