This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Indian restaurant.
The cuisine is absolutely delicious and service is extremely fast. The staff are all super nice and concerned with their customers happiness. Their menu is very diverse but could use more details in descriptions of dishes.
Hubby is from India, we both love the food here. Also, the bar has a good ambiance and decent cocktails. If you are dining alone or feeling informal, they will happily serve you any mix of dinner fare/appetizers at the bar, in the sequence of your choosing. It's a good place to meet or reconnect with the locals.
Food was good but served too quickly and we felt really rushed.
Great value, great food.
Best Indian food! Awesome ambience. Great catering.
Awesome buffet. We go almost every weekend
Incredibly fast service, delicious food, good atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Go too place.
Eat delicious and excellent service
Always a great hot lunch buffet
First class Indian, good food, good service.
Great buffet at a great price. Location is great too, right next to trolley.
Passable Indian food. Over priced for sure.
I wanna share the bad experience which I had today at sher-e-Punjab. After having dinner I bought 2 samosas for my friend’s son who is 3 years old. I smelled the samosas they had foul smell. I really hope I didn’t purchase them they should really check the quality of the food they serve.
nice atmosphere..good service..good food. worth a try.
Went during lunch. Reasonably priced and great food! Will go again.
Chicken tikka masala is delicious.
On a week day, items are very limited and not worth the price
Their ingredients are fresh, and their flavors are spot on.
Fine lunch buffet.
Great atmosphere and service. But no parking lot. Food was great. Some of the dishes were awesome others may need improvement. Overall, it was a great experience.
Had gone for a buffet on the weekends. Samosas were good. Rest of the food was average.
Tasty, tasty buffet. Unfortunately the service was lousy the day we visited, and the vibe my buddy and I felt was decidedly not small child friendly.
Best Indian food I've ever had. Not much more needs to be said! Fast, friendly, cozy place.
Good Indian food. Very pleasant atmosphere. Great buffet! Cloth napkins and excellent service. Certainly a cut above the typical Indian foodery.
Great goat curry!
Very good food, with great service. Food prices vary well and a great atmosphere.
Love, love, love their food, is delicious. Every single thing I have tried here is awesome
Never disappointed... great service and great food. Chef- owner takes personal interest in ensuring quality is at par and consistent.
Amazing food. The buffet is so nice! Great price n big selection. Full bar!
They charge too much , Expensive food and the lady talk RUDLY to me she ask why do not u give tip to Driver ? Tip can not be Compulsory so you can not Force customer she DO NOT KNOW how to talk with customer. i order so many times from this restaurant and very poor Quality food some times. but i avoid it because they do not have any competitor here.
Loved it!
Had a horrible experience here on 2 separate occasions. The first time, I went during the lunch buffet. There was a guy sitting in front of me who was almost finished eating. I asked for Naan and the server reached over and gave me the left over naan from the guy sitting in front of me. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The guy sitting in front of me even said “you can’t do that, I bit and touched it”.The server then gave a weak apology. I let it go. The next time I went there I ordered naan during the lunch buffet and the serve had the nerve to tell me I had to pay $2 plus extra for it because it was a privilege to get it and was not mandatory for them to do so. I told him I had been there before and never been charged for naan during the lunch buffet. He argue with me and I paid the extra $2 plus and left. This poor service and behavior wouldn’t have happened if I were a white woman. Very racist attitude from the staff especially the guy who calls himself the manager. I will never return and I’ll make sure to spread the word. Zeros starts.
Okay place. Thanks
Very good. Without the buffet on Sundays it's a bit pricey, but overall great food and great staff.
Food was excellent, and the service was very quick.
$.7.50 per each small child on your check. We were $7.50 each for 5 year-olds. It was not a mistake - I asked at checkout if they were intentionally charging me for little kids - the answer was yes that is our rate for child at week end buffet. Not to mention - this is the last time we are having a family lunch at this restaurant.
Good place and kept well maintained. Food is also good. Especially the kabobs and tandoori items are excellent. Biriyanis and curries and naans are also good. People are nice and food came out in decent time.
It has good ambience. We ordered OKRA curry and it was over aged/fibrous. It was very bad experience. They should have not served this kind of food. It is bit expensive for the quality of food they serve
Good food.
one of the best indian buffets in this area. Reasonable price, clean, good ambience, helpful staff, very good quality, tasty food with variety .... We live in king of prussia area and it was a worth 30 mins drive for us..
Food was good but service was lacking staff walked around but didn't ask if we wanted to order any drinks any more bread and when it was time to pay we had to walk to cashier no check, where a female taking my payment snatched the card from my hand and was annoyed that I didn't leave a tip. But I would have if you treat us like you wanted one.
