We really enjoy our times at Taprock, the staff is friendly and they make each visit memorable. The bar is beautiful and the beer selection is always changing as is the menu selections. It is our favorite place to relax and enjoy the ambiance.

If you're in that area you must come and see that it has beautiful waterfalls walk around down below the restaurants in Walking looking through the restaurant it's great in the food is wonderful

We have been here for an hour and a half!Just got our food. Took over 40 minutes just to get our drinks. There was only three people in the restaurant we got here. And the food is not even That good! Good luck!

We always liked this place, but today we had an unpleasant experience. Our waitress was pretty rude. When we walked in, we asked to be seated on the deck. The lady at the front desk walked us to the deck. Most of the tables were occupied. We saw one that we liked, but it had not been cleaned yet. We asked her if we could have that table. She said yes, so my husband sat at that table while waiting for another couple to show up. Then this waitress came up to my husband & told him to go back upstairs & asked to be seated. We tried to explain to her that we did ask to be seated at that table. She didn't even listen to our explanation & kept telling us to go back inside or upstairs & wait. Her attitude was rude, & she seemed to be irritated. After she finally let us sitting at that table, she threw the menus on the table without saying anything, rather than handed them to us. Those 2 stars were for the food. The food was good. I gave no star for the service. I don't know why I still gave her a decent tip. She didn't deserve any.

I really enjoyed this place. I'm not an ambience guy but this place is loaded with it. My server, Christina, was over the top great. She was friendly, helpful, patient, and even laughed at my jokes. I had the lusterburger, which seemed like a weird combination, but it worked very well. The flavor just kept rolling over my tongue. The house made chips were really good also. A very positive experience.

Absolutely the most beautiful restaurant around! Beautiful scenery and décor! Prices are reasonable, food is good. Service can be a little slow. Went twice on our vacation and both times waited more than expected for the meal and refills, or items we asked for. The hostess was super kind and sweet. Would recommend.

The Mac and Cheese was awful and cold. Been here a few times. This time they told us to find a seat upstairs. All the tables were dirty. Took someone 15 minutes to bring us water. When food came took us another 5 to get silverware. Watched the big table get excellent service and warm food.

Pretty cool place with a decent selection of beer. My wife had a cocktail that she wasn't a fan of but someone else had a different one at the table which they really liked. The location was good as we stayed in the hotel across the street so we could just walk over there

We had some relatives come to town so we decided to go here on the river. For a Saturday evening it was busy but only had to wait 15 minutes for a table for four. Our server was Joshua, top notch and friendly. Food was excellent, looking forward to going back again.

Great food. Great view of Sacramento River. Great happy hour (3-6 & 9-11). We had a traveling break for a late lunch. We googled and came. YOU can actually plan the stop. It was great. And with Happy Hour prices.

We had a so-so experience on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. It was busy - no places on the outside patio without a 30-min wait - and although our waiter did his best it felt they are short of staff. The clam chowder was delicious and creamy, but the chicken breast we ordered was a bit tasteless even with herb and garlic chimichurri sauce on it. The crispy polenta was a good appetizer, but not outstanding. The pretzel and the beer cheese was very delicious though.

Lovely place for dinner with friends. Mostly serves an assortment of sandwich/salad/burger things, but they do have some well thought out steak options, which was how went ... well, it was my birthday. The prime rib was delicious! The service was really excellent. And we sat out on the porch, after a 30 minute wait, on a Tuesday. They do not make reservations. I'll definitely be going back.

Our waiter Marty was very cool and prompt with getting our order taken care of. We are on the patio with the twinkling of stars as our back drop. The oysters were delicious and fresh! My boyfriends burger was cooked perfectly and so good. I tried a flight of the local brews and was especially pleased with the chocolate coconut porter from Caldera brewing. The decor is fabulous.

