Service was excellent.. Food was fantastic. Can't wait to go back !
Lunch was absolutely fantastic! I got the chicken panini - packed with flavor and the fries were fantastic! My aunt got the tuna sandwich- huge portion and perfectly seared! My kiddos loved the chicken fingers - well seasoned and made in house!!
You pay for the atmosphere, not the food. It's very pricey with some options you could get just about anywhere. For example, my friend got three buttermilk pancakes for $12 that she said were pretty average. My entire party had about the same thoughts. It was just okay food, but nothing we'd go out of our way to do again.
Always one of my favorite places! Great food and even better service! We enjoy sitting at the bar to see Cara and Matt!
Delicious food! Great service. We were not rushed thriugh
Received a gift certificate from her over 13 years ago. During that time the Inn had closed for renovations. My husband and I finally went in the other night and THEY ACCEPTED the gift certificate, no problem and no questions. I know they should have, but they did. Now the meal. . . . delicious, beautiful appearance and just the right quantity. My husband had Chateau Briand that was perfection and I had a seafood pasta. My bowl was filled with crab, shrimp and these little pouches of filled pasta, again perfection. We also enjoyed a fresh mozzarella with pesto on a thin crust for an appetizer. Oh, and the desert. . . creme brulee with delicious texture for me and cheesecake of the day for my husband. A must do again soon, for our family.
Great food! Great atmosphere!
Excellent food and service
We enjoyed our evening there very much, definitely will return.
This was my first visit to the Blue Bell Inn. I love the atmosphere inside and especially outside. We had a fabulous brunch with bottomless mimosas and bloody mary's with the sounds of a waterfall in the background, Beautiful landscaping and lively music. If this was closer to my home, it would definitely be one of my go to spots for outdoor dining!
We always enjoy our time here when we come to blue Bell area this very historic restaurant offers great services and wonderful food
Posh place, that you'd never know from the outside
Food was delicious! Service was great!
Great jazz show even better happy hour service was nice and the scenery put u in a whole other realm
Cossy restaurant and great food. You can't go wrong having a romantic dinner at this location. Great staff and highly recommended.
Great food and drinks!
Excellent service. Excellent food. Beautifully renovated while retaining historical significance. I enjoyed the professionalism of the staff. Personally, I would've preferred the hostesses to be dressed more formal and less night club but it didn't take away from the dining experience. I can't speak for the valet nor the bar.
Insanely pricey on Easter (first and only time) but their buffet spread was super impressive and it included a lot of brunch options, a donut wall and some desserts. We didn't wait at all for a table which was lucky, sat outside and had great service too.
We went for Brunch and it was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and the ambience was perfect. Our server,Lindsey was attentive and courteous and allowed us time to talk and reminisce! I definitely plan to return!
What a wonderful place with some rich history! We reserved an upper room for a company banquet and thought the open bar and food were excellent. We enjoyed being in this old part of Pennsylvania history and would highly recommend this to families and businesses as a great place to meet and dine.
Always good shuck a buck oysters Mon and Fri yum try their seafood counter like seafood u Will love this one
Nice people.
I was taken here for lunch. The people who suggested we go there obviously hadn't been there before. We all had different sandwiches for lunch. Again.the portions were very small . Comically small. The prices were very high. Wait staff was ok...I just don't see how this place stays in business. Those of us who know don't go here....
great service , great food, gun friendly atmosphere
Great atmosphere, great oysters and raw bar, pretty solid menu overall with a few misses. (To be expected with a Suburban joint). The bar can be a little loud and the service can be spotty if you're not regular, but worth the trip. Cocktails are more than respectable and the tap list is strong. Weeknights are easier to navigate than weekends. Check it put. A little pricey, so know what you're getting into. Always enjoy though...
We had dinner at the "new" Blue Bell Inn this evening. I cannot wait to return. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly immediately. We gave our reservation information and were seated right away. The bar area is very noisy and that was our first impression. The new outdoor seating area is beautiful. We were escorted to a back room, and given a tour and description along the way. The room we were seated in was cozy and warm and quiet. Dinner was delicious and service was impressive. Scott, our waiter, was attentive without being overbearing, charming, and paid attention to detail. I would ask for him again. It was a wonderful night. Welcome back Blue Bell Inn. You did not disappoint.
