I have enjoyed eating sushi for more than 40 years. Having a wife that was born and raised in Tokyo got me hooked (no pun intended) a long time ago The food here is quality fresh fish with a chef that makes his offerings a work of art. Best thing it is BYOB. With a liquor store a short walk from the restaurant Dine on fresh, professionally prepared meals that will keep you coming back for a long time. Friendly staff, great regular clientele, and an owner that cares. Check it out, you’ll be glad you did!

It is a hit or miss kind of place. The fried appetizers most of the time still frozen in the middle when they serve it. Their sushi is decent. They are better at the American Chinese dishes ( general tso chicken) rather than the Japanese ones

Ok since this popped up again on my "rate this" page I will. DONE WITH THIS PLACE AFTER YEARS OF FAITHFUL PATRONAGE. My GF found a piece of IHNFI what in our salad and when we called to be like hey we just paid $50 for this...the guy was like hey will credit you $4....I was like, I'm good homey, I'll go to A1 on Lehigh until they insult my patronage.

I do not recommend the steak bento, as it was very fatty and undercooked. The chicken bento was very tough. The service was not great, either. Oh, and my party's food was delivered at different times. I won't go back.

Have been here twice now and both things were very good. Once for lunch once for dinner. The last being dinner on new years eve. My girlfriend called ahead to see if we needed reservations and they said no. We got there about 15 minutes later and were immediately seated. I ordered some sushi I never heard of and my girlfriend had chicken with rice. Both delicious. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service although maybe felt a little bit rushed. It's BYOB by the way. Weiss right next to it sells beer and wine if you're looking for a place to get drinks beforehand.

We had several rolls and the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken came out hot and my kids annihilated it. The Fuji Yama was my favorite. Our new go-to sushi place.

To start off the food was good; however, when pairing great food with pretensions service, it ruins the experience. This was our first time at the restaurant and was trying to figure out what we wanted (on a 6-7 page menu) and we were looking through several waiters, several times kept asking if we were ready, while this was nice, it became too much when they added "are you ready yet?" (in a surly tone). When we were ready to order - "you are FINALLY ready". That really gave us a bad impression, wasn't too impressed with the service at this point. To end the experience; I think the owner, (incredibly arrogant) questioned me on my tip "is that all you leaving?", I expressed Yes. No question of what may have been wrong or anything of the sort, just "is that all you are leaving". I will NOT be returning to this establishment.

Thought we would try a different place for our Friday sushi. Ordered philly rolls, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, green dragon and yellowtail scallion. Unfortunately, everything was tasteless. We will be going back to OSAKA in Macungie next week!!!

The food was really delicious. If you like spicy get the Cajun roll. Their miso soup was delicious as well. I will come here again. I highly recommend the place. The Chinese menu was also good. I got the sweet and sour chicken and it was delicious.

Good food but bad service... I started ordering and the lady really blatantly rushed me and my wife. It may have been the end of her shift but be nice... wow. This wasn't the first time I had bad service here but I thought give them another chance. Just walked out with my wife and kid the lady was extremely rude. Sucks cause I was hungry lol.

This place was one of our favorite places to dine in or take out for the past several years. This evening we ordered take out was told to wait 20 mins. I waited over 45 mins, then was rushed out the door by Andy. Arrived home and found a piece of metal in our salad! Called to discuss with Andy and he hung up on me. Sadly, we will never dine in or receive take out again. Please check your food prio to eating.

FINALLY MADE IT My wife has had lunch here several times and convinced me to go. Though I don't always listen to her .. I should .. This JAPANESE FOOD PLACE called BAMBOO surprised me .. It was extremely pleasant and great BINTO BOX steak like no other plenty of fresh SAUCE .. nicely prepared RICE .. SOFT broccoli .. LARGE salad .. very good and lots of GINGER sauce .. even with a 3PIECE California roll .. other places just don't have a BINTO BOX at 14 $ for lunch .. the place was packed for a MONDAY LUNCH SPECIAL given every day of the week with an amazing selection of meals .. OK MY WIFE IS RIGHT AGAIN .. I give you 4 stars only cause it was LUNCH .. Really good sushi, but I docked one star because they put asparagus aka a cheap filler in what seems like EVERY specialty roll (actually 16/29 speciality rolls). I docked another star bc no Philly roll on the lunch combo.

My experience here has improved significantly since my last visit. We were seated quickly and rarely had to wait too long for service. I ordered their chicken teriyaki lunch box (bento box) and it was very delicious. I think their bento boxes are a good place to start to get a taste of what Japanese cuisine has to offer. Would definitely come back again

I bought a lunch special the other day. Chicken & broccoli. I asked for soy sauce $ hot mustard. The manager at the register gave me one tube of each. Made me feel as if I was imposing upon her. Penny wise and pound foolish on her part. Won't go back.

I dont leave reviews but people need to know what they are getting before they drop 25-30$ on a meal. I ordered udon soup and eel/ squid sashimi. Not only was the eel and squid disgusting and bland but so was the udon soup. The broth as simply watery broth. I ended up vomiting later. If you like bland sickening expensive food...go ahead. Do yourself a huge favor and try mister lees. I told myself i should have gotten mcdonalds.

