Amazing food. And awsome staff. Been going for years never had a bad meal or experience. If your going to the hill go there for food

We arrived and were promptly seated. The inside feels just a tad crowded, as they have used every square foot possible to fit tables. I ordered the fried trio as an appetizer, and although I have no regrets, it's not something I would likely order again. For my main dish I ordered the stuffed veal steak. It's described as "Veal stuffed with mozzarella cheese and eggplant, and prosciutto then topped with a mushroom cream sherry sauce". When it came out it was more like two large pieces of veal steak with all the cheese and eggplant in between. It was a very large portion, and made me completely full. I also had a couple lumberjacks to drink, which are bourbon, brown sugar, maple syrup and fresh lemon juice, they were pretty tasty. So, if I lived in the area, this might not be my go-to Italian spot, but I would probably come here once a month or so.

Great Italian atmosphere with a solid wine list and reasonable prices. Loved the red sauce, lasagna and the Canoli is fantastic. Our waiter, James was attentive and helpful with lots of tips on what to eat and things to do. The manager John Smith was polite and listened to what we had to say. All together I would highly recommend this restaurant.

What a fantastic meal and service from our waiter! It can get a crowded on a Friday and Saturday evening but it’s still a great atmosphere if you are not in a rush. Parking can be challenging at peak times but that should be expected due to the historic location. Overall, it’s worth the trip and money!

Very good Italian food. Had a great dinner out on the back patio. A bit pricey but If you don't mind paying a bit more for good quality, you'll enjoy Andino's!

Jeanne Farley

Food and service were great. Table was not so good. We were a large group (12), seated right by the door to the patio and the servers station.

Great Italian food and a great atmosphere! The waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating making for a wonderful experience. The family and myself all enjoyed our meals which the portions were very generous. Nobody left hungry or dissatisfied with their meals. If you like traditional Italian fare I highly recommend trying this fine establishment.

My wife and I go here every year for our anniversary and are never disappointed. The food is is amazing and the portions are huge. The staff is outstanding and the atmosphere is top notch. Strongly suggest going here for any occasion.

My favorite Italian place on Atwells. It’s not pretentious having a relaxed vibe. It’s very charming. They have traditional Italian American dishes but some more unusual dishes as well. I once had artichokes in lemon sauce which was delicious.

Make sure you make a reservation. We have gotten turned away before. Never disappointed. Best eggplant parm. Delicious bread at the table. We had a pasta special too that was amazing. Also enjoyed a lemon basil martini...make that two. …

Stublmbled upon this place while visiting providence and I'm very glad I did. The food is excellent and prices are very reasonable for what you are getting. I have been back a few times and will be sure to return when I'm in the area!

I went to Brown over 25 years ago. This was and still is one of the best Italian restaurants on Federal Hill. They used to tell you not to sit in the windows...... in case there was a mob hit! Ha!!! The outside has changed a bit, but the food is still the same. FANTASTIC!!!! I have never had a bad meal here! Nice walk from downtown. Most recently had the Veal Saltimoboca. Well worth it!

This place is about the size of my living and dining room, but the raviolis are infinitely better here. I got the 5 cheese raviolis with pesto and chicken. Each ravioli is like the size of a fast food burger. Absolutely amazing. You get good pours on the straight liquor too, reasonably priced. If I am in the Boston area, I am taking the T down to this place again.

Great food, fantastic service. Wish I was staying longer in Providence to try them again. Pasta was excellent. Would love to try the Al Fresco dining. My only 'issue' was that I was seated near the kitchen door. Noisy seat with dishes banging and staff congregating. Food and service far made up for this. If not noisy I would have rated 5 stars easily. Would be a good place to bring a date.

Classic Italian cuisine. Very comfortable environment. If you love Sangria you have to visit! They have a large variety of Sangrias. All made in house,I believe. Great experience.

Food was great. People smoking outside was not so great. The big portions were appreciated, but we wished we had more attention from the waiter. he was perfectly nice, but who wants to wait for a refill while the servers socialize? They have valet parking, but I cringed when I heard you had to pay $20 leave your car there after you eat (i.e., if you wanted to walk around). I get it, it is a busy area and they need the spots. But I think it would be wonderful if some places went above and beyond expectations once in a while. There are a billion restaurants in the area; I am not sure why I should go back to this one. EDIT: Adino's, I am actually going to have to concede here; you are partially correct that my review was over the top. I was definitely on my soapbox there for a bit!

We went on a Friday afternoon, and found this place because of Trip Advisor. Amir was out Valet and reassured me our rental car was in good hands and it was. Maria our Server was very friendly, caring, knowledgeable. The atmosphere was really neat with the dining area being Italian looking in nature, and the bar side had the Movie Stars, etc. Frank Sinatra was playing. There is also an outdoor dining area in the back. Now, the food - Italian Bread straight from an Italian Bakery! Dipping oil, so good! We all got the 3 Course Lunch Special. Two of us got the Salad and two the Chicken Escarole Soup. Two of us got the Pumpkin Ravioli, and two of us got the Artichoke Hearts. Three of us got the Lasagna. One of us got the Eggplant Parmagina. Which came with my choice - Broccoli with oil and garlic. (Needed more garlic - I love garlic). We all thought the food was very good. In fact, the Eggplant was exceptional. I have not had such a dinner since I was much, much, younger, and my Italian Grandmother made the same dish for me. I'd give this place a 10+. So if you are in the area, make it a point to eat here, you won't be sorry. Thanks for reading, and have a great and safe day.

