We have all the opinions of people like you who purchased the services of Dienner\'s Country Restaurant (Restaurant) in Pennsylvania.
At the present this firm gets a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and this score has been based on 2252 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is virtually the best one, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the score is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Down home cooking restaurant.
Great food, excellent selection. It tastes like good old fashioned home cooking. Their dessert selection was very impressive. The buffet was under$12 (Aug. 2019), not including a drink. Children were less expensive. Still, four stars for price. Everything else was exceptional.
Large breakfest buffet. No frills, but everything is good n' hearty, and items get rotated often. Inexpensive for what you're getting. If you don't care for buffets, they have a sizable menu too. Staff are polite and don't rush.
Good food, service and prices. A buffet is available plus regular menu items. Will definitely go back when in the area again.
If I lived closer would definately eat there every day. Was so delicious.
Service is very nice and hospitable, food is always great and atmosphere is homey.
Very nice Amish restaurant. Food is fresh and very tasty. Steam tables are well maintained and trays are kept full. Prices are reasonable. Staff busses tables so you don't have dirty dishes laying around. Drink refills automatically so no need to call servers. Parking in rear. Handicap accessible. Will eat here again in the future.
Had a little waif but we had 20 people great expierience great food and very fair price and very friendly staff.
Food, service & prices are all great! My Daddy loved going to this restaurant everytime him & Moma went to PA. They sometimes went there for all 3 meals.
Home style cooking at its finest. Reasonably priced a very good value.
Food was very good for a buffet. Service was prompt and cheerful. Prices were average to high.
If you want some authentic Pennsylvania Dutch cooking this is the place to go. We never miss coming here whenever we visit Pennsylvania. It is a must stop for all of our family including our Amish family. This is where the local people go to eat.
The food was very good (I had a cheesesteak but others in my group had the buffet) - home style cooking, done very well. The peanut butter pie was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable visit.
Great food and a great variety of desserts
Great food at a very good price. The staff and service was excellent.
Great clean friendly atmosphere excellent food. Dessert bar great variety. The beef tips very tender . The broen butter noodles excellent. Homemade rolls tasty Great parking
Food was ok. We didn't see what all the fuss was about. We don't do buffet style. Maybe that was it.
Good food, great variety! Loved paying $4 for four year old granddaughter.
The food was delicious and staff so polite and welcoming. Buffet was $13 with breasted chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, corn, carrots, brocolli, buttered noodles, fish, shrimp, tartar sauce, sweet potatoes, 2 gravies, mac and cheese, beef tips and gravy, bread filling, salad bar, 2 soups, dessert bar, ice cream machine w toppings, plus a rotating pie display. We went to Millers Smorgasbord and they had less food and it didn't look appetizing and price was $25.99 so we left and went to Diener's, so glad we did.
Dienner's has a surprisingly broad buffet for such a small place. Summertime can be especially crowded, with tourist traffic, but the servers always manage to keep up. The atmosphere is nothing special. I've eaten here a few times and never had a bad experience.
Really good down home cooking!! Great service!
Home cooked meals at its best. Nothing fancy except the food
Friendly staff with a buffet with lots of food to choose from. If u go for breakfast there's a buffet and a lunch and dinner buffet too. There's a menu their too. Awesome food there!
Excellent. I promise you will leave filled to the brim.
Friendly service great prices and good food. I'd go again if in the area. Yes they take credit cards.
Fantastic food, great service, great price. Will be back.
Went on Friday evening. Very crowded but only waited 20 minutes. Had buffet. This is a family owned restaurant in Lancaster County which is known for Pennsylvania Dutch food. Everything was excellent. Food was like homemade dinners and the staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this to tourists while visiting Lancaster County.
Great food & service, the buffet can use an extra meat or chicken item instead of just one of each
The potato rolls and egg custard were absolutely delicious. Pennsylvania Dutch cooking does carbs and desserts so very well!