I was over the moon about their delicious food and just as we finished our meal, a ROACH crawled from behind the picture frame hanging on the wall next to our booth. The male server had no response and there were no discounts or accommodations. My stomach was torn, I paid the bill and left.
We ordered the appetizer sampler platter. My meal companion enjoyed the 2 beers, while I ordered the Honey Lemonade... It was weak and watered down, and I couldn't taste barely anything but water and a little sugar. I would not recommend the drink. However if you are in the area, you should totally visit Shere-E-Punjab and make up your own mind. Good luck!
I ordered through Grubhub and they didnt even update that order was ready to pick up untill I went to pick it up Gobhi pakora wasn’t cooked properly. It was raw from inside.
Nice Indian Food. Loved the Goat Biryani.
Fantastic Indian
Indian style wings were awesome. Drinks were a little shaky buy I guess bartender can work on it, beside that service was really great. Boss lady served us with bunch of info relating the menu.
I had few times little issues with this restaurant couple years ago but now they have improved so much.staff is awesome, food is way better than before.inside restaurant interior and fixtures are real nice and clean.i would definitely keep giving you guys business
Okay okay
Bad experience here. I am a frequent flyer of Shere-e-Punjab since the Media days and recently at the Glen Mills location. But lately your takeouts have been going through bad quality checks. I have come back from home twice recently to return some inedible dishes. Today, I was denied what I wanted in return since it costed $5 more. I could not trust the integrity of the management when they came back after a while to tell me that the dish was not available. Not sure if there are gonna be any more takeouts from here for me.
Delicious! The restaurant has a spice scale from 1-5, 1 being less spicy & 5 being there most spicy. Very flavorful.
Always a great place to grab a quick lunch with a friend. Staff are super friendly and the food is great. If you're not into spicy food, I would avoid this place (or any Indian joint for that matter). As it is, I love it here. Street parking is available but have your quarters ready. Or, park at Media's parking garage nearby as they accept credit cards.
Love the buffet selections
Wonderful Indian buffet. Food is always fresh and changes often. I've never had anything I didn't like. Recently had a squash dish was amazing.
I was very let down by this place. The atmosphere was great, the seating area looks amazing.....but the food was sub-par. It was certainly edible, but did not reflect the high price.
Excellent buffet offered here daily!
Good Indian food, reasonable prices but empty everytime we have been to this location. Does have a bar with a TV playing whatever game is on if that's your thing.
This restaurant is not good I can't tell the service because every time the service charges. The food is the same and the price changes.
You can taste the love put in every dish.
Great food. Good vibe. Good service.
Food is ok. Very very rude staffes. I used to like this place no more. I have to find a better Indian restaurant . No plates , water glass is tirty.
Absolutely fantastic. The service was great, and the food was exceptional; very authentic. Will be back to try at least 5 more entrees.
Indian food for people who love Indian food! Don't over think this decision just go here sit down and enjoy !
Wonderful mood and food.
Amazing every time!
Great food, great price, awesome flavors at good price
I've only ate here once but have to say my wife and I enjoyed the food and service very much. The service was good, the food seemed price slightly high but nothing ridiculous and everything was great. They brought out the food still sizzling in the pan and was very attentive to us.
Excellent food. We sat in the beautiful bar area right by the large open windows. Great night.
Great food! But Vegans beware. Food marked in the menu as "Vegan" is NOT vegan when you get rice (which is complimentary - so often comes regardless of being asked for). We were informed by a very nice server that the rice is in fact NOT vegan. Think of it this way, if you ordered a water at a restaurant that, unbeknownst to you, used piss to make their ice cubes, but you didn't specify that you didn't want ice cubes, you'd then be drinking piss. It's like that...only nothing died when you drank piss unknowingly. *It should be noted, the water was fine...as far as I know.
Excellent food a good service.
Some of the best indian food around
Rice rice baby! But it was great. Awesome food.
I loved food and service
Best indian food in the area.
Best Indian food in the area, everything on the menu is good. The bar is also a nice new addition. Great service, good beer list, A+++ all around!
When you have a craving for Indian food, Shere-E-Punjab hits the spot. Their 7-days of lunch buffet is an all you can eat treat. Nice dinner ambiance or good for a tasty take out. Solid bartender.
Authentic delicious Indian food
Excellento
Good for lunch buffet.
Food was AMAZING! Best authentic food in town! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back again and again with friends!
Sooo good!!
Most pathetic food I have ever tasted in any indian restro. I visited three times but each times returned with big dissappointment.
