Here you will see the feddbacks of people who are buying the products of Mintt Indian Cuisine (Restaurant) in the area close to Pennsylvania.
To this day the firm gets a score of 3.9 out of 5 and that rating is based on 637 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is good, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we can conclude that the assessment is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Indian restaurant.
Located conveniently on Banksville Rd. Spacious interior, neatly arranged and chairs. Excellent wheelchair accessibility. Friendly staff provide excellent service. You can get eggless pastry, which taste good. North Indian menu items are very well made. South Indian items fell below expectations. Adequate parking spaces though sometimes inconvenient because you might only see the limited space in front of the restaurant. Also when you exit parking, inconvenient u-turn to be made if you're driving towards Mt. Lebanon
We had one of best experiences with The Mintt's catering services. We happened to choose Mintt kinda last moment for a party at our house. We didn't know much about this place and hence had our reservations with it too. Our 1st contact was their manager, Mr. Ismail, who from the initial conversation made us feel comfortable. We decided to test the food out before we ordered it, hence went there. Each person there was very personable and we also noticed that they were not just doing the routine..but were having friendly conversations with their customers. The food was above awesome, the service and hospitality even better. We were extremely impressed and actually even surprised given the online reviews we had seen. 1step was down ...the next was the catering... We still were nervous, but when we went to pick the food, they had taken care of every little detail that was needed...from a hot box, tray stands et all.... And finally...the food...was a hit! Our guests absolutely loved it ....Mintt..you will have many more coming your way! Thank you so very much Ismail and team!!
Good Indian food. But however lack of choices in their Buffet on weekends. Dosas are topnotch !
Mintt has always been a great place for me to get my Indian food. Staff are always friendly and there food is one of the best in Pittsburgh
Regular meal prices are a little high, but the lunch buffet is a great value. The food is always wonderful, and staff is friendly and attentive.
Weekend Lunch buffet are good with fish items and more veraities
Mintt Indian Cuisine is my current favorite place for when I want Indian food. Mintt has friendly staff and delicious food. Recently, I brought a friend with me and she liked the food. I have never been disappointed going here. If you like Indian food, give this place a try!
Service is good and the taste is good compared to Tamarind :)
Better option among other mediocre Indian restaurants in the city
The BEST Indian food ever. I like all Indian food, but I really think the it's is gourmet. Just delicious. The afternoon buffet is a great sample for a great price.
This is not only the best Indian in the area, but one of the best I've ever been to. Friendly. Great food and great variety. They do not pull punches with the heat.
Good place to buy to go, but lot of people drinking and shouting like market place but that’s fine if we go with friends but not with family
Very bad food I’ll never go again it’s like tasteless food I ever had .
Always good food cooked fresh.
Food is absolutely gone in drain
It was an alright experience eating there. The food came out fast and out waiter was nice. The food also tasted great and it was hot. The main issue with this place is it's severely undermanned. There is simply not enough people working there. There pretty much two waiters running around trying to help everyone. Our waiter was a waiter, the cashier, and the dishwasher, all at the same time. That was the main issue with that place. This resulted in not getting our water refilled, and personally he forgot to give me any water. Also, our plates were taken away a while after we were done.
Place was crowded during the lunch buffet, but good food for the price!
Good Indian Buffet in Pittsburgh
Prices are good, great service, very good food with a great variety.
The food was fair.... the price was cheap... alright if you are on a budget
Bad quality of meet and chicken
My favorite Indian restaurant in the South Hills. The flavors are always full-featured and spot on. The place is large and can accommodate parties from 2 to 20 with no difficulties. Walking into an ethinc restaurant and seeing lots of folks from that group as a large portion of the clientele is always a good sign and that's what we found there. You need to be a bit patient as they take time to prepare your food and the food comes out of the kitchen in some sort of order, but not one thats clear to us. Still an excellent meal and place.
The taste of food is really Indian.. Especially the Chinese items we had were really same as we get in India. Pastries are worth trying.
I hate giving this score but the service gets worse and worse each time. I understand being busy, but being ignored and forgetting food over an hour after ordering, that's ridiculous...
I've only been here twice but both times were very good
Excellent and wide variety of very reasonably priced Indian cuisine. Nice ambience.
So far best indian restaurant in Pittsburgh
Delicious food, excellent lunch buffet, special Saturday buffets too!