The food is always fresh. The staff is always friendly. The buffet has a good variety of "comfort foods". The prices are good, too.
Buffett was always well stocked. Good, wholesome food. Friendly service.
Friendly staff, excellent food.
Basic honest food, not processed. Buffet. Desserts are the best.
Best food in Lancaster. Been eating here for over 20 years and just as good as the first time. Tuesdays ham loaf is my favorite, but everything is delicious.
Food was very good. Buffet was smaller than I expected and the place is very small and cramped. Service was excellent and everyone was friendly.
Soooooooo good and really affordable! The chocolate cream pie was to die for!!
Good food, friendly waitress, good prices.
Rotisserie chicken is really yummy, and baked limas were great. Buffet is very reasonable and everything seems homemade. Be prepared to wait in line.
I grew up local, and this food is by far the best you'll ever eat off of a buffet in Amish Country. I just took my family back again (hadn't eaten here in years) and was kind of scared it wouldn't taste as good as it did back in the day. It didn't disappoint, and my children couldn't stop raving over their food. I will say, the dressing was a little gummy for my liking, but everything else was awesome. A lot of the bad reviews on this page are because the food wasn't hot enough. By the time you dish your food, walk back to your table, and tie your bib, your food will be cold no matter where you go. If you want your food hot, don't go to a buffet restaurant. This place is always crammed and busy, so if you think the food is "bland," you simply don't have a taste for down-home cooking. Go to Applebees instead.
Amish servers keep food hot and trays kept full food has a touch of Amish and English desserts are mouth ware Christian plaques remind of our savior as does the quiet music there is a wait but worth it
If I could give them 10 stars , I would. The place is Absolutely Delicious. The home made food is amazing, the mash potatoes is out of this world, the strawberry shortcake is the best I ever had . The service is superb. Highly recommend for anyone who visits Amish Country and Farms to stop to eat here. They absolutely do not deserve any of one star review which you see here.
I don't really like buffets, but this place was delicious. The waitress I had was so sweet. The only complaint I have are the people. Almost everyone that came in there was so miserable, and just stared at my friend and I because we were laughing and having a good time. Nonetheless, I'd go back again.
The food was absolutely delicious. The waitress was very nice also. There as a bit of a wait but worth it.
I really enjoyed this restaurant so much with my friend that I brought my Mom there the very next day. Great staff! Great food! Great atmosphere! I can't wait to go back! If you are nearby, you definitely need to check out this place!
This place is easily spotted from the road and there is ample parking. I enjoyed the homey feel when I stepped in and was cordially treated by the hostess when we were asked to please be seated since there was a wait. I had a cheeseburger with bacon which came with chips and a pickle slice, my wife had a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. We found both dishes very satisfactory. The restrooms were clean and well kept and the table service was excellent.
Stopped for breakfast, very busy but only had a short wait. The wait was worth it, the buffet was only $8.95. There was so much on the buffet, would of loved to taste everything but not possible. The wait staff was super nice and attentive.
3.5 stars. The rotisserie chicken platter was pretty good. The sides were excellent- the bean salad and the potato salad. Excellent service.
Great place for lunch before heading to outlet shopping. Staff are so welcoming and food is delicious! Highly recommend
Great Home Style Cooking and Buffet at an almost unbelievable price. Always have to stop at Dienner's when I work in Lancaster County.
Nice location, delicious food, reasonable price.. Besides broccoli cream soup is the best! I love this place~
Great food and lots of it for a modest cost. As with all good places to eat, expect to wait for a table.
I always eat here when I'm visiting Lancaster. The food has a home cooked taste and look to it. I've never been disappointed.
First an last time, saw waitress bring pies out and had her thumb in the pie! Waitress brought out my coffee with creamer bowel on top! I am a very clean person and that is a big no no! I got bumped really hard by a man trying to get a the buffet and never apologized and then by a teenager but he at least apologized. Food was just okay, not great.
Food and service was so good. Everyone visiting this area needs to try.