I went here for a work Christmas function. One of the entrees was Filet mignon. The waiter asked every single person how they wanted their steak cooked. I requested medium well. When I received my filet, it was RARE. Not even close to medium well. Someone else at my table also complained that his steak was also very under cooked. Do no task people how they would like their meat cooked and then not deliver. So we both patiently waited for our meals to come back as everyone else from our company ate. Second time, mine was still very uncooked. The gentleman that also complained also said, this is not what I requested. He ate his because he was under a time constraint and very hungry. I did not eat my dish. Was I supposed to send it back a second time? I would not recommend the Blue Bell Inn to friends or family. Do not host 25+ people if your Chef cannot handle it. Very disappointing in what is supposed to be a high end restaurant.
Dad's business lunch. Said the service was perfect (they had a large group) and the meal was delicious. Naturally, the historic building was interesting. Pictured is a steak salad (medium rare).
Constantly amazed at how wonderful the staff treats you when you dine there. Food is incredible and they never miss a thing.
It was Easter and we had the Crab Imperial before heading downtown and back to the Safehouse..remember?..do you?
Easy to get to, the atmosphere was excellent, and the food was amazing!
Always a great atmosphere, service, and food.
Food was fabulous and service was great. Definitely going to put this on the list for the next time I am in town!
Always great service, amazing atmosphere and the food is tremendous! Typically have a good selection of oysters!
Great place.
I have held several corporate events at the Blue Bell Inn over the last three years and also stop by for lunch from time to time. In fact, we just had our holiday luncheon there and I also booked our company anniversary party in March at another venue of theirs called the Country House at Bluestone located behind the Inn. I have always been pleased with the service and the food. The staff is very professional and personable. Will definitely book more events here.
Phenomenal. Our server Kyle was awesome. Knowledgeable and very helpful, awesome recommendations and great service. My ginger pear Spritz was pretty good, I think it could use some tweaking. Wine selection was great though Id prefer a slightly larger glass selection especially of Italian wines. Duck and filet were both incredible but I felt as though the cheese board was a bit small. Either way me and my wife left full and satisfied. Dessert was great with a classic cheesecake.
Food, service, atmosphere excellent. For a top drawer inn, worth every penny!
Awesome food and service
Planning our son's rehearsal dinner here. The ambience is a mix of old & new. It's absolutely beautiful! Our lunch we had was delicious & service was perfect! Looking forward to probably dining here again, before the rehearsal dinner.
Great little music trio on first Fridays. Amazing guitarist. I did not try the food. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was better than I expected. A 40s to 50s crowd at the bar. People with a little extra discretionary spending seem to like it here. This place from the outside was not at all what I was expecting. Go check it out especially on a First Friday.
I have reviewed the blue Bell Inn before, but I have to come back and say this place never disappoints! Great service, great drinks, and amazing food! On my last visit I ordered the black bean burger without a bun, it was by far the best black bean burger I have ever had and the presentation was so beautiful!
Amazing!! We went for Ambler Restaurant week and the food was 5 stars! Service was also outstanding. Our drinks never went empty, service was very fast and we will definitely be back. Special thanks to our awesome server Nancy!
Great brunch options with bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys
Little bit on the pricier side but overall a great experience. Great brunch offerings, cocktails are mixed well and the service is super snazzy.
Great happy hour special
Beautiful place, food so-so, service was amateurish for price point.
ALWAYS great food&great service, GOT TO GET THE SEAFOOD TOWER!
Great little music trio on first Fridays. Amazing guitarist. I did not try the food. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was better than I expected. A 40s to 50s crowd at the bar. Gotta go on a Friday for the prime rib special. It is extremely good! They have a massive indoor seating area divided into 3 main sections:near the bar, in a new age large dining room, and the original old section, which feels more quaint. Their is also a great outdoors seating area, where music is usually playing. The atmosphere is 40-55 socialites looking to have fun
Best softshell platter ever. Ambience great. Service was great.