This place has buffet which is good for non vegetarians for variety of non veg dishes..Vegetarians better take ala carte...Also its a bit more spicy than other Indian restaurants food around..It’s near by sabzi mandi which has Indian groceries...
Thali is good here but the non veg snacks platter they serve is definitely not to take it's half cooked and one get food poison it's my personal experience
Good food! Liked it. Special minty biryani is tasty
Good Chicken biryani traditional style
Food is alright, we always take out special biryani. You can try not bad.
Best place to eat Indian food in Pittsburgh. Real Desi Taste i found in all items i eat over there. Thank you mint Indian cuisine.
We were greated and told to sit anywhere. 15 minutes later, no water, no menus. We left. (Smelled delicious though.)
Superb Indian Lunch! The buffet is great and economical as well. For 9$ you'll not be able to eat your next meal as well. Its that good. If you are Indian of course, then you understand what I mean
The restaurant has off street parking. Nice buffet, good selection of chutneys. The Naan is very fresh. The Chili Chicken lives up to it's name. Would definitely eat at Mintt India again.
I ordered a grubhub from here for lunch Incorrect curry, so salty that it felt like poison to me I never expected this from Mintt because i always liked biryani and indo-chinese but today was so disappointing! Not a huge fan of service too
Always have a good experience with the buffet. Nice variety, and fairly clean which is great! Staff is pretty courteous and friendly. Sometimes you do have to wait awhile for a table.
Good Indian restaurant with good south Indian menu. Nice weekend buffet .
Their buffet has a wide variety. Except for the chicken biryani being a bit too spicy, other items were pretty good. I will definitely go again.
Best Chicken Biryani I've ever had at a great price
The curries we're a little bit too salty. However the egg fried rice was not bad.
Better place in Pittsburgh, buffet was good . Gulab jam was the best. Dosas in the buffet are good .
Very Happy with the food quality, taste and variety in the buffet. My friends tried mango lassi and said it was good too. They have pastries as well and the pastry they kept in buffet was good. I will definitely go there again when I visit Pittsburgh :)
Food was very good. Taste was excellent. Food was served very late. They took almost 45 minutes to prepare. The person serving the food was very nice & nice too.
The diverse dishes and abundant vegetarian and meat entrees are absolutely delicious, every time I go. The hosts and servers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. I've been dining at Indian restaurant buffets for >20 years and Mintt is, by far, the best place for lunch buffet- especially on Sundays.
Best Indian food I've ever had! This place is amazing.
Amazing food. Mintt chicken and mintt chicken biryani are must try items. Sunday brunch is really good too - chicken kababs with mint chutney is really good, their rice payasam/kheer is very good. Staff is usually friendly too, never had any negative experience with the restaurant
This sits among last on the list of my best restaurants I've visited in the US. Service is fine. But the standard of the food is not good. Being a South Indian, I can definitely say that this is not authentic food as many people have suggested. Looks like they prepared food hastily just for namesake.
Waited 2 hours for my food. Food was cold, Coca-Cola was warm.
Good food. Options were limited though on Friday. Will visit again.
The food is the best in my opinion. The samosas, chilli chicken, mixed rice, and goan shrimp curry and fantastic. I highly recommend Mintt if you are craving Indian.
Best Tamil cuisine in pgh! Their weekend lunch buffet is the best
Tastes good. Employees are so kind
The buffet is fabulous! Dosas made to order, hot.
Ordered from Grubhub, only got half of my large order. All of it was disappointing.
This is the go to lunch place for my office. I live close enough that I also order food here from grubhub. Good prices and variety.
Terrific lunch buffet and friendly service. Only down side is not alot of spicy food options. Love this place!
I love their food! Their buffet is excellent with a good diversity to their menu. They change dishes fairly often so as not to bore the locals, but I always love the Palak Paneer!
The place is nice, the food was good as well. The service could have been a little better. The everyday lunch buffet is probably the best bang for the buck.
Sizzler is good. Other food was average for taste .
The place is okay. I have been here twice and taken a biriyani to go. In all the occasion the food was okay; not very tasty. Ordered dosa last time I visited and everything including the sambar and chutney was bland. The service was also so so. I may visit again.
Delicious! They even have Chinese food in their Indo-Chinese section.
Incredible food and an amazing staff!
Not sure why this place doesnt have a higher rating. Definitely one of the best Indian places in the Burgh. Beat Naan in the city hands down.