Buffet is excellent. Good home cooked food. Love it. ☺
Wonderful food and wonderful service. Took some friends from Sweden who wanted to try good local food. They loved the whole experience
Good selection of Amish/Mennonite food. Quiet, clean.
Great food and great country atmosphere. Pleasant staff, but always a wait. Certainly the sign of a place you should be!
Excellent home cooking style food. Really enjoyed! Servers were very friendly and attentive.
Always satisfied with the food and the service. We've been here many times and we'll return many more.
Awesome!! Great service and food, and an overall neat and clean place. Would recommend it to most tourists
Great food, great price for the buffet. People are so nice and friendly!
Our first time eating at Dienner's was well worth our 2 hour drive. The food was all homemade and the desserts were mouthwatering. Great job to the cooks and staff for a wonderful experience. The decor was also beautiful. Some awesome shops here to.
Ridiculously good. The soup and salad and desserts were yummy. Highly recommend.
Everything is home grown and home made there. Very Delicious! It's one of our favorite place to eat, when we go to Lancaster
Very good,nice buffet for breakfast$
We love Dienner's. The food is delicious and authentic local cuisine. They are usually busy when we go. They offer both a menu and buffet.
Delicious food. Good service. Will definitely return.
Small family buffet.Great family atmosphere. Menu also available.
I've had the breakfast buffet which is good not great but I will go back whenever I'm in the area it's no disappointment for sure
Several years ago someone recommended going to Dienner's so we gave it a try. They offer a large buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their food is consistently delicious and the staff is wonderful. Whenever we are in the area, we always make sure we get a meal at Dienner's. A word of caution, they close early and they are not open on Sundays.
I had high hopes of getting a great buffet dinner but the buffet didnt have much variety and mostly bland and nothing really exceptional. Staff members were great though.
great authentic food good pricing normally a short wait time
Been coming to Amish country for years but this is the first time we have eaten here. Great food friendly waitstaff and reasonable prices
This has the best mix of authentic foods from the area. The buffet is just enough and is not overwhelming, and the price is right! Desserts are fantastic too!
Came here from Ohio visiting. Locals recommended we come here to eat. Great recommendation because the food and service was excellent! Great price too for the buffet.
Why haven’t we tried this place sooner?! We’ve been visiting Amish Country for 30+ years, and somehow passed this wonderful place by. We were recently there for the lunch buffet and could not have been happier with our meals. At $8.55 per person, it is a bargain, considering you get a delicious buffet with every delicious local home cooked delight you could want, plus desserts galore! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place had a nice vibe. We noticed a lot of locals dining there, which is always a good sign . We definitely plan on returning and trying the breakfast buffet as well.
Great food for a great price
Best buffet because of its food and its value!
This location is know for their buffet. The food is good. Standouts are the beef, my wife is a big fan. And the mashed potatoes, they are whipped to perfection. I'm not really a mash potato guy, but I really enjoy them. Poultry gravy is very good as well. Salad bar is small but everything is fresh and crisp. Love the soups, clam chowder was a little bland, but came to life with a health dose of pepper from the table. Desert bar is unreal. Their is a little sundae bar, and all kinds of fresh baked stuff. I always think I will get a sundae, but by the time I try all the desserts I'm done. Great stuff and a great value are 11.95 for lunch 12.95 for dinner. Fried shrimp on Friday nights . Enjoy!
Very nice store. Food ok. Little pricy for the quality.
Always great food and people
Awesome food and great service...always a wait but well worth the time...Hard to beat the quality of food and pricing....When in Lancaster its a must stop !!
Good place . Nice buffet. Reasonable rate - $ 11. 95. Friendly staff. Ms Verna was too good
Great good. Very caring people.
We love this place! The service, quality of food, and value far exceeds the "bigger, popular" places! Mrs. Deiner is present and hands on in all aspects! Food is all her recipes. It is a smaller scale and you may have a wait, but it is so worth it!
