Had a great experience. First time visiting one. The food was great and the cashier, or maybe s manager even came by to ask how we liked our food. The place was very clean. We both had a bowl with grilled chicken and all the toppings... Fresh guacamole and really liked the chips. Will definitely return!

A good Mexican place is easily defined by the chips you receive with your meal. They are simple, cheap, and offered without question at reputable restaurants. California Tortilla, on the other hand, doesn't provide any with their burrtios. The $8 Carnitas Verde burrito I ordered came with barely any pork and was surprisingly small. It was mostly flavorless brown rice and a drop of sour cream. With so many authentic Mexican spots in this area I would not recommend this place at all.

This was my first visit to California Tortilla. It is a step up from your average fast food restaurant, but I would not call it a standard restaurant. Think of it as Taco Bell on steroids. The food and the atmosphere were pretty good. And it is a fun place to go.

Best chain Tex-Mex in my opinion. Great fish tacos, love the guac! My kiddo can't get enough of the chips and queso along with the kids burrito. Also good for clean eating, as in the ingredients are pretty good, as far as a chain goes.

*I'm going to preface this review with the fact that we came here around an hour before closing. This could affect the quality of the food we were served, and so you should keep that in mind as you are reading this review. Looking at other reviews, this place seems to be really good, so when we arrived may have been what caused things to lack. * Overall, the food was o-k. The California Screamin' Burrito I ordered had blackened chicken in it, which to me was simply slightly overcooked chicken. It felt like it was doused in barbeque sauce, although it was supposed to be queso. The Sunset Bowl we ordered specified avocado slices, but there was none. Surprisingly, the chips and guacamole were the only 5 star worthy item we received: it was really good. We decided to check the "Wall of Sauces" to spice up our food. We saw the "Endorphin Rush", the spiciest sauce available, and if you no longer wish to taste your food anymore (as your tongue will be too numb to taste anything), knock yourself out. We didn't try any other sauces, so I cannot tell you how the others were compared to this. The seating arrangement was fine, but it wasn't very clean. The bathroom was better, though. Overall, this place is okay, and it's possible that certain factors contributed to our subpar experience. The price is around the same as Chipotle, and California Tortilla manages to give more flexibility and more options to the table, as well as better chips and guac. However, I don't think the quality stacks up to the competitors from my experience. Maybe giving them another shot during the day could change my opinion, but for now, I'd still go to Chipotle.

Delicious, fresh, and one of our favorites. The hot sauce wall is fun, but was looking a little sparse this last visit - none of our faves were in stock. I had the Caribbean mango salad, minus lettuce, plus rice haha.. it was pretty good. I usually get the carnitas burrito, and would probably go back to that next time. Yum!

Really tasty Mexican-American food. I personally prefer the Bangkok shrimp burrito, as I like to eat seafood and it has shrimp in it. They have a wide variety of food to choose from. The order line is extremely fast as well.

This is by far the best California Tortilla. The food is amazing and the service is beyond fast even during busy hours. Expect to spend about $20 if you come here with one other person. I heavily suggest grabbing a burrito elito card. Every $75 you spend you get $5 off plus a free burrito on when your birthday rolls around.

I love Cal Tort! I personally have never had a problem with this location, and I find it perfect, but to be fair they do mess up my girlfriend's order about 60% of the time (she orders something custom while I pick a normal menu item). So if you customize they might mess it up, but I've personally never had a problem!

I Love California Tortilla, let me count the ways. First thing is how happy and smiling every face is of the people employed there. These days it's hard to find anymore. Second is "The Wall of Hot Sauces" Every flavor of a hot sauce that is ever needed, you are sure to find your favorite compliment to your Burrito on this wall. Third, The Queso Dip...yummy golden goodness, enough said. And then we have the Burrito. I personally get the pork burrito all the time, or the pork quesadilla, it is just perfect. Other awesome things at California Tortilla are the Burrito Elito card that tracks your Burrito buying, gives you discounts, and other fun things. That new awesome soda dispenser that magically has every soda ever made in it. And all the way down to interesting signs of knowledge you find strewn around. So yes. Eat here. And eat here frequently....

It is my wife and I's taco Tuesday spot. We love the food here. It is always fresh. If you prefer Monday to go you get to spin a wheel for free prizes. Get an elito burrito card when you go. Me and my wife get 5 bucks off every 2 or 3 times we go by using this card. The drinks are free refills which is a nice perk. Food service is always fast. If you are near a California Tortilla give it a try. You won't regret it.

I go here all the time, and the food is amazing, but the customer service is lacking. I called because they forgot to deliver one of my items, and they said they would refund me but never did. I emailed customer service and never even received a response. It’s a shame that they can’t even respond to loyal customers when they have an issue.

Cal Tort is a chain, and we frequent this location often. The service is always friendly and the food comes out fast (and correct)! The atmosphere is your typical fast-casual, with booths and tables, but the staff keeps everything really clean and tidy.

My absolute favorite fast foot chain. The only thing that's missing is organic offerings. Meats are seasoned and marinated to be just right every time. The cashier is very careful to make sure you know what you're ordering and that it's just what you wanted. Super friendly too.

Went in last Friday. Ordered a steak burrito. For $22 I got maybe 5 small pieces of steak, chips, queso, and two sodas. Way over priced for a burrito with mostly rice. And rice, and well rice. They need to revise how they skip out on the main food.

One of my favorite places! Food is made fresh when ordered, customer service has never disappointed, place is clean, food is delicious. I'd eat here any day over Chipotle, far better quality and standards. They have a hot sauce lovers dream with their drool worthy wall of sauces (which can also be purchased) they have a rewards program, after so many visits you can receive some money off your order. Highly recommended if you can find one, I wish there was one closer to my home.

Great food at a good price. The burritos are huge and you can make a meal or two out of one. The bowls are packed with the same delicious and fresh ingredients. Sides of chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso add to the experience. Theres also a decent children's menu that'll satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.

I didn’t give this place any higher than 3 stars because I showed up today, online it says “open” the times on the door say they should be “open” but they were closed. Piss poor business, unable to contact them to find out why.... a good restaurant still has to have a good management team and this one sucks. End report.

This place is good but when I got the soda it was a little flat. Also their menu is a little confusing so make sure you have people there that know the restaurant if it's your first time. Overall the restaurant was pretty good but a lot of their chairs were also uneven 4 out of 5 stars is a generous rating but I think it's definitely not a terrible restaurant.

Love this place. It is conveniently located near my work and a huge shopping center where i frequently shop. I've been coming here for years. Never had an issue and always consistent until the other day. I did an online order and ordered the "add-on" of soda and chips (had a free coupon for it). Went to go pick up and asked for my Soda and Chips and she said I will need to pay for them. She stated there was a computer issue. So, since I left the code at my desk I decided to just take the burrito itself. Just a day ago, I attempted to order and try to use my Soda and Chips coupon again (because I wasn't able to use it last time because of their computer issue) and it said it has already been used. This is disappointing. I go back for the rewards only. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I just recieved my order through door dash. The driver was great. But you got my order wrong again, 3 seperate dishes did not come as requested and we are missing a bag of chips, and thats all my nephew wants was chips and queso. Im getting tired of screwed up orders from this place