Loved it here. My Andino plate was very good. Fun atmosphere and fun part of town.

We have always been fans of this place. The food is consistently great. Love the atmosphere. Last night was no exception. The bonus to the night was Lauren. She made the night fun. She has a great sense if humor. More than once she harrassed my husband and we loved it. I have always said ...waitstaff can make or break a meal and she was the cream of the crop. We love good food but we love the fun too so last night was perfect!

Chris Secor

Fantastic food, start to finish. Appetizer, entree and dessert ert were all delicious. The only thing better than the food was the service. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Eddie

Made reservations at this restaurant week in advance, and got confirmation so all was good right, no Reservation was cancelled a few days before so they could give it to someone else.

Steve Bennett

Great service by Cynthia. We had a squash florentine appetizer. Amazing. Lunch portions were huge. Great finish with the cappuccino.

Since the food is moderately/high expensive, I expected fresh food or at least good tasting dishes. My family and I order smelts as an appetizer, which tasted like it was microwaved (soggy and not at all appetizing). I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo, and it was 75% sauce (heavy, and very cheese-y) and 25% noodles. My friend ordered the Veal Marsala, and it was like my Alfredo - 75% wine sauce and not at all fresh. My other friend order the Lobster Ravioli. They overcooked the lobster and lacked juice. For $15-$20 a dish, I expected much better quality than this. We will not be back soon.

Decent fancy restaurant on the Hill. Definitely not kid friendly (I probably should’ve known this based on the atmosphere). We had a 2 year old who slept and was quiet the entire time we were there. There are no changing tables in the restrooms, and the waiters rushed us to get out. Maria literally came by 10 mins after we got our food and asked if we wanted to pack our food! Probably fine for a business dinner. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for a family dinner.

Jay Howard

Feels like a taste of Italy with a home cooked twist. Great selections and the service was great.

Went for my nieces birthday. I ordered chicken piccatta, it was delicious! So tender and flavorful. Danielle was so sweet, she took a picture of our group out in the patio. The gentleman who Valeted the car was very professional and patient! I strongly recommend this restaurant!

Management is absurd. Please sort reviews by lowest ratings! Whoever is responding to the reviews needs a psychological evaluation. The food is olive garden quality on a good day. Deep fried chicken, canned sauce, and store bought pasta …

W Julian Andre

Food is good. Folks working there are friendly. Service is not as fast as in NY. Overall experience is good.

Amy Ricci

Grrat food and drink, friendly accommodating service

janet bedard

Love Anthony and his staff. Great food and service

Debby Orsillo

We had a great meal here, the food & atmosphere was great. Friendly & prompt service on a late Saturday afternoon. We had the stuffed stuff & Ferdinad Fettuccine , both were delicious, oh and the clams casino!! Valet parking makes it easy. We’ll be back in sure.

Carolyn Pereira

One of my favorites on the HILL! They have a gorgeous back patio with plants and shrubs and flowers. Great Frank Sinatra music. Food is amazing and the summer sangria selection and Martini selection is like nothing I've ever seen! If you're on the hill you need to make this a destination.

Andino's has got to be the best and freshest Italian food I have ever eaten. Myself and my friends could not stop eating even though we were full. I had the lasagna and it was amazing. Everything was amazing including the ambiance and our waitress. What a great ending to my vacation.

Shital Patel

Service at the bar was great. Food was steamy hot and had a good taste. Huge portion sizing. I felt the sause was missing a either a little kick or sour to it. It comes across a little bland for my taste buds.

Maik B

Glorious! We are very big fans of Italian cuisine and are looking for the best in the world and are pleased that the restaurant has made it into the top 5 of our favorites in Italian cuisine. The food was just great, tasteful as in Italy and the arrangement of the food was stunningly beautiful. The service was very great, very hospitable and you always smiled and well served, this immediately a welcome and always enjoy the people. The decoration and comfort were great, as in Italy. Unfortunately a bit tight, but no problem. Conclusion: Anyone who is in Providence and loves the Italian cuisine, should definitely visit the restaurant.

PJ S

Food was great, I got the chicken parmesan and I would definitely get it again. I loved the atmosphere, you could tell it was rubbing off on people the right way because the entire restaurant started singing happy birthday for this one person. Friendly down to earth staff and the valets out front make for a smooth dining experience.

Andino’s is hands down the best Italian restaurant on Federal Hill. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. We went for an early dinner on Friday and had a wonderful time. Our server was M.J. and she was great. Andino’s obviously cares …