Dienner's is our favorite restaurant! We come here 6 days a week for the breakfast buffet. You will not find a friendlier place! They treat you like family, the food is delicious and the waitresses and staff are second to none! A great family run place, we can not speak highly enough!
Ate here for the first time and it was amazing! I cant explain how good everything was and the wait was so worth it! I'm definitely coming back again!
Great food, pleasant staff and VERY reasonably priced! What's not to love! Try to get the every time we head up to Lancaster!
Great food, family atmosphere. Great value. Family owned and run. Best egg custard around.
Always a busy place. The food is not gourmet, but hits the spot. Service is great and the price is more than reasonable! Great place to take the grandkids!
Food was fresh and tasty. We are the buffet, even though we usually don't, because it looked fresh, and it was. Got to taste traditional Amish scrapple, pork pudding, peanut butter spread, sticky buns, plus the usual breakfast food. We presume its authentic because we saw many Amish/Mennonite families enjoying meals here. Would definitely return for lunch or supper.
The food is fantastic, authentic Amish cooking. We ordered the buffet and every item on the buffet was perfectly prepared. I tried everything which means I will hit the gym hard. The service was perfect.
Small buffet with limited options, but it was great considering the price. I enjoyed most of the food and would rate it average or slightly better than average for most items. Nothing spectacular, just decent food and service that comes in well under the price of the larger buffet restaurants.
Good value for money, everything is good but desserts are delicious!
Very good. Service fast. Food so flavorful. A must visit if you are in the area
The food here is stunning - alone worth the visit. I couldn't believe how deliciously seasoned each dish was. It's so easy for buffets to skimp on quality with so many options, but Dienner's Country Restaurant is the ultimate exception. I could not be more pleased with my experience. The staff were kind and my family felt the warm welcome. Thank you Dienner's for setting the standard for customer service and satisfaction!
Come here each time we are in town and have never been disappointed. Food is fantastic, best brown buttered noodles in state! Staff friendly and attentive. What more could you want? Place is one of our favorites!
Wonderful food with really friendly service.
Excellent food, and plenty of it. It is a smaller buffet, but the food is excellent, compared to some of the larger, more expensive buffets. They also have a regular menu to order from. The lunch buffet per person is $11.95. Went on a Saturday and there was a 30 to 45 minute wait. Was well worth it. I will definitely be back.
I loved this friendly Amish restaurant. This was my first visit. The service was impeccable. I especially enjoyed reading the prayers on my placemat and the beautiful bible verses throughout the place. The food was plentiful and delicious. I can't wait to visit a second time soon.
Located in the middle of an Amish town, this restaurant/buffet gave us a Thanksgiving dinner in the middle of May. Four different styles of gravy to top off your plate and the rotisserie was unparalleled! Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection!
Delicious home cooking. Restaurant owned and operated by local Amish family (the Dienners). Amazing selection of farm fresh food. We stopped for lunch and found that what we paid for was more than reasonable. We enjoyed the chicken noodle soup, green beans, meatloaf, Mac and cheese, corn, mashed potatoes, ice cream, jello, cakes and salad bar. Friendly staff. Busy restaurant but worth the wait! We waited about 15 minutes and visited the shops next door as the pager worked in the neighboring stores. Ranks right up there with Good n Plenty.
Chicken was ver dry. Even the new batches that were brought out. Used to love it there. But food has changed
Not a tourest trap. Good food, nice people
We love this place. We go about evey three weeks. From Carlisle PA.
First visit and food on the buffett was delicious! Loved the clam chowder, the red beets and Will definitely return soon!
Good prices and service. Friendly. Buffett Style and Menu. Delicious Buffett Food. Recommend it to anyone.
I can see why people stop to eat here. Small town, Amish atmosphere with old-school American country meals. Still, there was something off-putting. The meat was a bit dry and the food didn't stand out to me - despite the recommendations and commendation on Amish-style cooking. Maybe it's just not for me, but overall it wasn't a great experience.
