Went here for dinner a few days ago. Asked to sit outside which was wonderful. Our server Chloe was amazing. She greeted us quickly and always kept our drinks full. We ordered the sweet potato tots and jalapeno dip for appetizers and they were amazing!! Very large portions as well. We both got pizza for dinner which was equally delicious. The prices are also very reasonable and they have different specials each day. 100% recommend this place. Ask for Chloe!

On Wednesday nights you can get 1/2 price bottles of wine, which was all I really needed to be sold on this place. The food is also really good, though. The French Dip is incredible. I just wish they had a bigger selection for desserts.

Nice place. Good food in a nice variety. Waitress was very nice. I wanted a sandwich they no longer listed on their menu. She knew the exact one & had them make it for me. Seating isn't the best but that's just me. I prefer not to sit at high top tables. There was regular seating but it looked a little cramped, so we opted for a high top. Wasn't awful, just not my preference. Definitely will go back.

Outside seating, great atmosphere, friendly service... The food menu has so many choices - everything seems very fresh, and it was delicious. Having vegetarian options is a major plus. The drink menu isn't very extensive, but I still give it five stars because I definitely recommend eating here! (Pictured: Portabello Tacos)

Ordered 2 burgers and a buffalo chicken wrap. Wait for food after ordering was over 30 minutes. The wrap was fine. Tasty and very spicy sauce. The burgers had grissle and bone fragments in the meat, much more than one would expect. The fries were good.

Food was excellent! The restaurant has a lot of outdoor seating which is perfect for nice nights. The menu was quite extensive but everything looked fantastic and unique. I tried the fish tacos and a chicken sandwich - both were better than than expected for the price. Medium to Large portions. Wait staff was not overly attentive but not bad.

I’m obsessed with shadygrove! The salads are huge and absolutely amazing. I’m gluten free and my sister is vegan and we always find something to eat. There are so many choices, a lot of menu items can be modified to be gluten free or vegan. This is my go to place to bring picky eaters in Pittsburgh, everyone finds something and loves it!

We went there for lunch. They were out of burgers! Really?! Chicken wrap was too spicy and my lunch date said his sandwich wasn’t great either. We sat outside which was nice. High price for what you get.

Great drink specials for a Saturday night ($5 vodka drinks). The food was incredible. The atmosphere was lively and hip. We were seated right away our waitress was friendly and super helpful with recommendations. Great experience, definitely will go back again.

We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, drawn in by the street menu advertising lobster rolls. Alas, they were sold out. Now I know to stop by earlier. We had a great lunch. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Waited 15 minutes for a drink and didn't get one so I left. Wine Wednesday was packed and they weren't equipped to handle it. They also don't sell pitchers which made the situation worse since pitchers are a more efficient way when there's a lot of people. Instead everyone bought their own beer which took longer and bottle-necked the bar.

When my family and I first sat down our server came right away. We got our drinks shortly after and then placed our orders. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the rest of my family all ordered burgers. The wait was a little long not gonna lie but once my pizza finally came it was well worth the wait. Overall I had a solid experience and will definitely be back whenever I’m in town again.

My favorite restaurant in Shadyside. The place maintains a large menu that keeps expanding. The less adventurous of your party can definitely find something comfortable to adopt as a standard, while the less easily satisfied won't get bored. The quality is great, and the place won't break the bank. If there's anything negative, it's the wait on weekends. I'd be seriously remiss to dock them any stars for that, though- they deserve the business.

The hostess Lauren has a bad attitude after we’ve been waiting for 2 hours and the the manager Jade was giving me a fake smile like she didn’t want to hear what I had to say. There’s a way to speak to people, and that wasn’t it. Learn some etiquette. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Great spot with a lot of options. You can't go wrong with one of the burgers or sandwiches. I have not ordered the pizza, but the buffalo chicken sandwich and the Diablo burger are my favorites. My friends really love the sweet potato tots as a side! They have different specials everyday and lots of beer and app specials for happy hour from 5-7. Check em out!

I visited here with my wife, daughter, and my daughter's boyfriend. He had visited the Grove often during college and recommended it. We had great service, very good food, and a good time. Our waitress was spot on with everything and highly attentive. The beer selection was fine too. I will visit here again each time I come to Pittsburgh.

Love this place! At least a dozen huge salads served in stainless steel mixing bowls! Great burgers and wraps, too. Casual place with excellent customer service. Our waitress was attentive to all 5 of us as we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

I ordered what I thought would be a simple spicy burger (Diablo burger) but what I got was a complex gourmet meal. I was impressed with the use of a drop of lemon juice to really make the flavor pop. The portions were large so I didn't leave hungry (we ordered the nacho appetizer and was not able to finish the full order). I would highly recommend to a friend!

I don't usually get excited over pizza, the the pizza here is actually worth mentioning. It's a doughy crust which is not my taste, but again this pizza is the exception. Actually had a bit of a sweet taste and the cheese and sauses was just right. Definitely worthy of a return visit.

The best part about Shady Grove is that there's something to please everyone in your group because the menu has so many options. My personal favorite are the enormous salads (seriously, served in mixing bowls. they are awesome) and the sandwiches - especially the buffalo fried chicken sandwich. Half-off bottles of wine on Wednesdays and Fridays is a happy hour deal you just can't beat. And on the weekends, the upstairs turns into a great dance club!

I really liked this place. Two floors (I was upstairs for my visit). It was small, but welcoming. Drink prices were average, nice finger food, pizza. I enjoyed the live music they have-- I believe it's weekly! Just remember, depending on the night, or occasion, it can feel like a tight fit.

Food is overrated, average at best. They target their customers and take advantage when possible. The bartender I also experienced when I visited makes me never want to go back again. If it was morally acceptable to explicitly degrade him on here I would, but i'll refrain from ruining his life, for now.

Shady Grove had a long wait, and do not do reservations so CALL AHEAD. The food was great though, and they had a lot to choose from! I would recommend eating here, but parking can also be an obstacle. If local small lots are full, you must find tight street parking.

A fabulous bar and diner with welcoming and friendly wait staff. A nice and varied menu with specials at weekends. Tips are automatically added to groups of five and up. We liked this bar enough to return. It is not very quiet as there is music playing and several TV distractions.
