From the food to the impeccable customer service - my family and I highly recommend this restaurant!! The manager Tammy and waitress Melissa were awesome! $25 was taken off our bill for the wait time which we thought was perfectly acceptable since it was a busy Friday night. We didn’t even complain but this was just something that was done because the time must have exceeded their standards. The food was awesome as well - very fresh! Best restaurant we had dinner at in a very long time. Thank you!!!

The waiter we had was not very good. He did not pay attention to what he was doing. We also had another waiter to fill in for ours and he was not good either. He talked so fast you had no idea what he was saying. When you go to a restaurant you should have one person taking care of you. At Austins there are always different people coming to your table not very professional. We then had a third person come to the table. The food was ok I think Austins needs some work.

Normally good food and good service. This trip I got a chopped salad of some kind. It had almost no lettuce or greens of any kind. Just a bunch of ground up other things, I'm not sure exactly what. Baked potato soup is always good. Atmosphere is nice, but the place is a bit dark.

Casual American dining or eat at the bar. The menu has lots of choices for meat, seafood, or vegetarian plates. The draft beer selections include seasonal favorites and the mixed drinks are consistently excellent.

Service was good, it's been better but also worse waitress was good, just mixed up with our seating, requested not to sit at bar and that's where they wanted to put us for our reservation..There was a issue with my food, but it was fixed to a point.. kinda bad finding things that dont belong in your food in your food. I expect alot more from this place, they kind of made it like it was no big deal but to me it was and honestly I just didnt want to make a scene.. I know things happen.. I'll be back in due time..

Wish I could give 4.5 stars, but anyway. It's a Saturday night and we are told 60mins for a table for 2. It was crowded and we expected a wait, totally fine. We had a few beers at the bar which was nice, bar tenders and the other people at the bar were all nice and friendly. We we're sat right around the 60 mins we were told, service was prompt. The food was very very good. We both wanted a juicy flavorful steak with some fresh veggies and It went beyond our expectations. Thank you Austin's and staff for a great dinner out.

Excellent food, I usually get a steak and Austin's never disappoints! Juicy and succulent cuts cooked to perfection...any way you like. Usually theres a wait at dinner time but even a 45 min to an hour wait is worth it. I usually eat here with my family once a month. Service with a smile and the manager is always available if needed, and usually stop by to say hi and make sure everything is fine.

We went for team dinner and it was nice experience. We've reserved the table at 6PM and had the dinner till 8PM. The staff were so patient and polite. The service was fantastic. The noted what ever we order and deliver to the same person. Food tasted good and the complimentary bread was awesome and must try. All the appetizers were good. They combined the tables as we were almost 20 people, so the chairs were arrangement was little congested. The other tables were with sofa type. Cocktails with alcohol and without alcohol were available and they were good. Non alcoholic cocktails will come always with transparent straw. That is the indicator. All the pasta varieties were so good. The staff were cleaning the plates then and there to make room on tables for other items. Any remaining food can take to home and they provide the bags as well. We should say To Go and not the parcel. For Covers we should ask like Bags. People in US don't use Parcel and Cover words in US.

Been going to this restaurant for years since in opened. Wait times are normal. Staff is always nice, helpful and respectful. Food is always great. As simple as it sounds, their chicken fingers and fries are the best I've ever had. For birthday's they stick a flare in a cake, very flashy and cool. Price isn't bad either.

We have always liked Austins... but.lately it seems they have fundamental issues with execution. Last 2 visits I have tried the cajun ribeye at medium and it came out cold. Literally cold. After the send.back they came.back well done. I will be avoiding steak there for a while. Everything else seemed to be ok. Pricing of side salad with a entre is ridiculous as well.

Nothing to hate..love this place! My wife has a gluten allergy and this place has so many great choices! The FRIES are some of the BEST shoestring fries you can find. The appetizer wings that are sweet and tangy are some of the absolute best anywhere! Only thing I had on the menu I did not like was there spicy meatball grilled cheese. Sundays kids eat free! Go go go to this place.

Decided to try someplace new and decided on Austins. Never been here before. Started off with the lobster bisque and I must say that was the best I've ever had! Delicious! My disappointment was with the waitress (40ish, long brown hair). Had to call her over when we needed another drink, she never asked how our food was or if we needed anything during our dinner, and we waited quite sometime for our check and then again for her to retrieve the payment. As for the steaks, I can say we've had better. My filet mignon was a bit chewy and my husband said his wasn't seasoned well for ordering the cajun seasoned steak. I can't say I'll never go back, but I'll wait a while. Just a bit disappointed.

Great food at reasonable prices. Every time I have been here I have had excellent service. The wait staff is attentive, but not intrusive. The food is very good for the price. Austin's is primarily a steakhouse, but the fish is also quite good. If the lobster bisque is on the menu, it's worth the splurge. Not only is it delicious, but it has a lot of lobster meat. The last time I was here, I had the filet oscar, which was cooked exactly as I like, and had a generous portion of crab meat. My husband had the salmon and said that it was quite good. Austin's has a good sele tion of side dished as well, to suit most any taste. There is also a seasonal menu with some appealing selections. There's something for everyone, and even the kids will be happy. There is also a great bar here, and the bartenders are up to date on the latest cocktails. Austin's is often busy, and you may need to wait for a table. I was there on a Friday, and the wait was less than 20 minutes. It can be a bit noisy, especially on the weekend, but I have necer found it to be so noisy that it affected my dining experience. Austin's is a great choice for a nice dinner out.