Love this place. Had passed it by for years because of it's kitchy tourist vibe. My loss. This is a wonderful spot for family meals. Warm service.
Great food. Especially the desserts. Great service. Get there early as they close early.
I went to this restaurant for lunch. There was not one parking space to be had. I drove around the parking lot a few times. They had bus loads parked there so I left
Better than mom's? Very close. Home cooking at it's best! Had to have a little of everything from the buffet as it looked and smelled so good. Then came the dessert bar. Fresh soft serve ice cream to go with so many homemade pies I lost count. There are several no sugar selections for those concerned. You will be glad you stopped by.
The food we fine. Service was wonderful
When we visit the area this is where we always come for lunch. Nothing fancy, it's a small buffet but it has a lot of choices and it all tastes home cooked. The larger buffets feel mass produced, this doesn't. Lunch price is around $11. If you arrive and they're crowded, your wait goes by fast. They have parking in the back.
Great food, great place. Good value.
best breakfast buffet in lancaster county. maybe a slightly limited selection compared to some of the tourist trap hog mall troughs, but they've got all the staples. pretty fairly consistent. my one huge major complaint is they replaced their standard chocolate long johns with ones filled with boston creme. absolutely disgusting but not enough to keep me away, but just in case dienner's staff sees this they should know NOBODY likes boston creme and it is offensive to refined lancaster palettes.
This restaurant is one of the unique place to go with your friends/Family. It’s worth the money, not that pricey compare to other surrounding restaurants. The quality and taste of the foods is 10/10,Delicious and healthy. If you are looking for a restaurant around Lancaster, this restaurant is indeed, a must to visit.
This is old fashioned real Pennsylvania Dutch Amish cooking. It is made rich and delicious by applying butter, salt, sugar, gravy, sauces, and other ingredients to make it good eats. This is not food for liberal snowflakes, so don't go, then complain. As the Amish say, a full barn and a plump wife makes a man happy.
I had the buffet and enjoyed it very much. If you like healthy homemade cooking, it is great.
I went to Dienner’s today. They have great food and a great wait staff! The highlight of my day is that someone who happened to be there the same time I was, had bought my meal! I have no idea who this friendly soul is but I want to thank them very much! You truly made my day. I would recommend this diner to anyone!
Excellent service and food! Very welcoming, you may have to wait but it is worth it! I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid! It hasn't changed a bit.
Very tasty and healthy dinner buffet. The best part is the desert. Waitress are girls in Amish dress (I think they are Amish girls). Our guide on the bus tour to the Amish village recommend it. I'm glad we tried.
Yum! We really loved the food, it was hard to not excessively eat. The dinner buffet tasted like it was homemade. We really enjoyed the rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and beef tips, the buttered noodles...the desserts were fantastic. There were so many options, like cherry cheesecake, eclair pie, peanut butter pie, pecan pie, ambrosia, chocolate cream pie, 3 layered pumpkin pie and so on and so on. Kids prices were reasonable too at 94 cents a year. Great bathrooms, pleasant staff, quiet family centered restaurant. Definitely recommend!
Great value. Worth the wait. Roasted chicken very good. Great value. They have a buffet did not try that. Pie good but needed to be warm. Crust amazing
I normally don’t like buffet restaurants because of the poor quality food. However, our BnB host recommended this place. As with most buffets, the food was not good. *Yes, I should’ve known better.* The rotisserie chicken was delicious and the peanut butter pie was fine. Otherwise, the food was poor quality food. Mashed potatoes tasted bland and possibly came from a box. The Mac n cheese was similar. Long line, but the service was excellent. If you want to get full on cheap food for a great price, this is your place. If you want fresh, quality food, keep looking for a restaurant.
Great ambiance! Good service. Excellent food!!