The food and service we're excellent! We shared a couple dishes and had drinks. It was a bit noisy due to a party but otherwise very good.
Amazing food every time we're there, at either location. We usually go for the lunch buffet, which is great and cheap. If you want even better food go there for dinner when there's no buffet. Food usually tastes a bit fresher and you can order at spicier levels which I love! Staff is always friendly and helpful at suggesting things to try.
Great place for Indian food, better than the Indian food joints in Philly. Chicken tikka masala and the chaat simply rocks!
Great place! Food was awesome. Tandoori wings were the best I have had and I've been to many Indian restaurants from the city to here. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Food was bad and the service worse!
My go to for Indian food on the Shore.
Excellent vegetarian options at the lunch buffet
Why can't they fulfill my order right. I ordered Shahi paneer and they give me chicken. My parents are pure vegetarian and i cant even go back to the restaurant to change it as i live about 30 mins away.
Great lunch buffet!
Good Indian restaurant with a quality lunch buffet
Best Indian Food in the philly region !
The food is delicious
Delicious Indian Cuisine
Great food. Everyone had their dish tuned to the right spicyness. Full service bar. Try the mango martini!
Absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend coming at the buffet time (11:30-3:00) so you can try everything. Anyway, everything always tastes great and has a perfect amount of spice in it. Excellent set of beer as well.
Amazing for you taste buds
Not a place for authentic Indian food. Find a better one
Malai kofta - kofta doesn't have paneer its just made of potato.
Buffet was mediocre, all chicken and kofta dishes were seasoned with the same masala. Tandoori chicken was soggy, and being a "Punjabi" restaurant, you would expect some North Indian taste in the food, not just ghee. We came in 30 minutes before buffet was closing and the staff provides minimal and rude service. The only thing I enjoyed was the company I was with. Go somewhere else.
Called up for Jury duty? The lunch buffet at Shere-E-Punjab is *the* destination. Reasonably priced and good variety. Been here for dinner, enjoyable, tad pricey, takeout was confused, and delivery was a once off disaster.
I always enjoy this place. Good food and good service. Very nice bartenders on the weekends.
Good food, but definitely not the best Indian I've had. The prices aren't terrible, but it's not what I would call cheap. Also, I ordered my vindaloo as spicy as they would make it, and it still wasn't very spicy.
Although this is an Indian restaurant, they do not want to welcome Indians, The staff is extremely rude towards Indians , I just called them to find out what is there in the vegetarian buffet as I was traveling 45 miles to reach the restaurant and the server told me very rudely that we should come and check on our own and he has no idea what is there in the menu. After hearing that response, I cancelled my visit. We experienced the similar kind of rude behavior a year ago but we ignored it that time . This time I am posting my experience with them so that the indian community is aware of their racist behavior.
Went for lunch buffet. Everything was good.
I would give zero stars if it was possible. This was my first time trying indian food and was very excited. However i left with disappointment. when we entered the restaurant, no workers were to be found; besides this one guy that was sitting all the way in the back eating. When we said we wanted a table for two, he told us the restaurant was closed. First of all why is the door opened? And online it says they are opened from 10Am to 9:30Pm, mind you we came in around 3Pm. I am not sure if they were denying service because we were asian or they’re simple rude.
Great Indian food. Will go here again and again.
Great place very clean .. even better foos
It was a cute little place with pretty good food. Hard to know what level of spice since it is all relative. The saag I had was nice, worth a go if you like that dish.
Very expensive.
Really good food and decent atmosphere. I would recommend the lunch Buffett. $12.95
YES. All of the yes.
Very nice restaurant and food so authentic I love it that’s why will be back again with my friends today for her Birthday
Food is always excellent. Drinks not so much. Got a Cosmopolitan and it just didn't make it. Blues Stroll on Saturday night and this restaurant consistently produced great dishes.
Delicious food, nice place and good people.
Best lunch buffet!
Presently surprised! Delicious Indian food and a vey nicely appointed restaurant.
Some of the best indian takeout I've had.
Wonderful customer service, delicious food
Go-to-place for indian food in Delco. Always a good meal and good beer selections
Good but not great! Very pricey for not-so-great food.. Had combo appetizers, Chicken biryani and dessert.. Though I cannot complain about the taste, I wasn't very happy with it given the hype surrounding it and the price!!
Best lunch buffet in Media! The restaurant was recently expanded and remodeled, and now features a nice bar to go along with the food. Service is decent and friendly, and the food is great. Sometimes it can be tricky to get enough Naan, but that's about my only complaint.