Rarely if ever do we have a bad experience at Austin’s but last evening the service was subpar. Our server was pleasant but unattentive. Drinks were ordered twice and they just didn’t come. Finally flagged down another floating individual and then it seemed like it took forever. Never checked back to see how our meals were, never brought water to the table. Fortunately the food was excellent but I just felt like we were a number not a customer. Not a home warm feeling at all. Sure good food is important but so is the experience.

We go here every year for my birthday, and last year we had tried the burgers, and absolutely loved them. So, naturally we went straight for the burgers this time. They tasted great as usual. However, two people in our party had shared a burger (medium-well) and the very same night the both of them had stomache pains and such symptoms of food poisoning. Sure, it could be a coincidence, but this went all night and into today. It is highly unlikely they got the stomach bug the same night in just an hour or so after eating. So, unfortunately we are concluding that the burger they shared gave them food poisoning and unfortunately will not be coming back. This is a shame as the food is so good and the service is always great. :(

Wonderful food in generous servings. Delicious lobster bisque. Mixed seafood (lobster, scallops, shrimp) on herb creamed pasta was fabulous. Service is attentive without being bothersome. Staff is well trained and everything runs very smoothly. Call for a reservation on busy evenings or you will have a long wait.

I went to Austin's Restaurant on June 28,2019 with some of my sister's and I ordered a steak cheese with onions egg roll. WOW! It was delicious and the portion was so big that they slice it in 6 large pieces. But that is not all, it comes with horseradish creamy sauce, it really gives the roll a real kick. And to really enjoy it so much more I ordered a nice cold glass of BLUE Moon beer with a slice of orange on the side. JUST LOVELY! IT was so good, I went back today with my daughter and we both ordered the same thing, Yes the steak and cheese egg roll, with a nice cold glass of BLUE Moon beer with a slice of orange on the side. Take it from me, you will love it and the atmosphere was very nice and the service was great and very friendly.

We we're looking forward to enjoying a nice dinner at Austin, we we're the told the wait is 30-40 minutes but it was moving quicker and we should be seated sooner. after 40 minutes we noticed parties of 2 were getting seated that arrived after we did. My husband asked why''' .. he gave his name and the mgr. looked at the sheet and his name was even written down. we were totally upset and the mgr. said we would be next. i said forget it we will eat somewhere else.

I am usually very happy here but tonight I was disappointed. I ordered take out tonight & was told 15-20 minutes, I waited 37 minutes. I understand it was busy, but the manager taking my order should've known that and told me the appropriate wait time. On top of this I get home and my order was wrong. I did call and was told they would send me a "be our guest" card. Which was a nice gesture, but didn't satisfy my starving son.

We go here for work lumches from time to time. Great food, but be careful if you have any food allergies. I asked for chicken alfredo instead of their crab alfredo because I'm allergic to shellfish. I was picking through my meal and found crab.

Tonight, May 12, 2019 (Mother's Day), we took mom out to eat. All together there were 11 of us in our party. Our server, #167 Olivia P did an absolutely AMAZING job serving us! She was very friendly and personable, while still remaining professional. She always came to the table with a smile. For us being such a large party, she handled it like a true pro! I got the Grilled Salmon Oscar. It was AMAZING!!! Not a single one of us had a complaint about the taste, temperature, or serving size of the food. Everything was delicious!

Wanted to apply for a job here and learned that they pay less than $3 an hour. If you go here tip WAY more than 20%. They can get away with it because they are a small business. Places on Penn Avenue (small businesses, great food and service) pay minimum wage or higher. Yet again, TIP MORE THAN 20%!!! Tip like 50% please, they make next to nothing.

We have eaten at almost every reataurant around Greater Berks Co. Austin's continues to be the most consistently awesome restaurant in the area, in our opinion. The atmosphere is great. It's kind of dark at first, but your eyes adjust and then the lighting is lovely, not garish like the next door Sports Bar. The service is outstanding. Everyone works together and my water glass is never more than half empty. Now, the food...it's wonderful. The pasta dishes are delicious, fresh, and creamy. The burgers are huge and to die for. The chicken & ribs is delicious. The shoestring fries - my God. I also love the drink menu so I always try something new and interesting. We really love it there and I truly appreciate their consistency with being our favorite weeknight or date night dinner.

Had omelette flatbread and my boyfriend had garlic chicken and biscuits. We will definitely be back. Wish they had beer or mimosa pitchers but besides that everything was great.

My family & I had went to eat at Austins & had a great time, appetizers were great, drinks were great, our waitress was beyond nice and kept making sure we were alright, enjoying our food, + needed refills. The overall experience was very very nice, there wasn’t a thing wrong! But, then we ordered ribs for home because we were so impressed by the food, in dim lighting they looked amazing in our to go box! Once we get home, we go to eat the ribs and see little fibers IN/ON the ribs, mostly in the sauce/under the sauce almost as if they were sat/wiped on a towel before hand and the ribs were covered in these little hair/fibers. The situation was highly disappointing, & this mishap was a major let down considering the price for the ribs. I’m sure it was a mistake someone had made but like I said for that price nothing should be wrong with our food, something as gross as picking little hairs from our food + not being able to eat it at all.

It was my first time here it was a business lunch and the food was great. since I was there for business I don't know if I'll be back but if I'm in the Redding area I do plan to try to return to Austin's.

My Apple Walnut salad was fantastic! Wish it wasn't so dark in there though. I couldn't see the people who were sitting across from me!