Amazing food, cocktails, and atmosphere! Love it when they have live music, especially jazz at christmas time :)
Fabulous dinner. Terrific menu.
We had a small party in the boardroom. The staff was great. The food was wonderful and the service was super.
Fun place with good food. The bartenders were fairly attentive even with it being a Saturday night & a large crowd.
High end atmosphere - Make sure to dress like you have a bit of money for this place, it pretty cool and a nice menu. It only loses 1 star with me because I was expecting it to be less pretentious
Fancy schmancy. Historic location. Recently renovated. Upscale crowd. First rate appointments, menu, and dishes. Service was a little slow but accurate on a busy night. Good drinks, fine dining. Very noisy environment, bring the kids. Free valet parking (you'll need it).
Excellent food, service and comfortable.
Had a private party here and loved it. Service and ambience was great, food was yummy. Recommend it!.
Service and food was fantastic
Blue Bell Inn is always consistently good and a wonderful place to spend a Sunday afternoon for brunch or a week night for a quick supper as well as a fine dining place on a Saturday evening whether inside or outside on the patio. A recent visit turned up a shrimp cocktail that had four very cold colossal sized shrimp that had never been cleaned or deveined! I was stunned that the dish was presented this way. However, the waiter, when told of this oversight immediately returned with another order of shrimp that were cleaned properly. I will say that this waiter handled the situation with grace and I was satisfied with the outcome. One note of criticism on this waiter, he needs to smile a little to the customer and act a little more authentic like he wants to be there. He seemed distracted, distant and contrived as if he was playing a part as a waiter in a play. He never refilled our iced teas until we had asked, our glasses having been emptied for quite a while. I also noticed the table next to us also asking for refills. This should not be in a place where they are serving shrimp for $18. Not that I feel the price is too high for the size of shrimp and quality I received, in fact , just the opposite. I think it is well worth the price! But in an establishment like this, you should never have to “ask” for a refill. I still give Blue Bell Inn 5 stars because they did rectify the error and made me whole and they cannot control the demeanor of every employee every single day. I still highly recommend this restaurant!
3 stars because the Lobster risotto was delicious as well as the short rib and we had great service from Les. However some of the items on the menu are not at all worth the price for what they give you. My sister order the lobster roll and it was literally smaller than a hotdog roll and they charge you $25 for that. I got the blue burger, wasn’t bad but there was definitely something missing from it. Just mediocre at best. I would definitely come back here for happy hour, their appetizers were a lot better than the entrees were. The ice cream they gave for a birthday at our table was a very nice gesture, though the ice cream had absolutely no flavor at all. Just tasted like frozen coffee creamer. There are definitely some good food choices here, however most of the stuff our table got was not worth the what they were charging.
Great food, smooth unrushed service, waitress willing to go above and beyond dealing with a toddlers needs
Great food & service!!!! We there for Sunday brunch!!!!
Attended a wedding at Blue Bell Inn. Food and atmosphere where amazing!
Great service.
Very elegant! Great food!
We had a great dinner at the Blue Bell Inn. The renovations really make the Inn more lively than it had been the last time we dined here (more than 10 years ago). The food was, excellent!
There isn't anything about The Blue Bell Inn that isn't spectacular. With an expert restoration of the building, plus modernization, the service and food offered are unparalleled. You get what you pay for, and this is proof positive. They never disappoint!
Great food! Very nice staff!
Very nice historic building that is 3 times as large on the inside as it looks on the outside. Plenty of free parking. Very upscale. The food was excellent as was the service. Good menu selections. Nice beer and wine selection as well. $$$$
Been coming here for about ten years. Switched allegiance after the change in ownership. Usually too crowded but have been coming on Sunday evenings. Place is deserted then. However, that doesn't bode well. It's competitor, just across the street Panache, is always packed. I enjoy the bar at BBI and outside seating, weather permitting, is great. Wait staff is generally friendly. Have not been overly impressed with the food. Great place for just chillin and libation if it's not crowded. But don't get me wrong. The venue is impressive. One to be experienced.
