Casual upscale freshly prepared consistently good food! Crab cake, pork chop, chicken and filet always great.
Visited here when on a work trip, great food! I had a special steak they were offering at the time and they have some cheap drinks available. Outdoor seating was a nice touch (when the weather is good). The food was amazing! I had the cranberry chicken, I have never had chicken that good. The waiter was excellent and very attentive.
Excellent food, and excellent service!
Good food and great restaurant. Not always satisfied with the amount of food for the money.
The food was pretty good. Not great, and it could have had more flavor/seasonings, but it was decent quality and quantity for the price. However, the service was horrible. I don't blame the waitress for that. She appeared to be as accommodating as possible. She brought wine, bread, and an appetizer in a timely manner. In fact, I was pleased with the timing of the service at that point, having read reviews that this had been a problem. Well, it turned into a problem at that point. The kitchen was backed up and our entrees took forever. We received them close to an hour and a half after were seated, or about an hour after we finished the appetizer. Apparently, the kitchen is not good at timing the delivery of the food, either. My panko stacked chicken was piping hot when it finally arrived, but my boyfriend's mahi mahi was lukewarm. It must have been sitting on the counter until my chicken was ready. I doubt we'll make a return visit.
By far, the best restaurant in Mount Lebanon. Greg, Nick, Jeremy, and the entire team are fantastic. A fantastic venue for a date, a drink, a birthday, or any special occasion. Outstanding!!
Wonderful food and great service. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for.
So enjoyable. Service is great and the food delicious.
Yum yum yummy
Great food
Meat cooked perfect, sides barely warm but flavorful , desserts and coffee excellent, waitress very nice but even dessert took close to 30 min to be served
Quiet place with very good food. Menu has a little bit of everything and all is well prepared. It's off the beaten path and has an interesting light arrangement that changes colors es all the time but subtly. Good wine list to boot Second visit showed an updated menu with the same ambience and quality.
Always a delicious meal at a reasonable price, plus great friendly staff
The Brussel sprout appetizer with bacon and feta was fantastic!
Cool spot, old school menu that has something for everyone.
Best local restaurant. Staff is exceptional, food is fantastic with generous servings and you're never rushed. Our favorite place to go for special meals.
Had a most enjoyable dinner with friends. Highly recommend for any occasion.
Pricy for quality.
Food was excellent. I could see this place as our new go to place. Unique So she and we picked a great bottle of wine. One thing I noticed that I didnt like was the menu said theres an $8 charge for splitting checks. Since no one carries cash now a days i wouldn't recommend going in a group.
I love this place! Amazing food, and the wait staff especially Kat are top notch! If I want to have a great meal and talk all night with friends this is my pick!
Stopped there Friday night. Excellent food and very reasonable. best porkchop I ever had. Would definitely go back.
The dining room is simply decorated and white tablecloth dining. We opted to eat on the patio which was great and charming. Menu had so many options we couldn't decide, so at that point decided on a return visit to try the other options. The food was delicious. Although we knew we'd be full, we had to try the Street Corn Avocado Toast under Shareables. It was amazing. Spoke with a staff member on the way out and was told chef changes the menu seasonally.
Disappointing food. My menu sounds good but not executed well. Example. Duck with kale and gnocchi. Duck was fine but gnocchi was huge slabs and undercooked. Kale wasn't braised just totally under cooked and resistant. Wierd butterscotch sauce. Cranberries could have been juicy rather than dried. Other dishes were similarly disappointing.
Great food!
Good food, relaxed atmosphere, great service!
Great service, average atmosphere in a small dining room, food was very tasty though pricey. Menu was diverse, but somewhat limited.
Payed a visit for restaurant week and it was just ok. The main course was good but didn't wow. The bread they served my table was mostly raw dough, and when I pointed this out, the server took it away but didn't bring a cooked one back, or even acknowledge it at all. It was a bit off putting to point something like that out and then it just went unaddressed. With raw dough being served and the lack of creativity; it seems that the kitchen and staff might just be getting complacent or losing their passion. An ok evening out, but not somewhere I'm inclined to return.
Food and service top notch!
Excellent - outstanding food and great service.
Good food and staff.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service!
Great Restaurant, service was excellent!
A nice meal, great atmosphere, and good service.
Food & service was wonderful.
Absolutely delish! Monica is a lovely waitress, and she covered everything perfectly! We had the flank steak and the duck, preceded by the calamarI and the mozzarella caprese. Best duck ever, and the Korean BBQ sause was tangy, but not overpowering of the steak. We'll come back whenever we visit the burgh! BTW-Lost Angel Pinot Noir is best by the bottle. Don't let the screw of cap fool you. Very smooth and a lovely compliment to both meals.
My husband and I were in Pittsburgh for a wedding and before we drove back to Buffalo on Sunday morning we decided to get breakfast. We researched a few recommendations, and decided to check out the Dor-Stop. We left our hotel to arrive shortly after the restaurant opened, and I'm glad we did.
Excellent food and service
Small and cozy; fancy, delicious food; very reasonable prices. Get a reservation and go have a lovely date! Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable, too!
Go year a couple times a year and am never disappointed. Grab a Groupon and save $15. It's a no brainer.
Service was inconsistent, specialty drinks were awful, food took forever, when it was served it was lukewarm at best, and my filet was overcooked. Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.
It was a wonderful time! We will go back some time. For sure!!!
Nice food/service/menu. We'll be returning
My boyfriend and I were super excited to try this restaurant since we had heard good things and it was local we were hoping this would be our new go to restaurant. The service was horrible!! We waited almost an hour just to get bread on the table. Wine was brought in a hot glass that had just come out of the dishwasher. The server charged us for drinks we ordered but she never brought us and when we reminded her of this she just said “okay I’ll take them off the bill”, no apology. The food was fair but not great. An overall disappointing experience.