The food is pretty good but the service is questionable. One time I had lunch there with my mother and my girlfriend and the wonton soup they served us had flies in it; when we sent it back saying we won’t eat it, the manager tried reassuring us that the flies weren’t in the pot but they flew into our bowls. The flies looked pretty cooked to me, but even the manager was correct, why would they serve it to us? Another time I tried placing a takeout order over the phone and when the girl repeated my order back to me, she said the opposite of everything I ordered so I told her to forget it. Good food when there aren’t flies in the soup but I suggest to exercise caution.

This place has really great food, always delicious every time. But 2day, I was appalled at the rudeness of the cashier when I came into to order my lunch. I gave her my credit card, which has my picture on it, and she kept saying that I didn't look like that. ??? I was like what! ? She said oh that picture young, in other words I'm old?? It continued after I told her that she was rude and that is the wrong thing to say to a customer! She continued 2 be rude and laughed, ha ha that picture very young, 22!? I said 22, what are you talking about? It's amazing how ppl who can't speak English well can certainly be able to throw insults around.

I went there yesterday for lunch with 10 people almost all of whom had never been there and we were served superb Asian food. I recommend everything that we shared. The fancy dragon, lobster. and spicy tuna roll, and shrimp, chicken and beef stir fry's with vegetables were about the best tasting Asian food I've ever had. It's BYOB and that helps out the cost of eating out. It's got a minimalist décor but it's not going to embarrass you if your date wears heels and a skirt. I don't understand the few lousy reviews below but it seems that you either love the place or hate it depending on how well your server speaks English

We went there first time today. We were excited and hoping to have a good experience but the guy in charge behaved very rudely and was showing racial discrimination towards us. We don't know if it was the owner or the manager. We ordered 5 to 6 entrees but we left the restaurant before eating because of his pathetic manners. He had no manners to deal with the customers. This was our very first experience and most probably the last one too. All we asked was if we could sit at the booth instead of the table instead of telling us nicely he said nooo very rudely and starting fighting with us.

ZERO STAR!!! Rude! Rude! Rude! owner or the person at the front! He put my soup in paper bag without any plastic, when I left the place, the bag was ripped right away and the soup splashed on me and the ground, no need to say it's frustrating. the rolls was made sloppy and sushi rice isn't fresh. for 6 rolls I got two packs of soy sauce and one stick. He didnt even ask how many people is this for. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Located in a strip mall. They did a fair job decorating the inside and covering the windows so you don't have to look at the parking lot when you eat. Tried the Sushi on my visit yesterday. Standard fare for the area. I ordered the 3 roll lunch sushi platter with the Garden Salad. Ginger dressing was a bit heavy and tangy, nothing special but not bad. Nicely and neatly prepared. Beautiful presentation. My appetite was large and the lunch special wasn't enough, so I ordered their special Eel Box. The Eel Box deserves the name "Special Roll." It's a layered roll with rice, spicy tuna, mango, avocado, barbecue eel and crunchy. As the name implies, there's no wrap, it's pressed tightly into a square shape. I would go back JUST for this roll. TL;DR: Pricey, excellent wait staff, good food; I'd definitely return for more.

My only criticism is the use of heavy iron teapots and the thimble-size cups. I realize this is an attempt to be authentic, but I have arthritis and the pots are very heavy and require frequent refilling. The food is very good with very large selection.

I ordered pickup. It was ready when they said it would be. But it was very expensive. My order of General Tso (only one size offered) was $13! It was a pint of white rice and a good amount of food. But I've paid way less for the same amount and quality elsewhere. The small wonton soup order had only 4 wontons in it.

Woman at the counter was very surly and impatient. Didn't know her own menu. No smile. Barely a thank you or a greeting. We tried to be pleasant with her to no avail. Not a good first impression. We got takeout Chinese. A volcano salad and sweet and sour chicken. I threw half of the volcano salad away. The only volcano it did was in my stomach. Egg drop soup ok, hard to mess that up. My wife ate half of the sweet and sour chicken, threw the rest away. She also had won-ton soup. Threw half of that away. No taste to it. Maybe they are OK for sushi but what we got was really poorly prepared and little taste. We won't go back there. Our search for an excellent Asian restaurant continues. This wasn't it.

Over priced. I asked 3 different servers about several items in the menu and neither one of them could explain to what was in it. I order udon noodle soup and the bowl had a line of fat in it. Noodles were way too gummy. My lady ordered bourbon chicken and it came with broccoli which was cold. Then when is time to pay, they guy asked us how was everything and we explain how we felt and he said ok get out! As a fellow chef tht worked right across the parking at tgi friday ill say that the could do better

I bought take-out here last night (3/25/14); my first visit to this restaurant. This is probably the best Chinese food I have ever had! I got sesame chicken, vegetable fried rice, egg drop soup, and eggplant with beef. The chicken and beef were both very tender and NOT grissly or chewy, as I've had at other restaurants. Everything I got was delicious. I will definitely return here...OFTEN...and highly recommend it! Also, in response to a previous review, my receipt had the name, address, and phone number of the restaurant, and DOES show the amount of sales tax, so I'm not sure what they were referring to.
