The food quality has gone down immensely over time. Some of the salad bar items looked as if they have been sitting for a few days and the potato salad was SO sour I couldn't eat it. The side items on the hot bar did not appear appetizing at all. Then, a trot to the dessert bar deemed total disaster. Every dessert I tried was nasty. Our waitress just stood around and gossipped with the others and was like pulling teeth to ask for something. Overall, I am not going to return to this place to eat. I can certainly find better eatting establishments. They made us pay for our meal even though we were unhappy and didn't eat much of it. BAD FORM KEYSTONE!

Unfortunately they seem to have given up. The buffet was uninspired for the food choices and the food was dried out. The menu was an equally bland experience. Hopefully they get off of their lorals, stop relying on loyal customers and get inspired before its too late.

After reading numerous poor reviews, I was a little hesitant to use Keystone Family restaurant for my tour group. What a very pleasant surprise. The food was good, the service was even better, and the manager catered to our every need. We are a group of retired school employees from Central PA, and we try to make the food a part of every travel experience. My group prefers good solid home country cooking, and that is exactly what they got. Plenty of vegetables, cooked well but not mushy; very tasty well-seasoned, and well-done fried Chicken. Even hog maw, a country specialty. And don't even start me on the deserts - they had every pie imaginable. Double and triple kudos.

The place is amazing truly astounding food. It's just like grandma cooked a fresh meal for me. The deserts are crazy good and the selection is the best I've ever seen. Anyone who misses their grandma cooking should come to here to get food. Truly one of the best buffet I ever eaten at and will come back to. Went and had the buffet. The staff were friendly and made the experience for myself and family very pleasurable. The food was only okay. We got there at 1230 so the food was fresh but the roast beef was dry, shrimp over cooked, salad bar a little old (rotten lettuce) and the buns we're cold and hard. However, the corn fritters, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and Mac n Cheese were really good (Mac was super good!). Drinks are cold, smiles are warm. The dessert bar is pretty great too. All in all it was okay. I'd go back again and try something off the menu.

My wife had to argue the point that a 4yo throwing a tantrum and balling up one slice of ham should not constitute the full price of his buffet. Our usual experience has restaurant staff being supportive and probably hoping we leave soon. I was unimpressed.

The buffet was loaded with choices. I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. There was a salad bar with a lot of choices, there were soups too. There was an abundance of dessert choices. Lots of pies and custards and bread puddings. I am moving from Florida to Waynesboro and it was my 1st visit to this awesome place. It smelled wonderful as soon as I opened the door. You can count on a lot of repeat visits from me!! Maybe I will just do the buffet but only get desserts the next time. The food all tasted so good I didn't want to stop but my tummy said no more please

This restaurant has a pleasant family atmosphere. The prices are standard for a buffet. While they do have a menu to choose from its the buffet that is the main draw. It seems that this restaurant is the spot for retired aged patrons( not a negative comment just stating the facts) I found the food mediocre. There just isnt anything special here. If you like fried chicken, runny mashes potatoes, dried out ham and roast beef then this is the spot to dine. On the plus side, I did enjoy the salad bar even though the options there were very limited. They also have two entire tables for desserts which seems a bit excessive considering there is one buffet table for entrees and sides. There is a small table with breads and soups also. Personally, unless I am joining my retired aged parents for a dinner outing this establishment is not on my radar as an option, sadly while they enjoy it I have left disappointed both times I have eaten here, it is the same food I cook nightly for my family. But, if you want to have a large family gathering more for the company then the edibles, this is the place for you. They can more than accommodate as they have plenty of space and large tables.

We had breakfast here this morning and we were very disappointed. The food look like it had been sitting out for hours. The potatoes were burnt and the biscuits were hard as a rock. The bacon was slimy and looked old. Nothing was prepared fresh. We spoke to the owner and he didn't seem to take our concerns seriously and didn't offer to make things right. I've been going to this restaurant for a number of years for lunch and dinner, unfortunately after today's experience we will not be returning

The instant potatoes were very soupy. Fried chicken was good. Did have lemon meringue pie which was good. After trying a couple of other not so good desserts. Cheap food at a cheap price. You get what you pay for.

Food was very good. We were a table of 15 in a nearly empty restaurant tonight. We had one server, although more were present. I ordered from the menu, tho most of the group had the huge buffet. I don't want to eat here often, but I would come back. I did compliment the cook for taking temperatures of the buffet line. I was pleased to hear her say they record temps every two hours!

My husband and I are truckers, and booked a load to the area. His old Army buddy and wife picked us up at the truck stop to go have dinner. We were seated near the rear, in Samantha's section. We all enjoyed the buffet. Apparently, Friday night is seafood night. I had lots of veggies, plus huge fried shrimp and some Cod. It was really delicious. There was so much to choose from, we had a hard time deciding what to eat. You get a full belly before you have the chance to sample everything. The waitress, Samantha, has an outstanding personality. My husband and his buddy were really cutting up with her and she just played right along. She was always smiling and kept our glasses full. She was constantly checking on us to make sure we had whatever we needed. She is one of those waitresses that enjoys what she does and it shows. She is a real gem and a shining example of how to make a meal into a memory. I highly recommend this place. I truly hope you will stop in and ask for her and tip her well. She earns every dime and then some.

I don't know why this place is rated so highly. The food was seriously the worst I've had at a restaurant so far this year. Employees had zero personality. The one lonely star is because I try to support local joints. However this place is not worth the 60 plus dollars we paid to eat here. It was so bad that we actually went through a drive thru right after just to get something in our belly's.

Food was delicious but the older lady working the buffet stocking for breakfast Father's Day morning was very rude to us for no reason. We heard her being rude to other people as well. The excuse was made for her that she is that way because she's old in her 80's, which we didn't fall for! We know a lot of elderly people in their 80's & 90's that aren't as rude & mean as this lady was. If she can't be polite & use good customer service... she needs to work away from the customers. Our waitress was very nice & attentive.

I saw one of the waitresses get unnecessarily belligerent with a teenage girl for taking food they had set out for lunch...this was at 9:20am. Why is uncovered lunch food set out so early? My friend & I ordered the hot turkey sanwich with fries and gravy ...it took, what seemed like, forever to get our food. When it arrived the turkey was cold....gravy was hot...frys were not that good... Disappointed. Our other friend got buffet and most the food felt as if it had sat all day...mashed potatoes were like paste and didnt even wanna come off the spoon ....

The KEYSTONE Restaurant always has friendly service & serves customers promptly. The clientele are friendly, as well, so it has a great atmosphere in which to dine! I always like to look for gifts in their gift shop, as well. They even have fresh flowers for special occasions! Their "down-home" food selections make you feel like you are visiting grandma! It's wonderful!

Keystone is going down hill. The breakfast buffet has a lot to be desired. The biscuits were unbelievably dry, the cheese was watery and the S.O.S. tasted exactly like it's name. The waitress actually questioned me of why I asked for unsweet tea for a refill. Never did get extra napkins. Won't be back.