Great overall experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was the best.
The Blue Bell Inn is consistently excellent. We have been for both lunch and dinner and we have never had a bad meal. The Philadelphia Classic (oysters and chicken salad) for lunch was perfectly portioned. Their bouillabaisse is probably the best we have ever had. The restaurant offers different types of ambiance as well. The bar is bright, airy, and vibrant while they have a main dining room and a series of smaller dining rooms so they can accommodate a quieter, more private dining experience if that is your preference.
Band was awesome..manatees..fun night
Was a very nice resturant... We sat at a table for 4 by a big open window.. Food and service was absolutely awesome...
Lovely environment, two bars, live music and great food!
Good food. Good service Good atmosphere.
Complete waist of time. Sat in an area looking at the garage doors which would open to expose the outside. But they're still garbage doors. Positions were real small there was nothing to take home. The food was nothing to write home about. Cost a fortune. Dinner for two people... with tip... 207.00$ Never again!
Great variety of good food. Had a salmon BLT wrap- very tasty. Server was conscientious that we were on lunch from work. Can get in & out in under an hour.
Great outpoor patio. Nice place. Not too expensive either. Salads look huge and great in big wooden bowls. No brunch on Saturdays
Very good food and service, but $$$$.
Very good food and service
Good place
This place is great, really nice atmosphere. Buck a shuck oysters for 5-7 happy hour where awesome as well as everything else I ordered was delicious. Definitely a must go
Branzino was excellent. As good as it gets. Lovely avocado sauce with delicious couscous and asparagus.
Good food and nice atmosphere but a little overpriced.
Great place for casual meal, date night or special occasions.
Food is always fresh and have not been disappointed with any of our selections each time we've gone here
Came here on many good recommendations and have always passed by. Decided to make a special occasion my first time here. Left with mixed feelings about the experience. To start they only had parking left for the valet when I arrived. Although valet is nice I personally don’t enjoying giving strangers my car keys, but not much of a choice. Next came the wait, I had a reservation and arrived 10 minutes early. They instructed me and girlfriend to the bar and said they would get us when our table was ready. I proceeded to wait the next 30 minutes at the bar watching guest walk in one by one and get seated instantly. Not until I went up and asked if my table was ready did I get seated 25 minutes after my reservation. The food is really the only main reason I stick with a 3 star rating as it was very tasty. Unfortunately due to slow service and $120 price for 2 people I can’t see myself returning.
We had an event in the Star Room. It was an excellent experience! Everyone there from management to servers were professional, polite and very attentive to our wants and needs. The food was awesome!
Yesterday was my first time in visiting Blue Bell Inn Restaurant. I made a reservation and invited my friends for a special occasion but unfortunately, Blue Bell Inn disappointed in many ways.... I was ushered a table right next its entry area, so I had to ask a better location. The 2nd option wasn't good either but I took it to avoid ruining my evening. During the dinner, there was no professional services which made me surprise and uncomfortable during my entire evening there;1) all of foods came without the proper order nor right temperature; 2) Wagu steak was cooked more than I asked (medium well done but overcooked); 3) food tastes were just OK which another disappointment; 4) replacing forks and knives after courses changed were forgotten, so we had to ask them to eat our food; 5) bread basket was not served until I asked after waiting for a while even we didn't get bread which we asked for some refill 6) no refill service from champagne bottle...no one checked our champagne glasses for the refill, so we did for ourselves which was disappointed. Overall......huge disappointment because all of the staffs; who provided services and meals to me and my friends, didn't do their basic jobs properly.
Noon on a rainy Saturday... Fantastic food, MUSIC, and service. Taylor was exceptional. Party of five loved their meals.
Elegant dining, excellent staff and great food.
Fantastic food and excellent service
Food is always great. Not the fastest location but the grown up grilled cheese is always a hit.
Excellant food and service. Live music on weekends.
First I am going to say the food was very good. The service was not so good. The place is loud. Again the service was not good. The food was good but things had to go back due to it not being hot. The appetizers were stellar. The Cheese Board is beautiful. Some of the old rooms are still there. Its kind of foolish they make you walk through a very loud bar to get to your table. Again, We had to waitresses which we heard state " they did not want to wait on us" and I had to eventually ask a manager for assistance.