Mediocre pakoras good, rest bland
All good
I would recommend this restaurant. We enjoyed both our entrees, the service was great, and very friendly. I liked the atmosphere. The menu was extensive. BYOB (remembered I had wine in the car, bonus!) We will be back.
It's alright. Used to be much better in quality and taste, did not seem to be the case at our last visit.
Worst customer service, I have ordered food for pick up and I reached hotel only to know that they have canceled my order, they have not refunded the money yet.
Good food friendly fast paced
Nothing wrong with food . But whoever manager was that day . I asked for Thali its on the menu but his response was “ we don’t serve no more people dont order here “ well he could have said nicely no need to be rude . Just get off the menu . If he treats coustomers like that how would he treats his employees an unhealthy environment i feel sorry for this restaurant. Need to change A$$$$$$ and bring good management
The Kheer was nasty and they forgot me mango kulfi...
Very fresh and tasty food , perfect balance of spices and all this at reasonable price!!
Great food, but horrible service. Rude at times. Takes forever to get a drink. Doesn't listen when taking your order.
Good food but can be better
So good.
Great food! Love the buffet on Sundays. Great spread.
Really good, It is authentically Indian food
Best tasting Indian lunch buffet in Pittsburgh. A la carte can be better
This low-key restaurant offers a really excellent selection of authentic Indian dishes and deserts! The only reason I'm not scoring it 5/5 is because they seem inclined to make food less spicy than requested. My "6 out of 10" heat-level dishes tasted more like 2 or 3s...but they were still excellent!
My friends and I go here for lunch frequently. Lunch buffet is always a good time, New things on the buffet every time we come. Can't get enough of the chicken Tikka Masada and Naan. Lunch buffet every weekday, dinner menu, we prefer going for the lunch buffet. Always enjoy trying new things and you can get alittle of everything here. Definitely recommend, one of the best Indian buffets in Pittsburgh.
The food just tastes really good! What else can I say!? Oh, how about all the Indians in the area go here so it gotta be good!
My all-time favorite restaurant of any genre. Go there weekly since it opened. The friendliest staff. Amazing amazing food. Addicting. I rarely go elsewhere when I eat out these day. The vegetable tandoori is a masterpiece. Highly recommended.
The food here is absolutely incredible! I seem to visit every time I'm pregnant. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Tastes great. Especially south indian cuisine. Lunch is buffet. Buffet is worth the price for non-veg lunch but not for a vegetarian one.
Excellenr buffet with friendly staff
This is such a great little restaurant. Very clean and the food is superb. The waiter is always very courteous. One of my favorite places.
The food is really good. Everything i have tried is exactly what i expect from a good Indian restaurant. Comfort food flavors. I'm in love with the Peshawari naan. It's so fresh and buttery. But the service is really slow. Maybe it's because I usually go there later in the evening.
Great price and good food! A good place to chat with your friends for long and eat. Not very crowded
Mintt does an excellent job. Top notch Indian Buffet in the city, and we have many in Pittsburgh.
Nice place to visit once in a while...The taste of food will not so mouth watering. But it’s decent.
Delicious samosa chat
Great place , good food , friendly service
The food is the reason to go. It is very good Indian Asian cuisine. It's the kind of Indian food that tastes amazing but won't overwhelm you with flavor after the first several bites making you tired of that dish or flavor. We enjoy the buffet (we usually avoid buffets). I have trouble believing anyone has had consistently bad service at Mintt. Seriously, we have good to great service every time we go. Servers are polite and helpful. Can't be red carpet service every time. I'm not sure if some expectations in some of the reviews are too high but the service is consistent with the restaurant and food quality; very good every time.
I stopped in on my way home to grab dinner. The staff were really friendly and polite. However, I ordered a lamb korma, and instead was given a goat korma (I didn't realize this til I got home). We went ahead and ate it as it was too far to go back. The goat had quite a bit of fat and two huge pieces of bone in it. I also ordered channa masala. It was ok, but the sauce was a bit too runny for my taste. I would try again, as I won't let one bad experience put me off. But the first experience was disappointing.
It’s to much to wait for one item for 1 hour.
This is one of the places to go for indian food in Pittsburgh area. Lot of options to choose from and food tastes good. I tried chicken 65 and chicken biryani. I rate 3.5 of 5. I went here for buffet during weekend. I like different varieties of tiffins, snacks, starters, main course, and of course desserts. It is so economical compared to other main courses. You can definitely have stomach full. I rate 5 star for starters and desserts, and 4 star for main courses. There is room for improvement in main courses. Overall, I recommend this place.