Was there Saturday with my family around 530 PM. I would have given 5 stars as the food and waiter Matt was/were awesome, but unfortunately when we came in there were 2 young girls up front who ignored us for a couple of minutes before a third young lady approached and greeted us and took us to our table. So when I say ignored, I mean my wife and I were 2 feet from the front desk and the two girls didn't give us the time of day. I wish I new the third girls name, but she was great...both her and Matt are clearly above and beyond employees.

Vegers!! Their veggie burger is even better than the Impossible Burger! Great wait staff. Had to wait to get an outside Riverside table, but it was worth it. Go and enjoy!!

First off the building and location of Taprock Northwest Grill are both beautiful. There are two fountains in the parking lot and the river is in the back. The building looks like a mountain lodge. The menu is quite extensive. I had the Hellgate Fire Burger and it was probably the best burger I have ever had. Our server, Misti, was great, and everyone of the staff that I interacted with were very friendly.

Mother's Day. Taprock was very crowded that day as to be expected our wait was less than 20 minutes. All the ladies received a red long-stemmed Rose. I had the street tacos and sweet potato fries. Only thing I have to say is I wish they hadn't salted them so much the fries. The wait staff was very prompt and courteous.

The service was not great. Our order was taken incorrectly. We brought this to the attention of our waitress. After the third time of attempting to get the bill correct we kinda gave up. It was frustrating to be dismissed and not heard. The food was just ok. We had to ask for silverware. Asked for refill on our waters that never happened. The beer we ordered sat in our sights for a bit before it was bought to our table. The service was just a disappointment, food was mediocre for the price and we will not be returning. Bummer because we had been wanting to try this place for sometime.

Went here the other night with my fiancee and our kids, we had the the best server named Matthew, he was very attentive was always there making sure we had all we needed and that our kids were happy as well. Now the food, it was very pleasent and I have nothing bad to say on it. Although their pretzel bread is so very addicting!! We will definitely be back again!

When we first moved to Grants Pass,Taprock was our favorite place to go for a great evening. I can't believe how much it has changed. I ordered the oysters and chips with a side salad. Got the oysters but no chips. When I asked the server" where are the chips? His reply was that he thought we wanted to substitute the chips for the salad. When he brought our oysters out, we were still eating our salad. He literally slid the oysters onto the table causing us to move our salads out of the way instead of placing the oysters in another spot on the table. I don't believe that we will be eating at Taprock in the future. Sad,sad,sad

Busy season, can be a bit of a wait for patio and service but the food is excellent and the atmosphere is unmatched. Excellent spot on the river! Highly recommend, excellent drink prices as well! Drinks and appetizers on special during happy hour! Very reasonably priced!

Sadly, service and quality has declined here. Takeout is a regular disappointment. The Oregon Salad I look forward to and order 1- 2 times each month is rarely packaged properly and is often made with wrong ingredients. My order on 8/16 contained errors, stale ( wrong ) nuts and pieces of spoiled lettuce. Letting managment and staff know so they could correct or prevent has not made a difference.

Taprock is gorgeously decorated and set right next to Rouge River (you can watch the river as you eat). The food was super tasty and the staff was super friendly. They did make a mistake with one of our party's order and they bent over backwards to make it right. It was an excellent experience.

My first date with my now husband was here. I fell inlove with this place in October 2013. We have been back a few times. The service and quality of food never fails!!! I have one complaint. Except we were told the Ribs were medium. I ordered the Oregon trail steak - medium rare. Yes it was. Cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the salmon. He was thrilled with it. We ordered 2 appetizers. The deep fried Oysters. They ALWAYS get that right. The Patron Attendants, as I call them, were superb. A special mention to Christina and Tom. Excellence!!!!! Both tended to every request, question, and even chatted with us when we asked questions. This is why this is my favorite Restaurant. You can not find food (apart from ribs) anywhere, with that view, and that great staff anywhere... and for the price? WOW! After fighting Cancer for 2 years, it was so relaxing to sit in the sun, watching people enjoying the Rogue River, sip a beer, with oysters, surrounded by gorgeous fauna, listening to nature, good music, and the Geese, and having Tom and Christina watching over us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Thank you again Tap Rock for giving us an extremely wonderful Anniversary!