Excellent food and service! Blue Bell Inn never disappoints.
Great atmosphere. We sat at the back bar, at one of the round tables. The bartender, Ashley took really good care of us. The petite seafood platter was beautiful! And the bushes were equally delicious. They had the doors up so we had a great view of the band playing on the patio.
The cheese steak dumplings are so good! Great oysters, great atmosphere, and great live music. I will definitely be back!
Nice audience great staff courteous pleasant able to explain the menu and specials without instant no hesitation in their descriptions they were on point with all the information that we requested
Wednesday is 1/2 price off wine. Fun atmosphere.
Ordered fish, overcooked 1st time, undercooked 2nd time. Left without eating.
Had brunch here on a Sunday. Service was good, very attentive but not too much. Food was fine (had eggs Benedict) but nothing special and a little pricey for what was received.
Amazing food and drinks, great bands, nice atmosphere. Nice place to celebrate!
Awesome food. Beautiful location and facility.. Awesome catering for you special needs
Ate at the bar before a wine event. Very nice place a little higher than average prices but worth it. The Short Rib Tater Tots are relish.
Been there 2x now, it's a nice place for entertaining out of area guest s.
Good food. Great happy hour
Stopped in for a business lunch and was completely satisfied. The food was outstanding, the service was equally good.
Fabulous restaurant! Great seafood and lovely patio. Service was outstanding. Need reservations.
Delicious.food. excellent dining atmosphere.
Get the Grown Up Grilled Cheese for lunch and you'll feel happy like a grown up! Beautiful place
Great dinner spot. Food is excellent. One of my favorites
Food was okay. Priced far too high. Must ask for a back room, or you will lose your hearing
Has become my favorite spot. It truly covers all bases... It can be a casual spot with the outside terrace and the adjacent bar or the raw bar or the main bar... It can be a bit more formal as well. There's plenty of room and the menu is good. We've done every type of dining here and it's always good. For those who haven't been in a while it's re-done (apparently) and it's top notch.
Beautiful bridal party for my sister!!
Service was great, went with a few friends for a birthday. All our entrees were excellent. Well definitely be back.
Attentive service, great food, and live music on the patio!
Gem in Blue Bell
The best dining experience inside and out. Their beautiful renovation has completely changed dining in the area. The outside patio, especially on a gorgeous night feels like being in California. Sara K is an amazing server. On top of everything! Highly recommend. M.
The waiters were very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. The salmon was very tender. It was great!!
Great place for a Birthday!
Great food....and good service
Service was lovely. Dylan was quite friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and mouth watering. Coffee was passable. And I had the most unique Bloody Mary ever.
Great place! We valeted, not by choice, however it worked in our favor since it was down pouring when we left. We have the petite seafood tower, which was perfect! There was plenty of options on the tower and I have never had shrimp that size. Great atmosphere as well!
Beautiful courtyard setting w/waterfall. Multiple dining spaces: cozy, party, family, etc.
Visited Blue Bell Inn for first time in over 20 years with "For Pete's Sake" and it was as good as I remembered.
Just did drinks. Wed night and s half price wine and they had an excellent Jazz band. Bar area was packed though so get there early...
We had an excellent time with Family and friends. Food was great (rib eye, shrimp). Valet parking Team was great (place gets crowded).
Always a great time. Great ambiance and food is always masterfully prepared.
Food was decent and service was decent as well. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Great happy hour
The menu was out of this world. A little prejudging on my part. But, well home run. The courses were well exacuted. The drinks superb. The service, top notch. Waitress, cute, personable, and knew the product. Stood behind it. Over all 5/5 awesome people great food. Definitely a return visit next time I'm in the area.
Best steak happy hour! Crowded but fun
Great location with nice layout. Can get loud when it is crowded. There was a great band playing. Food was good and loved the breadbasket. the server for our table was good.
