Wow! I have re-discovered Smith's now that I am working back in town. I always thought they had a limited food menu but you know what? I realized that every entree, appetizer, dish, etc. is perfect and of the utmost quality. Their food is amazing. There are two sections to this establishment. I am not sure what they call them but both have dining areas and a bar. I call them the North bar and the South bar. I tend to gravitate towards the North bar. The only downside to this place is the space (comfortable capacity) and the fact that they are both an Eagles bar and a Patriots bar - just putting it out there. However, there is no disrespect of this wonderful establishment in the heart of Center City West. I have been to Smith's with friends and colleagues very recently on various occasions and the consensus was the food was A++. So therefore, I thought, I'd rather have a small menu of awesome, perfected dishes, than a huge selection of options that hinders the overall quality. These people know how to do it right! There are daily food specials which vary by day but every happy hour, which is Mon-Fri, not 4pm-6pm, but 4pm-7pm, (3 hours! you kidding me?) there are drink specials and food specials - most are only $5 each. Awesome! I ordered my team nachos, guacamole, boneless wings, and filet skewers. With the happy hour specials and a friendly staff, Smith's is a no-brainer for a work lunch or company happy hour.

This place is great. We were traveling through on thanksgiving and couldn't find any place open. Just happened to come across Smith's. Decided to try it and are so happy no one else was open. Heather, the bartender, took great care of us. Top notch. Crowd in the bar was very easy going (we're Detroit fans in a Philly bar - could have been bad for us) and we had some great conversation. Would highly recommend.

My new favorite place. Grew up in New England so I obviously am thrilled to have a Pats bar near by. Food was good, service was excellent. Our server made good suggestions for both food and drinks and did a great job taking care of us, a full bar and a full upper restaurant of tables on a busy game night. I was in Rittenhouse looking for somewhere to dine and passed this place. It seemed like an option until I saw the Caitlyn Jenner "joke" sign others have posted, which was grossly offensive to say the least. I actually called them about it the next day and they said they'd taken it down after the first complaint and apologized. I thought they were sincere but I've since come to learn that they put up a new "joke" every day, and they are often incredibly offensive. Numerous ones have been rape jokes, like: "Pick up line of the day: ask your date, 'hey does this rag smell like chloroform?'" So this lets me know they AREN'T sorry, and they think this kind of thing is okay. Obviously I will never set foot inside.

I've only ever come here to watch the Patriots- it is THE Patriots bar in Philly (I think Red So too). So I have to evaluate as that. Its fantastic for that, lots of space, 2 bars, drink specials ($4 any draft) and nice bar food that's not too fancy but still tasty. Would totally recommend coming for this. Rest of the time... Seems like a normal bar?

I was with a group of ten that had dinner at your restaurant this past Friday evening. We were in Philly from out of town for an event on Saturday. After calling several other places and unsuccessfully getting a reservation, I was very appreciative that your restaurant accepted our reservation without hesitation. I ordered the signature salad with sea bass which was excellent. And I know most others in my group enjoyed their meal as well. The problem unfortunately was the service, or specifically our server. She may have actually been a hostess covering for a server, but she was not very attentive to our group. When our dinner was served, there was a mix up and one person in our group did not receive her dinner until long after everyone else did. Our server actually checked on our table without realizing that she hadn't received her meal. And then a lot of time still passed before she received it. This meal was a signature salad with chicken, mozzarella cheese instead of goat cheese, and dressing on the side. The worst part is that when the server finally brought her meal, she told her it was so late because she had requested modifications to the salad. That was completely uncalled for when everyone else was practically finished with their meals. We weren't looking to get this meal for free or anything of the sort. But a simple apology for the delay would have been appreciated. However she was basically told it was her fault it was late. Yikes!

The staff is horrible, especially the bouncer at the front. Tall guy with beard, usually wears a baseball hat. Not worth the wait for his unprofessionalism and rudeness. The bar is nothing special either.

It is a pub as much as anything else. It has an appropriate limited menu with a good variety to choose from. Soup/chili is $10. You can measure from there. It is very busy for lunch, maybe a little crazy. I have been here a few times for lunch with friends/coworkers. I'll likely be back.

Don't feel safe drinking or eating in a place where the staff think domestic violence and demeaning women is, "funny and meaningless." By the manager's own admission, the staff choose what to write on their front window advertisements... so when they write things like, "I like my beer like I like my violence... domestic," these aren't staff I trust not to turn their head or even be complicit with violence occurring in their establishment.

Aside from the lack of decent service, the staff forgetting you're even there, and not even mediocre food, if you can get past all that, you'll see the promotion of domestic violence, racism, sexism, classism, and the management thinks it's all great because it's funny. It's vile! I would hate for someone to visit this place and be triggered by the signage.

Pleasantly surprised. Authentic pub look and feel. Loved our bartender/waitress. Our meals were delicious also. The cauliflower app was so good! A little spicy but just right. Plus they have McGregor's new whiskey I've been wanting to try (pretty smooth). Try it out.

This is a Pats bar on Sunday's and it gets PACKED. They have great game day specials ($10 pizzas and $5 boneless wings) and their food is actually really good (but skip the calamari). Their servers sometimes get overwhelmed but are always pleasant and really do their best.

I went there a couple of nights ago to get dinner with my friends and the atmosphere was really cute, unfortunately we sat at a table and weren't talked to until we saw a mouse run across the floor and we had to say something to a waitress. We were about to leave and our waitress kindly offered us drinks on the house, but we left shortly after. Also, the food is overpriced and the menu isn't very specific so many questions were going to have been asked if we wouldn't have left. Would NOT recommend

Me and my friends came here and we sat down and we were looking at the menu for about 10 min, no one has come to us yet and we spotted a mouse. We told the bar tender and she nicely offered us drinks on the house and then the waitress that served it to us just told us “it happens” no apology or anything. We were just finishing our drinks waiting to see if this mouse would come toward us. Yes it is understanding that these situations happen, they should have handled it better.

While I have at times with friends frequented Smith's, we won't be coming here again. As people in Philly's LGBQT community and women, we're exhausted of the bars cheap misogynistic and sexist shots at women and queers on their sign in the window. Even though the owner has been kind in saying it won't happen again... It's been five years of "It won't happen again" Five years. Smith's, clean up your act. Take responsibility for your staff. It's old. You've chosen self preservation over community. And wether or not you agree, today Philadelphia enacted a law putting tougher penalties on businesses that discriminate against people based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, and class. This has been a long time in the making, organized by people who have risked their comfort and safety for something much larger than themselves. Please think about that.

I ordered the nachos which was more than I thought for the happy hour price. The Whiskey Flight is a nice chance of pace basically $12 for 3 whiskey shots. The mesquite wings were very good.

Smith's is basically a sports bar, but they have above-average food. The turkey chili was fantastic, and the guacamole and wings were good too. The beer selection wasn't huge but was pretty good. Was great for hanging out, eating some good food, and watching football.

Watch your drinks here because the staff sure won't. I'm not sure if they're all so ignorant or if they truly enjoy abusing their customers and anyone who might pass. The owners and staff encourage violence and misogyny with their decor. They clearly spend more time thinking of insulting phrases than keeping the restaurant up to par. This terrible excuse for a bar/restaurant blatantly displays their lack of respect for all of humanity. Signs like "I like my beer like I like my violence, domestic" and "now that we're married it's technically "our" vagina" do nothing but encourage and stimulate rape culture.