This restaurant sits along the beautiful Rogue River in Grants Pass Oregon. You can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The food I would say is just okay. It has a bar, and actually has 4 levels of seating, 2 levels inside and 2 levels of deck. Money-wise I would give it a moderate pricing.$$

One of the nicest restaurants in Grants Pass. I have been there once or twice. If I recall, service was a little on the slow side however. The decor made up for the wait though. I would eat there again. As a matter of fact, I am not sure why I haven't gone back. Food pricing was reasonable enough. I would give it five stars if the customer service was stellar.

My experience was not so great, but was also there during dinner rush. Gorgeous balconies, woodwork, and structure. Food was delicious, though I wish there were more menu options. Theres a fountain and outside seating, plus a bar on one of the floors.

Went down hill fast not sure why. We kept giving them chances. 3 strikes and out! This last time was 3 strikes all in one night. No refilling water till asked. Steak was not rare as asked for and tasted like liver and our pizza did not have chicken on it, we also had to ask for our salad. When finally given the chicken on the side the pizza was gone and luckily we could add it to the salad. When I complained and said they should comp the steak they did. So atleast that was ok. It is on our no go list now however.

Excellent food. You can sit inside and look at the river or sit on the deck in the fresh air. Our server was friendly as well as helpful with making choices on the menu. Everything we ate was excellent. Definitely a place to return to when in the area.

Great atmosphere. Great service. COOKS ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. Ordered one of their burgers medium well it came out almost steak tartare completely raw in the middle barely Brown on the outside. So I sent it back it came out again almost exactly the same way only cook slightly more still medium rare. If you're going to charge me $15 for a hamburger maybe you should figure out how to cook it. If you don't know how to fry a hamburger, you should be pumping gas....

It wasn't busy when we arrived but the service was poor. Waited 25 minutes after being seated to be approached by our server. We had been there an hour by the time food arrived. The kids slider was just a hamburger cut in half and I never received my side salad. All around a pretty disappointing experience.

Terrible service. My waiter “Royal” was rude, snippy and had an undeserving attitude. Every question was answered with a rude condescending answer. I asked if a door could be closed because the sun was in the eyes of who I was with and he said “If you would like it closed you’re more than welcome to go close it yourself”. When I asked for ranch, three different times, each was answered with an eye roll and “I’m getting to it”. Food was ice cold when it was brought out, chicken was dry and fries were cold and mushy. Nothing was edible. Felt like I was a burden any time I asked for anything. Will not come back.

Went with a friend for dinner and a drink on a Thursday. We requested the deck and wish we would not have. There was a very large party happening and they were putting their drinks on our table and kept bumping our table. They were so loud we could not even hear each other speak. I ordered sweet potato fries and got regular fries. Also, we did not get charged for 2 of our drinks. When we brought it to the attention of our waitress she was thankful we told her. We were looking forward to a relaxing meal on the deck and that was deffinatly not what we got. The food was good and service okay. Our server was very busy with the big party.

One of the worst meals I've ever had at a restaurant, I ordered the salmon benedict. The salmon was dry and bland and the eggs were cooked all the way through. I felt they drench it in the salsa to mask it and try to give some semblance of decent flavor. My girlfriend ordered a skillet and received a plate full of overly wilted greens with a square slice of cheese that looked haphazardly slapped on top. The server was nice, it's just a shame to see a beautiful restaurant that's supposed to represent our beautiful town, misrepresent with terrible ingredients and kitchen practices.

Service was very poor. The waitress was fine but the indoor staff was very slow. First there was a 25-30 minute wait for a table. Was given a pager that didn't work. Took forever to get a drink order. Then even longer to get food. Finally asked to get order to go. Then took forever to get check and then problems processing payment.