The lunch buffet during the week isn't the best Indian food I've had, but it's a great value.
Buffet is good and economical..
The food was decent, the service was good, and the most amazing thing that I liked about this restaurant was the fact that they gave us a range of how much spicy we wanted our food to be on a scale from 1 to 10 where 1 was the least spicy and 10 was the most spicy. Although we went with 2 out of 10, the food was still spicy enough but not terribly so. We ordered chicken butter, chicken biryani, and a garlic, naan and they all were good. The food was freshly cooked and we enjoyed the offered level of hospitality. Although the food was good, the rating of this restaurant at three stars is because, one, there is a problem with parking spaces (limited), and two, we had to wait for about 15 minutes before our order was taken, though the restaurant was not that crowded. Once our order was taken, it took about 45 minutes for our food to finally arrive.
Nice place to get good Indian food. The ambience is fine. Service was quick. They make good cakes too.
This is a comfortable dining place, not an upscale gourmet experience for sure, but a great place for dinner once you know what you like. I have been there for dinner on workdays a few times with colleagues and received mixed feedback. Personally, workday evenings means simple recipes for me like veg pulao and dal makhni and kadi pakoda and I have loved the freshly-cooked hot homestyle comfortable meals.
This place is so good at what they do. Flavors are bright and on point, ingredients are always fresh and gorgeous looking. I recommend the tandoori salmon and tandoori veggie sample plate if you are looking for healthy and delicious...the curries are all top notch too. Keep being among the best, Mintt. You are appreciated.
Nothing good except the service. We were really happy with service, but as soon as order came in, every item disappointed more and more. One of my order item `Malai-kofta`, I think chef took the name very seriously as the whole gravy was nothing more than orange colored cream, and kofta were literally `kofta` balls just placed in that Malai gravy exclusively for you, not even dipped properly leave apart cooking them in that gravy. Other items were equal participant in our disappoint from this place.
Food is good, but there is no ambient. Just a garage with tables.
Nice authentic Indian food. I will definitely recommend goat biryani, idly, and mango lassi here. Gobi Manchurian is not bad.. service was not bad.. Give it a try if you are craving Indian food
Good variety of dishes on the lunch buffet.
The place is clean and has a nice ambience. The food tastes good! A must try!
This was mu first visit and staff is very courteous
Best Indian food in the city of Pittsburgh. Plenty of parking. High quality buffet. Clean environment. Extremely attentive and friendly service. The Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan are to die for. Prices are affordable. Centrally located close to downtown. Never a wait. Spacious and comfortable seating. Closed on Mondays and closed for a short period of time between lunch and dinner.
Great buffet. A bargain for lunch.
Tasty food with South Indian style
Even my kids love it
Place has wonderful food and the buffet has more items than most. They also increase the lunch buffet on weekends too. Best Indian food in the area!
The food was awesome! I will definitely go back, the Palaak Paneer was great and their Naan had a great texture.
Great food and desserts as well
This was my first time eating here. The music and atmosphere was very authentic. The Samosas were delicious. My server was very nice and professional. I ordered the Baingan Bharta which was made with eggplant served with a bowl of Basmati rice. Very tasty! The Roti which is an Indian whole wheat flat unleavened bread was my choice of bread. Went well with my meal. I recommend this for anyone who likes authentic Indian cuisine. They do have a lunch buffet as well. I'll definitely come back for that...
Always our go to for take out when craving Indian food. Their food is so delicious.
One of very few restaurants for Vegetarians
Yum! Dinner was wonderful!
Always a wonderful and changing selection of food. Everything is always soooo.... Good! We come here often for the lunch buffet and are never disappointed. Also wonderful vegetarian selections (the majority of options) and they are helpful to point out vegan options if asked. I am normally vegan, but usually make an exception for the paneer.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in all of pittsburgh. I just have one problem. About 75% of the time that I want Indian food is a Monday, and they're closed. I'll still give 5 stars because their onion naan makes up for them being closed on Mondays. Although I'm still very sad and hungry for Indian.
The food is delicious. I was here for dinner and was very pleased with the taste and variety they had to offer.
Excellent lunch buffet
Weekend buffets are INCREDIBLE!!! Varied selection plus a dosa station.
One of my favorite Indian places. Great, authentic food. Try the kurma.
Very good food! Loved the buffet selections and the prices are very decent! Def coming back here again!
