REVIEWS OF Adrak Indian Cuisine And Bar IN Rhode Island

Located in the South County Commons, this place has some really great Indian food. The restaurant is really nice inside and the service was great. I tried both the tomato soup and hot & sour -- both were delicious. I love the variety of Naan bread that they offered. I ended up ordering the lamb vindaloo, which was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes on the menu.

Good variety and delicious Indian food. Very neat and clean restaurant. For people interested, the non-vegetrian food is Halal just like their other site in Westerly. Reasonable priced buffet. Little kids are charged less for the buffet. Very calm and nice atmosphere. Friendly and talented staff. Spacious restaurant. Highly recommended place.

Very tasty food and friendly service.

The service was ok nothing to brag about. The food quality was bad. The name says that it’s an Indian restaurant but there is nothing like Indian in that place. The curries are watery and tomato puree. They must be buying cheap chicken as none of the pieces look good or have any flavor. I won’t recommend this restaurant for anyone.

This place is absolutely amazing! Very reasonable prices. Large quantity and very delicious food. We’ve been there thrice in less than a month and will visit more!

Very nice lunch buffet setup and perfect for anyone looking to sample the complex flavors of various Indian dishes. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. One of the many highlights of the lunch buffet was the fresh Naan served with the meal. Overall, the dishes were full of flavor and the experience was fantastic. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good lunch spot.

The dishes are perfectly seasoned and fresh. You can tell the chef knows what they are doing. I have ordered twice and taken it home and I’ve just had the lunch buffet, which has a wide selection, and everything has been really delicious. The staff is kind, the place is clean, the food is great! I love this food and will be a repeat customer!

Delicious! The vegetable chettunad was one of the best I have ever had. All veggies were fresh, not frozen!

One of the best Indian Foods in RI !!!! If you ever crave Indian Style Kaju Curry, this is the place. Go and ask for chirag. He is one of the managers. Thank you for great food.

After visiting Newport, RI my wife and I searched for an Indian restaurant on our way back. We missed a turn before we left Newport and then we found this restaurant, which is just 20 mins from Newport. We entered the restaurant at 8:30 on a Saturday. No one was there at front desk so I waited for a minute or two and then I went inside directly and asked who can take our order. This restaurant is new and is open from past 5 months. We’ve ordered a vegetable biriyani initially as we didn’t know how’ll be the taste. We got our order pretty fast. I must say, it’s one of the best yummy biriyani I’ve had in recent times. Irresistible to the taste, we’ve ordered another Vegetable biriyani and finished it fast! So definitely a best place to go. It has good ambience. It’s just on the way to i95 south/north, best place to stop for food if you’re traveling. There are plenty of shared parking among other restaurants. Restroom was very neat.

So today I visited finally since it’s newly opened, actually its open now for three weeks. I ordered honey chicken for an appetizer along with Bori bread (for reason it is by request not on the menu). For main dish I had goat biryani (you know when you go to an Indian restaurant specially first time, a biryani is a must try wether lamp, chicken, veggie or goat). I tried the masala chai (tea). Everything was delicious. The staff were very very friendly. I even met the chef and promised him that next time I ll try the lamp biryani. I will absolutely visit in the near future.

located in a former Tequila bar, the restaurant looks nice. However, their food is awful. I had the lunch buffet with my coworkers They barely put any food out and unlike other Indian restaurants do not have good vegetarian options like paneer dishes. Only one waiter/owner serving everyone...which slows service, and you have to wait for naan for a long time. This restaurant boldly advertises "All you can eat lunch buffet" on its front window, but ensures no one eats much by a) providing low quality food b) reducing the quantity of the food on the buffet table., and c) not having enough variety (2 chicken dishes and 2 vegetarian options). You are better off eating at a fast food place than getting sick with their food. The owners should be ashamed of serving such bad food.

If you want to upset your stomach then this is the place. Not the greatest place to get Indian food in Rhode Island. Curries are too bland, diluted, and not authentic in my view. Very poor quality of Indian food.. We wen't there for lunch and they hardly had any variety of food and the buffet was one of the worst I had in last many years.

I have found the food at Adrak to have unusually rich and interesting flavors. Kudos to their chef for drawing out more flavor than I've ever experienced in Indian food. The lunch buffet is a great deal, and includes ever changing dishes that are not on the regular menu. I've found it a great way to get exposed to more Indian dishes than I would usually be able to experience when just going out for dinner.

the buffet is super satisfying. speciality: veg noodles/fried rice.

It's a shame, such a nice location and such awful food. I would not recommend this place at all - They skimp on lunch buffet by barely covering the bottom of the chafing dishes with food and their curries are highly diluted to create volume. Even their naan bread is not as good as other places. Food is not even hot..... Wonder if they recycle the food from previous day .. This was my first and last time to Adrak....never again.

Food is delicious! Had food at another Indian place nearby and Adrak blew there food out of the water. Reason for the four stars is because the service was very slow. Had to wait awhile for silverware and water.

The dishes, whether spicy or mild, are all boldly spiced, fresh and distinct. Lunch buffet best I've had, beats the PVD Indian offerings easily. So glad these guys came to town!

Very delicious food, great menu options and good service.

Had lunch buffet over the labor day weekend. The food is tasteless, The meats are not kept hot (this is a code violation). The chafing dishes hardly have any food in them, you constantly have to ask the owner/waiter to fill it up. The naans are thin and not like the authentic Indian naans. For vegetarians, this is a bad place as the buffet has awful choices such as spinach daal which is watered down to increase quantity - there is hardly any daal - mainly water. The veg curry is made by dumping random cheap veggies into some watered down gravy. They say that they have 10 items in the buffet, but they trick you by counting 3 chutneys as part of the buffet choices. The only dessert they had was a fruit custard (as that is cheap to make)...it was tasteless and the bottom of the chafing dish was barely covered with the dessert. The owners seem to be purposely not heating the food (against the regulations) and not providing enough food so that they can profit more from the buffet. The naan replenishment take forever to come. Overall the the only good thing about Adrak is its location in a nice strip mall. The food is bad and cannot be called Indian Food.