Good food and good service
This is usually one of my favorite restaurants, but tonight it really disappointed. Food very good; service very, very slow. Five of six entrees arrived together. The sixth took an extra ten minutes. When desserts were ordered, they took so long that our party was ready to leave before being served. If this were my first visit to Blue Bell Inn, I would probably not return. Past favorable experiences, however, will have me back again.
Outstanding. Had filet. So good along with risotto our waiter was excellent
We went as a large party and had to have the fixed menu. It was good but I would have preferred the options on the full menu. Servings were very small. The salmon was about half of what other restaurants would serve. Also the desert was very small. The service was amazing. If we weren't forced into the fixed menu, it probably would have been much better.
Great food, nice ambiance. Service awesome, very crowded when we were there and service was still impeccable! A little pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for.
Real good at a fair price.
Had a great time got to see a band there they were off the hook atmosphere was jumping and lively it was awesome time.
Great atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. Nice place to hang out and listen to some great local bands. Really liked the enclosed patio area with the firepit and seating. Would defined reccomend.
Great restaurant and bar with a beautiful outdoor patio for dining. Raw bar, great food, multiple dining options.
The food was great and it was a really nice facility. We just had my daughter's first birthday in one of their rooms and everything was really well handled. A bit slow to bring out the cupcakes, but I'd go back in an instant!
Was lovely experience with great food
Overpriced for what you get. There are significantly better restraunts within a mile of the Bluebell Inn. I won't be back.
Great food, courteous service, clean restroom, friendly staff seem committed to serving customer needs. Guinness on TAP! What more could one want. Brittany is fabulous!
Great Food and Service
I’ve been to Blue bell inn a couple times, and I enjoy their food. However, when I wanted to schedule my brithday party with 10 of my friends at Blue bell inn, in the Blue room, their customer service was awful. I called them multiple times, they answered and all but the person I was supposed to talk to was the manager, Alisha, and she didn’t get back to me. I did all the correct things to try and book my brithday. Call up the Blue bell inn, and leave my phone number on Alisha’s voicemail. I’ve repeated this process throughout a month. No one got back to me. I stopped trying and looked at other places. Great food and all, but horrible customer service.
Great service and food
Outstanding service and delicious food
Our usual fav...classy
Very friendly service. Good bands. I very nice place to enjoy an evening out. Ed
I love going to the Blue Bell Inn,the food is a large variety of delicious food. They have a bar do you sit and drink and they notify you when your table is ready. The people who own the Inn are the nicest people in the world. The Waiters help you decide on what type of food you like as well as the Waitress. Their family was in a bad accident, and when I arrived there they did remember i was on the paramedics team they saved their grandson's life and through their kindness I didn't have to pay for anything. I recommend this place to take your family very highly
The renovations here must have cost a fortune. Blue Bell Inn went from tired to modern and the inside looks great now. There are several different rooms so you could get a quiet dinner, or a loud one. Those renovations have to get paid off somehow, though - the food (and drinks) can be expensive. The staff has always been accommodating, this is a great place for a special occasion. If you don't want to get forced to valet park, come early!
Not exactly fine dining. Extremely small portions and way overpriced. Food quality fair at best.
Great place! We valeted, not by choice, however it worked in our favor since it was down pouring when we left. We have the petite seafood tower, which was perfect! There was plenty of options on the tower and I have never had shrimp that size. Great atmosphere as well!
Nice atmosphere. Excellent service (Kevin F) who read the situation consistently well during the entire evening. Food was good. Steak/meat quality okay with regards to the strip, delicious prime rib though. Definitely not a great wine list, but some very nice mid and high end options. Update May 23, 2019: I'm increasing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Kevin continues to offer the highest level of service and care with his unique and personal style. The menu continues to be very good, the prime rib is a truly great meat option. Prices continue to be extremely fair and they continue to have Chateau Musar 2004 on the wine list for what must be the lowest price in the country.
The goat cheese dish wasn't as strong of a flavor as one would expect from goat cheese. The chateaubriand was quite good, nice and tender, fantastic sauce on it as well
Apps are the way to go at this place, loved the toasted marshmallow ice cream