Great Indo cuisine.
Omg, Never had this type of indian food in US. If possible please avoid.
An Indian friend recommended this place for lunch and brought me here. I really like the food here! It's buffet, there are many seating, and the staff are very friendly. She said the food here is very authentic, and I believe her. A lot of the food they serve I haven't seen in other Indian restaurants. Parking is a problem. There's only like 10 spots in the front. You would have to park in the shopping plaza a block away and walk to this restaurant. Also, the buffet price can be lower.
You are in for a SURPRISE!! ordered a paneer tikka, paneer kadai, malai kofta, more than a couple times here, you might get a yellow gravy or a red gravy Depending upon what bulk orders they have at that point in time, the gravy might be sweet or too spicy For multiple orders. U might get two vegetables that taste completely the same or same vegetable that tastes different on two different occasions regardless of what level u ask for.
Great lunch buffet! Always a good place to go for a quick lunch when you want to get back to work!
The Mintt is up among some of the best Indian restaurants in Western PA. While the Butter Chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had in the US, the portion size was very small and only had a few pieces (maybe four) of chicken in it. For the price (above the average for other comparable Indian restaurants) I expected a good size serving and decent amount of chicken. But the flavor and taste were so good they almost made me look past that.....almost.
Lousy service, my waiter hid from me once he found out I wanted a second serving. Their idea of a buffet was a small plate with several tiny sample dishes of food.i wont everreturn.
Love spicey. Go during lunch buffet.
Food delicious, very nice and friendly staff
I give them a 5 for food which was absolutely excellent, but a 1 for service. it was just my husband and I out for dinner. They made 2 major errors on our order (forgot one drink, and reversed the spiciness on our orders so that my husband got mild and I got spicy instead of the reverse and we had to wait a very long time for another dish to be made). And then it was just a dozen other small things. We had to ask for every little thing--extra napkin for when my lassie was delivered with drips running down the outside of my glass, another serving of rice and a fresh plate for the replacement dish when it arrived, a pen to sign our credit slip at the end. Thankfully they left a pitcher of ice water on the table so that was fine, but no one ever checked in on us at any time to ask how we were doing and we had to flag people down for everything. Still, great tasting food!
Adequate take out. Small portions for the price.
Good food.
Great Indian food. Love going to the weekend buffet!
Ordered food through grub hub. Man, you are amazing. I love the chicken 555 nd the bread halwa you sent us as a compliment. Firstly i was thinking about the small portion extra fee you charged. I just wanted chicken 555 which is $6 and ended up paying $6 more for delivery. Like $12 for $6 single order. Though i dont regret. The dessert you sent us as compliment is super amazing. I would order again before i go back from pittsburgh.
Wanted to give 4.5 *s. Paneer tikka and veg Manchuria were very tasty and well made. Noodles were not bad. They also kept a surprise kesri bhat in the parcel.
Great Indian food!
The food was unexpectedly delicious. One of the best dosas we've had. Friendly and polite staff. Definitely recommended. Thank you for the great experience.
We love this place. Excellent flavors. So sweet to bring us complimentary dessert for Valentine's Day.
One of my favorites in Pittsburgh area. Great fresh food always.
Good Indian restaurant.. Nice buffet on Weekends!
Writing this review with my experience today. The worst tandoori chicken I have ever had... I don’t think I will ever return to this place as I have told the waiter that I don’t like the food and he just left without even letting me complete my conversation. The restaurant was not busy also.
I love closer to Tamarind but I prefer Mintt. The food is better and the service is better. The only thing Tamarind has but Mintt doesn't is a bar.
Mintt this place is always solid. I mostly go for the curried goat and tandoori chicken.
Whatever we ordered, we got something else. we ordered for goat curry we got lamb, we ordered biryani we got mint rice, we ordered palak paneer we got butter paneer i mean literally just butter and sour cream in it. Not visiting here next time!
Lunch buffet is consistently below average.
I have been there on a weekend. The place wasn't so crowded and the ambiance was okay. The food was not that great. Also, expect the quantity as per the price (Low price, low quantity).
It's basically South Indian food style. But the spice levels are maintained medium.
Don’t waste your time ordering here- you’ll only receive part of your order OR something entirely different than ordered, and when attempting to call the restaurant will only hear the voicemail as they refuse to answer. Save yourself the trouble and try somewhere else.
Great Indian place! Highly recommend the buffet.