Nice food and reasonable prices. Some veggie options have similar gravy tastes....
Pretty Good - for Delaware County
Vegetarian here. The paneer tikka masala was a little sweet. Tikka masala wasn't supposed to be sweet. The biryani wasn't really biryani. It was more like curry mixed with rice. There was no flavor of any added masalas like cloves, cinnamon or star anise. My non-vegetarian friends weren't happy with their food. Chicken biryani or chicken curry. There won't be another visit.
Best Indian in Media
Nice ambiance and good taste.
Excellent Indian food.
Buffet is hard to beat.
Good food. Service could be better
Great Indian food Buffett for lunch. Good food and nice price.
Good food, helpful and friendly staff. Best deal for lunch buffet in town! Lots of good options, their Chicken Tikka Masala is my go-to (and a steal on the lunch buffet) but they have lots of good options. They rotate the selection on the lunch buffet, but some cornerstones are always there. For dinner they have more options and you can get the food as soon as spicy or mild as you like which is good for both chili-heads as well as people with a more sensitive pallate. They also have a full bar.
The lunch buffet is a good value. Most flavors are quite good. Not many spicy dishes.
I loved this restaurant. The owner was exceptionally friendly and kind. The restaurant itself was elegant, clean, and had a wonderful feel to it. The chicken tikka masala was unbelievable. Very creamy and flavorful sauce. The chicken was extremely tender. The basmati rice and the naan were perfect, and the lamb samosa (first time I ever had) hit the meal out of the park. Definitely stop here when in the area.
Excellent buffet ...lots of variety and the food is fresh and delicious.
Went to Shere Punjab in Media for lunch buffet and found the place to have good ambience. When it came to food a completely different story. Low quality, bad taste and chicken tikka was never replenished! Definitely stingy on the meat and the vegetarian entrees were just mot good. To top it all off the "ras malai" which is a dessert item was placed with salads. So if you are new to Indian desserts you would not know the difference between and accidentally may put ras malai on your hot food thinking it was yogurt!! Very bad!
Excellent Indian buffet. The buffet lunch is a good deal. A la carte also good but expensive to get the variety available from the buffet.
Worst food. , Worst service. Don't go. Not even 1 star.sunday buffet is 13$. Only one desert . This should be closed.
Happened to run into this restaurant on my recent trip to Philly. Excellent (close to) authentic Punjabi dishes. The lunch buffet had my favorites Malai Kofta (I have rarely seen any Indian restaurant having Malai Kofta on the lunch buffet) and Saag Paneer. They served warm buttered Naan on the table. The Naan was soft and fluffy. Samosas on the appetizer tray was little disappointing. They could have been softer. I also tried Kadi Pakodi and Aloo Baingan (Egg plant Potato curry). The kheer was very good. Overall, for $9.95, it was a good deal.
Ordered the coconut soup and Tandoori mix special. The coconut soup definitely taste like coconut a little sweet for me but it was good. The Tandoori special the flavor was out of this world. Atmosphere has good service was good I would go again.
Decent food for the price
Lamb Vindaloo! yes!
I love the friendly cool staff, the happy hour and the Chicken Vindaloo
Great Indian food.
Great Indian food
We had heard that this was the best Indian food in Delaware County, but it's not. It's definitely Indian for white suburbanites. There's not much flavor, and the spice level is non existent. For approachable Indian, you're much better off at Tiffin or Ekta.
The night time dinner buffet was really really good. We went for the first time on Christmas eve.
Love it.
The food is excellent, service is fast and friendly. Lamb korma is to die for.
Rude and arrogant staff. We got here at 2:30 in the afternoon today (04/05). We were greeted by a very rude server. We sat down and got food from the buffet. Tandoori chicken and pakoras bins were empty. We asked if they can bring some but this server (Pritpal) said no. He said they are closing (mind you if was only 2:30 and the buffet closes at 3). We were 2 of us and were given only 1 naan. We asked if we can get another naan since it was two of us. The same guy Pritpal said in a very rude and condescending way "I already gave you 1". I asked to speak to a manager but was told there is no manager available. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
Love this place. They serve one of of my favorite dishes here made of eggplant. Price is reasonable and great for group also since they also have a bar.
Buffet for lunch was delicious and the service was friendly. The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming. I will be coming here frequently.
Great food. Their lunch buffet is the best around. They have it 7 days a week and it's only $10 during the week. The chicken took I masala is amazing both on the buffet and when I've ordered off the menu. Also ordered a bread basket off the menu and it was delicious. 4 different kinds of naan: onion, sweet, plain, and another kind of here, served warm.