Our Church Group were in Lancaster, PA for the afternoon Sight & Sound Performance of "JESUS". But before that we pleasantly made reservations @ Dienner's & what a fantastic choice this was for either their Buffet or personal choice. Excellence in every respect!
It's what chicken should taste like. Love the vegetable and desert options. A great find!
Great place, and great service, food
It's worth the wait on weekends and it's well worth the price very nice people and food is just as nice haha
Food is great! Service is great! Selection not as large as other buffets in the area, but food is MUCH higher quality. Price is Right where it should be and is worth the wait time during peak hours.
I gave 3 stars only because everytime we went to eat had same thing over and over they need to change food always serve chicken ham beef in gravy their desserts tho are outta this world food is good tho need to change menu prices are decent
Great service and great food!
Went for the buffet. The food was great at a great price. Staff was great and did an excellent job.
Great food and plenty of it. It closes at 6pm
Good variety of foods. Consistently great. Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere, including bathrooms. Always our recommendation in Lancaster PA.
Awesome buffett! I personally love their biscuits and sausage gravy.
Love this place! Great food and amazing staff!
Great food and service. And good prices..
I will forever be thankful to the horse and carriage driver who recommended Dienner's to me close to 20 years ago. Simple homemade food that is absolutely fresh and delicious and the staff couldn't be any nicer. Year after year my family and I have never been disappointed.
The food was very good, with big servings. Staff was very helpful.
Been there many times since I was first taken there about 9 or 10 years ago and I love it! The food is great, restaurant's always clean. Waitress we had today was very nice and attentive to us. Will definitely return again.
Barely any options and the options offered are disgusting! If I could give no stars I would! I compare this place to a smaller home made version of Home Town Buffet. And that place is horrendous.
Great buffet. Reasonable prices. Better than some of the larger establishments (seems to be something that locals like just as much as a tourist).
Very reasonable price. Great food
It was my first time there. It had very good food. Very good waitress.
The food is top notch and the buffet is 1 of the best I've ever had. It was well worth the 50 minute wait to get a table. We've been hitting many of the national chain restaurants in the area and the chain food definitely doesn't come close to the food from Dienner's. The price of the dinner buffet for 3 of us was even less then what we spent at the chain restaurants for dinner with locally sourced, cooked and baked goods. Yumm. We're definitely going back for more.
very inexpensive, but I am advocate of you get what you pay for. The best part is the roasted chicken, skip everything else.
I can see why this place has such good reviews! The food is amazing. They had red beets, mac n cheese, chicken, green beans, noodles, mash potatoes and a few other things. Then there is dessert! Hot fudge cake, eclair dessert, egg custard, carrot cake, apple crisp and even vanilla ice cream. Their creamy cheese brocolli is so good! Best broccoli cheese soup ever. Their hamburgers are amazing too. I'm glad we stopped by! You should too! Extra note: If you do buffet the pies in the glass case come with it. Unfortunately we didn't know that.
Good food and value.go early. Hour long wait
Feels like home. Every time we come here it's reliable home cooked food. Granted it doesn't really change much, but sometimes you don't need to fix what's not broken. This restaurant is one of those that will never leave you disappointed. When you want a reminder of moms cooking when you can't get back home this is it. Great meal every time. From chicken to yams you can't go wrong.
An excellent country style buffet, their chicken is awesome. This place is always packed, for good reason. The wait is well worth it.
Awesome food and a good price..small and quaint. Better food then some of your high end smorgasbord.
Very good. Quick service as well.
Absolutely FABULOUS breakfast/brunch spot in downtown Mechanicsburg! Try the eggs Benedict, you won’t be sorry! Dropping 1 star only because of the long wait you typically have - although, it’s only because it’s not so big of a place, but everybody wants to be there!!
I visited Dienner's every year. The food taste the same. Delicious. Also, the price is affordable. The staff is very friendly. See for yourself. You will love it .
We enjoy the excellent food. Service is good
Amazing food! Nice selection. Taste like it came from your grandmother's kitchen!