Excellent food by a chef
Excellent high quality food. Comfortable atmosphere...great service! We will defenitely be back.
Nice restaurant, don't lunch here today. Had their special which was trout with asparagus. Nice atmosphere, good food, great lunch prices. Nick was our server and did a fantastic job. Nice place to go then from next door at the Hitchhicker.
The food never disappoints. I always find a vegetarian option and my husband enjoys selecting from their delicious entrees or their daily special. We also enjoy their appetizers and soup du jour. We love their wine selection too! Luma has a perfect atmosphere for a nice date night, friends get-together, or, quite frankly, any occasion. The servers are always wonderful, kind, and attentive. This evening we had the pleasure of meeting Nick, who was friendly and very accomodating. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you for a delicious meal and evening out!
Great, Great food in a peaceful, distinqished setting with attentive, friendly service!
Delicious food, excellent service!
Another great meal at Luma, with exceptional service from Kat!!
Delicious! This was our first time here and we came during restaurant week. The atmosphere is laid back and the wait staff was super friendly. I had the best salad, short ribs and sticky toffee pudding. That alone was worth the visit.
Luma was quite the surprise package for me, and on my lunch visit with girlfriends, totally exceeded expectations! With their cute little patio, fun cocktails and veggie options, it checked all my boxes and definitely didn’t disappoint. We decided to order a drink at the bar while waiting for a table outside. On the friendly bartender’s recommendation, I went with the ‘Mango’ which was delicious! My next drink was the ‘Grapefruit’ which was less sweet and even better than the first. The food too hit all the right spots! Don’t miss the grilled cheese dippers - tiny bite sized grilled cheese with a yummy delicious tomato bisque dip - What a brilliant idea! Like sharing warm comfort with every bite! I also enjoyed the zucchini straws but the wild mushroom ravioli was truly just perfect! Service too was on point. Luma is most certainly on my list of ‘highly recommended’ restaurants in the south hills!
Food is amazing, great atmosphere, and friendly staff!
Very good good, farm to table and a NYC bistro feel
Delicious food and excellent service.
We sat on the back patio and had dinner on a low-key Friday night. The fish and seafood dishes were wonderful, and the service was great! We have lived in Lebo for three years and didn't know this little gem of a patio existed. Very nice date-night spot. We will be back!
Had a great night with my Wife. Atmosphere was great. Smaller but thats what i liked about it. The Food was perfect, My Wife had the Salmon which was about as fresh as you can get without a fishing pole. I had the Fillet and WOW was it good. We will be going back soon
food is great but ala carte
Easily one of the best restaurants in the South Hills. Great wine and dinner specials. Trendy cool atmosphere. Great service. Not the largest place so if you are planning a night out make a reservation. The bar is small but well stocked. The wine list is excellent. The patio area is nice in the spring and summer!
The food was excellent, but the portions were smaller than I expected for the price. Overall a nice experience
Delicious food and excellent service! My boyfriend and I have never left disappointed. Highly recommended, particularly for date nights and special occasions.
They have a cook there named Bryan, wow he is the most polite employee I have ever come across and he cooks the most memorable meals for that special occasion. Ask for Bryan to cook for you!
Fancy!
Excellent food and good service.
Awesome food. The sirloin and spinach fettuccini Alfredo was incredible, cooked to medium rare perfectly. The Alfredo sauce was the creamiest I've ever tasted. The pork chop (cooked medium) was melt in your mouth.
Awesome staff, food and drinks
Delish food. Good variety. Small restaurant but wasn't too crowded. Staff was attentive. Overall, a great experience!
The seared tuna steak is amazing, as well as the deconstructed caprese app. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for (and a groupon helped). Our server was awesome and the atmosphere was as well. An unassuming, almost "hole in the wall" restaurant thats going to blow you away. It really looks like nothing special until you see the inside. Just a GREAT place for dinner all around. If it were closer i'd have to cancel my credit cards.
Love this place
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Mount Lebanon or matter of fact, the Pittsburgh area. Highest quality of service and food with an atmosphere to match. Greg, the owner, makes sure your experience is perfect. If you have not checked it out, you are missing out!
Nice place to stop for a drink at night
Nick our waiter was AWESOME. In fact he remembered my son, Andrew from the summer when Andrew first went to Luma. Nick was attentive, friendly, and personable! The FOOD was out of this world delicious!!!! The baked brie and calamari melted in your mouth. My daughter-in-law and I had the duck melt in your mouth delicious, and the sauce topping it was like a dessert in itself. My sons had the Austrailuan barrundi (I probably spelled it wrong) and my husband the crab cakes. Everyone had to have a bite for a taste. And then the desserts well what a way to finish. The lemon berry cream cake, the gelato, and saucy brownie were mmmmmmmm good. I know I will be returning!!! My compliments to the chef, the staff and again to Nick our waiter!!!
Wonderful food. Great friendly service
Best crab cake, calamari, and wine I ever had!
The Luma never disappoints! Great food and service!
The atmosphere, the decor and structure was cozy, classy and very impressive. They definitely made the most out of a small space. Prices were fitting. Service was excellent. Everything looked and tasted amazing!! Perfect dinner down to the lighting and music!
Atmosphere, service and the meal was outstanding. As it always is.
The food is fresh and delicious!
Delicious fine dining
Excellent food quiet and relaxing. Very Good service.
Delightful cozy restaurant. Don't miss the baked brie!
